Groove Coaster Gameplay Report - June 15 (Important Update)
That drilling noise as I mentioned three months ago is kind of over for the rest of this month or maybe a while. For whatever reason, they asked for another renovation stuff this month that the noise occurred again. But of course, it wasn't an excuse as a way of going out to the arcades at Century Square again just like ever since three months ago. It was actually due to some reunion reason that I went to Century Square as well as Tampines Mall for lunch and dinner.
After the lunch and before the dinner, it was when I went to the arcades again. I went to Event Mode in Groove Coaster for the first time only to get blown away online by other players. Seriously, they must be damn good at the rhythm game genre in which they are able to get No-Misses and Full Chains on many songs. It doesn't matter whether it's Multiplayer Mode or Event Mode, they are already tons of times better than me as I already know it all along. I might be doing fine to be frank but they can do much better if you ask. Also, with skill improvement for Groove Coaster, I don't know what's my limit right now. The crossover event is still on-going until June 19 and consists of songs from various Shmup games and the most famous one from that event is Hibachi theme from Dodonpachi Resurrection. It is famous for being extremely hard TLB in Dodonpachi Resurrection but its theme song can't be the hardest in Groove Coaster if I can believe it. I had seen gameplay videos of this before going to the arcades to attempt it only to find that I had a pain on my right shoulder from button-tapping to the beat like that. Also, I had trouble with some of the patterns in that track and it was a close call that I managed to clear it in Hard difficulty. However, there won't be any reason to show that result of mine from the game's official Mypage as the song is so hard enough that I had made tons of mistakes and showing you that will get me criticized like I already was on YouTube for certain gameplay videos. You will need a Nesica account along with the account for Groove Coaster arcade registered to your Nesica card to gain access to your Mypage where you can see your personal results and do other exclusive stuffs like unlocking songs with GC points for Groove Coaster 3. It will be extremely grindy to get enough GC points to buy specific songs I want. Also, the staff roll song for Groove Coaster 3, Link Link Fever, is somewhat accessible in Event Mode but you still have to unlock it for Standard Play by adding friends in your Mypage.

Dodonpachi Daioujou for IOS obtained
There may be enhancements you can buy from as IAPs that will make the ship more powerful but then, it may seem to be unnecessary when comparing to the arcade version.
Strange thing is that the resolution of the IGS PGM is much wider than 320X224 standard resolution that only the HUD is pixel perfect. Other than that, everything is completely stretched like pixelated. But when played on the standard arcade CRT monitor, you can see that the HUD is squashed.
Dodonpachi Resurrection for IOS obtained
Another problem is that my IOS device is really old and it's already running out of space by then like I may have to do some app backups with ITunes before removal certain stuffs on it and it may look like further mobile gaming is already done on my Android devices as a new IOS device is seriously expensive and the IPod Touch sales are damn poor like there won't be IPod Touch 6th Gen.
Admittance aside, the IOS version has the Smartphone mode in addition to Arcade mode which has the mass laser beam of slaughter to unleash by using touch screen to go 360 degrees non stop in Hyper Mode. To gain Hypers however, you will need to be in low power by grazing or attacking enemies to get in high power. Of course, it may be easier to get Hypers while in low power. While in Hyper Mode, you can't move the ship at all. The only flaw for the Iphone/Smartphone mode is that its soundtrack is way out of place. I guess that I shouldn't have wasted my time in arranging certain songs from that the last time.
Nowadays, starting from two years ago, it appears that the huge financial trouble had haunted Cave Co. Ltd that the arcade division ceased to exist and Dodonpachi Saidaioujou is like the last arcade game from them. However, there was a PS3 release of Ketsui and obviously the developers of the port have the resources of the Xbox 360 release, not Cave itself as the release is published by 5PB and some Cave employee had left the company to join Mages and especially from some famous employee from Hudson Soft whose gaming programs/shows are different nowadays so you won't see the classic shows from him like the 16-Shot stuffs coming back as he's no longer from Hudson Soft and that certain Hudson Soft classic franchises are at the hands of Konami which they don't have time for those.

My Top 5 Wordpress blog posts of last year
- Dodonpachi Maximum and Saidaioujou OST CD - There was an update for Dodonpachi Maximum which included an additional stage, updated Ketsui boss battle BGM, more sound effects and other gameplay tweaks. It also included the Easy Mode in case you find the game as hard as balls even in Normal Mode difficulty and above. The bonus songs in the CD are the arranges of the original Dodonpachi and the image song of Dodonpachi Saidaioujou. This year in Spring, you get to hear the Xbox 360 exclusive BGMs in the Xbox 360 port of Dodonpachi Saidaioujou as well as to see the opening and play as the new Xbox 360 exclusive character. Damn it to the Xbox 360 shmup openings, they look as simple as ever with the gameplay videos as part of the opening. Maybe the opening sequence to today's shmups is unnecessary anyway while the ending sequence may be optional depending on the game like escaping from the exploding enemy fortress with your spaceship.
- Dodonpachi Saidaioujou OST CD Update
- Eschatos Arrange OST DLC and Patch - Eschatos may seem to be great but the DLC is somewhat tremendously ignored as if people prefer the fan-made arranges instead. There are other updates that allow Tate mode for Judgment Silversword and Cardinal Sins as well as other patches for this game as well. Stay tuned for this February as Ginga Force will be released from the same creators of Eschatos.
- Soreyuke Burunyanman for PC and PSP - The PSP version has the extra stage which is already ridiculously hard after the last stage and the third playable character is replaced entirely with a different character to make this game a 17+ compared to the PC version. However, these changes were already too late as things were already controversial between this and Galgun on the Playstation 3 which also had the DLCs taken from this game. However, the text is somewhat too small like that on the PSP version and there are more slowdowns than usual. The Playstation Vita port can fix a thing but it cannot be the same for the contents and graphics that this kind of port will not happen. I imagine that the Playstation 3 port will have even sharper graphics but the third playable character should be taken from the PSP version. You know, you're better off with other games instead of this and Galgun.
- Calendar App for Windows 8 - Well, I've been using Windows 8 ever since the Developer Preview phase and this year, I may be using Windows Embedded Standard 8 Release Preview which may expire in April compared to Windows 8 prototype versions which may expire this month. What happened to the Metro apps? Well, as I'm still using the Release Preview version, the apps are not functioning anymore like it's a COMPLETE SHAME on Microsoft like that for making this operating system a major development disaster compared to its rival mobile operating systems whose apps are still as functional as ever. If not for the stupid Desktop stuff for tablet users, if EVERYTHING is metro-ized which includes EVERYTHING on desktop mode and Metro mode and if NOT for other bugs, it MIGHT have been a better operating system in the first place.

Dodonpachi Maximum for IOS
Originally a Windows Phone 7 shmup game, this on IOS is going to be much sharper due to the fact that it is going to be released on Iphone 4 and above and especially the tablet version. The Iphone 4 version to a surprise has a larger resolution than the Windows Phone 7 resolution although it is 4:3 by the way that there’s already a workaround for the IOS version of the game. There will be letterboxing no matter which device you’re using. On Iphone 5 which uses widescreen resolution, there is still letterboxing due to different widescreen resolution but it may seem that the Android version may be chanceful due to the use of widescreen resolutions. On the tablet, the graphics are the sharpest but I don’t know how the game will be like on Ipad 3.
Meanwhile, there will be additional ships to play as as well as some unknown DLCs for the game but in the meantime, the IOS version will be released in October 26th. This can save your ass from seeing the release of some catastrophic operating system as we know of that will change the way we use the computers in the future.

Soundtrack starring Donpachi, Dodonpachi and Dodonpachi II
Well, there’s not much to say about this newly released soundtrack compilation but this was Sweeprecord’s latest soundtrack CD. There will be another soundtrack compilation CD to talk about in the next blog post but let’s note on what will this contain. It will contain Donpachi, Dodonpachi and Dodonpachi II music as well as the Sega Saturn exclusive stage BGM. And remember on how terrible Dodonpachi II is? You know, this is not how the next Dodonpachi game should be made, right? We should expect slowdowns, epic danmaku as well as proper gameplay quality. Why are the normal enemies taking more than 1 hit to be defeated? Why are the larger ones taking even longer to be destroyed and besides, you can’t even destroy as many things part of scenery as you want easily. Lastly, what the hell is up with the intro and ending scenes as well as the character concept and the plot? THESE have nothing to do with the series as if Dodonpachi Daioujou is the true sequel to Dodonpachi. We surely understand that IGS games are in Chinese but the Chinese character concept may be unnecessary for sure because it is out of place.

Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu and Espgaluda II on Google Play
While we were excited and prepared for the release of Project Diva F on Playstation Vita as well as M***’s August 31st birthday which already marked her fifth anniversary, there was some announcement from Cave.
Two days ago, Dodonpachi Resurrection and Espgaluda II were finally on Google Play globally for Android so there’s not much to say in this article.

Dodonpachi Saidaioujou for Xbox 360
At the Microsoft Xbox event in Japan called Xbox 360 Great Appreciation Festival, Cave had announced that there will be an upcoming Xbox 360 port next year in Spring. It will have an additional Elemental Doll as well as the Arrange Mode in which we don’t even know at this moment. Unfortunately, while the game trailer was shown in the event, it wasn’t posted online on YouTube.
Speaking of Great Appreciation Festival, it seemed that the developers of Ginga Force also had their game on the trial list but unfortunately, it seemed that Cave was the first to show-off the earliest at the event yesterday at 4PM although their latest game, Dodonpachi Saidaioujou is NOT in the trial list. This was when they just announced that there will be a release of it on Xbox 360 in the future. Who knows what games will be on the speech list in September 1st? Another unfortunate thing was that Ginga Force is delayed and the release date will be pushed to sometime later this year than August 30th.
Hmm, we may be nervous that if there is a bad global future, there will be no chance for this release to happen and besides, the arcade version will be the only focus so far we can get before all those bullshit destructions wipe the shit out of us all.

Mushihimesama Futari Black Label on IOS
Wow, Black Label edition, really? Yes, otherwise, things will not be perfectly the same as the Xbox 360 version as the Xbox 360 version apparently has Black Label mode as the DLC. However, what’s new in the IOS version of Black Label edition is that there will be Lock-On Boss Rush Mode. Not only you have to fight the bosses from this game, but also the bosses from the prequel. Wow, fighting the prequel’s bosses with this game’s weapon set? That surely sounds like the Cave Lock-On technology for Boss Rush mode so it can’t be the same for the whole game itself. However, there’s a grading system that is somewhat comparable to Tetris The Grand Master series. So if you play well, you will deserve higher grades so I assume that I won’t have such kind of higher grades due to getting my ass kicked a lot in further parts of the game. This may be similar to buying Dodonpachi Resurrection Black Label for Xbox 360 where you can get the Arrange Mode for that edition instead of buying the DLC for the original version which is Ver 1.5. It’s a shame that they have to decrease the graphical quality of Black Label edition of Dodonpachi Resurrection though and especially for Arrange Mode where-else the Arrange A of Ver 1.5 game surely has better looking laser beam as well as better looking Hyper weapons. In Arrange B, almost all the effects are made translucent which is as nice as Mushihimesama Arrange Mode on Playstation 2.

Dodonpachi Saidaioujou OST CD Update
It seemed that the last Cave online shop in late May had the extra copies of Dodonpachi Saidaioujou OST CD in addition to other stuffs that were tributes to other Cave games. According to the tweets on Twitter, the release date of the soundtrack CD was likely to be May 26th which was late May but someone already had a copy of this soundtrack CD earlier and then posted the video of the Image Song to the video sharing site. Unfortunately from what I heard, this image song is like lazily written in lyrics or something as if this image song is not as good as Dodonpachi Dai-Ondo which is somewhat the best Cave Image Song. Another one other people might have heard of was Muchi Muchi Pork Image Song as well as the Image Song of Pink Sweets Ibara.
Now that we’re entering June quite soon which there will be some global shit going on after this.

Cave Goods Corner, their future sales in June
Looks like there’s one more Cave Festival before the closure of the online shop at the end of this month happens for real. This is indeed a sad month but the farewell actually applies to the Cave Festival as their future shop will be held somewhere in Kotobukiya which their shop will be opened there in June. That can be where you can buy stuffs from there. Certain examples you can buy are soundtrack CDs, home accessories that are tribute to the popular Cave games out there, bags and the list goes on. Their future shop will be located on first floor but you can take a look at the other categories that are tributes to other stuffs as well usually other games and animes and the shop contains multiple floors where you can find more of these there. What’s more, you can even see the display showcasing the promotion videos related to their corresponding products. Be it the existing games that are available for the arcades or consoles or the animes in OVA or TV series format that can be watched on TV channels or perhaps Blu-Ray and DVD. That depends on the promotion video but also take note that you have to know the dates of how things are likely to happen to the products. Let’s say that the game was recently released this year for the arcade, you have to know when it was released so that you can catch the opportunity to play it after the day of the release. Otherwise, perhaps the soundtrack CD of the game is something you may want to listen to instead after you’ve found out the game’s release date.
Now this may be a future opportunity to buy certain Cave accessories with simple cash but who knows if the soundtrack CD of Dodonpachi Maximum and Saidaioujou will be available again in June. The company does but then you can explore the area of soundtrack CDs related to respective Cave shmup games. I don’t know if they will be on sale again next month but still, we have to focus on what’s going on this month.

Cave shop will be closing at the end of May
It’s kind of regrettable to say the least but it seems that the Cave online shop website will be closed down at the end of this month. What’s the reason for this, I don’t know? I guess that the items representing their games are sold out of something. However, there will be future plans to add in additional items to the shop and they surely have one more game to be released this month for Xbox 360.
The title of the closure message says that it is a farewell to Cave festival and Cave Shop will be closing down. What games will they be working on next after Mushihimesama Xbox 360 port? Well, who knows? At Cave festivals, you can see the games that are on action including the accessories that are the tributes to the respective games. There are also CDs and other stuffs in which you can buy from as well. Also, the event already started late last month and the first item would have to be Dodonpachi Saidaioujou and Maximum OST CD. This on-going event will be over in May 6th at 11:59PM which is next Sunday.
By then, it looks like the ultimate catastrophic ending is likely to be coming closer with the shop being closed down at this upcoming future. But who knows if the shop will be opened again with newer additional items including those that are tributes to the recent games released this year? Will they develop more shmup games in the future starting from this month?

Dodonpachi Maximum and Saidaioujou OST CD
The sale might have begun yesterday that more remixing work will come after someone has bought the CD. But before the game’s finalization/release, someone had the guts to sequence the Stage 1 song of Dodonpachi Saidaioujou at Nico Nico Douga and as you can know, it had wrong sets of notes but that was how he heard of the song when the game was being location tested. When the game’s PV was released by Cave, we should be able to hear the whole song of Stage 1 from that game although the voices and the last part of the song may be the only distractions in my opinion.
Eventually, I started to refer to the video above for some arrangement work of Stage 1 from that game and somehow, it sounded like a good arrangement I did. However, there were three minor flaws within this rendition. First, the instruments may not be as accurate as the original version. Second, the chorus start part from the original version uses some kind of sound effect in which I had no idea on how to manipulate things like that. Third involves some inaccurate sets of notes that made the enhancements inaccurate.
Dodonpachi Saidaioujou Stage 1 SFJ Remix – Download here
Last but not least, after the game was out in the arcades, another person at Nico Nico Douga had the opportunity to make his own rendition based on the final original version as heard in the PV video. I believe that the game was still in the prototype phase during location testing as if the warning sound effect was different, the ‘Kan’ circle thing on the title screen was missing and the mini display of the character speaking which is on top was missing as well. They may represent some kind of military video communication systems installed inside the fighter planes where the pilots can communicate while piloting.

Eschatos Arrange OST DLC and patch
The sale of Dodonpachi Saidaioujou and Maximum OST had already begun today and while I was still contributing remixing stuffs for various Cave shmup games including Dodonpachi Saidaioujou, there’s another update for an existing shmup on Xbox 360. That is the DLC for Arrange OST of Eschatos. Take note that this arrange OST is different than the bonus arrange tracks you hear on the official OST CD. This DLC has like 14 tracks arranged including the bonus tracks. Also, there’s some track that uses the Vocaloid technology just like Mamoru-kun has been cursed on Playstation 3. In addition to the DLC, there’s a patch that fixes other stuffs and finally enables the true TATE mode for Judgment Silversword and Cardinal Sins so that you can play those two games on the vertical monitor, be it the arcade cabinet but then, you can still see the wallpapers as the Wonderswan’s resolution seems to be different.
The original soundtrack for Eschatos must be way too damn interesting and especially for the Sega Genesis like music composer, Yousuke Yasui, in which there are tons of arranges of the songs from this game. The famous songs from this game will be Silver Lining and Survive for instance. Props to that composer for this Genesis-like tunes, and the arrangement contribution is the same for Mamoru-kun has been cursed.

Mushihimesama Futari for Iphone
Apparently, the game was recently released two days ago for the Iphone but there’s some problem that holds back the port. Although the non-in-game backgrounds and foregrounds are sharp enough for the Iphone and Ipad versions, the in-game graphics themselves are not in HD. It’s the same for the prequel as Mushihimesama Futari must be using the same sort of template as the prequel elsewhere for Dodonpachi Resurrection and Espgaluda II, they already have the HD graphics that are optimized for other IOS devices besides the Ipad. Also, you get the smartphone exclusive wallpapers outside the gameplay which are different than the Xbox 360 ports. It’s kind of shameful that the Smartphone mode is missing in this game and that’s the second disadvantage.
Well, I already had the Xbox 360 version from the Asian Games On Demand service and from that time, you could remember that I set the settings to max lives and max bombs and other stuff before starting the game in Ultra Mode like I spammed lots of bombs at the patterns I couldn’t dodge. It’s so hard and the same thing applies to the smartphone version but the smartphone version contains four difficulty ranks or whatever which are the overall game difficulties where else the three difficulties are the sub-difficulties but they serve different purposes. Original mode doesn’t bring up the danmaku a lot but for Ultra mode, it is a must if you want to face the true last boss.
Now this one seems to be d***ing some forest off ever since the prequel if you have known the storyline. In this sequel, Aki is killed in the battle in the prequel and it seems that the poison is over for awhile. But to Queen Larsa’s reaction, she has decided to send out her forces including Palm to deal with Princess Reco as revenge. Indeed, it’s a 200-year peaceful living that the 15-year old person must be sacrificed for the villagers in the forest to survive.

Espgaluda II obtained
Well, what do you know? The Omake mode may seem to be one of my favorites and is one fun mode you may want to try. Even at Rank 4, you’ll still be able to one credit clear that mode. When the bullets come close to you, they turn red and when you destroy an enemy, the red bullets that are close to you are cleared. Also, you’ll get like so much of Spirit Gems like crazy in Omake mode that you may have to spend time going into Awakening Mode a lot to score points. However, the downside of the mode is that, there’s no second level of Awakening Mode that decreases the number of Spirit Gems collected quickly and you can’t even make the bullets turn red once you run out of Spirit Gems in Awakening Mode. Instead, you’ll immediately return back to normal mode once you run out of Spirit Gems. You cannot go to Awakening Mode without those gems. You’ll have to collect them first. Also, you can’t even use the Energy Laser thing manually so the only way to activate it is to get hit by something which is sort of like auto-bombing. All the modes are accessible unlike Deathsmiles from Asian Games On Demand in which I couldn’t access the Mega Black Label group of modes entirely and the DLCs for Mega Black Label related modes are not in Asian Games On Demand as well. You can also use the Energy Laser to obtain Spirit Gems from enemy bullets just like the prequel’s Arrange Mode.
The Arrange mode is sort of like Ikaruga except that you have to shoot the bullets of one corresponding color. Wide Shot = Blue Bullets and Straight Shot = Pink Bullets. However, if you run out of Spirit Gems while in Awakening Mode, you can shoot all the bullets regardless of shot type and bullet color but be careful, even this method is limited as once you run out of Gold Bonus Gems, you’ll be kicked out of Awakening Mode similar to Omake Mode in which you’ll be kicked out for running out of Spirit Gems or Gold Bonus Gems. You must collect either Spirit Gems or Gold Bonus Gems in order to activate Awakening Mode. You can also collect Spirit Gems by shooting down the enemy bullets in Normal Mode while you can collect Gold Bonus Gems from enemy bullets in Awakening Mode as long as you run out of Spirit Gems.
Black Label has grazing but the way you cancel the bullets is opposite. This means that you don’t cancel bullets in Awakening Mode but who knows?
Lastly, there’s a strange problem regarding Espgaluda II HD. From what we know at Espgaluda II Smartphone official page, the HD version works on the Apple tablet devices only so what the heck is the HD version doing on the Iphone version category. You know, this is not gonna work on your Iphone and will crash like crazy like it did on my Ipod Touch. However, it turns out that they were actually planning to make the HD version for the game for Iphone but how the heck can this work on Ipod Touch 4th Gen?

Crimzon Clover for Nesica X Live
After Adventure Planning Service had completely finished their work on Trouble Witches for the arcade, Xbox Live Arcade and and Nesica X Live, they are planning to port the next doujin shmup game to Nesica X Live, Crimzon Clover. Crimzon Clover is basically the Dodonpachi clone that uses the graphics that match the graphical level of Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu. The controls are not like playing Cave shmup games however so you have to hold down both the Shot and the Focus keys to get the straight shot. In addition, you can use homing lasers at the enemies that are surrounding you and unlike Dodonpachi series, you can use Hypers like twice. While in the first Hyper Mode, you can activate the second one for twice the power. However, unlike Dodonpachi Daioujou, this one has like two levels of Hyper Mode power. Lastly, the pre-Hyper Mode is the bomb mode, that is before you reach the Hyper Level on the Hyper Bar.
The control layout isn’t that friendly enough on the keyboard so the best bet in playing this game will be via the game controller. Just remember, this game genre will not die. We’ll keep on seeing more shmup games in the future.
What’s new in the Nesica X Live version is that there will be two player support but right now, the site for that version had just opened via the teaser site style so we get to see more of the information after this blog post.
Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu HD Update
Looks like the Iphone 4 series and Ipod Touch 4th Gen users will get the HD update of the game that was released two years ago. It may be the same for IPad version but this is not the first time anyway as the previous game on that tablet with HD support is Espgaluda II which was also released two years ago. Last year, Espgaluda II for IPad had the HD update as well as the Smartphone Mode music that applies to the entire IOS version of the game.
The downside of this news is that they forgot to show off the trailer of the HD version of this game that was recently released yesterday. Basically, the HD version features the graphics that are similar to the Xbox 360 version. Also, the Smartphone Mode exclusive stuffs will get the HD look as well.
However, there are some differences by the way between the IOS and Xbox 360 versions. The Smartphone mode of Espgaluda II has you touch any part of the screen to clear off everything while in Awakening Mode. For example, if you touch the area with the turret, everything on that area will be cleared. Whether it’s the other enemies or the bullets that are above or next to that turret, touching that area destroys them including the turret and you get more Spirit Gems from clearing the enemy bullets while in that mode. Elsewhere in Black Label edition in Xbox 360 version, you can graze for awhile without getting hit while in Awakening Mode but who knows if that is true or not as I still haven’t got that game yet from Games On Demand. Also, the Arrange Mode can allow you to shoot back the enemy bullets while in Awakening Mode as long as you run out of the Spirit Gems. For Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu on smartphones, you get the giant hyper laser that looks like the rip off of Marisa’s Master Spark after spinning a lot in Hyper Mode. This is also in Dodonpachi Maximum for Windows Phone 7 but the bombing system may seem to be based on Dodonpachi II so that you can fill up the Laser Bomb bar as many as you can. Plus, there’s also grazing but that reduces your firepower to increase the Hyper Bar. Shooting lots of enemies on the other hand increases your firepower. For Xbox 360 version of Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu, the Arrange A Mode features the ships from Dodonpachi Daioujou and it is somewhat harder than usual while Arrange B has true graphical enhancements and like Espgaluda II’s Arrange Mode, the enemies may somewhat get stronger on higher levels. Also what’s different from Black Label edition is that you get two bars on top which may be equal to two bombs but that doesn’t mean you get two Hypers though as using Hyper Mode takes away one of the bars that is completely filled. The better side of Arrange B is that you get unlimited lives and it is somewhat the Arranged Training Mode.

Mushihimesama Futari and Deathsmiles obtained!
After buying Eschatos from Games on Demand, it seemed that there were two more to buy like I already purchased yesterday. But when I went to Games on Demand section from Xbox Live Marketplace to get those two games, another one, Espgaluda II was recently released in March 6th. That was one day before Dodonpachi Maximum was released.
Furthermore, I went to the arcade to play the same game again and now there are four machines compared to two the other time. What a game clustering in case the buttons refusing to work usually one day and nowadays, the redundancy power has risen. So I played three of the songs from the January update as well as one of the songs from February update. The February update was none other than the pack of songs from Project Diva 2nd. Even if you have that game, the beatmaps are different between the arcade and PSP versions. Unfortunately, I felt nervous to play that song in Extreme mode from that February update so I decided to try it in Hard Mode as I can’t even clear this song in Project Diva Extend in Extreme Mode. Well, I keep on failing that because it’s way impossible for me in Extreme Mode but at least I can clear it in Hard Mode.
For Mushihimesama Futari in Ultra Mode, I even attempted it with highest amount of lives and bombs and I keep on spamming bombs on shit I can’t even dodge. This is one mode that will kick your ass in seconds and even I’m not an expert in this genre. So hard that that IAP faggot who presented with me can go and troll on that difficulty mode like she’s going to say stupid things like, ‘We don’t want so many bullets/dots.’, ‘We don’t want the game that is so difficult.’, ‘Playing simple games is better’, etc. Perhaps I can take her for a difficulty-fag and she can go back to play casual games after February 10th. As my case study presentation was successful, she deserves to repeat anyway next month.
So remember, visual and motion simplification is a test of limits by the way. You don’t want to see the games with the interface being too simple.

Few upcoming Dodonpachi’s on the works
Looks like more than two Dodonpachi related games are on the works. Two of them are new while the other one is the existing game for Iphone, Dodonpachi Daioujou. It may seem that there’s not much to say about Dodonpachi Daioujou over its interface but for Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu, it actually has the proper sense on its futuristic interface as you can see on the title background, the ‘Demonstration’ text and so on. Speaking of that kind of interface, it seems that Dodonpachi Maximum has reached that kind of level. It is the upcoming game for Windows Phone 7 devices. That is wow upon stumbling across that site that it should deserve the Android and Xbox 360 ports. For Dodonpachi Saidaioujou, who knows. We have to wait even further before further information can be discovered in the future. That was what I was told after being curious about the storyline between Dodonpachi Daioujou, Daifukkatsu and Saidaioujou. Maybe the war will be twice as fierce in Dodonpachi Saidaioujou after the whole war was declared in the past for nothing in Daifukkatsu. What a waste of the pilot’s time but at least, he had already saved the past or the history of the game series will forever be changed. Then for Dodonpachi Maximum, there’s an additional credit info that says ‘Developed by Evac Industry’? Maybe it’s a spin-off but who knows if that will behave like Ketsui.
Plus, Cave developed their secondary blog in January 23rd which was the one first day of Lunar New Year with the profile being Evac Industry. Imagine that there are two to three to four shmup teams now. One of them may be the one that will work on Dodonpachi Maximum, one of them may be Dodonpachi Team or something with the other team working on something else. The last team involves the Battle Garegga team that the HUD fonts surely look that retro. Wow, will there be a catastrophic war with mechanical dragons wiping out everything by then?
