Under Defeat HD DLC

Okay, looks like the DLC turns out to be the new helicopter whose weapon system behaves like you’re playing a regular standard shmup game where you have both primary and secondary weapons. Sure looks like it but the overall firepower when collecting Cannon or Rocket may seem to look like a mixed bag compared to other classic shmups. Perhaps the secondary weapons are already tweaked but not the whole firepower for main weapon. It’s a standard 3-way shot and it looks good enough with Vulcan weapon. The Rocket weapon makes the firepower nearly as good as using the Vulcan weapon but then the Rocket weapon is tweaked for some balancing. With Cannon weapon, this is already making the firepower a mixed bag. It looks powerful than the primary weapon but what if the enemy rams on you before you can get the chance to hit it with the Cannon weapon?

Compared to the main helicopter which takes time to re-charge the secondary weapon, this DLC helicopter will make you think like you’re playing a classic shooter game but with lesser looking firepower. At least to this game, the DLC helicopter has more firepower than the default helicopter.

The DLC will be released in March 28th for Xbox 360 and April for Playstation 3. Well, I guess that the DLC is already out for the Xbox 360 version and you can try out the epic DLC helicopter if you have this game. It sounds fine as long as the new DLC air unit is the helicopter type.

New higher screen resolutions

Well, the tablet and laptop devices don’t have the 1080P resolutions that the 720P like resolutions are the maximum estimations. Resolutions such as 1280X800, 1366X768 and 1280X720 for example are those maximum HD resolutions that the laptops and tablet devices can handle. The devices can also run the 1080P videos like I already tried on my laptop but will this be the same for tablet devices anyway?

For this year, there will be resolutions even higher than 1920X1080 for tablet devices. Hell, the new Apple tablet device was already out with such kind of higher resolution which is 1024X768 X 2. This provides the Retina Display just like Iphone 4 series and Ipod Touch 4th Gen devices already have. With that tablet device, you should be able to watch 1080P videos in addition to 720P videos. Sure, the screen resolution is still 4:3 but then the widescreen videos will be letterboxed anyway. Also, even Microsoft is preparing the tablet Retina Display like resolutions such as 2560X1440 compared to 2048X1536. Oops, that’s 96 pixels lost like that but imagine the Windows 8 Metro port of Darius Burst that will be optimized for HD screens including 1080P and Retina Display support. That will be pixel perfect on Retina Display tablet devices but for other devices, you will get pixel loss and that means certain parts of the screen will be cropped.

The better imagination involves taking a video of Darius Durst AC version and then convert it to 2560X1440 resolution. That will be freaking blurry for that and you still won’t get that kind of exact resolution when watching like that on TV or 1080P monitor.

Gal Gun DLC

*Sigh* What do you get when the console manufacturer didn’t stop the game making company from making it 17+ and the whole thing was successfully released on that console with 17+ contents? The Playstation 3 port is what you get compared to the Xbox 360 port. The Xbox 360 port is what people should appreciate instead of the Playstation 3 port but there should be some exclusive information to tell here about DLC for Playstation 3 version.

One of the DLCs is from Soreyuke Burunyanman for PC and PSP. It may be surprising that the DLC seems to be in HD but this is ridiculously worse for various reasons.

  1. Soreyuke Burunyanman is the 18+ bullet hell shooter for PC and PSP. The DLC for Gal Gun for Playstation 3 must be something that worsened the game rating.
  2. The Playstation 3 version is getting close to be 18+ game or something and who knows how the PSP version of Soreyuke Burunyanman can be guaranteed for the people.
  3. The original version of Soreyuke Burunyanman is 18+ enough but for PSP version, who knows.

And the DLCs for Gal Gun for Playstation 3 are what they were working for besides the PSP port of Soreyuke Burunyanman? Only to realize that the PS3 version may be fine like that but who the heck is going to play this by the way? The Xbox 360 version might be a hit but how could the game be released for Playstation 3 without any notice from Sony like that? Where are the actions and advice from Sony? Did they even check the Playstation 3 version even before the game’s release? Of course, there will be usage of Playstation Move to shoot at things but the Playstation 3 version has additional theme songs, modes and characters to take a look at. The 8-Bit stuff is updated to reveal something that looks like a Mega-Man game.

Overall, the 17-18+ contents in the Playstation 3 version are what make it an unacceptable version to play and many people are daring to compare this game to the various FPS games but then who the heck cares about the Playstation 3 port anyway?

More updates for Sound Voltex Booth

If Evans in this game isn’t bad enough, here’s Red Zone which is even worse or perhaps the worst rendition ever in this game. It’s so freaking annoying and Vocaloid is designed for singing, not talking, rapping or any other stuff! This is such a difficult assignment for Vocaloid producers in which they participated in remixing the existing songs from previous Konami rhythm games. Most of the Vocaloid covers are fine but the others are horribly screwed up. But the better thing and way to put in Vocaloid stuff in Sound Voltex Booth will be to compose a new song with that technology and then submit it to Konami for putting the composed song straight to Sound Voltex Booth. That’s the better way and contribution so that people can appreciate the contents. At least IOSYS and Sound Holic are praised for their music work for Sound Voltex Booth but that’s not enough to rescue that game. Furthermore, some of the Vocaloid songs from Sound Voltex Booth are in Jubeat Copious Append and another major update for Sound Voltex will involve different color and certain changes. Who knows what the changes are for the next major update?

Bullet Soul 1 Credit Clear and Eschatos Time Attack

This one’s an optional article to post into as the videos don’t seem to be receiving lots of views. It was a luck that I managed to 1 Credit Clear Bullet Soul with the first character, Yun. There’s no way you can adjust the game settings such as number of lives, difficulty level, etc. However, the downside is that I failed to reach the requirements needed to access the second loop.

For Eschatos Time Attack mode, I was lucky to clear it with less than few seconds left. I guess that I should try harder next time but for now, I may still have to complete Judgment Silversword as well as Cardinal Sins. I already completed the Normal Mode of Cardinal Sins but I missed out some of the boss phases in the final boss battle. The battle ended like that without going into those phases. Also, I still have to complete the Original and Advanced modes of Eschatos as I still haven’t got past them.

Sine Mora for XBLA

From what we saw on the in-game stages, the graphics are in high quality, so high in quality that G.Rev games on Xbox 360 are put to shame like that. The explosions and smokes are stunning so are the water splash effects when destroying enemies on the water. However, speaking of game storyline, you can see some giant enemies wiping out the city in a huge blast as we already saw in the game launch trailer for example. This is freaking epic but nowadays, storylines in shmup games are not important like that anymore. The most important thing is the gameplay in modern shmup games and what’s modern is the firepower of  your fighter as well as the number of projectiles that can be seen on the screen. But wait, is there a reason not to put in the fireworks like portion of the destruction when destroying an enemy like particles for example? Classic or today’s CGIs in movies, we can see the fireworks like destruction anyway when something big explodes. Now, about the developer company, one of the companies is located in some other country that the characters don’t seem to speak the common language we use to know.

So here’s the list of improvements needed for Under Defeat HD.

  • Large splash effects in Stage 2
  • The screen should turn orange upon destruction of the bosses.

Compared to Sine Mora which was recently released in March 21st, it seems that G.Rev had done a great job on Under Defeat seven years ago for the arcade but for now, there will be DLCs for Under Defeat HD. Hmm, a new air unit probably like a different helicopter or perhaps a fighter plane. Other than the DLC for Under Defeat HD, it seems that the developers of Sine Mora had done a great job on the graphics like that. The storyline and graphics to me are kind of epic so are the cutscenes that don’t make this game a 2D shooter anymore.

We’ll get more information after I get the full version of Sine Mora sometime later.

Project Diva Arcade March Update

Unfortunately, one of the songs, Intense Singing of H****** M*** is seriously the hardest song. I still can’t clear this on Project Diva Extend on PSP in Extreme Mode and the same problem went to the arcade version where things got that trickier like there was a lack of memorization of the beatmap. So far, I had done the songs from January and February updates and the March Update is the next.

From the March update, it will feature two new songs we don’t even know of at first as well as three of the songs from Project Diva 2nd. This brings a total of five and the update will be available in late March or something.

Meanwhile after this, I bought 1600 MS Points to buy Espgaluda II from Asian Games On Demand but think that I’m free after this? No, I’m still not free like that as it may be boring without working on something anyway on my computer.

Now, speaking of Miku Flick on Iphone, even AppSpy had talked about it and guess what, the music in the background is the concert version of one of the songs. Oh man, will you stop referring to the Vocaloid concerts as the first step of Vocaloid research and knowledge like that? So in the game, you’re supposed to flick on the respective Japanese characters to the music on the virtual keyboard. The markers appear on the keys like you’re playing Jubeat but then you’re supposed to swipe your finger on the markers in the respective directions. The downside is that the frame-rate is kind of choppy than smooth and the number of songs is obviously the least. Imagine treating the Japanese virtual keyboard on your smartphone as that game to whatever song you’re playing that is NOT on that game. That will be Break The Limit + Stealth Mode which this combination is twice as hard as Break The Limit mode. It may be a good deal to memorize the beatmaps from that game but the way you insert the Japanese words by typing like that will be inaccurate as if the lyrics you typed to the music may look like rubbish or something. However in the game, it appears that certain Japanese words will be fixed for you so think before you try treating the 10-key Japanese virtual keyboard as that game on your smartphone as things may be inaccurate. It’s a great idea but inaccurate to be frank.

In fact, there was a doujin Vocaloid rhythm game where you have to type in the lyrics with the computer keyboard to the music which could be even trickier as I thought. You’re supposed to type in the sentence of the lyrics on time to the music before the song moves on to the next line.

Espgaluda II obtained

Well, what do you know? The Omake mode may seem to be one of my favorites and is one fun mode you may want to try. Even at Rank 4, you’ll still be able to one credit clear that mode. When the bullets come close to you, they turn red and when you destroy an enemy, the red bullets that are close to you are cleared. Also, you’ll get like so much of Spirit Gems like crazy in Omake mode that you may have to spend time going into Awakening Mode a lot to score points. However, the downside of the mode is that, there’s no second level of Awakening Mode that decreases the number of Spirit Gems collected quickly and you can’t even make the bullets turn red once you run out of Spirit Gems in Awakening Mode. Instead, you’ll immediately return back to normal mode once you run out of Spirit Gems. You cannot go to Awakening Mode without those gems. You’ll have to collect them first. Also, you can’t even use the Energy Laser thing manually so the only way to activate it is to get hit by something which is sort of like auto-bombing. All the modes are accessible unlike Deathsmiles from Asian Games On Demand in which I couldn’t access the Mega Black Label group of modes entirely and the DLCs for Mega Black Label related modes are not in Asian Games On Demand as well. You can also use the Energy Laser to obtain Spirit Gems from enemy bullets just like the prequel’s Arrange Mode.

The Arrange mode is sort of like Ikaruga except that you have to shoot the bullets of one corresponding color. Wide Shot = Blue Bullets and Straight Shot = Pink Bullets. However, if you run out of Spirit Gems while in Awakening Mode, you can shoot all the bullets regardless of shot type and bullet color but be careful, even this method is limited as once you run out of Gold Bonus Gems, you’ll be kicked out of Awakening Mode similar to Omake Mode in which you’ll be kicked out for running out of Spirit Gems or Gold Bonus Gems. You must collect either Spirit Gems or Gold Bonus Gems in order to activate Awakening Mode. You can also collect Spirit Gems by shooting down the enemy bullets in Normal Mode while you can collect Gold Bonus Gems from enemy bullets in Awakening Mode as long as you run out of Spirit Gems.

Black Label has grazing but the way you cancel the bullets is opposite. This means that you don’t cancel bullets in Awakening Mode but who knows?

Lastly, there’s a strange problem regarding Espgaluda II HD. From what we know at Espgaluda II Smartphone official page, the HD version works on the Apple tablet devices only so what the heck is the HD version doing on the Iphone version category. You know, this is not gonna work on your Iphone and will crash like crazy like it did on my Ipod Touch. However, it turns out that they were actually planning to make the HD version for the game for Iphone but how the heck can this work on Ipod Touch 4th Gen?

Crimzon Clover for Nesica X Live

After Adventure Planning Service had completely finished their work on Trouble Witches for the arcade, Xbox Live Arcade and and Nesica X Live, they are planning to port the next doujin shmup game to Nesica X Live, Crimzon Clover. Crimzon Clover is basically the Dodonpachi clone that uses the graphics that match the graphical level of Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu. The controls are not like playing Cave shmup games however so you have to hold down both the Shot and the Focus keys to get the straight shot. In addition, you can use homing lasers at the enemies that are surrounding you and unlike Dodonpachi series, you can use Hypers like twice. While in the first Hyper Mode, you can activate the second one for twice the power. However, unlike Dodonpachi Daioujou, this one has like two levels of Hyper Mode power. Lastly, the pre-Hyper Mode is the bomb mode, that is before you reach the Hyper Level on the Hyper Bar.

The control layout isn’t that friendly enough on the keyboard so the best bet in playing this game will be via the game controller. Just remember, this game genre will not die. We’ll keep on seeing more shmup games in the future.

What’s new in the Nesica X Live version is that there will be two player support but right now, the site for that version had just opened via the teaser site style so we get to see more of the information after this blog post.

Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu HD Update

Looks like the Iphone 4 series and Ipod Touch 4th Gen users will get the HD update of the game that was released two years ago. It may be the same for IPad version but this is not the first time anyway as the previous game on that tablet with HD support is Espgaluda II which was also released two years ago. Last year, Espgaluda II for IPad had the HD update as well as the Smartphone Mode music that applies to the entire IOS version of the game.

The downside of this news is that they forgot to show off the trailer of the HD version of this game that was recently released yesterday. Basically, the HD version features the graphics that are similar to the Xbox 360 version. Also, the Smartphone Mode exclusive stuffs will get the HD look as well.

However, there are some differences by the way between the IOS and Xbox 360 versions. The Smartphone mode of Espgaluda II has you touch any part of the screen to clear off everything while in Awakening Mode. For example, if you touch the area with the turret, everything on that area will be cleared. Whether it’s the other enemies or the bullets that are above or next to that turret, touching that area destroys them including the turret and you get more Spirit Gems from clearing the enemy bullets while in that mode. Elsewhere in Black Label edition in Xbox 360 version, you can graze for awhile without getting hit while in Awakening Mode but who knows if that is true or not as I still haven’t got that game yet from Games On Demand. Also, the Arrange Mode can allow you to shoot back the enemy bullets while in Awakening Mode as long as you run out of the Spirit Gems. For Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu on smartphones, you get the giant hyper laser that looks like the rip off of Marisa’s Master Spark after spinning a lot in Hyper Mode. This is also in Dodonpachi Maximum for Windows Phone 7 but the bombing system may seem to be based on Dodonpachi II so that you can fill up the Laser Bomb bar as many as you can. Plus, there’s also grazing but that reduces your firepower to increase the Hyper Bar. Shooting lots of enemies on the other hand increases your firepower. For Xbox 360 version of Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu, the Arrange A Mode features the ships from Dodonpachi Daioujou and it is somewhat harder than usual while Arrange B has true graphical enhancements and like Espgaluda II’s Arrange Mode, the enemies may somewhat get stronger on higher levels. Also what’s different from Black Label edition is that you get two bars on top which may be equal to two bombs but that doesn’t mean you get two Hypers though as using Hyper Mode takes away one of the bars that is completely filled. The better side of Arrange B is that you get unlimited lives and it is somewhat the Arranged Training Mode.

More updates regarding W8CP

Buying the Touch Mouse may be an insane opportunity but in February 29th, they announced that the Touch Mouse devices to be updated for Windows 8. The Device Center for mice is the upcoming successor to Intellipoint that can allow such interactivity between the Touch Mouse devices and Windows 8. Remapping the mouse buttons or assigning keys on the keyboard to your favorite file or webpage is easier than ever in the Device Center beta for Windows 8 CP. Who knows if you can use this for the currently active operating systems as well besides Windows 8?

So here comes the updated article regarding Windows 8 CP. It is designed to work on a wide range of devices, from tablets, to laptops, to desktops and all-in-ones. This is calling Windows 8 as a reimagined Windows operating system. Few things to note, computers that follow the system requirements of running Windows Vista and 7 can run the upcoming Windows operating system that is still under beta phase and when it comes to beta phase, there are still bugs going on. However, the new features between desktop and tablet editions are different in behavior as I realized.

The Start screen is the reimagined part of Windows experience. Actually, it is from Windows Phone 7 experience you’re going to imagine on Windows 8. Just like other smartphone devices where you can launch things, you can launch sub-things that launch their respective apps such as Friends section that uses People app, websites that can be opened to Internet Explorer, etc. Unlike the competitors, there are real-time updates on the things you can tap on. Like other smartphone devices, the start screen can be customized to suit your needs.

There will also be cloud technology to store your stuff but unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a way to automatically synchronize your local data to Skydrive just like you can do to Dropbox where you can specify on where do you want to synchronize your Dropbox data on your hard disk. When you Dropbox data is stored on your hard disk and you store additional data there, it’s auto-synchronization time. Who knows if SkyDrive on Windows 8 will be like using Gladinet Cloud Desktop to do this kind of solution? Of course, you will need your respective online accounts and everyone knows that we all have our social networking accounts. We can see our stuffs posted to social networking sites as well from certain Windows 8 apps.

Certain Android tablet devices come with the laptop keyboard with its own touchpad and I guess that the attachment may be the same for Windows 8 but what about drawing graphics by then, do you use the stylus for that? Hopefully, there will be USB support for Windows 8 tablets as well that can be useful for gaming or perhaps USB keyboard.

The desktop edition may be troublesome when it comes to bringing Charm bar but that’s the fact that the scrollbars are there. You’re supposed to move to the corner of the right side or press Windows + C key. Where’s the way to share webpages you’re in to social networking sites from the Charm Bar?

Devices on the other hand, well, you can connect your computer to other devices in which there’s not much to say.

The Charm bar containing Settings may be a proper idea just like using Android but the Settings charm is almost like a combination of two. More settings can be found at PC Settings.

The way you switch apps may be the pain in my ass when it comes to going all the way to the top-left corner to do so. The switching features are there but you have to move to the top-left corner anyway. But if you move down from top-left corner, you can see the vertical taskbar with the Start screen button at the bottom left.

For IE10 Metro edition, there’s still no way I can move the freaking tabs and this is where the real disadvantage starts. Also, it uses HTML5 to get around the problem for watching YouTube videos for example. There will be no Flash support for this metro app but I guess it’s like watching YouTube videos the other way through the app on the smartphones. Will things be safer that way?

In case you have very serious computer problems, at the last resort, you can choose to refresh your PC which causes the operating system to do the fresh installation without losing your personal files or settings or apps you’ve got from the Windows Store. The Windows Update is still the regular Windows-like behavior so it’s nothing that much other than updating the smaller parts of the operating system to fix the vulnerabilities.

Lastly, the default anti-malware protection tool is there but it uses the Security Essentials engine to do the better protection. Also, the desktop is there but it is not supposed to be on the tablet editions. For desktop users, the desktop is there like you can do whatever you want but the Start button is gone and you have to find the other way to access the Start screen and especially the desktop apps.

So the beta phase may be okay or perhaps average for both desktop and tablet users but who knows if this is acceptable or not?

Mushihimesama Futari and Deathsmiles obtained!

After buying Eschatos from Games on Demand, it seemed that there were two more to buy like I already purchased yesterday. But when I went to Games on Demand section from Xbox Live Marketplace to get those two games, another one, Espgaluda II was recently released in March 6th. That was one day before Dodonpachi Maximum was released.

Furthermore, I went to the arcade to play the same game again and now there are four machines compared to two the other time. What a game clustering in case the buttons refusing to work usually one day and nowadays, the redundancy power has risen. So I played three of the songs from the January update as well as one of the songs from February update. The February update was none other than the pack of songs from Project Diva 2nd. Even if you have that game, the beatmaps are different between the arcade and PSP versions. Unfortunately, I felt nervous to play that song in Extreme mode from that February update so I decided to try it in Hard Mode as I can’t even clear this song in Project Diva Extend in Extreme Mode. Well, I keep on failing that because it’s way impossible for me in Extreme Mode but at least I can clear it in Hard Mode.

For Mushihimesama Futari in Ultra Mode, I even attempted it with highest amount of lives and bombs and I keep on spamming bombs on shit I can’t even dodge. This is one mode that will kick your ass in seconds and even I’m not an expert in this genre. So hard that that IAP faggot who presented with me can go and troll on that difficulty mode like she’s going to say stupid things like, ‘We don’t want so many bullets/dots.’, ‘We don’t want the game that is so difficult.’, ‘Playing simple games is better’, etc. Perhaps I can take her for a difficulty-fag and she can go back to play casual games after February 10th. As my case study presentation was successful, she deserves to repeat anyway next month.

So remember, visual and motion simplification is a test of limits by the way. You don’t want to see the games with the interface being too simple.

Eschatos obtained

Well, two more shmup games that are on Games On Demand to go and we’re off to buy something else. Seems that the Time Attack mode can your first step to going further to clearing the game if you can make it on time. Sure I took like dozens of hits from the enemy attacks in that mode but still, I made in on time. Also on Cardinal Sins, my first grade started with B which was as kind of great to me with C being okay by the way but D and E are shitty grades and you don’t want to receive those, right? For Time Attack mode, I managed to clear it with less than few seconds left like I nearly ran out of time for real.

Miku Flick on Iphone

Holy shit, I don’t even know how this can work judging from the gameplay concept. You’re supposed to find the correct word and then enter it on the lyrics on time. Until the game is released on March 9th, there will not be enough clues in our brain on how things can work. From what I can understand, things may be like:

  • All the consonants on the keyboard start with the vowel ‘A’ as the first phase in which you tap.
  • The second phase of inputting the word has four other vowels after tapping one of the consonants. While holding down the consonant you have selected, you must move your finger in one of the directions.
  • You have to do this in two steps on time to the rhythm and without clues, it’s an epic failure of the run.
  • The graphics are taken from Project Diva Dreamy Theater series.
  • If you see the Kanas with two inverted commas, that’s not much to worry about. They are like the same syllables you’re supposed to flick to but they are pronounced as different Kanas.

Wow, this is freaking difficult to explain and make sense on how things can work but if we see Kanjis or perhaps other stuffs like numbers or even English words. That can be more complicated like that for those who don’t know Japanese.

So you must have basic Japanese knowledge if you want to play this game but then it will be in Japanese I-Tunes store and I guess that it won’t be free price anyway as it costs 1200 yen or $15.

The system requirements obviously require the Iphone 4S, Iphone 4, Ipod Touch and the Ipad series as the graphics probably look like they’re taken from Dreamy Theater series.

Mushihimesama HD

Well, another one that is coming to the Xbox 360 console. It was also on the Playstation 2 like things may be more than pixel perfect but things were like blurry or something. Perhaps that port wasn’t arcade perfect or some sort. On the Iphone which was the recent release, the title screen was in full resolution but the color palette isn’t using 24-Bit True Color. I guess that it required Iphone 4 and above and Ipod Touch 4th Gen and above. For Apple Tablet devices, the downside was that the graphics are not in HD at all. My guess is that after Xbox 360 release, the IPad version will be updated again with full HD graphics. That can make proper sense by the way.

There may be additional modes on the Xbox 360 port as well as the Ver 1.5 as the DLC. Unfortunately, the arranger for the Ver 1.5 soundtrack was already dead last year but then he is still credited in our hearts. (Sigh) The load time when starting the game is ridiculously long on the Iphone but who knows if that is the same for the Playstation 2 version. Isn’t the Xbox 360 port optional anyway to exist?

Lastly, the release date will be sometime in May and this is when things are too late to start off smoothly but then nobody wants to push me back to the same college in next April after the term is complete in March 7th afternoon. The imaginary nightmare that involves the catastrophic threat is suspected to be about the repeat of Industrial Attachment Program like I may get laughed or scared at into being taunted like I’m repeating the program due to the screwed up presentation with the noob-ish faggot who did that with me the other time. This can hold me back from entering the Polys after the upcoming vacation which is coming near. The taunting will be in the style of Mushihimesama Futari’s final boss battle but nowadays, that kind of taunting is pretty useless as nobody does that anymore. Another useless taunt is that I may end up being struck or burnt to death at my college after April like it may be taunting me about repeating to catastrophic death.

What, am I possessing something as special as Reco has? How can that be like those useless taunts are likely assumed to be thrown at me like that after the IAP presentation was screwed up.

Welcome to Windows 8 Consumer Preview but in screwed up way

The Developer Preview might seem to be the impressive opportunity for me to try it last year but the following problems occurred from there. The charm bar as in Consumer Preview was missing and I still can’t snap things like that even in Consumer Preview. Also, you couldn’t even close the apps unless you use the freaking Task Manager to do it which is something you do not want when it comes to Metro experience.

Then, things were starting to get corrupted on me such as the Start Screen not showing things up in Developer Preview and unpinned apps couldn’t be pinned back or shown in the Apps search. Also, the Control Panel was so blanky looking than colorful in Developer Preview and interactivity in Internet Explorer 10 and Control Panel was animation-less. Even in Consumer Preview, I still can’t move the tabs in IE 10 Metro version.

Now, about the Consumer Preview, the boot screen looks kind of distorted but that looks okay on my Acer PC which is widescreen. Then, what the heck is up with the boot screen symbol as well as the texture-less polygonal betta fish? You know, why don’t you illustrate an artwork with bosses and boss backgrounds from Darius Burst and then use that artwork as the new wallpaper? That should be better that way or it may look like we’re being brought back to the past to play the 3D games with texture-less polygonal graphics.

The real disappointing side in Consumer Preview is that you have to move the mouse all the way to the corner to do the next interaction. The task switching by dragging is there but there’s also a Metro taskbar on the left which can be difficult for users to explain with. The right side is another real downside as you have to go to the top-right or bottom-right corner to bring the freaking charm bar. Also, what’s up with dragging the app task from the top side of the screen? Surely, that looks idea-less to me. At least, some problems are solvable with the tablet devices but I don’t know if the Metro task snapping is there or not. In theory, there should be for tablet devices.

Last problem, is there a reason on why they slacked on the Xbox 360 powered apps on Windows 8 like I can’t even connect to my console directly with those apps? Hmm, it’s not okay for laptop and desktop users like me for Consumer Preview. What kind of music were they listening to? That was a sign of the screw-up in the Music apps section. Also, the boot time is kind of worsened or something.

I guess that this is an unacceptable beta version of Windows 8 for desktop and laptop users. The release candidate of Windows 7 was enjoyable enough to me so is the developer preview version.
