Thieves pretended to be particular YouTubers and gangs broke into a truck over Playstation 5

Man, the scalping saga is likely to continue on and it sort of does according to the more recent videos about product scalping cases from ReviewtechUSA. It's one scummy business practice that still needs to be dealt with and taken for a crime. And about the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles that cost more than their own original and genuine prices on online stores, it may seem that the scalpers had already earned like a huge amount of money from such scamming actions of theirs. It's basically like a scam and the you may end up getting something else than whatever you've wanted so you need to be careful about buying online as a customer. Who knows what the said scammers are going to do with that amount of money they've got from those illegal online sales?

And to involve YouTubers by impersonation for this same scummy practice is going to make them look bad once they and their viewers find out about it. In fact, it's not even just YouTubers any scalper can pretend to be when it comes to selling products like the Playstation 5, Xbox Series X and even the recent NVIDIA graphics cards for Windows computers. Such products I just mentioned are really expensive but the hardcore-level NVIDIA graphics cards are serious show off of technical power. Such pretense from the scalper can draw negative attention and especially when they pretend to be whatever celebrity or superstar for the same nefarious purposes.

8-Bit Eric and viewers were more or less pissed when it happened but should piss you off more is that the scalpers removed and re-created their accounts to continue the same shady practice. Another problem is that the impersonation account of a YouTuber may have more or less momentum like the number of subscribers than the genuine one but the email account is something the companies may need to carefully determine to see if that email account truly belongs to that YouTuber or not.

From 8-Bit Eric's channel, there's a video of him telling you that he's not selling anything online and warns you that if there's an account that uses his name, a photo of him or both on those online store sites like Offerup, Craigslist, you name it. This kind of trolling as done by the scammer that was caught by 8-Bit Eric isn't anything funny. It didn't seem like an easy challenge for 8-Bit Eric as if the scammer/scalper could try to make misclaims that the genuine person that was 8-Bit Eric was impersonating the scalper when IT WAS ACTUALLY THE OPPOSITE which meant the scammer impersonating 8-Bit Eric, not the other way around. At the end of the video, 8-Bit Eric issued the viewers the stern warning against those scalpers who try to set him up as a scammer. Legal actions against scalpers won't be an easy feat for him as I guess a lawsuit from him against them may be quite costly.

Another different case involved some gangs breaking into a fast-moving truck to steal the Playstation 5 consoles out of it via a stunt. It's like something you'll see in an action movie like Fast and Furious series. I don't know if that kind of movie may cause bad influence or not but such stunts like that because of high demand are total criminal acts. There are various mature AAA games that offer multiple choices in which you can choose to do good things in those games as one of the choices and that is what you should go for. When you do good things in those games, the player character you're playing as eventually gets trusted like the reputation is currently in a good state. But to emulate a character doing a bunch of bad things like some kid driving away his parent's car without a license could cause a news like that to exist permanently.

Patience is a great key when it comes to buying a product online and what those gangs did to get the Playstation 5 console from inside the truck was a desperate act. Sure, a modern electronic device can be considered locked that there's no way to use it should it get stolen or something but that won't stop scalpers from doing such scummy practice as a bricked or stolen console can be a bigger advantage for them. Those who drive the fast-moving trucks should be aware of such acts and there should be some protection feature for the doors at the back of those trucks.

A bill in US that makes streaming copyrighted materials a felony

Man, as if the DMCA strikes targeting streams on Twitch over in-game background music or sound effects weren't disastrous enough, there's an upcoming bill in the US that makes streaming copyrighted material a felony which can spell a serious trouble for streamers and I get a feeling that this applies to other sites as well that offer the streaming feature.

Many games make use of professional sound effects although it seems that professional game developers may have to make such investments for professional use. I don't know if this seems ridiculous or not for Twitch to issue DMCA strikes over sound effects in games but to streamers, this seems unacceptable. Licensed music may seem like a different story as streamers don't have the rights to use it in their own gaming stream or something. I guess that permissions are needed for making a professional stream with such music included and that's the case with many professional Virtual YouTubers who are part of whatever company that specializes in content creation. Of course, those companies have the responsibility to obtain permission from game developers so that the professional content creators have the rights to make a stream like that. What about the professional YouTubers then? Do they need a similar permission as well?

One risky workaround will be to swap some sound effects with a mod but I suppose that's not the point. One of the AAA games, Cyberpunk 2077, has a Streamer Mode option in which you can make a stream of the game safely without involving licensed music. Unfortunately, the same option also reduces whatever that seems inappropriate to Twitch website when turned on so it draws mixed opinions from gaming streamers.

Also, when it comes to making a livestream of licensed console games using the console's streaming tool that comes with it, there's a chance that something like Streamer Mode is already there as part of the tool as if games like Cyberpunk 2077 will need to corporate with that tool or something in which turning on Streamer Mode unlocks access to that tool. It's a safer but questionable way. What's more questionable is the licensed rhythm games on consoles in which when people see the archived stream videos done using the console's livestream tool, the licensed music is completely absent. It's ridiculous to blame the developers or console manufacturers when that happens. It's also questionable to get around such absence by using some other streaming tool.

To the content creators like ReviewtechUSA, the upcoming bill like that is comparable to the SO** bill way back in 2011 when it was heavily opposed that it was scrapped. Electronic Frontier Foundation, Fight For The Future, Access Now, etc. are already concerned about the Felony Streaming bill like it can be a disaster for the streamers' future if passed.

Optie Animation's Mope Mope video - "Not made for kids" option reinstated

In June 2, the video was set to "Not made for kids" as if that option was restored after news about the video being falsely set to "Made for kids" by YouTube occurred. Since that false choice made by YouTube last month, the kids were like exposed to such a video like Mope Mope by Optie Animation which is inappropriate for them in the first place according to the official video description. By falsely setting that video to "Made for kids", they sort of dragged Optie into the trouble he didn't intend to land on. The trouble that would affect his YouTube channel for challenging the COPPA law when the video DIDN'T.
Well, the controversy was more or less solved like there's not much to say about in the second part of the blog article about that controversy. The video itself was quite traumatic to children, people can assure of you and the controversy was there for 2 weeks before it was solved.

Optie Animation's Mope Mope video falsely set to "Made for Kids" by YouTube

What the hell? One of Optie's mature music videos was falsely set to "Made for Kids" because of the visual appeal of the first half? Man, talk about the greedy game of discipline and strictness where the videos are mis-set depending on the content which can be a disaster on the machine learning part. The videos of the family-friendly games are nothing to worry about even if they are set to "Made for Kids" by YouTube but in the case of the videos of the non-family-friendly games like the ones made for teenagers or even the mature ones which are for adults, that may be a different story.
The song, Mope Mope, had made the official appearance in the actual rhythm games on consoles, arcades and even mobile and their music video doesn't seem to be used whatsoever. However, in case of the music video on Optie Animation's official YouTube channel, that is what the kids should NOT view as it contains the scary portions at the second half. Other songs have more mature settings such as Marenol by LeaF, the same composer who composed Mope Mope. For that song, its music video is extremely inappropriate for children but it's not like YouTube will do something about that music video either.
As the music video of Mope Mope was falsely set to "Made for Kids" by YouTube, Optie had the plans to review the decision set by them and even LeaF was aware of the situation that happened a few days ago. Where's the research? HAD THOSE AT YOUTUBE EVEN VIEWED THE ENTIRE MUSIC VIDEO? OR DID THEY NOT READ OR REGARD THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION? To let children watch that music video is like giving them nightmares thanks to false disciplinary actions done on that target audience setting!
iMJaystation has been making video contents that are not inappropriate for children even though his target audience is children all along and he had been called out for challenging the updated YouTube COPPA policies but for Optie Animation's official YouTube channel, the target audience is like to be those who play rhythm games and especially the nerds if you will.

iMJaystation's apologies are for naught?

I thought that we eventually moved on after actions were already taken against iMJaystation like channel demonetization and he apologized and took down various videos of his controversial stunts but it turned that he's still active on another YouTube channel which is Dream Team channel that is handled by him and his girlfriend. So, was this consequence evasion in which he would do the same controversial shit on that channel that the apology was all for naught? What in the world was he thinking? Couldn't YouTube do something to him for circumventing the consequences he was given after he was called out a few months ago? It's basically a challenge to this year's rules and consequences out of his bad attitude towards them.
OK, he may not be the only scum I had seen out there who tried to evade cyber-consequences like his main channel demonetized for instance. I had seen the others who tried to evade account blocks and terminations on social media in which they continued to talk useless shit to the ones who tried to call them out via sock-puppet accounts. Some of the sock-puppet accounts are like presenting them differently as if they pretend that they are someone else but the Dream Team channel is like a different example on how iMJaystation evaded the consequences thrown at him.
The actions taken against him by YouTube sort of delayed his plans to cause a big disaster towards many content creators by coming up with the bullshit that enabled him to challenge the revised YouTube COPPA policies. His target audience is likely to be children but his contents are obviously not appropriate for them and that problem he caused had already come back.
It's like he got scolded but he still continued doing such bullshit as if the major scolding wasn't anything for him. Also, due to the on-going pandemic, there have been lesser staffs working on the YouTube service than before and according to some official concerning warning, there may be technical mistakes on the machine learning stuff in which your videos may be falsely affected.

iMJaystation controversy update

There have been tons of new things to blog about in the second part and of course, people want iMJaystation banned off YouTube for his on-going shaddy actions that have gone to an all new low like faking his girlfriend's death for negative attention and money as well as his viewers who are mostly children watching his videos that don't seem inappropriate for them in the first place like the contents that contain dark web, taking advantage of celebrity's deaths, and even inspiring other future-ending scums to come up with the videos similar to his that take advantage of the basketball player's passing like a video about trying to revive that basketball player or something. Of course, the dark web, the workarounds against the updated COPPA rules as well as the children being your main audience are sufficient to land you in trouble should you make a video as inspired by iMJaystation for negative attention. There are other shaddy things going on below besides all that shit above mentioned here:

• iMJaystation's girlfriend's videos being taken down via false copyright strikes by him and then reposted on his own channel.
• Evidences by SomeOrdinaryGamers are confirmed that the accident involving iMJaystation's girlfriend didn't happen, meaning that she's not hit by a drunk driver all along as SomeOrdinaryGamers made a clarification with the police officer via a phone call about that accident.
• There was a break-in to iMJaystation's house by someone posing as a police officer who wanted iMJaystation arrested for assault. I don't know if the assault really happened or not but to impersonate a police officer is already illegal in the first place. How to know that that person is a police officer impersonator? From some tweets, something is off about the uniform he's wearing.
• iMJaystation's difficult childhood, past imprisonment and lack of education might have posed him a serious difficulty in getting an actual job.
• Telling the previous girlfriend of iMJaystation to quit school and dance in favor of doing YouTuber stuff which is outright rude and disrespectful in my opinion. You DON'T DROP OUT OF SCHOOL LIKE THAT in favor of whatever ambition you want to start. I may recommend that you graduate from school with a Diploma or Degree although the Degree is the most recommended level that opens doors to more jobs you can find and then start your goddamn career ambition like you want to be a professional sports player for instance. Is that the future you want that person related you to go through?
• To report iMJaystation's videos for whatever legitimate reasons you have will be to get yourself attacked by his white knights for that. Of course, there's someone who wants him reported because his music is stolen and passed off as iMJaystation's.

There will be additional things to collect in the evidence inventory but for now, there are other things to report here like having signed the petitions against iMJaystation and of course, his Twitter account already suspended. Why can't YouTube suspend his channel like it's beyond me?

iMJaystation Controversy

It's already the first month of the new year and there are tons of big outside situations going on like it's a un-smooth start of the year and especially that the COPPA already started kicking in starting the first day of this month. What's probably scummy is how iMJaystation posts videos and gets around the revised COPPA law. Below is the list of scummy actions he had done:

• His videos are most likely aimed at kids or so although certain videos had gone quite far with Dark Web stuff.
• The equipment and acting are sort of obvious with videos that do kid-manipulation at their end.
• I don't know if those things from Dark Web were actually purchased for the videos or not.
• Monetization of videos that are aimed at kids and especially for the obvious video thumbnails and titles as workarounds against the revised COPPA law.
• ImJaystation faking death of his girlfriend or maybe falsely thinking that his girlfriend was dead or some sort?

There may be more scummy things iMJaystation had done that the list above may be incomplete and to come up with such workarounds against the revised COPPA rules by putting a bunch of inappropriate things as video borders or inappropriate video thumbnails on the kid-friendly video for instance are definitely wrong for sure. It's like he's challenging the revised COPPA rules for YouTube so you don't have to that the machine learning thing will think that his videos are not appropriate for kids because of such workarounds. Don't even think of coming up with the workarounds as he does for your own videos yourself. If your video is supposed to be family-friendly as you plan it to be, then make it family-friendly and set it as Not Made for Kids. Shame that we've been full of false worries even until the present time.
If the COPPA rules for YouTube taking effect at the month's start weren't enough to get the YouTubers who make money off their videos concerned, the scummy actions of imJaystation should. The worse case scenario is that we may be the ones punished instead of that scumbag under those rules or whatnot and he can get away with those scummy videos of his like a millionaire-to-be out of a crime movie.
Right now, iMJaystation has been called out on the internet but I don't know if he's going to realize his actions or not. SomeOrdinaryGamers has been making and posting videos about him but I expect the impact of calling out iMJaystation to be bigger than ever. Also, the Dark Web to me is one big reason iMJaystation should be called out as that kind of web is notorious in many ways. It's used by cyber-criminals and they use the privacy protection tools as nefarious excuses to access the dark web undetected and un-tracked.
Since iMJaystation's videos are like aimed for kids or something, there's a chance that kids will take time to realize his nefarious actions by the time they grow up or so.
For videos that are set to "Made for Kids", there will be lesser options than ever even before the revised COPPA rules for YouTube took effect on the beginning of this month. The flaw is that you can still share such videos like that on social media by copying the address of them and then including them in your social media post. I don't know if that goes against the rules or something and especially that even schools use those videos for educational purposes.

YouTuber Potato Chips

What were they thinking when involving YouTubers in Japan at that time including the virtual ones? Normally, you won't too much of junk food as it can be a hazardous practice to your health. Not to mention that you sometimes buy such snacks for the family or something that you will get some free time to eat after lunch or dinner as if those snacks don't even count as real food. However, to spend a huge amount of money on the same product that has different cards inside is basically paid loot-box and health risk together. Not even resturants, cafeterias or coffee shops sell food products containing such stuffs representing YouTubers as part of them.
Of course, trading cards with levels of rarity don't mean anything to me since I'm not into trading card games and I don't know if this is the same example in buying the potato chip product containing such cards once. It should be like that, just buy that product once and consume it like it's free time or something and you'll be fine. However, what's not fine was the encouragement-type manipulation coming from famous YouTubers' videos. They had their videos displaying, promoting and trying such products in action. Not to mention that they invested in a large quantity of the same product as each copy has different cards inside.
What's even more wrong about this campaign was that many things were really difficult to replicate for Virtual YouTubers in terms of technology. The potato chip product isn't torn open and to put in tons of virtual chips inside can be tough and hardware resource consuming and it doesn't look like there are videos of Virtual YouTubers eating or drinking something realistically. Perhaps, it's best not to come up with the eating/drinking videos at all. What about the product unboxing animation? Can anyone produce that? Is it that difficult to do it without taking up so much hardware resource? I guess that I expected live streams from Virtual YouTubers too soon like many of them start their channels with live streams in 2D character form with the 3D one being more difficult and time-consuming to make. Lastly, the way the Virtual YouTubers cleaned up all that mess after that campaign was that the staffs vanished everything on the ground as part of the live stream. It's not like they can be seen cleaning up the mess themselves.

Entering new year

For whatever reason, I've been feeling sort of gloomy over whatever happens recently at the beginning of the new year like the revised laws, rules and policies taking effect starting the first day of the year like the revised COPPA law for YouTube for instance in which so far as of this time of blog article writing, things still have yet to be affected for my YouTube channel although I already knew the recent update about the COPPA thing all along.
It may turn out that you do not need to set your family-friendly videos like the videos of the ESRB E-rated games to "Made for Kids" as family-friendly stuff may probably mean that it is made for everyone of all ages.  For ESRB T-rated games, that may be a different story as not all games have the teenagers as minimum target audience as if those games are CERO B of PEGI 12 rated elsewhere. I sort of have a bunch of videos of those games like that that they're probably not kids-friendly or some sort. So, before we reached the brand new year, I made a large maintenance of my channel in which I took down many of those videos and set the others as "Made for Kids" when there wasn't a need for that as it turns out. However, for future uploads, the videos uploaded will be set as "Not Made for Kids" by default.
Next thing to start a new year comes from the Mikado Game Center in which there has to be a playthrough video of the arcade version of Gradius on the first day. Sure, the machine may be super-old and they had some difficulties in starting it up successfully but at least, they went through the technical trouble to kick start the new year.
Then there comes a different problem plaguing various Virtual YouTubers, probably the ones from Hololive and even Entum. For Entum, it was pretty much over on the last day of last year. Some of the Virtual YouTubers still continue on even without Entum but the rest were like out of the job or some sort. For Hololive Virtual YouTubers, certain videos were demonetized for reasons unknown but I can guess it might have something to do with updated Harassment Policy or something else. It may be risky to cuss with profane words on your YouTube videos but I digress. For them, it can be a problem since Virtual YouTuber falls under a professional type of a job which requires a fictional character to be made and animated, voice acting talent as well as the professional technology needed to run the show.

What have I been working on?

Last year, I had made Blazing Mobian Masters, the S***c derivative game ever since a few years ago and made it available for download from my blog although there should be a better site than a blog like this and even then, it will continue to be updated in the future through "Deconstruction" stuff. I even declared to have exited the S***c fandom although the "Deconstruction" stuff continues on and it might be why you can still see additional mashup remix of the songs from the S***c games on both my YouTube channel and Soundcloud account even today. Note that those remixes I did are NOT NATIVE SUPPORT MATERIALS for the S***c franchise.
Other recent things I worked on included the prototype DJ logo and of course, the MMD animations which I made one available to view on my blog under Miscellaneous Arrangements page before this month. Note that I do not condone anything disturbing or indecent and especially for indecent things you claim to be fan service or some shit. There were discoveries I didn't like such as the M1 Fringe Festival 2017, N**aku console, some Steam game like R**e Days which was taken down before release and of course, the advertising billboard for some adult PC game displayed in Akibahara. I won't support such indecent shit like that and you should know better.

There will be tons of great stuffs coming in this year although there's no guarantee on how smooth we can go through it

Updated YouTube Harassment Policy

Obviously, making a video or comment that discriminates a person, group or organization may result in a decrease of the karma as that kind of action is really bad. For the recent update from YouTube, making videos or comments that discriminate a person, group or organization based on race, gender, religion, etc. may result in actions taken against you for violating this updated policy. Video removal or even worse, channel termination as a result of this consequence can be punishing. Oh, criticisms are still welcome in the videos and comments as long as they sound professional though.
There were already recent cases of channel termination of some of the YouTubers over the Leafy Content Cop thing after the updated policy took effect recently. I don't know the proper reason for that happening but from some official tweets coming from YouTube themselves, the humor/satire part seems to be questionable. You need to make that the video of yours about someone doesn't seem like a free pass to the harassment. Sure, you can make a gaming news video about the dirty game developers like you've prepared evidence and criticism against them which is some kind of stuff Sidalpha does. Of course, there were times when he got attacked by the greedy game developers as if they thought that he was trolling or cyber-attacking them with the videos of his instead of addressing the criticism thrown at them. There were even worse times that some of the YouTubers were sued by the greedy indie game developers like the famous time when Jim Sterling was sued by Digital Homicide at that time. So it looks like such incidents already happened to those YouTubers even before the recent update of the Harassment Policy on YouTube. But then again, those kinds of videos fell under YouTube Gaming news videos or something, talking about all sorts of gaming topics, ranging from upcoming games, controversies that already pissed people off as well as the concerns of unacceptable features.
There are other videos I had seen as well like the diss-track videos about various YouTubers or even the MAD videos which are sort of artistic as well. So what's bad about making MAD videos of someone famous in the first place? The only bad things are that when the MAD video you make is poorly done and/or contains something disturbing in some portion or the entirety of the video that is bound to turn me off like I already was by certain videos.
About troll comments thrown at your videos on YouTube, you can try to remove/flag them and even report and block the ones typing in such non-professional comments but the problem is that they will come back and do the same shit to you with different/sock-puppet accounts. Another problem is that private messaging section on YouTube in which even if you block and report the user annoying the hell out of you a lot with troll messages, they will continue on with sock-puppet accounts.
I don't know if the updated harassment policy is the right step in the direction or a controversial one. What if someone false-reports your videos for harassment under this updated policy for LOL or some sort? Will that anger you and the other viewers in which the online search for the culprit starts? This kind of shit isn't funny and the good viewers should know better seriously as making false-reports against someone on YouTube over harassment when their videos don't cause any harm whatsoever is totally wrong. And by the way, those making kids cry or rage online in the making of such gameplay videos of whatever game they play may need to think twice before making such videos due to the updated policy as I don't know if such actions may result in violation or not.
One big concern from people is that when YouTubers make such videos of themselves ranting about greedy game developers for instance, we don't know for sure if such videos will be falsely flagged and/or taken down or some sort as if YouTube isn't siding with us or something. But of course, criticism isn't equal to trolling or even hate-speech for sure. You should instead find solutions and strategies that will help you to address such criticisms and see if you can do any better.

FTC's COPPA with YouTube

Back in September, YouTube was fined for gathering information/data on kids videos which sort of violated Children's Online Privacy Protection Act or COPPA and as a result of the violation, they came up with a controversial strategy that will fine the content creators of $42,000 per video that is found to be in violation of that law. From this new strategy, you must figure out which video is kid-friendly and which one's not and if your channel has been on-going for a decade with hundreds/thousands of videos, it's going to be a challenge determining which. The thing is, most of my contents are not aimed towards kids whatsoever. I make them for teens or even adults although people my age are probably interested in viewing my stuff as proven by the demographics from my account. The viewers are mostly adults ranging from 18-34 years of age but even then, there's no way to tell if the kids have seen your videos or not in addition to teenagers and adults. Also, none of my videos are profitable as they are posted for entertainment.
If your channel is kids-friendly target audience-wise, you're going to be on the serious lookout for this change. I have a feeling that various Japanese YouTubers' channels are going to fall under that category. I don't know if this is the same for Japanese Virtual YouTubers as well but I guess that not all videos are probably kid-friendly in the first place. Some of the Japanese Virtual YouTubers won't be kid-friendly for sure as if they appeal to the nerds or some sort.
6 years ago, the COPPA was amended to expand the definition of "operators" to include content creators who publish content to ad-assisting platforms like YouTube although I don't know if this applies to other sites that are like YouTube as well like Nico Nico Douga or Bilibili for instance, or even social media websites as they have ads pasted somewhere. For six years, the enforcement didn't happen after the amendment. However, the notifications on YouTube website have been there even for content creators not from US. We have like until January next year before the actions against violating content creators will be taken. If the video is declared kid-friendly like it's Child-Directed via the check box, it won't be monetized and have personalized ads. Furthermore, comments will be disabled automatically like it already happened on such contents.
For gaming channels, it is self-explanatory to determine which game which kid-friendly or not that you may as well set the videos to match the ESRB ratings or something. Most of fighting games won't seem kid-friendly of course and the same goes for many AAA games, mostly TPS or FPS games but what about the games on mobile? Are there mobile games that don't seem kid-friendly from a closer look at the contents? I also do the unofficial music arrangement/remix stuff and I sort of know the game origins but do I probably need to set certain videos to be kid-friendly like that?

YouTube Partnership Program update

A month ago or something, one of the YouTubers had the guts to make a video vow to cause the violent trouble at YouTube headquarters over the new YouTube Partnership Program that affected many of the small channels including mine. Her videos were de-monetized as part of the change and that angered her into accusing YouTube of censorship or something. It's a wrong way to demand the people behind the change to make a bunch of explanations. Even if they explain something, they still feel threatened. The incident involved the female suspect who was confirmed dead from self-inflicted wound after having opened fire at the YouTube headquarters.
Sure, people didn't like the change that YouTube planned a few months ago but it doesn't mean someone can go there and cause trouble like that. It also doesn't mean that someone can make a bunch of online threats like that as they and their actions can be tracked upon the victims finding out the vows of threats made on the net. In fact, there was a similar but non-violent case that occurred 4 years ago in which a suspect was arrested for having damaged the shop property which was the game display and pepper-sprayed the employee of Gamestop over unacceptable change of the core portion of some parts of the product franchise. However, such topic like that can be saved for the next article as there are tons of things about him. Perhaps, this is due to the high-profile scandals YouTube would eventually go stricter than before.

New YouTube Partner Program controversy

This is one big concern in hundreds of words to the people as YouTube is coming up with a stricter policy that will be effective next month. What you should worry about is the channels that will no longer be involved in monetization and the small YouTube channels are already losing momentum as if people have lost interest in their videos or some kind. It may sound like YouTube is ruining small channels like they no longer care for them because their contents are less interesting or whatnot but it seems that YouTube seems to care for actual professional YouTubers out there who can monetize their stuffs without screwing up their channels. But before this policy is to take place, the most important thing in doing things as a professional YouTuber is that everything in your videos must be in the legal/light zone so that it's safe to monetize them without worries of trouble. However, one dark example is that someone monetizes the videos they've stolen from other accounts or maybe the videos containing something in the grey zone. What an illegal way and I can imagine consequences worse than account termination.
In the past, a lifetime of 10000 views is required in addition to 1000 subscribers to be part of the YouTube Partner Program but then that amount is like too small and my channel has like 400000+ total video views or some kind although I have like 200+ subscribers. However, I have no main goals in pushing these amounts even quicker in the future as showing off something no one else has shown is the first reason why I started my YouTube channel in the first place. Of course, there might be useless garbage I posted in the past but they were easy to take down or something as people probably expected me to do things right in the future so that they would be interested in my channel. However, this is going to change next month with 4000 hours of watch time in the past 12 months along with 1000 subscribers. For small channels like mine, you may be out of luck if you don't follow this new criteria but that's what it is to become big for real with tons of views per video as well as the growing amount of subscribers. A channel with sufficient amount of total video views although the amount of views per video is not that large may have a difficult chance of being a YouTube Partner. Things have changed quite alot although some of the features were more controversial.
What will happen is that you can still use various channel features but to go deeper will require verification and being a YouTube Partner. For Custom URL, Custom Thumbnail and Live Streaming, your channel must be verified and for Cards and End Screens, you will need to be a part of YPP in order to link things to the external source. Plus, this revamped program will be a new license in terms of video monetization. You need to be part of it if you want your videos monetized. A real change is that Super Chat and Sponsorship will be parts of YPP, not outside of it and besides, a sponsorship is not an easy thing to do for YouTube or other professional business.
Well, I might have seen tons of reaction videos and that was an impressive stuff but the thing is, they've taken the copyrighted content for their reaction videos and monetized them. I guess commerical-use rights or sponsorship must be required if you want a professional reaction to the stuff you see and it may be the same for product reviews and vlogs containing copyrighted contents.
Sure, you can tell me things about Fair-Use but those things above are at professional levels and your videos must be in the light/legalized zone if you want them monetized legally. Some alternatives in getting your channels supported may include Twitch, Patreon and even your merchandise but then, I don't know if the policies are changed there or not.
There are already concerns so far from people stating that they will be kicked out of the YPP program next month and it looks like they will need some help but then, they can try various alternatives to keep their career alive and kicking. Especially for musicians and DJs in which their public performances don't give them so much money in the end and it seems that they will need other ways to gain additional money for survival. If gaining tons of money is your first priority, then you don't deserve your advancement in your career for sure. You must have passion and ambition for whichever career you want.
Will small channels like mine be gone next month? I guess not. I can still continue posting my stuffs there although my channel is already on life support starting sometime last year. The amount of watch time in minutes and views is already decreasing but I guess that I already feared on what the retards at home had been up to against me as well as a bunch of accidental things I did in the past like 1-2 years ago. There's also a site in which someone can end up making one's own account and then verifying accounts that are not entire his/hers. I wonder if that is a flaw in the service or something but speaking of impersonating channels on YouTube, it may pose a challenge to indicate which one is genuine or not so that a genuine one can be truly verified. This may solve the confusion among the viewers and the impersonators may be sad or something with/without realizing the trouble they're in. Sure, a simple consequence is account termination but that doesn't seem to be enough for some of the immature impersonators or even the useless trolls I had ever seen.
Another part of the revamped YPP is that 10000 people will be hired by Google to work on things like manual reviews of the YouTube channels and such and things will be like effective or maybe complete globally two months later.

YouTube Heroes controversy

No matter which social media, video sharing or streaming service you use, there may be times that you're vulnerable to some cyber-threats you're not aware of like people talking trash to you over your look and other personal stuffs of yours. You can just ignore them or maybe find a way to take actions against them for their inappropriate behavior. Another problem is that you may be falsely accused during online gaming probably due to your skills or something. If you're showing off your skills, that's fine like you may be praised with positive comments and especially that other players may want to learn from you. However, when it comes to online game modes where you have to tackle other player characters online or something, there will be chances that other players may freak out on you with a bunch of troll comments. Even worse is that there  may activate some sort of non-verbal threat coming to you from some players like trying to ban you falsely over mods, hacks, cheats or whatever despite the fact that you've got skills and efforts to keep yourself on top.
Another notorious thing that has been haunting YouTube for years is a bunch of inappropriate videos posted there like to do real or fake mischievous shit to other players and especially that even kids have played games that are not suited for them like posing as someone famous through the entire impersonating channel or the video itself. Making an account that impersonates someone or some organization is a bad idea although chances of getting you reported for that are rare. Man, talk about the lack of online manners for sure.
Unfortunately, YouTube Heroes is not going to address the problems stated above. It's bound to make things worse while trying to get you some rewards for your efforts. You can gain points by adding captions/subtitles to your videos and share your knowledge with other people but here's where the disaster begins, the ability to report negative contents. The disaster is that the program may be abused easily in which some mischievous lifeless people can take this opportunity to flag/report whatever video they don't like regardless of how actually appropriate it is. What if some criticisms of a video are not enough? You think that the Like/Dislike system is not enough? Or maybe, there one kind of stuff that you don't like that you use YouTube Heroes as an excuse to report everything that falls under that kind of stuff you see? Under the end-user level, this falls under the mischievous act, the jealousy act or maybe the program can be criticized for attracting a kind of hate where one kind of contents someone doesn't like can be flagged like he's abusing the system. Perhaps, most of the things have dark/light sides and YouTube Heroes is one of those dark programs out there. Try flagging the videos that belong to the company's official YouTube channel or some famous person and there will be lawsuits and troubles coming after you. It's useless to think that you don't care for the troubles you will land yourself into for doing that. On the corporate level, it opens doors to censorship like if a company's stuffs are seriously criticized, they can use YouTube Heroes to do whatever it takes to take down the criticism videos that belong to various types of users like internet celebrities, YouTubers, and even product critics. Also, depending on the situation, the YouTube Heroes may be unnecessary, necessary or even optional to say the least. There were already cases where lawsuits were filed against the famous critics over some extremely terrible content out of the defenders' stupidity.
Before the existence of YouTube Heroes, there may be inappropriate videos that can be flagged just because they are offensive or something for instance although false reports from you on videos, comments or the users can get your account terminated. Also, moderating on other YouTube channels that don't belong to you may give you like one option compared to the moderating comments on your videos which you're given three options. I don't know the truth about multiple moderation options until now and from my account's perspective, I'm given one option for the comments on others' videos, that is to Report Spam or Abuse. Do I have time to review tons of comments on my videos like that?
At Level 3, this is where an evil disaster I mentioned above may take place where anyone mischievous or jealous can obtain this evil power to mis-flag whatever videos either for fun or because he doesn't like one kind of stuffs he sees to get this sort of reward. It's an epic WASTE OF TIME AND BRILLIANCE like why don't you give up when you reach Level 3 of YouTube Heroes program?
It's an evil and mischievous program we have ever discovered recently. What happened to the "Don't Be Evil" slogan? HOW COULD YOUTUBE BE EVIL TO COME UP WITH A PROGRAM LIKE THAT?  Such an evil part of the program, service, device, policy or whatever like that Level 3 feature I mentioned above SHOULD NOT EXIST! There's also YouTube Trusted Flagger Program that gives you additional action-taking powers or something provided that you follow the rules and guidelines carefully but then, the discovery of this can come from discovering YouTube Heroes program.
OK, I may be wrong about what I mentioned above. Corporations, brands and businesses are not eligible for YouTube Heroes program according to the rules so you don't have to worry about the censorship part on the corporate level and of course, even anyone working for government, government-owned or controlled company, public international corporation or political parties is not eligible for the program as well. There may be other rules of YouTube Heroes program in place where abusing it is a complete violation of the policies. However, even if the rules are in place, people are still ranting about this without even stumbling upon them. So, are the rules not enough by then?
There may be YouTube Heroes summits and workshops but then, local summits and workshops with YouTube are way too rare. Right now, the program is in beta stage but I don't know if I may end up bashing on it even if it reaches the final stage. If you thought that the Google Plus integration with YouTube was controversial, YouTube Heroes is the beginning of the EVIL MAN-MADE DISASTER I MENTIONED ABOVE.

Google Chrome reportedly bypassing Adblock that forces users to watch video ads

The actual culprit behind this bypassing is the unintended result of fixing the previous security issue and the developers behind the Chromium are already aware of it. The patch is likely to be on the way to Google Chrome 46 and until then, the only way to get around this situation is to disable Adblock, whitelist YouTube or maybe uninstall the YouTube app. Wait, YouTube web app on Chrome? That sounds kind of bullshit to you for your sake! You could have used the YouTube with HTML5 for smoother browsing right now on any web browser. You could have also used the YouTube app on mobile devices which obviously makes any sense.
OK, it may seem that many people were like putting blame to Google for causing this security problem but once again, the actual culprit is the one stated above at the beginning of this post. It may be a minor or normal issue level.

YouTube Kids app - Ads targeted at children

Embeddeding advertisements in the products or services is one of the ways for the company to make money but the serious downside is that the advertisements may be used to track users illegally by collecting or even stealing data from them for some bullshit purposes. Maybe there should be an app that doesn't have the ads at all and that it should be free even if it is highly popular but without advertising your app, you won't be able to make money from it as a developer. Perhaps, there should be other ways in making money like DLCs, in-app purchases and that's that.
It may be unbelivable that YouTube Kids app is under FTC scrutiny for targeting ads at children. Why do you want to be brought to things by those ads? And the annoying thing about ads in YouTube or any other app is that there may be video ads that do or do not have relations to the apps/services at all and it can be extra annoying that you may have to watch the entire ad in order to proceed any further. I think that it may be the most annoying moment on YouTube unless you have the extensions that go against the ads which can be simple to get but for YouTube Kids app, I can probably assume that there are ads about stuffs that will affect the people in a negative way whether they are children or not. So if the ad is about Cola-Cola product, it's a negative example because there may be something unhealthy about soft drinks like Cola-Cola ones. Even worse is that the other channels children may want to watch thanks to those ads may require subscription from their parents.
Or better yet, there shouldn't be ads in the first place because illegal tracking by ads is one of the security bullshits and that you should stick on to something really healthy and decent online services.

Microsoft's YouTube videos with stolen product keys in comments accidentally taken down

What's up with the thoughts from the leakers and pirates? How could the same mistake happen to the upcoming Windows 10? Well, it's not the first time Microsoft is trying to make sure that leakages of their products should not happen but things are backfiring even before the Technical Preview was announced for download in which there were already screenshots of what was going to be in between the Technical Preview and the next preview or perhaps the final version.
And in fact, this kind of piracy of prototype products has been going on for years regardless of whichever brand but when it comes to video games, things may have been that strict from the video game companies that they have been doing whatever they can to avoid leakage of their games by leakers but this is something the tech giants have been missing for years. There's also the warning message on the bottom-right of the screen for the private prototype builds, that is, the builds being done and shown around the company premises and that they are not for public or other companies to use. Public prototype versions won't have this message but the leakers have the guts to bypass that for the sake of piracy purposes.
Even if the products like Windows OSes have gone to the final stage which is RTM of course, it is still wrong to take product keys like that so that anyone can try them. The product keys should be bundled with every genuine copy of the product and especially that the products for business use should have the multiple licenses.
I have been beta-testing products and they surely have their own product keys that apply to specific builds only such as Windows 7 Beta that has its own beta product key and that exact same product key can be used by other beta-testers as well.
Then, moving on to the proper topic here based on what happened above. There have been illegal promotions in the YouTube comments regarding the stolen product keys in Microsoft's official YouTube videos. It's illegal and such usage has been done by the pirates and if anything bad happens, perhaps, the pirates are to blame. Out of the general reasons when it comes to reporting comments on YouTube, the only option I have been choosing is that I take stupid and useless troll comments for spams. Is there an option called "Piracy (something)" in the list that Microsoft could choose as part of the comment report? In fact, as there are so much kinds of comments that promote piracy, there may be too many to complain to YouTube like that but the thing is, the YouTube videos that belong to Microsoft were removed. If your YouTube account has three copyright complaints, that account will be banned.

Xbox One to get the new YouTube app

No, I had already removed the YouTube app from my various mobile devices except for Android in which the YouTube app can't be removed since it is part of Google. The reason for that still regarded the content ID disaster I already ranted at although my YouTube account isn't affected by that mess. Hell, I even posted a bunch of gameplay videos of various licensed games I have played but you should check the recent gameplay videos of licensed games of mine since I had owned that game on my Android from Play Store and it is free. It is pretty much legal based on the conditions:

1. The gameplay video of the licensed game based on whatever content.
2. The copyrighted content in the licensed game mustn't be too clean or the company may think that you may have posted the video with the content taken from somewhere else.

For number 2, the content in the game may be exactly the same or not. What makes it exactly the same though is like, okay, the content is the intro of the licensed game that is exactly 100% the same intro of whatever animated movie for instance. This may include the music, the intro animation with the same-god damn title of the animated movie, not the game title, and other stuffs that are the same with no modification whatsoever.
And while Sony may seem to be doing right even before and after Gamescom, it appears that there may be more entertainment apps and services coming to Xbox One which may continue to break the purpose of the modern game console. The game console when promoted should contain a bunch of games in action as part of the events, not any other bullshit which has nothing to do with gaming whatsoever. Playstation for Android was already ditched but the inaccurate thing from Sony was that they forgot to show off more Playstation Vita games in the event in addition to showing off a bunch of PS3 and PS4 games. It might be a shame that the Playstation Vita isn't that popular in the west and even the Eastern games released in the west don't seem to be appreciated of. I know that those games released there are not gonna be accepted by the western gamers in which they think that Sony is lazy, messing around or something unless those gamers happen to be the fans of whatever contents they like.
So, the new YouTube app will bring you the new experience with the TV-like interface for Smart TVs, Set-Top Boxes but game consoles, what the hell? If video capture without the need of the video capture card and YouTube are the combined reasons for today's game consoles, so be it. There's already Twitch.tv feature for both PS4 and Xbox One and they feature their own video capture feature so that there's no reason for you to get the video capture device.

Twitch to be bought by YouTube?

OK, we might have seen some good news from Microsoft that Google+ is apparently shutting down sometime in the future probably due to the lack of momentum that service has as if the Google bashers at Microsoft are glad or something even if the Scroogled campaign had come to an end recently this year. The campaign was controversial and wrong in the first place back then that it angered Google users but with the arrival of the big news of the on-going cyber-spying thingy ever since June last year, there were already senses being made on this past reason. Another recent reason was that Google and YouTube users were forced to use the Google+ service in which nobody uses as well and it was like a wrong move until today. However, even with Google+ integration and the service itself gone, it doesn't mean things are technically safe. There are still remaining bullshits Google has done including YouTube's controversial change of Content-ID system that have yet to be fixed.
The positive side of Twitch being bought by YouTube is that there will be more momentum than ever with YouTube and Twitch is popular among gamers in which there are tons of gaming videos. Although I don't know if you can transfer the videos you've video-captured with PS4 or Xbox One to the computer so that you can upload them to YouTube besides uploading them to Twitch through the game console. Xbox One already has the YouTube service but I don't know if you can upload the exact same video to YouTube that you have already previously uploaded to Twitch. What about the other gaming platforms? Is this another good reason to use Twitch besides those two consoles?

Direct video upload to YouTube for Xbox One owners

There is Twitch support for Xbox One and Playstation 4 where you can video capture whichever game you're playing without having the need to use the video capture device and then upload to that website but the only downside is the time limitation. It may look like a good move overall to me as YouTube itself is already fucked up and corrupted with some stupid Copyright ID Claim disaster thingy. What made that change from YouTube stupid though is that even certain of your gaming videos will be mis-claimed of the Content ID thingy even if they won't contain any single non-gaming content at all unless your videos contain some licensed contents like licensed songs for example, then there may be a risk that your videos will contain the Content ID claim that you can't blame YouTube for that.
So, why YouTube video upload feature for Xbox One? Maybe the service is still popular even today as if we don't know much of other video sharing sites like Twitch, Veoh, Dailymotion, etc. The serious downside nowdays as stated above is the reason you may want to switch to Twitch no matter which console you're playing. Hopefully, we can see some time limit extension for Twitch for consoles like having a 30-minute gameplay video which may be useful for arcade games ported to Playstation 4 or Xbox One but not the other styles of video games that take you longer than that time to complete.
If there's Nico Nico Douga direct video capture and upload feature for game consoles in Japan, they can use it instead of YouTube as the videos may look sharp and smooth at HD 60fps.
