Blackberry cancels two smartphones and Blackberry Live for next year

The loss of the large financial numbers might be the cause of the cancellation of the upcoming smartphones from Blackberry as well as the next big live event for developers and partners coming next year. It was like a business disaster for Blackberry. Instead, they will be hosting the smaller events in the future around the globe for the next 12 months in order to cut costs.
Lastly, for smartphones, it seems that Blackberry is going to let Foxconn design the hardware for future low cost Blackberry smartphones.

Countdown to next year continues for Xbox 360 games

Phew, the Christmas celebration was over two days ago but unfortunately, I have a serious sickness since the beginning of this week so I wasn't able to do anything to celebrate. It was a shame for that to happen to me although many companies had planned something really big for that day.
Next stop will be the New Year's Eve and this on-going event will eventually last till December 31st with the different list of games so far for the Xbox 360. The second half of the event includes the Games on Demand and Xbox Live Arcade games but no DLC similar to the first half.

Caladrius and Raiden IV for Playstation 3 next year

I don't know what to say about Caladrius from what I saw on the net. It has the shyness break feature when attacking bosses that damage the clothes of the boss characters. The boss machines may have multiple pieces which may seem to make sense but then this feature is one of those downsides of the game. It may be the same to the main characters you're playing as when you get hit. We surely understand how the realistic battle works like your clothes get damaged and so is your body in which you get hurt but this is way too much in Caladrius.
OK, game concept aside, the Playstation 3 version of Caladrius will have additional stage and character so I guess that this is based on the arcade version that was recently released this year. It was originally an Xbox 360 exclusive but for the arcade version, the stage results screens are somewhat changed.
In addition to the Caladrius' release for Playstation 3, Raiden IV will be released for Playstation 3 as well with the new Overkill mode. Both games will be released next year with Raiden IV being the first.

Google Blackmail - College Humor

You know on what the fuck is Google thinking nowadays. First, the Google Plus integration to YouTube that I was almost able to report bad troll comments there, second, the private data collection through Google Plus service which makes Google even more evil than ever like they're siding with the cyber spying agencies like the GCHQ, NSA, etc. unlike Microsoft which is finally concerned about that and especially when the reasons to buy the Xbox One and Kinect for Windows V2 are starting to sound good, and recently the YouTube Content ID disaster. I don't know if that copyright disaster was fixed or not but don't fret, this is somewhat a good news to talk about this parody from College Humor regarding on what Google is nowadays.
Don't worry or rant like that, the video from College Humor about this blackmail thing from Google is more of the parody video. It's about Google trying to blackmail the fuck out of you to use Google Plus or they will advertise all the private shit of yours to some commercials or maybe the cyber spying agencies as mentioned above. Speaking of this fictional evil motive from Google, they will try to find anything inappropriate and show that off to the internet and those bad cyber spying agencies so that your future ends here.
What a nice move from College Humor for bashing on Google like that but the one I'm gonna bash on nowadays will be Google Plus for sure! Sure, it took College Humor like days to weeks to make such an interesting bashing video like that and we may somewhat encourage Microsoft to watch that freaking video.
Unfortunately, blogging about this on my Blogger blog is somewhat inappropriate as if Google will know what am I blogging. What if they think I've betrayed them like that like a rebel? Will my Google account be gone along with all my YouTube videos entirely from this? To make this bashing backfire however, it seems that all the bullshits I have mentioned here have to be removed because they have already pissed off the users that the users may end up ditching the Google services in favor of the others.

Privacy issues in Ubuntu 12.10

We're not sure if Canonical will do their best to increase privacy levels for Ubuntu but it seems that they're already do so and Android is one these OSes they want to teach a lesson of.
For some reason, switching from Mac OSX or Windows to Ubuntu is not recommended probably due to some privacy issues but there are some workarounds.
You can uninstall the unity-lens-shopping package from the terminal or something and disable Include online search results in the Privacy app. Not enough? Then you can switch to other desktop environments such as KDE, GNOME or Cinnamon. Just install one of them, log off and switch the desktop environment from the login screen and log back in.
Next is the installation of Ubuntu. During the setup screen, you can encrypt the new Ubuntu installation for security purposes. That is, before the installation process begins. Then, you're given the security key screen to enter your security password. This is probably the disk encryption and if you lose or forget this security key you have made, all data will be inaccesible and lost.
Another thing from EFF to Ubuntu users is that you may need HTTPS Everywhere extension for Firefox and Chrome.
Well, that is more of the summarized news divided into two parts from EFF website. We hope that Canonical can show Google on who's boss in privacy.

Zeitgeist of this year from SlideShare

I may be freaking afraid to blog about the Zeitgeist of last year as there were already major spoilers for sure but this year's Zeitgeist may be somewhat safe to blog about.
So the keywords at Slideshare blog mentioned were, Bitcoin, Twerking, NSA, Cronuts, Google Glass, etc. I know three of them and there will be somewhat worst moments to talk about this year probably due to a bunch of controversies ever since last year.
OK, the keywords were not the points of that blog post at SildeShare. It is all about the usage of online presentation service this year. The presentations are more visual and shorter and more mobile users are using SlideShare. Hopefully, I will take note of that blog post so that I can improve myself.
I'm sure the top best and worst stuffs or moments of yours of this year can be done late at the beginning of next year because I believe that your moments of this year are somewhat not finalized yet until we reach next year. For Slideshare, you can come up with a presentation like that and tag #Zeitgeist2013.

More Kinect for Windows V2 developer kits

OK, it seems that the Xbox One console was already out in the west and the east still has yet to wait for its release. Yesterday, the Playstation 4 was already out in Singapore and today, it is being released in Malaysia and it might be the reason to see many people queuing up for it. However, the Kinect for Windows V2 is likely to be released next year so we'll keep on getting more news about it.
The good thing is that it's easy to port the existing Kinect V1 technologies to Kinect V2 by some kind of upgrade to the new APIs.
Last time, the developer kits were sold to thousands of developers and now more are interested in this kit. So, the next program will begin sometime next year.

Beatmania IIDX Spada First-Time Play

What the hell, what should I do next then? It appears that my efforts in attempting the songs from IIDX Lincle and Tricoro are for nothing when my data was transferred to the latest game, Beatmania IIDX Spada.
Now, the way you start the Step-Up Mode for the first time is a JOKE! You start off with the lowest level instead of whatever Tier-Level of your choice you want like in the previous game. This is like going for the Spada adventures 22 x 5 times!
The real progress started with the Grade Certification mode and holy shit, it was already that difficult for me because I'm not used too much to the actual IIDX controller. Sure, I made a big progress in LR2 with the keyboard but that's not the point without the actual IIDX controller. I still need to get used to scratching and pressing the keys at the same time if I want to clear Level 8 songs with Auto-Scratch turned off. So, I passed the first-level grade with 12% of groove guage left. Seems that the end section of various songs may be the pain in the ass when scratching and pressing at the same time.

Better encryption from Microsoft (Part 2)

Now it looks like how Microsoft will plan to encrypt and secure the data inside the company premises against the cyber spying agencies we know of. First, they're using thousands of servers inside the data center to encrypt the data before it is sent to another center or even if it is not transmitted.
However, even with such plans like this, there are still vulnerabilities. First, the cyber spying agencies can do the mirror move on Microsoft by sending someone there to spoil Microsoft's plans and try to leak more data back to them. Or maybe, they can kidnap someone from Microsoft to force him to work with them like a fucking slave. If that's the case, there should be additional security that should be implemented to Microsoft as soon as possible as the secret plans are already known to the public and soon the privacy enemies like those cyber spying agencies will do something to Microsoft as well.

Project Diva Arcade Future Tone

Wow, there are like three Project Diva Arcade machines today compared to five and there is some new arcade machine that is the virtual coaster ride kind of thing. How is that an arcade game when you're riding on the virtual coaster that is similar to having a virtual ride in the theater?
Discoveries aside, all the PDA machines there were upgraded to the latest game and I already gave one machine a try. So I started off with the songs from Project Diva F as if this is the new objective starting this year. Funny thing is that I may end up treating this game as the next Sound Voltex due to the freaking Touch Slider as if I may get some complicated challenge in playing songs in Sound Voltex in the future.

Megatex December 2013 Edition

This will be the last IT show of this year before moving on to next year and the new discoveries so far were the new Rangers bluetooth keyboards. The first one was the remote control with the keyboard on the other side and its mouse control is equivalent to the Wii Remote. The second one has the touch pad mixed with number pad on the right side and the function key allows you to switch which mode for the one on the right. It's sort of like the gaming keyboard with the touchscreen on the right side where you can use the apps there.
Other than those discoveries there, there wasn't anything else that was new there. It seems that the current stuffs on display at Megatex are already available for purchase at whichever shopping complexes.

Countdown to next year with Xbox 360 game sale

As if the countdown to next year and this year's christmas are like the best or something, Microsoft has decided to put in the various games for Xbox 360 as part of this upcoming countdown with the countdown discounts. Certain Games On Demand games, XBLA and DLCs will be discounted until December 23rd. The event is said to last until December 31st.

XOLO to launch their new Windows Phones next year

XOLO is the indian manufacturer that will launch their Windows Phones and tablets next year. This is when after ZTE announced the same thing previously.
Also, the previous average news was that Microsoft was planning to purchase Nokia's device business that may somewhat affect the future of Windows Phones. Previously, it seemed that Nokia was the reason to buy the Windows Phones, leaving other manufacturers to be left out, going back to selling their Android devices. We don't know if XOLO and ZTE can extend or restore back the future of Windows Phone for sure.
Right now, there isn't any technical detail about this but we're sure that there will be more news coming in next year that I can blog about here.

First Xbox One Indie games to launch in March next year

Well, you can probably use Project Spark or the C++ to make indie games for Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows 8. But then, it may seem that Project Spark is something like Kodu Game Lab which may be way too simple when it comes to creating games with that. I don't know what to say about Kodu Game Lab when I discovered and tried it the last time. There may be similar games such as Minecraft or Little Big Planet in which Project Spark is going to be something like that where you can make custom levels with supported kinds of gameplays you want.
The previous announcement from Microsoft is the ID@Xbox program that will support self-publishing of the indie games. Previously, there wasn't Kinect support at all and the Xbox 360 Indie developers didn't have access to Xbox Live. I don't know the release date for this program but I can assume that it was already released.

Panasonic’s 20” Windows 8.1 4K tablet delayed

4K, meaning technology involvement of the resolution! This upcoming tablet is unfortunately delayed until mid-February next year for US and Japanese markets due to the fact that the device may affect the radio waves of other appliances. As an attempt to fix the problem, they will try to incorporate some new parts and change the design of the device. The resolution is really huge but the device uses the retina display like feature for that. Downside is that it is extremely expensive!

Original shows coming to Xbox 360 and One next year

What the hell? What happened to Windows Media Center for Xbox 360 already? It’s already unstable in terms of performance when connected to the computer on the network but with Metro apps such as the Pictures, Videos and Music apps on Xbox 360, you should be able to view the contents without any problem.

Apparently, the original shows will be arriving to both Xbox 360 and One next year but I don’t know what the app for those will be like for Xbox 360. The easy thing is that you will need the Xbox Live if you want to watch those TV shows but then, I don’t know what the list of channels will be like on my Xbox 360 console on MY NATION. Sure, there will be foreign channels but I don’t know how you will pay monthly for that if this is Xbox Live service.

Privacy features removed in Android 4.4.2

It may seem that Android was built from scratch to have a sophisticated and strongly enforce system of per-app permissions but many of those privacy-sensitive permissions are poorly delineated and confusing. It’s like many of those permissions are poorly implemented on the apps and the worse thing is that you can’t allow both security and privacy on Android at the same time.

This may be a fundamental problem with the previous Android models as if you install the app with some poor permission system or you avoid installing it at all. Back then, that was an improvement on Apple IOS which didn’t even have the permissions model. But after various privacy scandals, the apps on IOS will be forced to ask for permission but that’s not enough. No apps or services are allowed to collect data as part of those scandals.

In Android 4.3, there were finally privacy protection enhancements but they were removed in later releases. You can unlock this functionality by installing tools like App Ops Launcher that allow you to control most of the privacy-threatening permissions your apps may dare to obtain.

It’s a shame that my Android device is not able to run Android 4.3 and besides, I feel like it’s already risky in trying to install CyanogenMod on it for privacy enhancement purposes. This means, I don’t know if CyanogenMod can work on my Android device even after various research done weeks or months ago. Good thing is that you can backup your apps to the SD-card before you attempt to install this.

CryptBox

The email from the makers of this software I received this year was somewhat interesting due to the fact that it mentioned that you can protect your data from hackers and even the spying agencies that have been spying on people’s private stuffs. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be brave enough as this software is on Windows only and the company is Microsoft certified like there’s no other OS version for awesome data encryption.

Well, it’s basically none other than the data encryption and backup software. There are more recent products coming in from those makers as well so I’m looking forward to them.

Petition on ECPA Reform

Okay, signing the petition at White House website requires that you have the account but it’s way obvious that we can make this reform happen. However, although the petition had hit 100K signatures, the administration still has yet to respond. This is all about restoring the privacy in the US in which everyone in the globe is concerned because the United States is not the only one being the victim of cyber surveillance and it seems that the governments in various countries have no rights to gain access to the people’s private stuffs without any warrant.

Speaking of warrant, those with search warrant may have the rights to look around the house like trying to search for the criminal for example and that was like the proper way in the first place.

Of course, this is somewhat the first step in putting the end to this devilish cyber spying in the US and we have to do the same for other countries as well.

YouTube Copyright Claim Disaster– Great Disaster For Gamers

Well, this blog post may be somewhat posted as part of the next year’s new year resolutions for some reasons.

  • It’s an emergency affection to the gamers’ YouTube accounts regarding the false or stupid copyright claims.
  • The unknown reasons for the unknown culprits to make false copyright claims.
  • Maybe YouTube and Google themselves are fucked?

So, who’s going to do some investigation of this situation by then? I was like a little bit affected by this for sure as if like a few videos of mine were marked with Content ID Claims. Two of them were acknowledged for whatever reason with the recent acknowledged video being fully playable with sound.

Anyway, enough of that account of mine since the little affection but the major affection lies with popular gaming channels that are being flooded with all the bullshits out there. Some company named IDOL, which distributes the individual music companies. Has that company got to do with idol management besides music? If that is for video game music, that will be the bullshit situation we have ever seen. This kind of news is EVERYWHERE!

The brave thing is that many game publishers have already sworn on Twitter that the content claims are not coming from them. Well, it may be true because the names of the claimers look kind of fake but THIS IS NOT THE FIRST FUCKING TIME I HAD SEEN THE FALSE COPYRIGHT CLAIMS FOR YOUTUBE! The company named, IDOL, still has yet to do something about this fucking situation.

Lastly, the situation can get worse for gamers on YouTube. Channels that are labeled, Managed, will be exempt while channels that are marked as, Affiliate, will have to go through the approval process to get their videos accepted. This change will eventually happen next year in January and I don’t know what will happen next.

It’s like Google and YouTube had betrayed us all by merging Google Plus with YouTube in a stupid way. Do we use Google Plus a lot? NO, BECAUSE WE PREFER THE POPULAR SNS SITES! It’s also like they want our ASSES SPIED ON YOUTUBE LIKE IT HAS BEEN ALREADY HAPPENING AND SUPPORTING ALL KINDS OF TROLLS INCLUDING PATENT TROLLS!

Well, they’ve better remove this bullshit completely and revert back to the previous state people prefer or there will be a bad chance that we will end up bashing on YouTube and Google Plus and the worse thing is that I will eventually DITCH the fuck out of YouTube in favor of Nico Nico Douga and post my future gaming videos there. Seems that Google and YouTube might have messed with Angry Joe and pissed him off but I have been pissed off even more than he was by Google probably due to the fact that the Google Plus is a real betrayal to the freedom. This is sort of like they took us, gamers, for the ones who blow shit up.

Windows Threshold to be released next year?

Similar to Windows Blue which is Windows 8.1, Windows Threshold is the upcoming update to Windows 8.1 that will be coming in sometime next year. The previous news might have said that the product will be released in Spring two years later according to Mary Jo Foley but now, it looks like it will have additional features.
Speaking of additional features, there will be the return of Start Menu and the allowance of Modern apps on the desktop. It may be useful for desktop and laptop users but then, there were already third-party apps that are similar. It's way obvious that Stardock had made those emergency enhancement programs for Windows 8 users that Microsoft had seen them like they wanted to add their own versions of those features officially.
In fact, the Windows Phone devices still haven't got the Blue update until sometime next year and we can imagine that they will get the Threshold update the year after the year of Blue update.

Nexus TV next year

While there may be smart TVs from Samsung and LG, it seems that Google hasn't dominated the Smart TV market. What's helping Google though is the fact that certain third-party manufacturers have been manufacturing their Android TV boxes which allow you to hook them up to the TV. There may be USB keyboard and mouse of course but then, they don't seem to function well as a real Android TV or perhaps the answer to Apple TV.
The real Android TV is the fact that it's a Smart TV device powered by Android that will allow you to watch TV content, movies, listen to music, view pictures and so on. Also, this upcoming Nexus TV will have strong gaming features that allow you to play with the customized touchscreen controller and be released in the first half of next year.

Chrome apps on Android and IOS

Hmm, the Chrome apps may look kind of pointless to use on whichever devices you’re using such as the desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, etc. probably due to the apps already existing on those devices all along. The mobile apps on tablets and mobile phones are already useful enough but why do you need Chrome apps on those things? We don’t know what those apps are and especially for the games so why do we need to use Chrome apps when we already have better kinds of app to use?

Well, it’s more or less a pointless move from Google but it isn’t on Chromebooks themselves as if you can use those apps on those laptops instead! Jolicloud on the other hand has recognizable services and apps and I’ve already been using it on the live USB probably due to the fact that it can be officially downloaded.

The Chrome apps were already launched in September for desktops and now, they’re going to be available in January next year as well.

Better encryption from Microsoft will be completed by the end of next year

Well, this is taking a long time for this super encryption to be completed and deployed against the evil cyber-spying agencies we already know of and news of such spying scandal has been everywhere around the globe and everyone already knows it. In fact, we already saw a recent news on what they have been up to against the internet users. The services that will be encrypted are, Outlook.com, Office 365, Skydrive and Windows Azure.

Using the highest key length so far which is 2KBit and we’re not joking about that, this is by far the best-in-class industry cryptography Microsoft has planned. Another encryption standard called Perfect Forward Secrecy will also be implemented as well.

Under Legal Protection Reinforcement, it seems that Microsoft had already taken lawful actions against the bad things the governments had attempted to do against the customers. We don’t know when did Microsoft do this to protect us but they said that they will continue to protect us in the future to preserve their ability to alert us when some idiots DARE to force them to hand over the customer data. Of course, the consequences for such refusal are complete BULLSHIT! If Microsoft can continue to protect us, then there may be a reason to use their products again. But until the day of super-encryption, our computers and servers running Apple or Microsoft OSes are nothing but malware-infected junks. Even our tablets and phones are the similar victims as well.

China wants Microsoft to extend the Windows XP Support

Can't you even see that Windows XP is getting DAMN old that we've had enough of using it? It was interesting looking back then in the early 2000s but when the newer operating systems were likely to come out, it might look like I couldn't wait to try them. Nowadays, we're using the recent Windows OSes like Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, etc. And if that's the case that Windows XP's extended support will be ending next year in April, the other editions of Windows XP may have different support ending dates such as the fact that Windows XP Embedded is living even longer than the usual Windows XP editions.
OK, it seems that Windows XP is still the most used operating system in China with Windows 7 being the second most used OS. It was a brave move for Microsoft when it comes to Windows 7 due to having done it right after the performance disaster caused by Windows Vista. Lastly, if the extended support of Windows XP is likely to end next year April, then what about Windows Virtual PC for Windows 7, then? At this rate, it will look like we're using other virtualization software like VMWare, VirtualBox, Parallels Workstation, etc. but if you do have Windows 8, you can use Hyper-V.
So, having to end support like that for Windows XP can spell security disaster for China and cause even more piracy to happen. And that's what happens when Windows XP is made way too popular until today.

Valve joins Linux Foundation

Maybe next year, I'll probably start using SteamOS straight away as the next year's New Year Resolutions just like using Windows 8 as part of last year's New Year Resolutions. It seems that Valve joins the Linux Foundation like they're trying to promote their SteamOS to ensure that the gaming on Linux gets popular with Linux version of Steam. Games that are on Steam are already playable on Mac OSX and Linux OSes and it may seem that Ubuntu is one of the most popular Linux distributions.
Every year, they will be paying between $5000 and $20000 after joining the Linux Foundation.

Outdated Electronic Communications Privacy Act

This outdated cyber-law takes you back to the 80s when it was passed before the users had access to the computers and emails. As this is outdated, hundreds of government agencies have access to the people's content in the cloud without the warrant. So much for the progressing technology that even cloud computing has been affected by this illegal access.
The good thing is that both parties of Congress are supporting the reform of this law but we don't know what are the proper criteria like probably due to the fear that someone may make things even worse with this reform as if the main fault may lie with him. Unfortunately, the opponent against this reform is Securities and Exchange Commission, which is trying to prevent this reform from happening and allow further spying to occur.
So in the end, it seems that the illegal access to your stuffs is even worse than what NSA can do so we must make sure that this reforming should happen as soon as possible.
As the link https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/reform-ecpa-tell-government-get-warrant/nq258dxk, looks so freaking governmental, I'm leaving this action-taking to you. You will need your whitehouse.gov account if you want to sign this petition.

This year’s TGS with PS4, Xbox One and GCCX game

Well, the recent episodes of Game Center CX might have made me blog about the Playstation 4 and Xbox One’s Japanese releases. Sure, they will be released in Japan next year but as of now, there may be western-made games for both consoles so we may to wait for the games for those consoles made in Japan. We don’t know what those games are at this moment but the preview at this year’s Tokyo Game Show might be a nice opportunity.

In addition, at Bandai Namco booth, there will be the third game based on the TV show that will be available next year on Nintendo 3DS. Interestingly enough, it is developed by G-Rev in which we know them for their games like Border Down, Under Defeat, Senko No Ronde, etc. It’s not the first time that the TV show was involved at Tokyo Game Show though. There might be previous games based on that show for Nintendo DS where you play the retro-style games. Well, the show is all about the challenge of completing retro games within 24-hours or less or the challenge will be the failure. The main objective is to beat the game with the true ending but doing so will not be an easy task so the hints are provided during the show.

Google’s policies are forbidden by law according to Dutch privacy regulator

We may have remembered on how Microsoft was criticizing Google the last with the Scroogled campaign but they might seem to have gone to other paths into bashing on other products Google’s having as part of competition. It’s like they had already told their users that they were fooled by Google, saying that Google has been collecting private information of the users for some unknown purpose. What about Microsoft then? Are they doing the same thing as well?

Last year, the change of privacy policy from Google had already made them look like cyber-corporate betrayals to the users in which your emails from your Google account were already collected without your knowledge for instance. Perhaps the interesting special video commercials from Google didn’t even help enough encourage you to use their products. They surely did to us last year but now, it looks like the betrayal had already started this year when the huge spying scandal already occurred. I might have already ditched the usage of various Google services like Google Plus, Drive and Gmail. Maybe I don’t give a shit of them in favor of other popular services like Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, AOL Mail and Sina Mail.

So in the end, it may seem that Google is in trouble for violating some European law by collecting data of users’ private information and we’ll see how the regulator is looking at enforcement measures against them in the upcoming DPA hearing. And Google’s way of ‘Telling Your World’ to use their products last year is more like betraying it.

SITEX IT Show November 2013 Edition

Sure are new ones to take a look at. The Hall4B consists of the major gaming area with the Pioneer DJ booth just after the entrance but at Halls 5 and 6, they may be full of IT technology consisting of mobile devices, computers, ISPs and TVs to take a look at.

The newest technology so far is Toggle by Mediacorp and holy shit, it’s so limited that you can buy that product at Singapore Expo until December 1st which is the last day. What this does is to make the sound louder by placing your mobile device on top of it. It may be something like placing the Wii Remote on the tissue box and you do the tapping to cause the vibration but here, when it comes to Toggle, your mobile device’s internal sound is causing the vibration which causes its speakers to vibrate as well. Plus, there’s even the set of cables for charging your mobile device via the portable charger. Also, you can buy the subscription that allows you to view the foreign content through your mobile device. Similar to what ViewQwest allows you to on your mobile device through the FreedomVPN but just like ViewQwest, you may need to buy the subscription extension online in which you will have to pay monthly fees.

At ViewQwest, I may have some concerns regarding Crunchyroll as if not all animes can be viewed there even with the free account probably due to living in Singapore and that can be the problem for us. The worse thing for us is that, certain animes we want to watch at Crunchyroll give us the previews as if the time length is quite short which is something we don’t want. Perhaps we’re more limited probably due to ISPs here blocking the shit out of Crunchyroll. But at ViewQwest booth, I didn’t know how the hell did they get through the restriction like I could watch whatever I knew of. Is it due to FreedomVPN being inside the router or perhaps the computer?

The last surprise is that there may be Microsoft tablet devices as I saw running Windows 8.1. It wasn’t much of a surprise to me as I have already known the types of computers a lot like what am I interested in when it comes to IT shows will be the new technology to be shown off there.

The last truth was that I wanted to buy the Pioneer DJ stuff home only to find that all the stuffs there are so expensive starting from $300+ and above but even then, I’m more of a bedroom producer than the DJ to be frank like there’s not enough reason for me to buy one such equipment like that home.

Last discovery is the Lenovo tabletop PC. What a cool thing like it’s a touchscreen computer on the table that is for home use. It may be useful for the family when it comes to casual games, but to business users, this PC may be more or less personal to them as if they can mimic the experience in using the tabletop PC in the business places. Sort of like the ones seen at Singtel room in the shopping complexes where you can explore the catalogs there.

Microsoft to encrypt more of their data to prevent NSA spying

Well, there might be multiple programs the NSA has been using to spy on the Microsoft users and Microsoft is trying to encrypt the data to prevent further spying from happening. The recent program, MUSCULAR, is targeting the traffic and data from Google, Yahoo and others and it may be reason on why Microsoft is trying to protect the users even further. But we don't know if those idiots can try to take stupid actions against Microsoft like landing them in court for going against their programs for instance.
Now, it may seem that the new Kinect device may be free from the bad motives but it cannot be the same for various Microsoft services and programs such as BitLocker, Windows OSes, Office 365, Internet Explorer, Windows Server OSes, Hotmail, Windows Live, Skype and so on.
One more thing, I might have forgotten to talk about the upcoming sports related events that will fall victim to the similar cyber-spies as well that will be coming in next year but then, I'm not into sports to be honest so my plans to blog about those were scrapped as those events to blog with may require more details.

Xbox One’s interaction with the commercial?

It’s kind of shameful on the makers for making the Kinect overly powerful enough to start this kind of technical craziness. Basically, the commercial of the Xbox One is displayed on TV and says out the command that turns on the console in your home itself. Perhaps there may be flaws with voice command barrier. The Kinect device is NOT supposed to follow orders from strangers! What if someone says out the commands from the outside or other side of the room?

It’s annoyingly confusing that the owners who have bought this console may have some sort of technical complaints. What were the makers of this new Kinect thinking like they forgot to check for additional flaws? What about the Kinect device for the previous console and PC? What about the Playstation 4 camera then? Will there be same flaws as what the Xbox One Kinect has? Your best bet will be to get the console and the Kinect device completely powered off and disconnected when not in use.

Kinect for Windows Version 2 Developer Preview

Apparently, those private stuff collection bullshits we mentioned against this device were of no more so this is likely to be a good news for Windows Kinect users. This new Kinect device will be released next year in order to evolve the full body motion technology even further. During the launch of Xbox One two days ago, there was even the Developer Preview version of this device sent to the testers.

From Kinect for Windows official blog, there’s even the beta version of the SDK in which the developers who signed up for the program will get the ongoing SDK updates and the final version of the device sensor during the product release.

If Microsoft can keep up with the freedom like that after the launch of Xbox One, then it may be reasonable to buy both that console and the Windows version of the new Kinect. Until then, we may have to wait until Kinect for Windows is released next year as the amount of freedom isn’t that high enough for the technology users.

Well, even with this kind of news, I don’t give a shit about the Kinect for gaming purposes. I can probably try to use that device to try out some technology for whatever things I want to work on but there’s no way to know where to buy the Windows version of this device from the retail store. So, I guess that there will be more products of next year to be blogged here.

Office 2013 Service Pack 1 coming early next year

Next year, there will be upcoming Service Pack 1 for the latest Office, SharePoint and Exchange products. This may deliver performance enhancements, feature updates and improve compatibility with Windows 8.1 which was already out months ago that Windows 8 users should upgrade to 8.1 whenever possible. OK, what else is there to say about this upcoming service pack? There isn’t much else to say from this official link: http://blogs.office.com/b/office-news/archive/2013/11/20/office-2013-service-pack-1-coming-early-next-year.aspx.

Office 365 Message Encryption

It seems that Google already has the full encryption on most of its service but it seems that Outlook.com is like a complete joke due to lack of encryption. This one’s powering the Office 365 services along with Windows Azure Rights Management which is part of E3 and E4 plans. Well, thankfully, the new Outlook site may seem to be part of the Office 365 cloud technology where you can use this new message encryption feature to encrypt your messages through your Office 365 ID or Microsoft account.

From the Message Encryption interface, it appears to be based on the Outlook Web App, in which Office 365 webmail is also using. With Message Encryption, you can customize the disclaimer text and header text in your company’s encryption emails as well as the company Logo and portal text that appear in your encrypted emails.

Office 365 Message Encryption will be available in the first quarter of next year and it is probably available for business users.

New firmware for LG Smart TV stops the spying

A smart move is that the LG had admitted that their TVs are spying on the users that the complaints were already filed and now that they’re planning on making the new firmware that stops this from happening. It’s like their TVs are doing what the Xbox One Kinect will do except that it may seem that the real betrayal nowadays is likely to be Google Plus for having similar spying feature for advertisement purposes when we may probably think that the companies have some motives in working with the spying agencies.

However, we don’t know if the promise to stop this spying is real as the users who have bought the LG Smart TVs are already complaining about it.

Full user communication encryption by Yahoo in April next year

Well, it seems that some companies like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft ,etc. are trying to regain trust by trying to distance themselves from those stupid spying programs everybody knows of but it may appear that they may be forced to contribute even further or their business will come to a halt with some stupid fines.

However, we don’t know if they are trying to distance themselves away or something. What if this whole thing is a lie like they’re trying to make more data collection reports? Even with the high amount of encryption system Yahoo’s going to get next year, that will not be enough against those stupid spies.

Lastly, what is Yahoo planning to do is that they are planning to encrypt not only its E-mail service, but also all data sent to and from the company’s data servers.

PrimeSense–Bought by Apple

This week, the Xbox One will be launched along with its new controversial Kinect device that consumers are forced to buy when buying that console. At least, the first Kinect device was good enough for technology users and it was developed by PrimeSense which has just been brought up by Apple. Perhaps there must be a Kinect-like device that supports the IOS devices and some IOS games already happen to be using that device invented by PrimeSense. I may have known one of those Sega IOS rhythm games that does that but I still have to know more info about that game. It may be something like Dance Central, Dance Evolution or Just Dance, I don’t know.

Additional information from the news can be found at Engadget and Slashgear websites respectively. After PrimeSense was bought by Apple, it seemed that that Microsoft was on its own inventing their own Kinect for Xbox One and there will be the Windows version that will be coming in next year which is sort of like adding additional fire to the fuel against the freedom months after Xbox One is released.

Xbox One Demonstration with Kinect

Didn’t you remind yourself already that each button to be selected with EyeToy takes a few seconds? At least for the Wii Remote and Playstation Move, you can press a button after pointing the cursor at some button for instant-clicking although I don’t know how the cursor is moved with the Wii Remote by the way since I don’t have the Wii or the Wii U.

Startup-wise, the Xbox One console is claimed to start up fast just like Windows 8 does but then, the console is pretty much divided into multiple parts such as the Windows OS and game section. It seems that the main OS is something like Windows Server Hyper-V that tries to emulate both that I can’t guarantee that the console may boot up that fast after some time. If the games and other stuffs are all in one OS for that console, then it may have the chance to boot up that fast.

There may be some abilities taken from Windows 8 that can be done with Kinect but then, having these may somewhat conflict with the Kinect games and having a touchpad for the controller combined with the Windows 8 Laptop Touchpad control features can make a headache even worse for the users.

Once again, I still find the voice command to be kind of embarrassing to use so I turned it off on my Xbox 360 console.

The link can be found there: https://vine.co/v/hTHl29JTwi2/embed

Playstation Exec takes a shot at Kinect

Great thing was that the Playstation 4 was launched a few days ago or something and compared to Xbox One, its camera accessory is optional. Sure I don’t give a fuck of some accessory like this to interact like that but it seems that I already have an idea on what project to do that makes use of that accessory.

Also, not all types of games are suitable to make use of the Kinect accessory and especially when the games are under the same game genre. Sure, not all kinds of sports can be implemented with this technology but it seems that some games are already the failure for implementing some sports games that are thought to be too complicated in terms of concepts.

So in the end, it seems that this kind of technology is going towards future technology implementation instead of gaming as if the standard game controller is being stuck back according to the SCE America CEO. Maybe the touchpad on the PS4 controller is good enough for gaming but can it be good enough for MMORPG and strategy games? I bet that MMORPG games on PS4, a keyboard or keypad may be needed.

Beatmania IIDX 21 Spada Ustream

THIS IS SPAAADAAAAAAAAA! OK, you should have known the 300 reference when it comes to the upcoming sequel to Beatmania IIDX 20 Tricoro. Good thing about Ustream is that if you have missed the live stream, you can watch it later as the live streams are stored on the site like forever.

The upcoming sequel is dark fantasy looking and especially when the title screen writes out the word, Spada with the sword which looks quite amazing. However, the background is static in terms of animation and the other background layer is like moving upwards. I guess the screen is divided into three after the word writing. At first, the backgrounds are gray-ish and there’s one more background layer that is rotating. I probably expect some real fire animation in the title screen but that will be difficult to produce.

The voice is low-pitch male like trying to fit in the dark fantasy theme. It’s in Game Start screen, Music Select screen, Mode Select screen and the Game Result screen. However, some parts of the game have traces of the previous game which may seem to be an inaccurate move compared to those gothic skins used in Lunatic Rave 2. It’s like there may be difficulty for players to look at if everything is completely changed including the in-game frame. Sure, the in-game frame is still looking like the previous game but the video section has its frames changed.

At the stage result screen, for whatever reason, the sound of the crowd is like having a victory in battle when you clear a song. After the stage result, the door eventually closes and the game moves on to either Music Select screen or the Game Result screen.

However, this is all you can see at UStream until the game is out. There’s some trick you can toggle Double and Single mode at Music Select screen as seen in the live stream. The game will be out in November 13 in the middle of the KAC Prelim rounds. I don’t know what the song list is like for Tricoro folder in the next game once it’s out but until then, we have a few days left of Tricoro. Music in IIDX Spada is orchestral, sort of like playing those traditional fantasy RPG games or some sort.

OneGuide for Xbox One in UK next year

TV, TV, TV, SPORTS, SPORTS, SPORTS? WELL, STOP IMPLEMENTING THINGS LIKE THESE! I don’t watch those shows even if they are watchable on the game console! WHERE ARE THE EASTERN TV SHOWS AND MUSIC IN MICROSOFT FREAKING TECHNOLOGIES? At least Apple has ALL kinds of music contents MADE AROUND THE GLOBE!

OK, the thing here is that the OneGuide will be part of the Xbox One in the US but it will be delayed until next year in the UK. And that’s all they have with bringing us external TV channels even in Asia Set-Top Boxes?

Also, there will be large of multimedia apps that will be available for that console but the company right now doesn’t know on how many of them that will be ready for the actual launch date. Another thing is, the users can find and watch TV shows via the freaking Kinect. What about the use of remote controls or the game controller for that app? If Kinect is the only way, then you’re better off watching those TV shows via the ISP’s Set-Top Box, not the one for the freaking console.

Facebook, the optionless betrayal by data collection?

While Google and Microsoft have their technical motives to collect your private stuffs for advertisement purposes, you can pretty much turn those features off like they have already promised over the users’ raging concerns. However, it seems that Facebook is starting to become the next betrayal for sure. Right now, we don’t know if there’s a way to turn off that technical motive Facebook is going to have against its users.

So when it comes to data collection, it seems that your mouse movements are Facebook’s first victim but we still have some more months before Facebook will eventually betray us technically. So if you mouse over a link or perhaps an ad, you’re pretty much spied.

And at the moment, it seems that Facebook is collecting two types of data from its members such as demographic and behavioral. Demographic is all about you, your location, y our school, your workplace, etc while behavioral is all about your friends, your likes of posts and other stuffs, etc. This is all absolutely BULLSHIT for the users as if the lawsuits against the spying agencies have been LIES!

Lastly, the new datacenter is likely to be coming soon in March next year so we don’t know if this kind of technical betrayal will arrive on that day.

Xbox One Privacy Policy updated before launch

We don’t know if your data will or will not be collected for advertisement as if we don’t believe if this is the truth or not but that was some previous news discovered from Neowin. We’re talking about the latest news taken discovered from that site site. The privacy policies are recently updated this week before the console’s launch in November 22nd.

According to the update, it states that the authentication information stays on the console and is not shared with anyone but we don’t know if this is the same for other features of the Xbox One Kinect such as the Xbox Music, Xbox SmartGlass and more. ‘Captured for Analysis’ for voice commands? What if that falls under that same motive? For me, I don’t give a shit about it so I turned it off on my Xbox 360 system but the fact is that I don’t want to use that feature as it may seem to be either embarrassing or inappropriate for me.

Microsoft Insights Jump Start

What a great Jump Start but it took place at the different broadcasting location with the guests coming from other companies. It is basically about how you will advance your IT life to the career by how you will take the Microsoft certified courses so that you can take an IT job based on those courses you have taken. Then, there was some global situation, people dropping out of the universities as if they were not able to make it that they were left jobless. Well, there was obviously no need to worry about being jobless like forever if that was the case. You can still can take a job to the IT related company such as Microsoft, Cisco, etc. based on the certified courses you have taken. You can also include in the certified courses in your resume as well as questioned by someone in the Q&A section.
The presentation was short and the first phase lasted an hour but after that was the interview time that lasted for two hours. I heard that the certified exams will be more difficult than before as if the exam layout will not be the same anymore and the requirements are likely to be spread out even more. You will need sufficient skills and experience for those exams. I do have skills and experience in networking, virtualization, cloud, Windows administration, etc but then, I do need to have more of the skills and experience if I want to get prepared for the certified exams in the future. Also, the technology is changing that I may need to KNOW the new features of it. Like, I don't even know what those new things are from Windows Server 8 onwards for instance, and I don't know much of other tools like System Center, Windows Server, other VMWare technology and other virtualization tools.
Virtualization-wise, even System Center will be involved as well due to the fact that you can use that tool to deploy, patch and manage virtual machines there. For cloud, things may be difficult when it comes to forming your OWN private cloud. Yes, the course about forming your own private cloud is more difficult and especially when it comes to using Windows Azure which is business related IT technology that it is not suited for personal use.
Lastly, the Jump Start even had the 60FPS Microsoft Insights commercials that were played during the break and the media player for playing those Jump Starts is revamped.

iMessage–Vulnerable to spying of users’ messages?

OK, we may be sure that the company may never dare to do the spying on their own but if they’re order to do so, then it looks like we’re fucked for using their products like that. The news about this may be everywhere so even non-American news articles about this are there as well talking about the company’s ability to read the users’ messages from the iMessage app.

Now, we may know that the normal hacker can’t sneak in such things like this due to how powerful the encryption system is for today’s technology but things cannot be the same when those stupid spying agencies can intrude in the services like iMessage and BitLocker to collect data from users like trying to detect for baddies. We don’t know if iMessage will be used by Apple for spying purposes but it is said that it is not gonna happen. Some company called QuarksLabs has found some vulnerability which enables the spying to happen.

So, what should you do? Do you use Android, Windows Phone or BlackBerry when seeing such kind of news like this? Either way, you’re spied no matter which brand of smartphone do you use. It will be a shame on Apple for following the order to read those messages as well.

At least Google may have like same guts to collect your stuffs for advertisement but you are given an opportunity to disable some option that disallows Google to do that because things will get out of hand next month if you didn’t disable that. I already disabled that for my Google account but for now, I don’t think that there’s enough evidence of knowing Google’s similar corrupted motives.

Future of privacy rights in Europe

Three days from now and the European Parliament’s Civil Liberties Committee will decide the future of the privacy rights of the Europeans and of course, whether you’re from Europe or not, you may have already known about what the NSA has been up to today. News about that has been everywhere and better privacy in Europe may mean better freedom. However, the proposals for this have been targeted by the foreign governments and corporate lobbyists so we must make sure that those proposals are approved.

Skype on the other hand was already in investigation for attempting to gang up with those spies to spy on their users under some law in Europe and that was some good news we had already seen in Neowin but that doesn’t mean the spying from Skype will probably end like that after the investigation.

Beatmania IIDX Gameplay Report Oct 8th

Okay, it seems that I’m finally used to the turntable in addition to the keys but I still have to improve my skills even more if I want to attempt Level 8 songs with Auto-Scratch turned off. Level 9 songs are pretty much Assist-Clear attempts for me so I guess that I can handle Level 6 and 7 songs with Auto-Scratch turned off although the grading is likely to be affected with this challenge. Furthermore, I attempted one of the boss songs from IIDX Lincle and Assist-Cleared it.

Jubeat Gameplay Report Oct 8th

OK, I still have tons of songs to attempt in Beatmania IIDX and SDVX and the songs in IIDX I will have to attempt will be the ones from IIDX Lincle and Tricoro. It’s kind of jerky to blog my playing of the same games again as there’s probably nothing new to say. However, it seems that we have to tell you the additional update regarding SDVX that the Skill Analyzer/Grade Certification Mode is updated with different sets of songs as well as the newer grade levels which may consist of songs to be played in Infinite difficulty.

Jubeat on the other hand as played yesterday, well, there were newer songs in stores for me but I attempted the songs I could recognize so what else can I say? I’m already sticking back to SDVX and Beatmania IIDX for sure.

NPAPI is of no more in the future

Netscape Plug-In API or NPAPI is already damn old and it will be phased out in the future. Even Mozilla is already planning to block those plugins in December this year with Google doing the same thing in January next year. For Google Chrome, this will be effective in Stable channel by default.

However, the downside for doing this is that Silverlight, Unity, Java, Facebook Video, Google Earth and Google Talk are likely to be blocked as well but to avoid disruption to users, they will be temporarily whitelisted for security reasons. For Silverlight, I may still need it by the way for Microsoft Virtual Academy thing. For Facebook Video, I don’t know if it will be using Adobe Flash Player technology to playback videos like that.

Good thing is that the Adobe Flash Player technology and PDF viewers are not NPAPI related as if you can use them in the first place.

Steam Machines next year

In addition to the SteamOS that will be arriving, there will be Steam machines that will be arriving next year. They will be low-end, mid-end and high-end machines so take your pick on which one do you want for Steam gaming. Of course, the OS itself is Linux based ever since the former Microsoft employee working at Value had taken Windows 8 for a major product disaster.

But first, those machines are still in development and you can participate in hardware beta-testing. You have until October 25th before the list will be locked according to the official website.

Until then, we may have to know what kind of Linux OS Steam OS will be using and besides, we have to wait until the OS itself is out. Will this be a new opportunity for me to try out on my existing computer as there are way too many Linux distributions to choose from?

Windows 8–Vulnerable to some backdoors that lead to spying?

It seems that the German government was concerned about some vulnerabilities detected in Windows 8 including Windows 8.1 which had already gone final stage but going below Windows 8 doesn’t mean you’re safe from those spying agencies. That article was already discovered long ago at Neowin and I forgot to blog about it. We don’t know if Microsoft is going to patch the OS from those vulnerabilities probably due to the OS being insecure like that. But I can guess that they will have no such plans like that like they may lie to their consumers. If this is the case, why don’t we use something else right now?

Marco Civil

While they are in the middle of the preparation for a big set of actions to be taken against the tyrannical NSA for the agency’s lies, spying and going too far a month from now, there is some bill in Brazil that we must make sure that it doesn’t end up like the CIS** bill or something like that.  The voting will take place within 45 days from two days ago or something as planned by the President of Brazil. Marco Civil is one of the most progressive frameworks for internet policy ever drafted. It would secure the right to high-speed access and network neutrality, privacy standards against surveillance and guarantees for freedom of expression online. This is something we around the globe should keep watch on.

Unfortunately, the Brazilian telco lobby or whatever it is wants the Marco Civil to be used in similar ways CIS** bill is but thankfully, President Rousseff came out strongly in support of the Marco Civil’s net neutrality provisions. Not only are the protections crucial to upholding the integrity of the framework, they are an opportunity for Brazil to set international precedent. Also, we may have to be concerned that there are similar amendments to the bills that require the large companies to do the same shit as what the baddie NSA orders the companies to do so to the American users. We must not allow that kind of amendment to corrupt this bill like that. We must ensure that even the Brazilian Congress members are serious about the net neutrality protections as well.

More news to come by email from Access Now and other stuffs and the action to take is available from here: https://www.accessnow.org/page/s/hands-off-the-marco-civil.

Beatmania IIDX Tricoro Gameplay Report 9.21

For whatever reasons, the turntables are receiving non-immediate input response that I may have to stick on the CRT machine of the game at Bugis Virtualland arcade if I want to Non-Assist Clear songs one day.

Now, there is some good news of progress. I cleared B4U in Hyper in IIDX Tricoro but my grade is like shit as in below C grade. How am I supposed to get the timing right and my timing from Timing Adjustment is at +0.5 or +0.4? However, even with that adjustment, it appears that I’m never able to get the better grade in IIDX.

Project Diva Arcade Gameplay Report 9.21

Looks like there’s unexpectedly a Contest Mode where you have to fill in the medal bar or something. The bar is divided into four different colors and getting at least 150% onwards is a must in order to pass. I gained the Silver medal from fulfilling the requirements for obtaining the Silver medal. Unfortunately, to complete one Contest Level, you will need to play this game twice as each Contest Level consists of four stages. I chose the Middle Level which you must clear the songs in Hard difficulty. Unfortunately, there are various Vocaloid songs I’m not familiar with and I attempted them straight away that affected my playing.

Sound Voltex II Gameplay Report 9.21

Okay, I take it that I’m sticking on up to Song Level 9 as going for Level 10 onwards is really difficult for me. From the music select screen, there are multiple categories ranging from Touhou Arranges, Bemani, Sound Voltex Floor, Exit Tunes and other stuffs. Sure, certain Vocaloid songs we know of from non-Konami rhythm games are parts of Exit Tunes as licensed songs but there are Vocaloid songs we don’t know of. I don’t know if I will be attempting the shit out of all the Vocaloid songs in SDVX II as it can be crazily more money consuming than attempting all the Vocaloid songs in Maimai series.

Project Diva F 2nd Update

Wow, sure has newer parts of the gameplay we never even understand of until the explanation is revealed in the game’s official website. From the game’s official website, you get the scratch, double-scratch and link-scratch. What is Link-Scratch? How does it work? Well, I know two out of three but by assumption that is. I assume that for double-scratch, you may have to scratch twice like you scratch the turntable forward and backward. Scratching forward or backward is one time while scratching back and forth is two times.

Now, the existing songs from the previous Project Diva games will be remade for this upcoming sequel with improved graphics and redone notechart. For Playstation 3 users, you may get the graphical upgrades as well as the redone notechart for the existing songs in this upcoming sequel even though you may have seen the same music videos before in the previous Dreamy Theater games.

The game will be out for Playstation 3 and Vita next year.

Firefox Metro version delayed to January next year

The Metro version of the Firefox browser is supposed to be released sometime in December this year for Windows 8 and above but due to the decrease of the average team velocity, it seems that the amount of time taken to work will be longer than usual. For the Metro version, the interface may look comparable to the Android version I’m using except that it is much more solid than ever. For the mobile version, the tabs bar can be toggled with the button on the top-left so if you’re in Vertical orientation mode, the tabs bar will be on top for example. It may look comparable to the one in IE metro version although you still can’t move the tabs for whatever reasons, I don’t know. The good thing about Firefox Mobile version is that you can still synchronize your stuffs from your computer to your mobile devices although it can’t be the same for the addons and other stuffs. For Windows 8 tablet users, you can still use Firefox desktop edition with addons and stuffs for price sake or something but the desktop interface doesn’t seem to be touch-friendly so you may need some mouse for that.

Puyo Puyo Tetris

To be ultimately great in Tetris, you should have tolerated through the 20G speed and cleared the game like that as that speed is seriously difficult but hardcore to be eligible in becoming a true hardcore Tetris player. That is the famous hardcore feature ever since Tetris The Grandmaster series. Sure, there’s even the Marathon Mode as played in various Tetris games but things don’t seem to be that hardcore enough so it’s quite tolerable although further levels are when things are starting to get difficult.

And speaking of Tetris games today, I expect such a speed like that as well as the modern controls and smoother gameplay. For Tetris Battle on Facebook, I found things kind of laggy so fuck it. At least you can have played those epic Tetris games made in Japan instead even if they are doujin games or some sort.

Now comes the collaboration of Puyo Puyo and Tetris in which Sega and The Tetris Company are not kidding about, you can choose whichever gameplay type you like and then commence the battle. Sure, when it comes to battle, you may have sent a bunch of nuisance blocks to your opponent’s field so you may have encountered that kind of battle in various Tetris games that have the VS modes. Also, I may expect such a very high speed in this upcoming game that will be released next year.

And speaking of the game’s release, it will be released for Wii U, 3DS, PS3 and PS Vita. I don’t know if this will be in Asian PSN so that I can get this in the future.

Beatmania IIDX Tricoro Gameplay Report Sep 13th

Damn, looks like I failed the third level of Skill Analyzer in SDVX II which was fucking bad by the way but I believe that Skill Analyzer and Dan Certification Modes are not likely to be my first steps anymore. Even with progress made, I may still be stuck.

Progress-wise for IIDX Tricoro, I might have attempted the songs like Smooooch, Sayanora SUPERSTAR, Re:Generation, Freeway Shuffle, Follow Tomorrow, Blue Straggler, etc. The song names mentioned here and attempted this week were the ones I previously arranged the last time and posted the arrangements on YouTube but I also chose the songs whom I did not arrange at all times.

Maybe next time, I will try to attempt the SDVX songs in Standard mode like Daily Lunch Special, Smooooch, Hallelujah, Butterfly-cat, Freeway Shuffle, Trigger Happy, etc. I already unlocked Trigger Happy as well as some Touhou songs but man, there sure are many Touhou arrangements as well as so many Vocaloid songs there. Nowadays, there are even Vocaloid songs which I’m familiar with as well maybe because they are also in Sega rhythm games today in addition to SDVX II.

California schools being spied?

You know, this is one of the stupidest ideas ever fulfilled in California schools to spy on the students like in case whatever school offense or any lazy thing is bound to happen. Indeed, having to monitor all students’ performance and behavior like that is one of the stupid ideas because nobody cares for those ideas by the way.

Now, you can sign the petition here at http://cms.fightforthefuture.org/schoolspying/ to take action against that spying idea because if nothing is done to stop it, then the spying may eventually spread. Even worse is that other US School Districts have already tried this method as well. However, the good information is that a few years ago, it was said that it is illegal to spy on the students in Pennsylvania. Well really, those fools? Even the personal and mobile gadgets of the students are pretty much affected by the spying stuffs as well as if it can’t be helped. We don’t know if even private browsing is going to help either and especially when the gadgets boot up the other operating systems which are not affected by the spies.

Bitlocker the technical betrayal?

Articles about the NSA and FBI stuffs are everywhere in the globe and wiping them out is one of the stupid orders/plans like what someone already issued in wiping out hard disks containing leaked documents of the evil spying motives at The Guardian. According to some article I discovered, it seemed that there was some backdoor implemented inside BitLocker so that this evil spying can continue ever since the Windows Vista days.

Also, there is some progress going on from EFF, Fight for the Future, IDL, etc. that more stuffs are coming in on what those evil spying agencies have been up to. The targets range from computers, tablets, smartphones and even your private stuffs in US powered technology brands. However, to be frank, I have been SICK AND TIRED of talking and blogging about these as there’s no FUCKING END to this saga. If THIS is the BULLSHIT they’ve been continuing against the civilians, then there may be no point using technologies affected by that.

SDVX II First Run

OK, the timing has more ease than IIDX itself and especially for the inclusion of Skill Analyzer which is similar to IIDX’s Dan Mode but the Laser notes posed me the challenge like trying to turn the knobs to the beat properly.

Now, I started off with the Skill Analyzer when playing this for the first time from the lowest level. I’m at Level 2 right now but I don’t know when will I go any further. The input response is immediate, so is the one for IIDX machines at the Bugis Virtualland arcade.

Project Diva Arcade Gameplay Report Sep 9th Edition

What was some lady doing in the arcade asking me for stupid donations and so forth while I was playing? THIS IS BY FAR THE WRONG PLACE TO ASK FOR DONATIONS LIKE THAT? It’s like she wanted to cause any stupid trouble at the arcade. Imagine that this kind of donation thingy takes place at the Bugis arcades. I’m sure those asking for donations will be like out of luck.

Now, talk about the updates of the Tampines Mall Timezone arcade, it appears that the Maimai game is updated to Maimai Green and there are 5 PDA machines  now with the fifth one that is vulnerable to the players blocking some path but since the fifth machine addition was kind of recent, the touch screen interactivity surely worked on me like the cursor effect did not appear away from my finger when I tapped unlike other machines where their touch screen thingy is starting to become even worse. Unfortunately, it appears that the Maimai game is damn popular that the random groups of players have been playing it. I can’t be going to the arcades like everyday or so and each play is pretty damn short if you will.

Makato Asada at MAGES.–Working on untitled Xbox One game

Is the betrayal or rebelling near when it comes to Makato Asada working on Xbox One game that will be released in the future? Other information includes MAGES working on the Xbox Live Arcade version of some PC game that will be released next year. So, we don’t even know what kind of game is he working on for Xbox One at MAGES but the thing is, we still want the Playstation 4 to have the greater shmup support as the console itself gives you MORE FREEDOM.

This year, he might have left Cave Interactive into working at MAGES as if the Cave-like resources are still with 5PB Games. They might have recently released Ketsui for Playstation 3 based on the Xbox 360 port with the new company alias for that version. So if Ketsui for Playstation 3 has made it to PSN, there may be more chance for people to buy in case the retail copies are sold out and especially when it can be played on the Playstation 4 as well.

Playstation 4 to be released next year in Japan

Alright, there are tons of Japanese-made Playstation 4 games coming as well as the console itself to be released next year so we may have until next year if we want to play them out once they are released in Asia as well. Sure, not all Japanese games are released in Asian regions un-translated or something.

Various examples I know of include the new EDF, new Dream C Club, new Idolmaster, new Phantom Breaker, new Guilty Gear and so on. Of course, out of these here, I may be interested to take a look at the new Idolmaster and Phantom Breaker games for the Playstation 4 that will be released next year.

OK, I don’t know why the conference about these took place yesterday like I supposed it should be taking place earlier or later than yesterday as I’m frankly sick and tired of everything C****-ish. It’s a serious damage to my brain like I can’t even do well ever since like few years ago. Maybe I should have avoided anything special about September 9 and moved on.

COMEX IT Show (September 5 to 8)

What a big IT show due to taking two halls from Hall 5 to 6 at Singapore Expo! There are tons of tablets, desktop and laptop computers to check out ranging from Windows 8 related computers and tablets and Android tablets from the familiar brands like Acer, Asus, Samsung, HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc. The other same brands are back such as Rangers, Microsoft, Apple, Logitech, etc. in which they are displaying their accessories again. Also, there are other Android devices by other brands I don’t even know of such as those devices made in America or some Chinese-speaking countries. Compared to my Android tablet device which is Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, there are differences in the Android interface depending on the Android device.

Other big things included the ISPs, TVs, GPSes, Cameras and so on. I also went to the ViewQwest booth to make more talks about it and made comparison between ViewQwest and the ISPs we know of now. For ViewQwest, they have both the fiber broadband, Freedom VPN and the Android TV device to be controlled with the mouse and keyboard similar to other Android TV devices I had already seen. Before I made a discovery with ViewQwest, it seems that the OpenNet fiber device is somewhat an add-on to your existing home network and I don’t even know how it works except that I was told that you can use some VPN technology with OpenNet. I’m still having the ADSL Broadband connection which is by far not the fastest compared to Fiber technology. Unlike Fiber-Optic connection, the ADSL Broadband connection has its own lifespan or something whose performance decreases over time. There were even projectors and pianos by Canon and the projectors were damn recent. Cool thing about them was that they had the Digital Zoom effect, the HDMI port and the remote control. Hopefully, the companies and schools should use the projectors with new features like that in the future as there has been bitching about not able to see the screen from far distance due to using VGA or something. One unnecessary thing was the inclusion of the USB drive port for presentation and other stuffs. You can store your presentation to your USB flash drive to be hooked up to the projector but the presentation format is not what you know of. You’ll need the driver software CD for installation to do this if you want to present by USB alone. What a downside of those projectors for me but they are damn great overall.

Lastly, there was another company that offers the certified courses to study. This is not the first time I was in the IT show where I discovered the previous company that offers those courses. The downside is that they may be expensive as hell but I don’t think I will be ready for those courses anytime soon. Also, there were other accessories like the new earpieces, headphones, speakers, external hard drives, Chromebooks, NAS and D-Link booth. Chromebooks are looking like the rare thing but from what I saw of the interface of Google Chrome OS, it looked even better than what I saw back then when the OS was still in development. After this IT show, you can look for those Chromebooks at Courts retail stores.

Gaming Engines for Windows 8 Jump Start

OK, another Jump Start I attended with lots of details to explain on what went on in interesting ways. The tools mentioned in the Jump Start were Construct2, Game Maker and Unity 3D. Of course, Unity 3D is probably the most difficult to use as there may be involvement of the 3D graphics and the coding in addition to various useful features which also add to the difficulty as well. From the presentations, there are links to various sources where you can gather the resources/assets from such as the music, sounds, graphics, voices and so on. For Construct 2 and Game Maker Studio, there are already newer features compared to their previous versions. The official opinion stated that the Construct 2 is less difficult than Game Maker to use for game creation. Lastly, there's even the opportunity to publish the games made with one of those tools to the Windows Store but that requires the amount of steps and you may need newer technical knowledge of new technologies as Windows 8 technology contains a number of newer technological features we don't know of in the first place compared to the previous OSes. It's important to know the new technology as things are changing and especially when we take newer Microsoft certified courses at MVA.

Other tools mentioned were Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, Inkscape, GIMP and Paint.NET. Of course, the most superior one is the Adobe products but they can be bitches to find and buy so you're better off with the alternatives like GIMP, Inkscape, etc.

For music, I already have the tools like FL Studio and Noteworthy Composer where each stuff is made in both MIDI and MP3 but I don't know when will I post these MIDI files I made with Noteworthy Composer straigtht to vgmusic.com as this may mark a future opportunity as a gamer to post those arranges there. Of course, that website seems to be westernized so I have to follow that style and especially for the 16-Bit arranges I made and posted on YouTube. Note that not all 16-Bit arranges are credited as I fear that TheEightBit will not accept those Japanese like contents I contributed with that soundfont. But enough of these personal stuffs here. For actuality, I already used certain arranges for Game Maker as well, leaving the sound effects to be un-original as I took those sounds from various sources and provided the credits all along. Lastly, before this Jump Start existed, I already have the experience in using Game Maker but it seems that my works using that tool already turned out to be the project catastrophes like things not working well no matter how many improvements and changes I put in and especially when certain parts looked impossible to clear. Not to mention, the over-execution of the contents that caused other bugs on us as well.

Some European countries will have Xbox One next year

Well, be glad about this as there is some software issue or something for Xbox One that it will be released next year in some European countries instead of this year. That may indicate some extra freedom for them although it may have been better for me to keep on blogging about the PS4 and its games instead of this controversy that tries to go against the internet freedom for gamers. We still have some time until this console is starting to be released in that may or may not mark the complete end of the internet freedom for gamers globally as if the spying with the Kinect is pretty much everywhere so keep a look out for the release date for this console.

Ginga Force obtained!

Damn, what a difficult game I had after buying it yesterday! Perhaps the weapons you have from the beginning are not quite useful/powerful enough for survival.
The improvements in the gameplay are that you can fire both the main weapon and sub weapon at the same time although the downside is that you can't use them and the special weapon at the same time. However, if you have the option shot, you can use both the sub weapon and the special weapon at the same time which can be handy enough for Chapter 4 although you need to be careful in some parts of the chapter where the enemy missiles will be fired while the giant enemy battleship moves left and right with the middle weapon firing lots of bullets downwards. That part is where you may need both the option shot and the special weapon at the same time. But if you do have the Slow weapon, you can use all three weapons at the same time but the downside is that you need to be extra careful in dodging stuffs while slowing down the time.
Other flaws involve the inaccurate graphical improvements compared to Eschatos. While the background graphics are looking even better as required for 4:3 vertical shooter in HD form, it cannot be the same for the palette of the textures, the amount of polygons applied as well as the recycled effects from the previous game. The explosions could have been even larger than the enemy size itself and the developers should have used the newer explosion sprites instead of the ones from the previous game to look even better. Another problem is the lack of boss destruction. It is fine in first several chapters where the criminals in this game should be caught but we may expect to see such epic looking boss destruction scene for Chapters 9 and 10. Lastly, the opening. Why is that made out of in-game stuffs? Can't the developers collaborate with some 2D animation studio to do the advanced work on the opening like Treasure, Konami and Warashi did? If someone at Nico Nico Douga is to do his own version, I may expect the whole opening to be in complete anime form although it may be difficult to do so.

Games for Windows Live to be shutdown July next year

Haaahaaahaaa, I bet that most PC gamers are likely to be using Steam instead of Gamers For Windows Live. Shame on the freaking Sign-In feature for refusing to work on me the other time that but at least, we all prefer Steam than Games for Windows Live. Speaking of Steam games, we can find certain hardcore PC gamers to play as well as some indie and localized Japanese games that are available for Steam. The first game and reason for using Steam of mine would be Audiosurf and that seemed to be quite fun until I stumbled upon the true arcade-style rhythm games by then for a real challenge.

Speaking of Games for Windows Live, you can use your existing Xbox Live account to play games on that service but now, it looks like even Windows 8 and Windows Phone are using the Xbox Live service as it is popular today. Not to mention that even the Zune services were all completely discontinued in favor of Xbox Live but what the extra negative to Windows Media Player is that it doesn’t have the features that allow you to connect and synchronize your Windows Phone device to your computer in the same way the ITunes has.

Optionally, I can blog about the upcoming fighting games that will be coming in next year. For example, Ultra SFIV for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in which the PC version will be using Steam service instead but even then, my honesty is that I suck at this game genre but going back to previous game genres I have been playing is not an option if I want to be a great arcade player one day.

Renew Orb–Spying Technology Halted

The people living in London are glad to see this official good news from the company stating that the company has decided to halt this kind of program after knowing the public outcry about this controversy. Even better is that the company has decided to collaborate with EFF to respect the privacy of the people living in London. Bravos to whatever that company is, they have admitted this sort of mistake but it cannot be the same for those on-going idiots who have broken the rules of privacy thousands of times every year, that is, the ones who have been spying on the Americans, of course.

Renew Orb basically is the recycle bin mixed with technology but the spying on people’s privacy is a huge controversial downside and we’re glad to see this technology halted. Well, there can be a recycle bin mixed with technology, telling you on which types of stuffs can be recycled and especially when the recycle bin can display some message on the screen saying that it is full and it needs to be emptied. At least, this kind of recycle bin can be handy and the networking connectivity is completely unnecessary.

Countdown to support end for Windows XP

I bet that I forgot to blog about the support ending for Windows XP that will be happening in April 8 next year. Back then, the operating system was seriously infected with the worms, spywares and other virus attacks. They were quite strong back then that they had infected millions of computers and SP1 of the OS wasn’t quite enough. With SP2, the security might have improved but that was not enough as you can see in the chart below.

It appeared that Windows XP SP2 might have more infections than SP3 but it seemed that SP3 added even more technologies and securities. Unfortunately, starting next year, there will be the zero-day exploit like forever for Windows XP meaning to say that it will forever be flawed that your computer will likely to be affected unless you’re running the active Windows OSes. For Windows Vista and above, the security and technologies are quite better as seen in the chart above.

Today, with Windows 8’s Windows Defender or Microsoft Security Essentials, there is the real-time malware protection that protects your computer in real-time but of course, speaking of real-time protection from viruses and malwares, you’re better off with the superior third-party software. Also, the UEFI Secure Boot is the new feature in Windows 8 that helps prevent unauthorized OSes or firmware from running at boot time by maintaining databases of software signers and software images that are pre-approved to run on the computer. Lastly, the Trusted Boot feature in Windows 8 includes an Early Launch AntiMalware that enables the antimalware software to start FIRST. Also, the Measured Boot feature allows the third-party software on a remote server to securely verify the security of every startup component in a way that will be very difficult for malware to forge. Anything being tampered with, Trusted Boot will repair the system by restoring original files.

Other features mentioned in http://blogs.technet.com/b/security/archive/2013/04/09/the-countdown-begins-support-for-windows-xp-ends-on-april-8-2014.aspx include UAC, Bitlocker, AppLocker, etc. but they may seem to be the existing security technologies that first came out for the previous OSes. Speaking of the link here, this is where the chart of Computers Cleaned Per Scan comes from. Lastly, after the support ends completely for Windows XP, there will be huge amount of vulnerabilities for that OS and it will have a high risk of infection for sure.

Bullet Soul Infinite Burst for Xbox 360 Announced

Finally, another shmup that will be released next year from 5PB! A few days ago, there was already the full version of Double Dealing Character and some spell cards from the last boss battle were like the shout-outs to playing Combatzeal or perhaps purposely changing screen orientation yourself in the middle of the game which may be something nobody does. In Combatzeal multi-player battle, activating the Rotate powerup from the Gradius-like powerup bar will of course rotate the other players' playing fields but the rotation can be reset by getting hit or activating Reset powerup. I don't know if the rotation is temporary or perhaps permanent. For those spell cards I'm talking about, they simply flip the screen vertically or horizontally which may be some tricks no other shmups have.
Speaking of what happened a few days ago, there was an announcement of Bullet Soul Infinite Burst and the PS Vita version of Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds at the Phantom Breaker related event. Graphically, there can also be the 3DS release of Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds due to how retro the graphical style is in addition to the Vita release but for Bullet Soul Infinite Burst, I don't know what the new elements are because in the original Bullet Soul, it's basically Star Soldier meeting Ketsui or something.
As this was the initial announcement from 5PB, we may have to wait until there are actual details on what the game looks like.

Lavabit and Slient Circle shut down their Email service

Okay, today’s the National Day in Singapore in which we can have a smoother celebration online and offline although the peaceful celebration couldn’t be the same for United States in July 4th last year. Lavabit and Slient Circle have closed down due to the on-going spying program from the US government. Interesting thing about Lavabit is that Edward Snowden happens to be one of the users of this email service but to us, the non-US citizens, we don’t even know what Lavabit and Slient Circle are all about until we have discovered the news about it.

For Slient Circle, they have their official blog post stating their reasons for shutting down after discovering that Lavabit is doing the same thing as seen at http://silentcircle.wordpress.com/2013/08/09/to-our-customers/. It’s interesting that both Lavabit and Slient Circle are made in the US in addition to other companies I knew of from my childhood like CompuServe and AOL, etc. Of course, I’ve been using AOL to receive emails ever since two years ago upon seeing the stupid rumors regarding the reasonless social networking shutdown. Maybe I SHOULDN’T HAVE BELIEVED those useless rumors all along!

Now, who else eventually cares for the spies and the program leaker by then? But what we care is the important activities we should do as well as to enjoy the national celebration or perhaps the national birthday like I should have a nice August 9th. So celebrate your independence, NOT TO FOLLOW OR CONTRIBUTE TO shitty policies, laws and rules.

Megatex again

Not really much to say about this IT show that took place in August 1st until today but it seems that the same companies are showing their new products. There may be earpieces with the bass support but there are those without the bass that you may need to find some software as the work around for enabling the basses. Also, you get to see the 2 in 1 input device from Rangers company that has the remote control on one side and the mini computer keyboard on the other side. It may be cool enough if this is kind of true but I could have gone out to visit this IT show yesterday instead of today to see even more cool stuffs. Headphones on the other hand, you have to use the headphone that is loud enough for both multimedia and gaming purposes because no one wants to wear the headphone that is freaking soft and whose design is posing a challenge in wearing it.

Unfortunately, while Megatex is supposed to be the IT show event, there are appliances that are not IT related such as the beds, kitchen accessories as well as other home appliances. If those kitchen accessories have the technological stuffs such as the microcontroller stuff which we can instruct them on what to do in a cool technical way, then there will be a reason to explore them. For those things, we surely expect a mini screen along with the buttons to press with similar to what the 2 in 1 photocopying devices are.

Lastly, there are even Samsung media players with the wireless bluetooth support where you can use your IOS device for instance to tune in to music or video wirelessly. They may be great in addition to inserting some disc but the main purpose of those media players is obviously the wireless bluetooth playback.

A-Tech Rain Dance Speaker Obtained!

As seen from some IT show the last time at Singapore Expo, I eventually bought this speaker for $39.90 yesterday. This set I bought features dual speakers for some reason which added some challenge on hooking things up correctly. Of course, this is one of those cool things you can use when listening to music and comes with the Stereo Plug where you can get direct audio capture from whichever device to your computer. Of course, one end of that cable leads to the headphone jack of whichever device and the other end leads to the microphone jack of your computer if that’s what I mean correctly.

Now that I have this speaker, I should be able to redo my video capture of Xevious 3D/G+.

Megpoid Stereo Earphones Obtained!

Days ago, after buying a PSN card for buying Xevious 3D/G+ from the PSN Store, I stumbled across this interesting geek related accessory. Well, the title pretty much says it all and after buying this, I was told that not all things could be imported from Japan and this earphone is one of those Made-In-Japan products. There was another earphone with Lily, another Vocaloid character but I guess that I’ll stick on to the most known Vocaloid characters anyway.

Inside the package, there are two additional orange stuffs to be placed on the earphone in case you end up losing the current ones. I don’t know what are these called although the shopkeeper surely had mentioned that name. Also, the nice thing was the coloration as well as the Chibi Gumi thingy that was for balancing or something.

Xevious 3D/G+ Obtained!

What's exclusive in this compilation is that Xevious Arrangement and 3D/G have the arrange soundtrack in addition to the original. However, the FMV videos are likely to be different than the arcade version of Xevious 3D/G although I don't know what's with the ending, like shooting at the giant ancient symbol on the sandy ground to summon the beam that wipes out the enemy fortress in space. Maybe this ending is what STH4E2 ending should have been in the first place like getting out of the Death Egg II and returning back to the planetary surface and if you have all the emeralds collected, you can use them to wipe that out.
Unfortunately, the PS1 version of Xevious 3D/G has even more flaws than ever. It has lack of graphical and environmental details as well as the blocky looking polygons compared to the arcade version. Also, the effects are mostly polygonal like there's no signs of sprites being used in the game. Also, when I played Xevious 3D/G on my Playstation Vita, there was a huge amount of lag in Area 3 when going through those rotating ring shaped wooden stuffs where there are still ground enemies to take out.
I may be glad to see this having come out in the PSN Store for Playstation Vita. Also, thankfully, there's auto-firing for easier playing. Video captures of the gameplay with arrangement soundtrack will be on my YouTube account soon after this blog post.

Project Diva F 2nd next year

It may be months since my blogging about the upcoming video games but I may believe that my work of last year is still not yet finished. It seemed that I might have already finished most of the arranges ranging from Bemani games to other games but things are not over with the on-going Floor Infection events from Sound Voltex II. With the Floor Infection, it enables me to make a smooth arrangement of the Sound Voltex I songs without encountering those silly sound effects that come from that game. Next time, there will be an arrangement of Daniwell’s Butterfly-Cat but in the meantime, you can view the recent SDVX arrangement on my YouTube account.

Now, here comes the proper part. Sega is announcing Project Diva F 2nd on Playstation 3 and Vita next year! Two of the songs are existing ones and I don’t know how the upgrades are like since we don’t know what’s new in Project Diva F 2nd. There may be more songs exclusive to that game and at the time I’m blogging, I just knew one of the newer Vocaloid songs out there will be in Project Diva F 2nd. Other rhythm games for that song, I don’t know as I think that it is not in those games at all. Sure, the popular Vocaloid songs had also made it to Groove Coaster, Taiko No Tatsujin and Konami rhythm games in addition to today’s Sega rhythm games but the atrocious thing about Konami rhythm games that will piss the Vocaloid and Bemani fans off is what had Konami done with LLNF for Future Tom Tom. WHAT IS THAT COVER, IT’S BULLSHIT compared to the original? That’s right, the same controversial mistake ever since the release of the original Sound Voltex is here this year, damn it but at least the controversy isn’t as big as the one last year. I don’t know how Melt sounds like in Future Tom Tom but those were all the videos I found in Nico Nico Douga.

OK, it may seem like it’s too early for Project Diva series to evolve again after the last year’s release of Project Diva F so its sequel is on the same multi-platforms again. It’s probably due to Sega not owning the Playstation 4 development kit so that they can make future Project Diva games on Playstation 4 in addition to Playstation Vita. Also, I may be sorry about some Konami rhythm gaming X Vocaloid ranting but that’s what happens Konami screws up again but putting in the Vocaloid powered songs in the wrong way ever since the original Sound Voltex but this year, it may look like Sega is gonna be pissed off over Konami’s wrong way of putting Vocaloid songs in their newer rhythm games, that is, if someone from Sega goes to the arcade and finds the Vocaloid song being played using shitty cover, it will be like he can blame Konami for putting those songs in a wrong way.

Aaron’s Law introduced

For this blog post, I probably care for fixing the worst parts of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act which are said to criminalize all sorts of mundane Internet use. One part that is really the worst is that you may be forced to surrender your Facebook password to your company if you’re working in the US company as if you may be landing yourself in prison for that but then, we might have already thwarted the CIS** bill the last time. Can this new law repair the shit out of CFAA?

Playstation E3 Press Conference Live Broadcast

Wow, that was a great event viewed online and BEST OF ALL, Sony has done it RIGHT with the Playstation 4! Ok, so here were the followings from that event:

  • Gaming freedom – You can borrow your friends’ games from his collection to play on your own PS4 without being charged or any stupid restriction whatsoever. You can even play games while they are partially downloaded and installed and that’s kind of fast. Also, there’s no way the console has some sort of governmental power against you so that there’s a reason for you to buy it. Finally, the backwards compatibility is here but it’s under cloud gaming that you have to wait until next year.
  • Indie Game Support – I believe that those games will be available for PS3, PS4 and Vita so there’s not much to say other than those games looking quite interesting.
  • Gaikai – In addition to PS Plus, PSN, there will be Gaikai cloud gaming that allows games to be streamed to the PS4 and the PS Vita. I don’t know if PS3 games will be streamed to the PS Vita but then games on that console can be gigantic compared to PS Vita games. Also, will there be PS1 and PS2 games available for Gaikai as well that will be played on PS4?
  • Cross-Platform Playing – The PS4-Vita and PS3-Vita are already the great ways of remote-playing but PS4-Tablet or PS4-Smartphone, well, how the hell can that work for specific games? You think that the Smartglass like idea is kind of ideal, huh? At least, the Wii U tablet-like device is the combination of the game controller and the tablet that it is already that ideal enough to play and especially for the PS Vita which is also neat as mainly a game console for gaming purposes first.
  • Music, TV, Videos – Uhh, WTF? Those contents look very western like by the way and I DON’T WATCH MOVIES, okay.
  • Apps – You can share your gameplay videos as well as to post certain things about what’s going on in video games to the popular SNS sites.
  • GUI – Looks kind of better than Metro UI, I guess as if things are visually making sense.

And that’s basically the greatness of this console that puts the Xbox One to complete shame. Well, that Xbox One is like the next CIS** by the way because not only it spies on the US gamers, but also the gamers around the globe so buy PS4 or Wii U at all costs if you want the freedom and gaming fairness as I already mentioned at the beginning of the list.
