Beatmania IIDX Gameplay Report - Progress on Super-Star Mitsuru Perfect Revival

Super-Star Mitsuru is back and his event recently started last week. In this event, there are 8 achievements you must complete in order to unlock the respective items. Completing all achievements unlocks the second song while completing 4 of them unlocks the first one. Unlocking these gives you the respective Tran medals so check out the outcome at the end of the game. Of course, for some of the achievments, failure of the early stages or doing in the wrong order is not the option. For example, Only One Judge requires that you play the Level 3 in First Stage, Level 2 in Second Stage, then Level 6 in Third Stage. You have to do this in the respective order and try not to fail any stage until you reach third stage. If you do it correctly and yet you fail the third stage like I did, you will still unlock the item for that achievement.
The last achievement has the lack of example but it tells you that you're supposed to obtain the EX Score of 623 in any song with the Mirror activated. I think like it's going to be a tough one to get.
So far, I already achieved three or perhaps four of them and I still have yet to achieve the remainings but even then, the number of Tran Medals is still far from 100+ if I want to unlock the certain songs from Tricoro.
Lastly, in April 7th, we'll be back to using coin insertion again. It's going to sound like an issue to me personally because back then, there were some mechanical problems from inserting coins at the arcades but here, it's going to be kind of super-worse just because those games from Konami are rhythm games. Good news is that there is some sort of price decrease but better still, I prefer using cards as coin insertion replacement. You know, I fear that the same gaming disaster from the past will haunt many of the arcades this year through traditional way to start those games with coins.

Project Diva F 2nd Obtained!

Okay, I bought this game yesterday night after there were additional copies of it in stock that night and some customers already bought it before night. Also, that cost like $88 once the game was out. Well, I don't want to annoy anyone like that but I have been embarassed to mention out these things like this game and other stuffs I want to buy and support.
Nowadays, most of the Vocaloid songs in the arcade rhythm games are rock-based and especially for the ones in Project Diva F 2nd. In addition, certain songs that will be in this game already made it to other rhythm games before the game's release. Hmm, be it Maimai Green Plus, Sound Voltex II, or whatever. They are obviously licensed Exit Tunes songs but they should be listed as Vocaloid songs as well as not all Exit Tunes songs are Vocaloid songs actually so there's such a Category you can see in rhythm games in the arcades nowadays. You see the Exit Tunes, Vocaloid, Originals, Touhou Arrangements, etc. Speaking of Originals, we surely prefer the ones from Bemani games alot but for Vocaloid songs in rhythm games nowadays in the arcades, there may be tons of them in stores to play as if they were already our first reasons to play Maimai and Sound Voltex.
The music videos for the existing songs from the previous Project Diva games are remade with multiple endings and the intro video has those hovering stuffs that look like the ones from BTTF II. Yes, this is where you can compare those to the ones from BTTF II, not the ones from ***** Free Riders as that game is really terrible to me. The main menu is for some reason a futuristic/digital/cyber move in this game compared to previous Project Diva games. You move around with the touchscreen or D-Pad and 'the interactivity works'.
Plus, in AR Mode for the Vita version, you can have the Vocaloid character to perform in front of you. With all those improvements, it may look like a strange move to us as you may look like a freaking producer watching that character perform in front of you while you're holding your device. Also, the W scratch note is another strange one. You're supposed to slide the screen the same way you press the corresponding buttons from both sides at the same time to do the Arrow notes.
In the prequel, the song list kind of falls short until the DLC popped up that increased the song list but it wasn't that enough until this game was recently released which has 40 songs in total. Now that meets the 39-song objective but then, there should be more songs after the game's release if we want this next generation Project Diva series to be on par with the previous one.
The bottom-line, this series is a must buy for fans of the Vocaloid technology like us

Pac-Man Museum Obtained!

OK, this may be another recent purchase from Xbox Live Marketplace. Certain of which in this compilation are already damn hard. Pac-Man Arrangement on the other hand is freaking pixellated. Pac-Man Battle Royale is much funner in the arcades and mobile devices than on the home console. Pac-Attack doesn't seem to be using emulation whatsoever so the screen fading is damn smooth.

Darius Burst SP Obtained

OK, the ITunes Gift Cards popped up at Challenger stores that I decided to buy one so that I can buy the apps for my IOS device. Unfortunately, the newer ones are not likely to be compatible with it as if I need the new IOS device. It may be the similar story for your Android devices and even the Windows ones if you want to access the future apps.
The Burst Counter feature works easily by using the Burst Beam at the enemy's Burst Beam. You have to unleash it after the enemy unleashes its own to do the Burst Counter. I found that tricky to do so on the PSP version but it is easily done on the arcade and smartphone versions. Other differences include the game endings, the bosses and music but they are not quite major compared to the arcade version which is extremely major in differences.
Perhaps I'll try to video capture the zones with different music in this version so that people can know what the SP mode is like.
The only disadvantage is that the mini burst feature is missing in this version which can be difficult in some of the boss battles. It can be useful against things that increase the burst guage quickly at the same time like what the PSP and arcade versions have but no, you DO get the normal burst which takes up the burst guage much quicker. There may be choppiness due to so many things on screen at once but for the arcade version, I'm sure that there may be slowdowns due to how extremely over-wide the HD resolution is. Perhaps, there should be Super Darius Burst Another Chronicle for Taito Type X3 with next generation graphics and better hardware tolerance as well as Nesica X Live support in the future.

Busybody Google?

While we understand the situation that caused Microsoft to make a warrantless controversial search through the Hotmail service for Windows 8 leaks, it seemed that Google is either a busybody to Microsoft or a reasonless betrayal to their users. It's more like COMPLETE BULLSHIT TO THE CUSTOMERS due to the stupid and warrantless search through the Gmail services just for STUPID ADS!
OK, well, are we gonna bash on Gmail besides Google Plus for this recent busybody-like bullshit? If they are really busybody at Microsoft with no real fucking case investigation to whatever real situation whatsoever, then it appears that this is more or less the stupid technical idea we have ever seen.

Google Compute Engine supporting Windows Server 2008 R2

An unheard competitor to Windows Azure, Amazon EC2 or whatever that is and so on, they are planning to support Windows Server 2008 R2 virtual machines in addition to reducing pricing and discounts for the cloud services. Others include Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage and BigQuery. Also, Google has announced that there will be limited preview of Windows Server 2008 R2 virtual machiens for the consumers. Other OSes such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server will be available at the later time. We can probably assume that its competitors also support Linux OSes such as Ubuntu being compatible with Windows Azure, System Center, etc. for example.
Now, you have to know that such kinds of cloud services like this are for businesses and not personal use friendly so behave yourself online and know the business-friendly-only technologies when it comes to commenting about them. We don't want to see anyone taking them for general failures in the stupid way.

Facebook to acquire the company behind Oculus Rift VR

You know what, back then, the virtual reality thingy was a failure for video games in the past like it didn't do any useful enhancements for the existing game consoles in the past. Also, the Virtual Boy was another flop as it was like the eye damager or something. You get the non-detachable glass as part of the console and the screen and the hardware are damn small like the console is shaped like a freaking tripod. Do you place your smartphone on the tripod and try to play games with the 3D glasses worn? Well, that was like the stupid structure for the game console like the Virtual Boy back then.
And now, it seems that Facebook is trying to acquire the company behind the Oculus Rift VR which is going to be the accessory for Playstation 4. Maybe this setup is going to be like what the Virtual Boy setup was like except that the screen is big and better and the modern gaming technology is modern. The major disadvantage is obviously the 3D stereoscopic setup. I expect that when you move in different angle in front of the 3D TV, the angle of the scene should change in front of you. But how the hell can that setup be mixed with Virtual Reality? You think that the TV is like a freaking gate to the video game reality? There's also the standard 3D stereoscopic setup where the screen is divided into two parts with dfiferent viewing angles but I don't think that is the better point for technologies like all these.
I can guarantee that the only mess from Facebook is their intrusion and plan to purchase and collaborate with the company behind the upcoming third-party Playstation 4 accessory. You may be better off playing the game consoles with 3D completely turned the fuck off!

More Lumia reveals in April 2nd at press event

Tomorrow, Microsoft will be planning to reveal tons of their stuffs at the press conference at San Franscisco such as Office for Ipad, Windows Phone 8.1 stuffs, etc. Do note somehow that this press conference is held separately from the BUILD developer conference which is another event Microsoft is involved. Speaking of more Lumia reveals, those upcoming smartphones will be using Windows Phone 8.1 and we already have lots of anticipations for the upcoming Windows Phone updates like this and especially for more upcoming mobile devices coming this year. Certain of which were announced at the previous event like the MWC.

GalleryNext beta from Cyangenmod

A Roku device should be something you should try when using the next GalleryNext beta update that allows support of streaming pictures to it. The development was on hold since late January which was a few months ago. Nearly after two months, the software eventually received the update. We don't know why the development was on hold.
For this update, it has support for the followings:
  • Better scrolling and load times
  • Support for Delete and Undo on both local and cloud
  • Chromecast and Roku support
  • Better integration with image editors
  • DeepZoom support
  • Other updates
  • Push the photos from the device running the app or the cloud service provider to the TV connected to Chromecast or Roku
And of course, the Photowall experiment from Google is obviously more interesting than this in general but for the sake of security, you may want to try out this upcoming product on Cyangenmod and you should have the Roku device. I don't know much about Roku devices compared to Chromecast which is the Android TV device.

Apple with Comcast

NO, DO NOT APPLY ANY SUBSCRIPTION TO COMCAST after the death of Net Neutrality in the US! You should be better off with other ISPs if you want to use Apple TV with it. Not to mention that Comcast had recently merged with Time Warner Cable which is currently awaiting approval and that we must stop that from happening. This is an absolute bullshit collaboration compared to what Microsoft was planning with Xbox TV service for Xbox One! Is Apple lying about protecting their customers from the spying agencies or something?
Perhaps you may be better off with the other standard Set-Top Boxes and other ISPs to play fucking safe!

Beatmania IIDX Gameplay Report - March 23

Yesterday, I unlocked and cleared Close The World and today, I did the same to Ancient Scapes. Both of these songs were parts of SPADA Leggendaria and at Level 10 Hyper which are more difficult in the first place so I Easy-Cleared them with Auto Scratch On until I can figure more things out with the controls. I may be more used to the controls than before provided that the turntable quality is good enough.
Also, I had Normal-Cleared a bunch of songs this time from Level 9 and below which might have fulfilled the other players' questions when I told the Facebook Group regarding the skill improvement the last time. However, the real bastard was that I couldn't clear V in Hyper in the actual IIDX game.

Warrantless search through Hotmail

OK, I might have stopped using my Microsoft account for the blogs but this leakage, Alex Kibkalo, is like the garbage in knowing the security and privacy that he leaked the fuck out of Windows 8 codes. It is truly unreasonable and unforgivable when Microsoft did not go against the customers with their Windows 8 product in terms of privacy thingy. Sure, the Kinect 2.0 device will not be used against privacy as Microsoft swore because they're already pledging to protect their customers by encrypting their services.
It might be wrong to leak out the products that were still in development but Alex had the guts to verify with Microsoft using the same account owned by the company to see if things were genuine before he leaked the fuck out of them.
Keygen is something Microsoft feared as it might be expensive to patch that it could result in millions in lost revenue.
Sure, Microsoft had looked through the accounts in Hotmail service to find the source of the leaks but it was wrong to start the investigation like that technically without the warrant.
Next was that Alex Kibkalo was recently working in another company but they didn't know about the damages done to Microsoft until he was then suspended from his current job. Not only were the Windows 8 codes leaked but also the Microsoft Activation Server SDK which would open doors to piracy. Speaking of that company he was working at, it is about selling virtualization products based on Hyper-V. Of course, the pre-release leaks are like everywhere and Microsoft is trying to take down sites that contain those leaks.
You know, I had already blogged about the Windows 8 stuffs back then based on the articles from Building Windows 8 website, but I guess that this is obviously too late to undo the damages done to Microsoft.

Beatmania IIDX and Sound Voltex Gameplay Report - March 22

This time is the major progress and skill improvement update from me regarding Beatmania IIDX and Sound Voltex. First of all, TAG's birthday is coming soon next week so I played his songs according to what was said from the birthday event page. Re:GENERATION is one of the Weekly Songs you can get the Tran Medal like I already attempted. In addition, I'm getting more used to the controls even for the machine on the right with the LCD monitor. Perhaps, they might have repaired the turntable mechanism or something or maybe it was my playing that was really terrible back then. Also, I'm in 2nd Dan in Beatmania IIDX although the first song, Monkey Dance, is the pain in the ass and the other songs in the set have four white notes along with the turntable note scrolling in the same line simultaneously that I might have some problems figuring out.
Now, for Sound Voltex, it is still difficult to clear Level 12 songs or something but when browsing through the Skill Analyzer sets round by round, I figured that I could try Level 4 Set from Round 8 and eventually I cleared it. The second song was kind of confusing though although it was at Level 11 Advanced difficulty from that set.
Lastly, there was some announcement from Konami that Super Star Mitsuru is back so we're going to wait if there will be more songs from him or not.

IPv6 Essentials Webinar in March 21

This one's a different webinar but with the same topic. It had some demos about how the IPv6 information is shown in the command prompt. Not to mention the useful cheat sheet we obtained from the webinar so that you can use it to set up your network with IPv6 addresses. From the cheat sheet, there may be multiple classes and different kinds of IPv6 addresses as well as the fact that the address is divided into two parts. In addition, some parts of the MAC address are middle parts of the IPv6 address. And that gives you the EUI-64 Interface ID. There are also other types of Interface IDs for whatever kinds of IPv6 network setup you want such as the Stateful or Stateless DHCPv6 setup for example.
However, there's something I may be interested to know about having IPv6 address Interface ID with some privacy features such as RFC 4941. Also, what the webinar mentioned as well was the cloning. Just like Sysprep or whatever to remove duplicate information for cloning images or whatever in case you need to use the same image on many computers as part of the deployment process, the DUID thingy should be removed if you want to clone the Windows client by manual removal in Registry Editor.
Lastly, there are useful resources from the Book List in which I still have yet to access them but then, the webinars and workshops are more of the educational events from Gogotraining and I don't know if there will be online courses to study at that website similar to what Microsoft Virtual Academy has.

Stolen emails reveal amount of money Microsoft gets from government requests

You know, I may be sick of cyber-intrusion groups like Syrian Electronic Army for instance as they might be the pain in your asses but now, it seems that the emails they stole from Microsoft were about the amount of money the company gets from government requests. Last time, we thought that it might be the stupid way for that group to take such kinds of intrusive actions at Microsoft for the on-going spying thingy when the company actually planned to encrypt their services in the future as we already know of.
Well, if you support those cyber-intrusion groups like SEA, for example, it may be a shame on you like what if you get attacked by them over your rudeness for example. Not to mention the bad things they had already done the last time such as the Playstation Network being cyber-intruded with the customer information being stolen the last time. Nobody knows the actual reason for such kind of actions.

Twitter banned in Turkey

OK, the internet freedom already ended last time in Turkey with its own TPP-like bill that already passed recently. Revival of the freedom in Turkey is not going to be an easy thing anyway but there are already workarounds to the cyber-censorship like that as if even the non-Turkish people can use them. So the non-Turkish people who are going to use those tools for privacy protection are likely to be Americans, Europeans and people in some parts of Asia whose privacy is invaded.
Tor is one of these tools for privacy protections but the downsides are that some of the addons do too much in privacy protections as if they block most of the functional contents on the popular websites you want to browse with that web browser and the tool is being used by bad guys in addition to good guys. It may be a problem trying to capture bad guys like that when Tor is like protecting everyone. Not to mention that the users in Turkey are already using it to access Twitter as it was recently banned in a reasonless way but even then, it is one of the services affected by the spying agencies that their users in the western regions have been spied. The workaround for Turkey users using Twitter is with the SMS assigned by Twitter but the safest way will be to use the SMS software provided by third-party company on Cyangenmod for various Android devices that support that custom OS. Another workaround will be to use Google DNS but forget about it as Google services are also affected by those spying agencies as well.
Next is OkayFreedomVPN which is the VPN service I've never seen before until today. You can get the free one which is up to 1GB which may be a problem if you're not using paid subscription. It should be useful for users around the globe perhaps for privacy protection purposes.
We don't know what is the true fucking reason for banning Twitter like that but back in 2010, Youtube was banned in Turkey due to some offensive materials which might be the acceptable reason or something but back then, that was some kind of news we never cared about.

DirectX 12 for PC, Xbox One and mobile

At GDC in San Francisco, Microsoft had revealed the DirectX 12 technology for their platforms ranging from PCs, Windows Phones and even Xbox One. Now, how can Xbox One and Windows Phones get the DirectX upgrade when there's some different technical behavior of the Windows Kernel? It is said that there will be performance boost with DirectX 12 but then, it can be backported to Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 when possible to make them even faster.
Intel, AMD, Quadcomm, etc. are developing their new technology that will support DirectX 12 entirely by hardware. The ones today are still using DirectX 10 or 11 but I suggest playing games on the computers with DirectX 11 powered video cards for better performance.
With DirectX 12, the Xbox One will have better features for games and the PC games using DirectX 12 will be able to get the latest generation console level.
For NVIDIA, they have GeForce Titan Black in which you're going to buy that video card in the future for your desktop computer in case of superior future gaming or some hardware problem with your current video card that you may want to replace it.

Maimai Green Plus

Man, I bet that the game must be way too popular that it has been crowded with people playing it as the group but it may still be possible to take turns provided that you have the capability to play it. For the Plus version of this sequel, you get additional enhancements to the gameplay as well as additional ways of sliding on the screen. Also, there are more of the songs that we may like and especially for more Sega X Taito collaboration and Sega X Namco collaboration. Speaking of Sega X Namco collaboration, it is not the first time they have done for this game. The previous one was for Project Diva series though. Maybe I should try to go back to PDA and Bemani games or something but no, I have to play this besides those games.

Facebook security director joins Coinbase

Bitcoin may seem to be in financial trouble due to the bankruptcy of MtGox but it may seem that the other exchange, Coinbase is like taking over the service for international regions. Also, Facebook security director has decided to join Coinbase with the security for Bitcoin and Coinbase as Bitcoin back then was criticized for the lack of security which was already the target for those bad spying agencies in which the service was already attacked. Maybe the use of the service was illegal or something, like it might be used by pirates besides the normal people or maybe there was some technical chaos going on with the service?
And that Coinbase has better secure themselves from even the spying agencies or there won't be any worthy reason to use the Bitcoin service for sure.

Whatsapp's purchase by Facebook causes the loss of privacy

Wow, what the fuck was Facebook thinking like that? Last time, there may be a new feature that tracks your mouse input or whatever on Facebook website and we didn't know if there was a way to turn that off. Now, it looks like Whatsapp and their customers are worried about the loss of privacy in their conversation if the company is bought by Facebook. Also, recently, Whatsapp had the plans to encrypt their service with better security than ever but things are likely to backfire when the company is going to be purchased by Facebook. Based on the previous news about Whatsapp, perhaps, Microsoft can buy Whatsapp for the sake of planned privacy protection extension but what is the point when Microsoft already has Skype. What are people going to use Whatsapp by then?

Huawei's plans for dual-boot smartphone

At this year's CES, it seems that Huawei wanted to transition from ODM to OEM company. They have been known for producing their Android devices and now, it also seems that they are planning to release the dual-boot smartphone that will dual-boot both Windows Phone and Android. It will be available in the second quarter of this year in the US but the carriers and pricing are not confirmed yet.
We don't know if the smartphone dual-boot will be true or not in the future as Google might have some guts to stop this kind of plan of dual-boot from happening and especially when Asus is already planning to release their own tablet device that will dual-boot both Android and Windows.

Gameplay Report at Bugis Virtualand - March 14

Man, I bet that Level 11 is like the highest level I can make past as Level 12 onwards is already that difficult. Sure, I already made past one of Level 12 songs through Skill Analyzer Level 4 but I still failed the Level 4 sets.
Sound Voltex aside, I also made some minor improvements in SHODAN in Beatmania IIDX. Also, between March 10-11, I also managed to unlock some song by simply playing one of DJ Noriken's songs. I tried the same for DJ Genki's songs but I failed. Maybe next time, I'll try to unlock Close The World but I don't know if I'm gonna clear those Level 8-9 songs or not.
Not to mention that the on-going events were already over by the time I'm in this vacation such as the Cafe De Tran, Tri-Wars and so forth so the game of Beatmania IIDX ended after the QPrologue event and there must be some solution to break the rock on the left next to the enemy holding the song.

Better technology rules for privacy needed according to Bill Gates

Seems that Facebook isn't the only one to buy WhatsApp. Other companies like Microsoft and Google, etc are likely to buy that service. Google buying WhatsApp to me is like making things even worse against the privacy as if they may be forced by the spying agenices to insert those stupid vulnerabilities. No, don't let that happen! YouTube was already screwed up with the Content ID claim disaster and the Google Plus is some service nobody uses and buying WhatsApp like that is even worse as if your god-damn Google account is needed.
Speaking of privacy concerns, Bill Gates will need better rules for technology to see which ones are private or public. Also, he may have said that Snowden should have questioned the government about the on-going spying in other ways but what's the point when people think that the government is somewhat part of that spying-saga as well. There may be those working there trying to support the bad bills but there are also those who try to oppose them.
Until the time the super encryption from Microsoft is implemented, you should be trying Telegram instead for secure messaging.

Windows 8.1 Deployment Jump Start

OK, I did have the prerequisites for this Jump Start like I already had the knowledge and experience of Windows Deployment all along through the MVA courses I took. The tools demonstrated so far were System Center Configuration Manager and MDT but it might seem that System Center Configuration Manager was starting to get more complicated to use and especially when you need to correct the task sequences for the sake of Replacement, Refresh and Bare Metal.
Also, the difference between MDT and System Center Configuration Manager was that when the computer boots up to Windows PE through the network, the drivers and other stuffs were loaded into RAM for MDT as if you needed more RAM for that compared to System Center Configuration Manager. The cool thing about SCCM was that you can use the Remote Desktop feature inside it to remotely gain access to the machine you're monitoring as well as to check the report of how many MDT-like tasks have been completed so far. Not to mention that you can make custom UDI Wizard for SCCM but then, that will not be called Zero Touch Install all along.
Lastly, there were way too many people attending this Jump Start including me that certain users were ignored when they asked the questions. Perhaps it was better for me to continue tweeting things about the Jump starts and I got some reply as a result.

Secure SIM service from Vodafone

Angry germans were angry over the privacy invasion and in response to this sort of news, Vodafone is planning to have the encryption plans for the SIM card service that will be used for data communication for its network and will soon expand to the voice communication.
It was said to be possible through the separate smart cards or token but then, it will work by using the PIN and digital signature for encryption through SIM. Is there a reason to use PINs for encryption? That is one of the security weaknesses for using that. In the future, the company will be using the PGP encryption system for the SIM card service.
Also, there will be Secure Call app for Android, IOS and Windows Phone but to make things more secure until then, you may be better off using Secure Call app in Cyangenmod.

Project Diva Arcade Future Tone Gameplay Report - March 10-11

Again, more PDA Future Tone exclusive notecharts in stores for me may mean that I played it like the second Sound Voltex or Sega's equivalent to Sound Voltex. OK, I had already played the prequel before as I was like interested in Project Diva series back then like I wanted to buy those games. So, a few years ago, I eventually got Project Diva Extend on the PSP and tried out and that was like the first Project Diva consumer game I had ever played.
Hmm, I could have played this in March 8 which was the start of the vacation but it was delayed as I still had yet to finish up self-studying the shit out of System Center Configuration Manager which was until March 9 which I was already vacation-ready. It's a shame. And the better contribution to March 9 was to play PDA Future Tone on that day.

Sound Voltex II Gameplay Report - March 10-11

For Skill Analyzer Level 3, I still had yet to complete those sets of songs and I finally attempted most of them today. At least I was able to make it through a couple of Level 10 songs but I don't know if I will be ready for Level 11 songs as such levels like this may be really more difficult than the previous song levels.
Now, the serious problem with my playing surely lies with my timing. It has been way off ever since I played Sound Voltex for the first time compared to having comfortable timing for other rhythm games I played in the arcades. Not to mention that I already have fair timing for Beatmania IIDX thanks to Timing Adjustment feature. I guess that it is absent in Sound Voltex series that I may want that present so that I can play it properly in the future for better grades. Getting the large amount of combos should be the fine thing for Sound Voltex but it cannot be the same for the actual Beatmania IIDX games in the arcades. The worse thing is about GETTING USED to the actual Beatmania IIDX game controller and I forgot how to manage well like that when trying to Non-Assist clear the songs with Auto-Scratch off. I already tried Element of Spada the last vacation in Hyper but I failed.
Anyway, speaking of the last vacation, I might have already solved the disgrace of retardness today after getting fully vacation-ready. But, even then, I still have other stuffs to deal with personally and my playtime of arcade games can be really short.

Namco's Wonder Momo Reboot

One more gaming announcement I forgot to blog about. It's the reboot of the 80s game that was played before in my childhood. I couldn't get past the final stage as I didn't know which weakspot of the final boss was the real weakspot. Also, having to attack that weakspot is not easy even in Wonder mode. The game was damn difficult back then that I wasn't able to complete it.
The reboot of the game is based on the web comic at Shiftylook website where you can read it. The web comic is still on-going and it is based on the original game, if not the reboot of that game itself. The web comic features the new generations of the same characters in addition to the original generations fighting the invaders. Sure, unlike the original game, the invasion is real. Even the original protagonist spent tons of time fighting those invaders back then according to the web comic and after repelling the invasion, she eventually retired. Back to the present, it seems that the original protagonist who is the original Wonder Momo is back, fighting alongside her daughter who is the modern-day version. But be warned, the reboot has dark spoilers as if we may end up comparing this to other animes we know of so we're not gonna tell you what these spoilers are in this blog post.
There's also the animation based on the web comic but there are some downsides. First, the voice-acting for some characters is crap as if the voice-acting is done by some newbies or something. Second, the episode list is incomplete but I don't know if the anime will be on-going or not as if you're better off reading the web comic instead of watching that. Third is the disadvantages taken from the web comic version. The first disadvantage of the reboot is that having unlimited time of Wonder Mode can cause the hero to go as dark as evil as the modern-day Wonder Momo already is at the homeworld of the invaders. Second, there should be an interview or speech introducing the new heroes in addition to the originals. You know, they should let people know about that so that the people can continue supporting them. Third, it's kind of pointless to have a robot version of those hero itself and because of its existence, things are getting out of control that such controversies happen in the comic.
So, back to the reboot game. It is promised to be less difficult than the original game and the graphics are looking cartoonish for sure in next generation. It will be available for PC and Android this year. It has the enemies taken from the web comic and the original game but obviously, the story is based on the web comic so the game is taking place in many real locations unlike the original game which is nothing but a school cultural festival performance playing the same super-hero kind of show.
You can get the original game on PC-Engine or the Wii Virtual Console which uses the arcade version instead as the PC-Engine version is kind of repetitive when it comes to sound-effects. Was there a reason not to put in the voices for PC-Engine version back then when comparing it to the arcade version?

Project 575 for IOS and Playstation Vita

This is another franchise we may be looking forward in addition to Project Diva series. The gameplay may be completely different as we can tell. It's that you have to tap the corresponding buttons when the notes approach down but be careful of the blue notes that in addition to tapping the corresponding buttons, you also have to tap the corresponding sides of the back touchpad of the console. Also, you get parts of the lyrics you have to insert on time but don't insert the wrong ones or the ones in wrong order as you will break the combo. When inserted on time, they will be sung even if you insert the wrong parts or the parts of the lyrics in wrong order. Of course, the results screen will tell you which ones are wrong and which ones are right but you can already know which ones are right or wrong from the bonus during the song. What a difficulty curve of the game if you don't know the Japanese language as if it may be one of the negatives of the game.
Another unncessary feature is the lyric arrangement which may make the lyrics being sung like ridiculous, funny or crap depending on the setup in which you may want the original lyrics even better. You can probably use this feature if you want something funny but don't put in anything offensive in the lyrics. It may be the same for the IOS app. The third downside of the game is that there's a lack of pop idol elements in the game. Instead, it's completely slice of life kind of the game and I don't know what the game ending is like. I may expect some kind of live idol stage in school with two characters performing in this game with some gameplay while retaining the 5-7-5 haiku concept which is interesting as hell.
Just like other rhythm games, not all songs are that great and the best ones are already in the game's soundtrack CD that is being managed by EXIT TUNES. Another interesting thing is that it's a Vocaloid kind of rhythm game by Sega similar to Project Diva series. The IOS app uses the same technology but the thing is, the lyrics have to be entered in 5-7-5 way. Downside of the IOS app is that you can't use both voicebanks at the same time and those voicebanks are IOS exclusive. So if you try to extract them and use them in the Vocaloid software on the computer, that is considered illegal and piracy. Since the game is not on Asian PSN, I'm afraid that there won't be some good chance for me to buy it one day. Maybe I'll check at the game stores to see if that is available. Man, it's like the Playstation Vita is starting to be full of rhythm games besides their exclusives including the popular games made in Japan for that console.

DirectX 12

The next event will be taking place in Game Developers Conference sometime this month with AMD, Intel, NVIDIA and Qualcomm being involved in addition to Microsoft regarding DirectX12. It won't be available until the release of Windows 9 that will be released next year. Personally, I guess that the great educational disaster will arrive to my brain until the release of Windows 10 which can make things even better. It may be a giant disaster for my brain that I may get seriously neglected for using Windows 9 for sure. Maybe I'm skipping that upcoming version until Windows 10 in the future. So basically, I don't have time for anything that uses the power of number 9.

Galaxian 3 Obtained

Now that was some satisfactory from me when I played this compared to Starblade 32-Bit version. What's better is that you get the amount of Photon Laser/Blaster settings to explore with such as the 4 balances like Normal, Power, Rapid and Wide, and the speed of the crosshair. Of course, with those 4 balances you want to choose from, there's no way you can rapidly tap the fire button like that if you're going for Normal, Power or Wide. Perhaps, it may be pointless compared to the arcade version. You can try Rapid, but the downside is that you don't cause so much damage to the enemies quickly. The AI may be there as to require teamwork but rivalry in this game is unnecessary as this is not the way to fight the enemies out to save the day like that when inside the ship that shares the same shield. Sure, you and the other gunners are sharing the same shield that great teamwork is required for survival.
And since this was recently released on PSN, expect shitty movements due to the use of the D-Pad as there's no way you can use other types of controllers for that. For Starblade 32-Bit version, the firing is like crap and there's no way you can rapidly tap the fire button for faster firing rate, and the collision between your laser and the enemy is terrible too. Galaxian 3 for Playstation surely fixes them as if you can tackle the enemies properly and the firing rate is not bad thanks to the amount of Blaster settings available you can choose from before starting the game.
In comparison to the arcade version, you get up to 4 players compared to 6 and the left and right parts of the entire arcade screen are cut off for the console version as seen in the FMV view mode where you can simulate the arcade hardware test in the console version.
Downsides of the game are the unnecessity of rivalry, the lack of autosave and the minor flaws in the FMV for both games.

Facebook to use drones for global internet?

This is one average idea Facebook is going to plan in using drones with internet connection feature for social communication purpose. What if the drones are used for property and privacy intrusion or any other bad things? What if the drones crash or lose range or controls? What if the drones run out of battery power? Are THEY FUCKING AWARE of the consequences if those things are seriously damaged? Who's going to pay for the damages by then? Such things like the ones controlled with your mobile device are expensive for consumers. They can be used for fun with the only connection being the wireless connection that connects to your mobile device but the disadvantage as stated above is regarding the illegal techhnical intrusion.
So, why doesn't every vehicle have its own internet connection? Well, it's also obviously a bad idea as accidents can happen for multi-task attempts by the drivers so the on-board devices MUST NOT be used for games, social communication whatsoever other than the GPS thingy. Of course, usage of Android, IOS or Windows Embedded for those on-board devices may be the cool thing but the security surely has its own downsides.
There's also one similar project which uses Balloons by Google which is either worse or better depending on the kind of balloons with communication devices. Maybe it's the hot-air balloons with the communication devices somewhere inside. Perhaps Google is doing a little bit better than Facebook by then but that project by Google was started in June last year.

Pacman Museum for XBLA, PSN and PC

A few years ago, there was Pacman Battle Royale on the arcades which was the 4-player vs game where you have to munch your opponent's Pacman after munching the large dot that makes yours bigger. The graphics are based on Pacman Champion Edition but the downside is that the arcade hardware is PS2 based although the game itself is widescreen. What were they thinking technically when it came to a recent simple arcade game like that a few years ago? When that game is being part of this game compilation, it is going to look like a joke graphically and especially when it runs at lower resolution unlike Pacman Champion Edition and its DX counterpart. Personally, DX edition is more fun to play but I still have yet to buy the full version of it though.
Other games include Pac Attack Megadrive version Pacman PSP Arrangement and other classic games out there. Damn, that PSP arrangement as if its soundtrack is kind of repetitive compared to Galaga PSP arrangement whose soundtrack is surprisingly good. And of course, why do I have to play that again when I already have Namco Museum Battle Collection on PSP? The graphics are already at the PSP level and they will not look that good to the HD consoles.
Well, that is like two news merged into one. One for Pacman Museum recently released last month and the other regarded Pacman Battle Royale.

Boeing smartphone update (Update: Can be purchasable)

OK, I've gotta be honest this time upon seeing the news about the Boeing smartphone from Yahoo website. The one at Neowin fucking confused me, OK. So, no ranting this time but the article about this at Neowin has to be corrected that I may have to take down my previous blog post about this Boeing smartphone. Those freaking smart-asses at Boeing!
What it does is to do the encryption of various phone services like your calls, stored information, SMSes as well as to feature biometric sensors and satellite transceivers.
The smartphone will be available to the security communities and US defense although I don't know what sort of organizations are when it comes to those. Will the smartphone be in the hands of the privacy's enemies like those spying agencies? It should be available to the customers in the first place in addition to those communities.
So, this is another smartphone you should buy in addition to Blackphone and that ends my good honesty here.

Kinect used for spying in Europe?

You know, the gamers in Europe are going to be more pissed than any other  gamers outside Europe when seeing this terrible news. It doesn't matter where it comes from but for me, I have been looking for new news from Neowin website where I can blog things from. OK, even Microsoft is not happy about this so be glad about their awareness of this happening. Nobody knows about this at first until we see such a news like this today.
From last December, Microsoft had already pledged to encrypt their services against those on-going spying agencies but the plan will take until the end of this year to complete.
The worse thing is that every Xbox One console will come with the Kinect which may be a bad move for me as not all games make use of it. Sure, the new Kinect will not be used for the same bullshit as I can think of but it may seem that things are going to backfire for European gamers in the future. I assume that it doesn't matter which Xbox console you own and especially for whichever Windows version of the Kinect you own as well. If that evil bullshit is going to happen to all the Kinect devices, then WHAT IS THE POINT of buying Kinect for Windows for whatever projects you want? Is there Playstation Camera for Windows? And even then, there isn't ANY tool on PC right now that doesn't support that Playstation's equivalent to Kinect. You expect someone to make a bunch of Playstation Camera Windows drivers for those programs? No! This kind of cyber-spying is COMPLETE BULLSHIT! Is Microsoft already planning to encrypt Xbox Live as well? The fucking hell do I know until we see more of the good news from the company.
If this bullshit keeps going on, then we may be afraid that the sales for Xbox One may backfire for real in the future. At least, when all the bullshit regarding the Xbox One was gone before its launch, the sales of that console would look successful as if the console eventually succeeded just like its predecessor. But now, it may seem that the real fault lies with the spying agencies in UK that Microsoft will have to take some extra cautions when encrypting their services in the future.

Samsung premium S5 in the works

A few days ago at MWC, Samsung had shown their Galaxy S5 as if it were the most anticipated smartphone like many people are using Samsung smartphones but its system specs were nothing special to the future of technology like they looked quite standard to the present. Other anticipated smartphones were Nokia smartphones, smartphones with 4K and Blackphone which is the phone with high security.
Then, there is Project F which is led by the same people behind the Galaxy S and Note series. Project F is about making the premium products while keeping the popular series of products on-going. From ETNews report, there may be plans for 8-core processor along with 2K resolution for the premium S5 smartphones as well as the metallic body which may be somewhat complex to have.
