Read Mode in Word 15

This one, there's not much to say but at least we can see more of the features such as reading one or two pages at a time which is sort of like reading PDF files in Adobe Reader in one page or multiple page modes. Previously, you can see two pages in Print Layout in Microsoft Word but then, things are already too small that they are not optimized for tablet devices.
In addition to editing stuff in Full Screen Reading Mode, you can scroll the documents horizontally or vertically depending on the number of pages to be viewed on screen at the same time. In addition, the Navigation Pane similar to Adobe Reader allows you to choose which page you want. Interestingly enough, even if the tablet is rotated to Vertical Mode, the full screen reading is still there but in vertical mode of course which is kind of useful for using Microsoft Office for tablets in vertical mode.
Plus, you can tap on the specialized objects such as tablets, charts, shapes and even groups of objects but while this is useful for reading stuffs, it is still not easy to edit like that on the tablets. And that is where the flaw comes in for Microsoft Word for tablets.
Lastly, in case you get stuck on certain words and meanings you don't even know, there's the Reference Tools where you can find out the definition of the specific word. You can also search on Bing within the application as well as to translation using Bing Translation Tool. This allows you to find out more while reading the premises of the documents. Another feature that is rarely used is the Reviewing Tools which may consist of comments and Simple Markups you've put in the documents. Be warned, there may still be stupid comments invading on popular videos like that on the internet so make sure that the documents made in Word are not invaded with these.

System Administrator Day in July 27th

Lol, what was I doing like that by then? The Advanced SystemCare with AntiVirus on my computer expired yesterday that I had to uninstall it, leaving it running Windows 8 RP to be unprotected. In fact, I didn't even get the opportunity to get some full rest on that day by playing some console games but still, my computer got no rest at all. And worst of all on that day, the London Olympics had apparently started which almost ruined the special day for System Administrators.
Yesterday was the System Administrator Day and we had to give System Administrators a respect for their hard work and dedication. This was the day the administrators got some rest 24 hours. Everyday, the system administrator have their endless jobs to do 364 days a year. It is supposed to be 365 days a year but because of System Administrator Day which is the special day, it is decreased by one to 364. The more they work with good and serious business attitude, the more they get paid and they can spend their business cash on buying additional technical devices as parts of the jobs. It is a must when something goes down that repairing is required or when the technology in the company is getting damn old that it requires some upgrade.
Finally, we will like to thank the System Administrators for their hard work and they must ensure that things are working smoothly without causing the workers any technical problem that causes the clients the same problems as well.
So what does System Administrator do? Well, he takes care of the technological systems as his endless job. He is to clean up the computers and servers from viruses, errors and other technical problems and especially replace the devices that are not working anymore. Another thing he does is to bring storage devices from one server, disk arrays or even the current data center to another perhaps to process from another, perform backups from various networks to the others, for us and the company. It is the professional, with complex skills, ethical challenges and a daunting IT job. The challenge of this job is about making technological systems work smoothly for us even if one part of the device fails. Basically, it is about taking the staggering array of technologies, acronyms, protocols, networks, vendors, budgets, limited time, competing products and threats the computer network, and assembling them all together in a complete working system. The job as the system administrator is not only to be the geek in the corner who uses the computer and types on stuff all day, but it is also about bringing these diverse pieces of technology into order, and fitting them together to fill your needs. However, the downside of the job is that, things are still not perfect and we're still figuring out on how to make things perfect. Being a system admin takes a certain boldness, to be one of the first people to take on the challenge of turning difficult computers into easy to use ones. But in case one system admin gets stuck, the other can help so that system admin is not the only system admin in the field to work on.
Lastly, when you think of the system administrator, think of the people who run the servers that help you clean it off, the people who run the backup to make sure your data is safe, the people who bring you the network, the people who monitor things for security and the people who clean off the threats off your computer and replaces your failed devices.

Blazing Star for IOS and Android

Unexpectedly enough, we had just stumbled upon another Neo Geo game on the IOS and Android. How is this an emulation sort of thing when there are smartphone shmup controls for this game and having to keep on mashing the shot button is like, urgh? Well, it may be because the gameplay is based on Pulstar which is an Ex-R-Type game with Blazing Star being somewhat different or something while retaining the Pulstar gameplay. You can compare this to R-Type Leo as they have co-op play and it's the same for R-Type Dimensions for XBLA.
The graphics in Blazing Star and Pulstar are spectacular and amazing and some stages have true 60FPS FMV sequences as if the graphics are like 3D on 2D sort of thing on Neo Geo, similar to playing shmup games with 3D graphics on 32-Bit era and above. Strangely enough, Blazing Star is NOT the only Neo Geo game on IOS and Android but it is a surprise to see games like this on these mobile platforms. The only thing missing is that it needs the Neo Geo Station and Virtual Console releases.

Project Diva F Latest PV

What, what were the developers doing? Are they out of other resources? There's new graphical engine as well as new songs and modules... BUT THE SONG LIST IS AS SHORTER THAN EVER! HOW IS THIS A RESPECT TO NUMBER 39 LIKE THAT? Look at the song list, according to the PV video, the song list is like up to 31 new songs. The one that adds the song list to 32 songs is not new because it is already from Project Mirai on 3DS. The best bet is that the song list must be above 39 songs or it is going to be quite disappointing although the Edit Mode is able to save the asses of the custom music video makers.
Of course, there's going to be Phantasy Star Online 2 collaboration in this game like you may want some Vocaloid stuff on the non-Japanese version of PSO2 but the thing is, there are players of Phantasy Star franchise who are against that technology like they want Sega to kick those characters off this online game. Lastly, since Project Diva F is going to be on Playstation Vita, it may seem that those who are Anti-Vita may comment on why this game is not in Playstation Portable. The reason for being in PS Vita regards the new graphical engine which is quite new compared to the current Project Diva games we already know of. Perhaps you can save your ass with this new upcoming Dreamy Theater F for Playstation 3 next year like you may want to play that version instead after buying Project Diva F and Playstation Vita. If rhythm games are your reasons in buying Playstation Vita, so be it because the serious disadvantage right now is the console's expensive price due to lack of sufficient game library. What's useful however is the AR Live Mode similar to Project Mirai as well as some kind of real-life activity which may spoil you apart like you're playing Love Plus games or something.
Buy this game and DJ Max Technika as well as Playstation Vita if you like/want but you have to watch out for retarded douche-bags, fan-fags or whatever in any location you're in and don't get caught playing the PS Vita by them. But what the hell should we do in that case? Should we keep the console a secret?

Office 15 Preview - Let's Get Started!

Well, I already had Office 15 Customer Preview installed on my computer provided that I have my Windows Live Account. From the Office 15 Customer Preview official website, you can click on Sign Up button to get directed to the Office 365 Home Premium Customer Preview. You're allowed to install Office 15 Home Premium edition on up to 5 devices. Furthermore, you can access the Office documents on the cloud via SkyDrive technology. Also, you can click on one of the products under 'Explore the Office applications' where I think that you're still directed to Home Premium edition.
Below Home Premium edition part is the 'Services for Business' part. There, you can select ProPlus, Small Business Premium or Enterprise. Professional Plus is for IT Pros, Enterprise is for large enterprise business and Small Business as it suggests, is for small business companies. ProPlus Preview lets you create up to 25 users with 5 installations per user. So this kind of volume licensing method is under 'Per User' so one user can install Office 15 Preview on up to five devices which leaves 24 users remaining. Small Business Premium Preview and Enterprise Preview editions take the benefits of Office 365 Pro Plus edition that allow professional email, shared documents, and HD video conferencing but the Enterprise Preview has extra features like Exchange Online, including archiving and legal hold to fully manage your company's email in the cloud. The Enterprise Preview edition also includes SharePoint Online to manage, share and edit business documents and Lync Online to allow you to conduct meetings and collaborate across remote teams on the network technologically and your team members.
In addition to the new Office 365 split up into new editions and existing editions, there are newer versions of individual products that are separate parts of Microsoft Office such as SharePoint, Exchange, Lync, Office Web Apps Server, Project and Visio. For IT Pros, you can get the new version of SharePoint Server, Exchange Server, Lync Server, Project Professional, Visio Pro for 365 Preview and lastly, the Web Apps Server Preview.
Surprisingly enough, the Apps for Office and SharePoint service is at Developer Preview stage which is similar to when Windows 8 was in Developer Preview stage but it is likely to be for developers.

Hardware Acceleration in Windows 8

High-end computers are likely to be the must for advanced multimedia work, advanced computer gaming and of course, computers graphics work. You can still use those three purposes on mid-end computers but the performance will not be as good as the one in high-end computers. In the past from 80s to 90s, there were Windows Accelerators powered graphics cards which allowed the windows from the desktop GUI to be moved around the screen faster. As technology involves, so do the newer graphics cards and their new features as well as the newer methods from the developers. So far for Windows 8, there is still no sign of Windows Media Player 13 or DirectX 12 and yet, the recent graphic cards are already powered by DirectX 10 or 11 with DirectX 11 powered graphics cards being the latest opportunities for Windows Vista and 7 gaming users.
With the new Hardware Acceleration features for Windows 8, it seems that the Metro stuffs are starting to get smoother but unfortunately for Office 15 Splash Screen, it isn't quite smooth as we realized. Also, another goal from the developers of the operating system is that they want to provide a hardware-accelerated platform for all Metro style apps regardless of which type of app to ensure that things are performing smoothly as well as to add new capabilities to the existing DirectX to enable stunning visual experiences but with interface like Metro interface, I am not sure about the graphical features because in Office 15, certain graphical features are apparently different or perhaps broken. Even with the goals they have set to ensure smooth graphical performance, the great performance and graphics platform's capabilities surely depend on your computer's video card.
So far, NVIDIA already has the video card drivers for Windows 8 but since this is the power of prototyping, things may not be accurate.
But to a surprise without our knowledge through corroboration, even the latest Windows Live Essentials programs make use of DirectX perhaps for animations such as Mail, Mesh, Messenger, etc.
For text performance improvement in Windows 8, it goes a long way towards creating the better experience so web pages, email programs, instant messaging and other reading apps are able to benefit from high quality and high-performance text display. The Metro style design language ever since two years ago is used in the latest Windows Live Essentials, Windows Phone 7 and 8, the new Xbox 360 Dashboard and the on-going Microsoft official website.
For geometry rendering performance in Windows 8, is the core graphics technology used for tablets, charts, graphs, diagrams and user interface elements. The improvements deliver high-performance implementations of HTML5 Canvas and SVG technologies for use in Metro style apps and webpages viewed in Metro web browser apps. In IE10 Metro edition, it is already smooth enough in watching YouTube videos in HTML5 mode but even then, things are still not accurate in terms of performance. A new graphics hardware feature called, Target Independent Rasterization is used to improve the graphics performance when rendering irregular geometry. It enables Direct2D to spend few CPU cycles on tessellation so that it can give drawing instructions to the GPU more quickly and efficiently without sacrificing visual quality. It is available in the video cards that support Windows 8 and DirectX 11.1. Furthermore, Microsoft even collaborated with the developing partners of the video cards to design TIR. Dramatic improvements were made possible thanks to this collaboration. DirectX 11.1 video cards are already available today that you may want to buy a new computer with those video cards so that you can get the newest technology experience as long as you're using Windows 8 but more work still needs to be done so that TIR-capable products will be broadly available.
For image rendering through PNG and JPEG, the SIMD usage is expanded for faster image decoding on all CPU architectures. JPEG's improvement also has faster Huffman while PNG's improvement has faster image encoding and decoding by optimizing zlib implemented by Microsoft. The results are that the rendering time is much lesser in Windows 8.
Direct2D Effects form the new set of APIs that enable high-quality hardware-accelerated effects to be applied to any image. They provide optimal-quality renderings of image effects to suit the needs of wide variety of apps. They are also hardware-accelerated and work on a wide variety of graphics hardware. They provide many built-in effects and support large image sizes and up to 32 bits per channel. Lastly, custom effects can be combined with built-in effects or other custom effects. The SVG filter effects and CSS 3D transforms are implemented using Direct2D Effects features.
Overall, the rendering is much faster in Windows 8 and the new graphics features improve the new graphics capabilities. Hopefully, there will be newer video cards that support Windows 8 but my point is that there should be DirectX 12 because DirectX 11.1 is minor to us.

Virtual Keyboard in Windows 8

Ever since Windows XP Tablet Edition where there might be the virtual keyboard program which is the specialized On-Screen Keyboard in addition to the Handwriting area on the tablets with stylus in which you can write some text you want but then the virtual keyboard is way better than using virtual handwriting, right? On Windows 7, the touch screen feature may be improved but even so, the interactivity is still unfriendly enough on the tablet devices.
On Windows 8, you have multiple ways to enter text on the virtual keyboard such holding the tablet with two hands while using your thumbs to type, resting the device in which you can use your fingers to do proper touch-typing similar to typing like that on the laptops or you can use one hand to hold the device and use the other hand to type but that may be a challenge.
However, there may seem to be the problem interacting like that on the devices that make use of the glassy screen which may be troublesome but the developers are trying to find some ways to fix it. Glassy screen may be the reason on why the mobile devices are apparently using the term, Retina Display, to multiply the screen resolution by 2 which can make screen identification different. So if you see the mobile device with no real screen pixelation or whatever, that may indicate that the device is apparently using Retina Display and the result is that things are getting much sharper.
Then, there comes the Numbers part on the virtual keyboard. You may notice that the numbers are missing by default but then we prefer to type in the numbers through the number pad in which even laptops computers don't even have the separated number pad. Instead, the number pad is somewhere on the keyboard which may be weird in typing the numbers like that. Nowadays, there are laptops with SEPARATED number pad which on the right side of the laptop keyboard formed to make the keyboard a complete whole. Strangely enough on Android and IOS devices, if you want to type in the numbers, you may have to switch to another set of virtual keys, the one with the symbols and the numbers instead of the letters, that is. For Windows 8, there will be the virtual number pad if you switch to another set of virtual keys by switching to &123 mode. From there, you can scroll through the symbols you want to enter in in addition to entering in the numbers.
There was a prototype virtual keyboard which has the Shift key with multiple levels similar to Android and IOS devices, Numbers Key, Symbol Key, Tab Key and Emotions Key. However, not all special toggling keys were made available as the lab test on this apparently failed that it confused the shit out of the participants in which their typing came to a halt. Accented characters well, that should be in another set of virtual keys because holding one letter may be ridiculous like that. When did IOS and Android devices have such kind of feature like that?
Other than one to two flaws in virtual keyboard in Windows 8 for tablets, this feature is a must try just like using other tablet devices.

New Office with Touch?

From what I identified from the look of the interface compared to the other tablet applications, the borders for the buttons are obviously missing which may be tough to tap onto. Another problem is the Dropdown Boxes such as selecting the font you want or the font size on the tablet. When you tap on those boxes, there should be tablet way of scrolling up and down with the finger swiping so that you can tell the scroll bar to go screw itself. So, how is the spacing between the buttons making the interface touch friendly enough? You can go ahead in using the desktop app of Microsoft Office on the tablet but since things are getting better but inaccurately for interacting with fingers, perhaps you will still need the stylus for your work in which you can get around the problem. So, for the font you want for the text to be chosen on the tablet device, there should be finger swiping feature that replaces the scroll bar in Touch Mode as well as the virtual keyboard popping up. Of course, it may be problematic for tablets running this new version of Microsoft Office on Windows 7 so I suggest that you use Windows 8 WITH the new version of Microsoft Office on the tablets for improved interactivity. Furthermore, there's even the true Metro version of OneNote so that you can use instead of using OneNote desktop version which may be tedious enough but for the desktop version, it actually has more features than the Metro version so even the Metro version of OneNote is inaccurate.
Of course, you don't make things too small when editing documents like that on the tablet that it may be difficult to make them large again. So, what can we think about re-sizing things on the document on the tablet? What's good about the interface feature on the tablet is that, instead of separating the button with the arrow into two buttons, the buttons with arrows will trigger the menu when you tap on them which may be neat on the tablet as long as you're in Touch Mode so for the Normal Mode, things stay in the default way that clicking the arrows next to their related buttons triggers the same menu. So if you want to change the color of the text for example, tapping on the buttons triggers the menu on the tablet so that you can select which color you want but for Normal Mode, clicking on the Font Color button itself (Not the Corresponding Arrow) will change the font color into that color. So let's say that the Font Color is already in red color and you click on it, not the arrow button, the text you're in will be changed to red color. I don't know if certain specialized menus from the Ribbon Bar are inaccurate enough like there's no enlarging whatsoever to make some space needed for tablet devices. The Main Office Menu or the File Menu, is already improved with proper interactivity for both the tablet and non-tablet devices which may be as neat as using the Start Screen.
Now, about re-sizing and rotating objects on the tablet devices. Doing like that the same way as we do on the normal computer may be insane if there's a tablet way of rotating and re-sizing objects like using the zooming feature to make the object bigger or smaller or using the rotation feature to rotate the object, that will be like doing these on other programs on other touch screen devices. You cannot use the desktop way to rotate and resize the objects like that on the tablet which may be problem-some like you may end up accidentally dragging the object which is kind of bullshit.
What about the easiest ways to resize headers for rows and columns in Excel on tablets? Even if there's the easiest way to do this on the tablet, having to use spreadsheet app may be kind of tedious in other ways such as having to drag the bottom-right corner feature to fill in the other cells of information. However, there's a new feature in Excel 15 called the Flash Fill, which is even quicker in saving you time having to type in all the information one by one even though there is a standard auto-fill based on the previous parts of the information already entered.
The MiniBar ever since Office 2k7 is also improved in Office 15 for the tablets by having larger buttons which may be touch friendly enough. In addition, the MiniBar is improved to have additional stuffs needed for the tablets.
Radial Menus in OneNote 15 may be as special as using the apps that have the radial group of buttons. I think that PocketCloud apparently uses the Radial Group of buttons in case having to tap on the stuff is quite difficult due to things being very small on the screen. By having on the Mouse Simulation button, you can drag the mouse by dragging on the Radial Group thing and then tap the button you want such as simulating the left-click on the button. But here in OneNote 15 on tablets, the Radial Menu is another easy feature for you to tap on and it may be a replacement to the MiniBar.
Overall, Office 15 Beta may be alright to use on the tablet but then, Windows 8 RP for tablets to me is already below average while Windows 8 RP for computers may be above average. Office 15 Beta on the normal computers may be the next great anticipation for you like it is not the waste of your time into trying the opportunity to use it.

Magical Beat for Nesica X Live

After the blog report on Jubeat Plus's Nico Pack which contained four Vocaloid songs, we had stumbled upon this arcade game with the Vocaloid music. This is Magical Beat for Nesica X Live by Arc System Works. That's right, you might have known the company that was the makers of Blazblue series. It turned out to be a puzzle game + rhythm game which may be comparable to Lumines series but unlike Lumines series, you can merge the blocks of the same color regardless of the shape where-else in Lumines, you are supposed to form a large block so that it can be eliminated by the vertical line which is going in the Right direction. In Magical Beat, you get three pieces of a block to drop compared to Lumines which has four pieces of the block which is a square shaped group of blocks similar to Tetris but the pieces of the block may be the same in color or different. Also in Magical Beat, you're supposed to drop the blocks to the beat for some kind of bonus and like Lumines, you're supposed to defeat your opponent to move on. Comparing to Lumines VS CPU Mode where you can have more space in which more parts of the board belong to you if you overpower your opponent, there will be nuisance blocks dropped onto the opponent board from the top similar to Puyo Puyo franchise and like that franchise, you can clear the blocks near the nuisance blocks to clear them as well. And be careful, if you over-reach the top of the board without any sign of block elimination whatsoever, you're considered defeated but before that, the cross marks on the top of board may indicate that you' re going to overreach soon that you may want to do some elimination and the cross marks are applied to all the top columns of the board. Indeed, you don't even see the warning signs on top of the board in Lumines in case you're reaching the top so be more careful.

Hell, the game was already out in late May and hopefully, people may get to enjoy it despite the music being done by the Vocaloid producer, KikuoP. In addition, you also get to play as the Blazblue characters as well as the music from Blazblue series which may be cool enough to get around the problem in case you're not comfortable with the default music that is in the game. Once again, it seemed that Arc System Works and the developers of this game had done right.

Miku Flick 02 Update

Wow, the first one must be really expensive and in fact, the graphics are taken from Dreamy Theater series due to having even higher resolution than the Project Diva games on PSP. Graphical downside though, it is using FMV sequences or whatever and they are really choppy. The second one still has the same flaws though but it introduces the new gameplay mechanics in addition to newer game modes. How can those not be in the original first one instead? I guess this is somewhat a little bit disappointing to me upon having the realization of the sequel. First of all, the framerate is freaking choppy and it is still choppy in the second but I don't know if that is true or not. Second, the song list is still as short as ever like the whole game will be quite short, even shorter than Project Mirai which is also lesser in success due to not having the edit mode compared to Project Diva series which HAS Edit Mode. Third, the original doesn't even have additional modes the Project Diva series has and the song list is all you can get. But don't worry, the first one is already great enough but in the sequel, Miku Flick 02, I don't know if this is going to be disappointing or not.
In the sequel, it has songs involving other Vocaloid characters performing which may be bravo and there's also the Extreme Mode which is back but why play in Extreme Mode when you can have Break The Limit mode? There will be Downloadable Content and I hope that there will be packs of songs just like the other rhythm games on IOS. Finally, there's the Replay Mode where you can view the other player's run on certain songs in certain difficulties.

YouTube Face Blurring

Grahh, hate to see myself in the videos like that but they at YouTube have the brilliant idea of including the Face Blurring technology which is like the online version of Face Blurring stuff in advanced video editors but this one may seem to be easy.
Once you've chosen the video you want to blur things out, you can go to the Video Enhancements tool and go to Additional Features and apply the Blur All Faces from there. This will help you to blur the faces in the video but it can't seem to be the same for sharing videos of bad moments like seeing certain bad guys like that. Perhaps this technology is inaccurate as if even the bad guys are blurred like we can't know who the culprit is for example. Also, another inaccurate thing is that if you want to show yourself talking to people about certain topics you've come up with like a video blog, video review or whatever, perhaps this feature is not for those videos you're going to come up.

Office in the Cloud

Finally, Office 15 was out this month and I had the opportunity to try it. There are more features than in Office 14 and some of the features are like using Adobe products on the Mac such as zooming in and out in PowerPoint 15. In slide show view, you can zoom in and out using the zooming feature in case people can't even see what was written on the slides which may be useful but during the presentation, it may be time consuming so you need to plan the presentation properly in order to save time. Other new features include the smooth transitions and animations everywhere in Office 15 software and I was like, wow, things are impressive like that. Since Office 15 is using Cloud Technology, there will be an opportunity to store your documents to Skydrive in addition to connecting your Microsoft account to various sites such as social networking sites like I already connected my Windows Live account to. Also, you can insert online stuffs in addition to inserting the stuff stored on your hard disk. When you install Office 15, you also get to see the video as shown on YouTube I already watched. Unfortunately, it displayed the prototype Office 15 logo at the video's end which is likely to be a flaw but Microsoft is still working all along. Other than using Skydrive, you can also use SharePoint to store your Office documents and thanks to Cloud Technology, you're also able to use your Office documents stored on your Skydrive on mobile devices as long as there's an internet connection as well as the Skydrive and Office apps installed. Best of all, you can share your documents to social networking websites but then there was already an app from Facebook called Docs in which you can store your Office documents there and start sharing. Man, what's the freaking point of that? Not all people take a shit on the newer prototype technology.
If you have your Office account which is also the Hotmail account, you can access your Office documents at the Office Preview website. It's similar to viewing your Office documents at Skydrive website but I guess this is much easier than using Skydrive to locate your documents.
Lastly, there's also the Office 365 Home Premium for home use. At least, I was excited for new technology like this and it seemed that Microsoft decided to expand the Office 365 into different editions. However, those new editions are under Customer Preview as well. Unfortunately, there's one bastard here. The preview product will expire after months after the product has reached the final stage that I have to stick on using Office 2k10.

Dropbox in Europe is leaked

Yesterday, users in certain parts of Europe were reporting on the Dropbox forums saying that they couldn't log in and were receiving the spam mails from online gambling sites which was a really bad technical incident. Luckily, the Dropbox company was starting the investigation based on the report and found out that the outage was incidental and not caused by any external subject. What was the reason for the outage? Did someone trip on the cables or something? Did someone leave behind the important security feature off and not on? If the important security features are not turned on and implemented improperly, the bad chances are that there will be signs of compromising of the websites themselves holding the database of the users and their data.

Office 15 Blog

As the beta version of Microsoft Office 15 will be demonstrated in July 16th or so, they have opened a new blog called the Office Next blog or Office 15 Blog. It seems that the Windows 8 blog was like a hit that they've decided to make another blog.
Previously, there was a technical preview version of Office 15 but that wasn't even publicized. Now, the beta version of Office 15 will be released sometime this summer. Another release from Microsoft this summer is Windows Server 8 Essentials which is the successor to Windows Home Server 7.

By the experience of Office 2k10, there were improvements so far when using PowerPoint. First, the performance is improved when performing such complex animations compared to Office 2k7 which is kind of choppy. Second, there are formula changes in Excel 2k10 so that you can note the differences between the various criteria of the formulas. For example, you want the Standard Deviation formula to be numeric only, I think that you should enter like this, STDEVPA as STDEV.P is the default Standard Deviation formula without whatever formula criteria you want. Other than these examples, I don't know the other differences between Office 2k10 and 2k7 as I had upgraded from Office XP to Office 2k10 personally the other time to try out the new features. Will Office 15 be much better than Office 2k10? We'll find out after this weekend.
However, the downside against this excitement is that there was extreme major CME hitting us yesterday which could be more dangerous than the past like we must be prepared for electrical shut-off to prevent such crazy overloading of the electronic appliances. It might range from a standard disaster to a mega one but hopefully, that's not to worry about this downside as we have other things to get us excited of.

Project Diva F Commercial

Sega is planning to make a commercial with some dance thing to Weekender Girl which is one of the game's exclusive songs. It is open to everyone but I don't know if the foreigners can get the opportunity to do it. However, the tutorial video is all the people can learn and the other video comes after the tutorial video. The steps are all based on the choreography taken from the game but even then, things are still incomplete as Sega is still working on this game in addition to Dreamy Theater Extend and the upcoming Miku Flick 02 on IOS. Well, Project Diva Arcade Ver B was already out and it featured the new menu music, result music, etc. In addition to changed non in-game music, there's also the Rival challenge feature as well as PV snapshot feature. Other tweaks include the Excellent grade for the arcade version ever since Project Diva 2nd. Last includes the interface changes and addition of the songs and modules taken from Project Diva Extend.
The reason for this dance thing is that it's Miku's fifth anniversary and her voice actress was apparently aware of this celebration and decided to make a compliment. The special page from the game's official website contains the information about the dance thing and has the form for you to fill in. I believe that it may be up to 150 people or registrants or something and it is for Japanese residents. Take note that this is not the finalized commercial as the finalized commercial will of course have Saki Fujita say something we don't know of about this game.

Photos App for Windows 8

It is quite fortunate that Windows 8's Photo App has the ability to contain online photos such as the ones stored on social networking sites and Skydrive. Besides this app, we can use other Metro cloud apps that contain online data but the storage belongs to the cloud services and not the respective standard Metro apps in Windows 8. The ICloud service gets around the problem with the synchronization of the data stored in your IOS devices and you can also use the service and ITunes to synchronize your data in your computer as well.

Just like using your Windows Live account in which you can view social networking posts because you've connected it to various social networking sites, this is basically the same story in People App in Windows 8 in which your Windows Live account is the Microsoft account.

In addition, there will be an import feature for the app that allows you to import photos from external devices and other Windows 8 devices. Another addition is that you can apply any picture you want as the background for Photos App. Didn't the Android and IOS have such thing as applying a background on the Photos/Pictures App? Indeed, you can have customized wallpapers on IOS and Android when it comes to Home and Lock Screens but for Windows 8, the Start Screen's freedom is a joke!

Like other Metro apps, you can use the Share charm to share certain things you want and that includes using the Photos App to share photos to various social networking sites.

Hmm, what about the photo editing apps? Well, those will be under third-party apps where you have to get them from the Windows Store or the retail shops where you can use them to edit photos yourself but what's the point of doing this when editing photos and videos on the devices with retina display?

Soreyuke Burunyanman on PSP

Finally, the Playstation Portable version will be out in August 2nd. Around last month, there was an updated announcement from Alchemist indicating the actual release date. While the PC version will be 18+ entirely, the Playstation Portable version will be less than 18 so there will be changes on the PSP version. From the opening video of the Playstation Portable version, some parts are changed and the third playable character is changed as well. Bosses when defeated, well, I don't even know what to say but it seems that that part can't be 18-ish compared to the mini-game version. However, that forth boss will need to be changed because some danmaku attacks are already inappropriate enough and the voice acting and the script will need to be changed as well. For Gal Gun on Playstation 3, it was like a shame to make things even more perverted like that and who knows if this game for Playstation Portable will be done inaccurately.

Raystorm for IOS

After the release of Rayforce on IOS, there comes another one in the series for IOS, Raystorm. Instead of using the HD graphics, this port uses the original graphics and thus, things will be much pixellated but it is said to be better that way according to the actual reviews and Metacritric. At Metacritic, it is unfortunate that the HD version gets the overall rating of 4/10 which is slightly below average.
How did they screw up the HD version like a little bit bad?
  1. The in-game aspect ratio is in 4:3 stretched to 16:9 display while the graphics are in high definition form.
  2. The effects are somewhat inaccurate.
  3. Some slowdowns are detected.
I guess that the first flaw is the major flaw and it is wrong to stretch the whole game like that but for the IOS version, you get two game modes and the Smartphone mode is looking like Extra Mode from the console version with the Arcade Mode being based on the arcade version. Other than these modes, the game is still identical so it's still a great game.

Miku Flick/02 on IOS

Nice timing Sega and it’s already Independence Day in the US! Currently, they’re planning on the sequel to the original Miku Flick on the IOS. Right now, there’s a teaser site indicating that the site is open and it says that game is coming soon. Other than this, we don’t know the information of the launch date and the price tag. Also, we don’t even know what songs will be in the sequel but hopefully, there will be the HD version for Ipad to make the visuals as sharp as the Dreamy Theater series on Playstation 3. It’s already quite thankful for using the graphics from Dreamy Theater series thanks to the use of Retina Display technology for Iphone 4 and Ipod Touch 4th Gen and above.

Sound Voltex Booth Update–Lincle Link

Wow, apparently, there was a special update called Lincle Link which is basically linking this game and other Bemani games to Beatmania IIDX 19 Lincle. This special update featured two songs from Beatmania IIDX 19 Lincle. One of them surprised me like I didn’t even know that IOSYS was involved in IIDX games. When did they get involved like that besides Sound Voltex and some other rhythm games that are not made by Konami? The other song that was in Beatmania IIDX was apparently remixed by IOSYS for Sound Voltex Booth so the song composed by IOSYS for IIDX 19 Lincle was remixed by someone else.

In addition to Lincle Link songs for Sound Voltex Booth, even Exit Tunes was involved in putting their songs in this game. However, is there a stupid reason for anyone to dislike preview videos like that even though the songs are not using Vocaloid at all? I guess that whoever disliked those videos must be the fans of those Western rhythm games or perhaps the casual rhythm games that are simple enough to be played.

Sine Mora for Playstation 3

Last time, when Sine Mora was planned to be released for XBLA and PSN, the PSN port was cancelled with the XBLA being the exclusive release. Now, the announcement of this game is back with Digital Reality’s plans to release this game for Playstation Network in addition to Playstation Vita release. Will the home console versions get the DLC that will be available for the Vita version as well?
