Watch Dogs PR Stunt Mistakes

Man, what the fucking hell was Ubisoft doing in promoting their game? Sure, ever since the annoucement two years ago, there was a huge amount of excitement coming from the fans of the genre and the company and after the game was delayed until this year, the game was finally released but this kind of promotion they're doing to Ninemsn which is one of Microsoft's news division is WRONG! It's controversial that way that they might have scarred the shit out of Ninemsn that the staffs at Ninemsn made a police report regarding this seriously offensive bullshit! From what was found inside the safe, it's nothing but a copy of the game. The safe eventually started to beep when the staff tried to open it but another bullshit was that another staff received a hang-up message from an unfamiliar phone number. Was that coming from Ubisoft as well? What if that safe really blew up or something?
Eventually, Ubisoft had issused the statement of apology and regret regarding this serious incident but what the hell was the special package all about related to Watch Dogs? At least, they should have promoted the game in good ways, not this regretful mistake! Hell, have they even known what has been going on about the cyber-privacy invasion thing that has been affecting everyone? We may be glad about the YouTube Content ID controversy like even Ubisoft was aware of the situation. Being aware of it as a game company is what will keep your customers and fans safe and sound as well to let them know that YouTube was behind that technical disaster. We don't know if that bullshit is gone or something but we should learn on how to promote our stuffs in a good and interesting way.
Hmm, speaking of Ubisoft, have I played any game published by them? Perhaps time has already told for me.

Firefox Flame phone

Perhaps the Flame phone from Mozilla is like being developed by the beginners at the working since it is probably their first time developing the phones running Firefox OS like that. The specs of that phone are really low-ended and that makes it too inferior compared to the Android phones today. The only positive thing about Firefox OS is the fact that it is one of the open-source alternatives to Android. Maybe you should have bought the Blackphone instead as its specs are acceptable and it is running the Cyangenmod with high amount of security.

Crimzon Clover for Steam

This one's based on Nesica X Live arcade version similar to what Ikaruga was ported to Steam based on that as well. Ikaruga for Nesica X Live and Steam has additional enhancements as seen in Chapters 3 and 5 as well as the re-changed Game Start screen and the achievements. Crimzon Clover on Nesica X Live has the achievements, improved graphics in HD with newer sprites, as well as new music that isn't heard in the original version when in Unlimited Mode. Other major changes include the game ending, the UI as well as the new fresh Game Start and Title screens. The game ending surely has the simple 3D plane of the sea with some fog effect but other than those simple 3D graphics, the rest is 2D. And of course, the sound effects are changed as well as if the game is going beyond the doujin game quality.
The Steam version has the Training Mode as well as the Novice Mode and other stuffs that are beginner friendly and is based on Nesica X Live version. The trailer was first seen at Stunfest which was the shmup related event that already took place before it was made available for online public viewing via Steam client/website. Lastly, the game resolution. I don't know what the configurations for game resolution are like.
The Steam version of Crimzon Clover will be released sometime in June and be on the lookout for idiotic reviewers out there. We had already seen one doing such a bad review on Ikaruga Steam version and it looked like we might have hated that video.

Public data to be released to handful of scientists and institutions for research

We don't know if we are fascinated by this or not when Twitter is releasing the public data to the handful of scientists and institutions for research projects. What if the data is sent to the bad scientists? Will there may be some sort of evil revenge taken by those scientists? Also, we don't know if this is going to be a bad move or not? The positive side about this movie is that in case someone is suffering from some disease and he has already tweeted things about that, at least, people related to him can know his tweets. However, for the institutions, there are already some schools with bad policies that invade the students' privacy and this can be a serious problem. First, the negative tweets targeting someone or something in schools are likely to be one of the problems but then, such standard educational abuses can be easily investigated by Twitter.

Instagram is banned in Iran over privacy concerns

Maybe someone should make a wish to erase all the cyber-spying from existence or maybe get the cyber-spies imprisoned in all times perhaps to protect the fuck out of people's privacy. So it looked like Iran is probably doing things right in banning various popular websites that are affected by privacy invasions. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and even Instagram are banned in Iran perhaps for this reason.
Unfortunately, the citizens are not the only ones using those websites and services. Even the Ministers, Presidents, etc. are using those websites so trying to ban them just for that reason is not a perfect thing. Why don't you use the popular alternatives to protect your privacy? Why don't you ditch those sites mentioned here? Or perhaps, what are the options of ours to do if we really despise and look down on cyber-spies and other privacy invaders?

Continuous fight over illegal information collection request

OK, it seems that Microsoft is not the only one fighting over illegal information request and that's the good job they're doing but according to their results of last year, about 72000 law enforcement requests were fought over last year. What were the cases of last year? Were they those things that were triggered by the standard-type criminals, or perhaps those things were done by cyber-criminals? Well, even then, the FBI has to take some responsibilities in fighting cyber-criminals without making contact with IT companies to retrieve information about what have the cyber-criminals done. There must be other ways to tackle those bad guys. There should be a standard way of making information based on the cyber-victims' complaints, but the next stage is about finding the information about the attack as well as to find the source through research without any privacy invasion.
And there was a real example about the enterprise customer being targeted by FBI for information search. Was there a warrant in their hands for this? If not, that's privacy invasion and the search like that is considered illegal. Nobody else knows the reason on why is that happening like that but the enterprise customer being targeted is one of the rare cases Microsoft had discovered.
Eventually, Microsoft had won the court battle and in turn, the agency decided to withdraw information request. This is how Microsoft protects their users from illegal information request although the on-going battle against illegal cyber-surveillance is getting strong.

Windows 7 to be used on China government PCs instead of Windows 8

Perhaps security issue with Windows 8 is one of the reasons that it is banned from being used on government computers in China. The response from Microsoft came in after the announcement that the computers can be using Windows 7 instead. Of course, we don't know when will Microsoft fix those security issues for Windows 8 and 8.1 for god-damn real and especially that even the Windows Phone 8 series and Xbox One should have those similar patches as well. Not to mention the embedded edition of Windows 8 which I assume that the similar security issues are still there.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3

Bad news aside, this one's the newly announced product from Microsoft along with other products being announced as well such as Surface Mini. Surface Mini is like Microsoft's answer to the mini Android tablets as well as Ipad Mini. Surface Mini is likely to be making a comeback after some previous reports indicated that Surface Mini was cancelled as it was thought that it won't be a hit. It appears that Surface Mini will still be available sometime in the future despite the fact that it wasn't part of the recent product event from Microsoft.
Surface Pro 3 is like the big thing from Microsoft and it is as large as a normal laptop computer can be. It may look like a competitor to the laptop computers and other 3-in-1 portable computers as well running Windows 8 and 8.1. In addition, it will be sold under multiple plans from Microsoft ranging from 4GB of RAM to 8GB of RAM, i3 to i7 processor, 64GB to 512GB and $799 to $1949 respectively.
Other news involved Adobe's plans to make the interface even larger so that it can be touch friendly but then, such a plan like that can result in a visual disaster like what already happened with Office 2k13 desktop version. I don't know if the new touch-friendly Office version as shown by Microsoft the last time can be much better than that for the tablet devices. But you know what, there should be TRUE MODERN UI versions of those products, not the desktop ones unless you want to do something more advanced with all those legacy functionalities that are available for you.
Surface Pro 3 will be in August in 26 other countries.

Americans' unhappiness with the ISPs

The technical darkness is nearer and darker as if the bandwidth will be much slower and the service is getting more technically cruel than ever. You know what surprises everyone in the globe? Well, it seems that Comcast and Time Warner Cable are obviously two of the worst companies in America we have already seen the news about. We had various rants about Comcast and especially that they are against some freedom the Americans want. It may be one of the reasons on why even Time Warner Cable was affected by the purchase made by Comcast that things are already quite worse so quickly that the satisfactory rate decreases like hell!
However, the positive side of the news seen at Neowin is that the customers are happy about the Iphones and Galaxy series smartphones from Samsung. Shame that the other Android manufacturers are not in the top 10 highest satisfactory list for smartphones in America. The most shameful part is the Windows Phone side in which none of the Lumias phones is listed.

Soundcloud to be bought by Twitter?

Soundcloud is such a popular service for storing original music, remixes, covers and so on which may be dubbed as YouTube Music/YouTube Sound but it seems that Twitter is not giving up in buying the music service company. Their Twitter Music was a failure and it was discontinued in March as if nobody cared for it. With Soundcloud purchased by Twitter, the users may have additional opportunity to attract more users with their music creations, be it the original compositions, remixes or whatever but we don't know if this is acceptable by the users or not.

Snapchat and Amazon - Most serious lack of privacy protection according to EFF

While many major IT companies like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Apple, etc. have six stars according to EFF, there may be offenders even worse than 'Triple-Idiotic ISPs' in the west. OK, I've come up with the term like that which represents AT&T, Verizon and Comcast which may be technically poisonous to your communication and networking systems in addition to your privacy. Another news I forgot to blog about is that Snapchat will be the next company to be bought by Facebook and things are going to get even worse when that happens. Not to mention the true Ubuntu controversy starring the Unity interface with Amazon elements in it but thankfully, you can use other Ubuntu GUIs such as GNOME. Sure, I'm already using Ubuntu although the regular annoyance is that the computer may tend to freeze that I may have to hard-reset it. This may bring us back to the MS-DOS based Windows days in the past where there might be traditional Power and Reset buttons depending on the past computer of yours.
Good news is that Snapchat responses to this serious criticism and they're working on to fix it by enabling high privacy protection level for their customers while they still have some time left before being bought by Facebook.

Twitch to be bought by YouTube?

OK, we might have seen some good news from Microsoft that Google+ is apparently shutting down sometime in the future probably due to the lack of momentum that service has as if the Google bashers at Microsoft are glad or something even if the Scroogled campaign had come to an end recently this year. The campaign was controversial and wrong in the first place back then that it angered Google users but with the arrival of the big news of the on-going cyber-spying thingy ever since June last year, there were already senses being made on this past reason. Another recent reason was that Google and YouTube users were forced to use the Google+ service in which nobody uses as well and it was like a wrong move until today. However, even with Google+ integration and the service itself gone, it doesn't mean things are technically safe. There are still remaining bullshits Google has done including YouTube's controversial change of Content-ID system that have yet to be fixed.
The positive side of Twitch being bought by YouTube is that there will be more momentum than ever with YouTube and Twitch is popular among gamers in which there are tons of gaming videos. Although I don't know if you can transfer the videos you've video-captured with PS4 or Xbox One to the computer so that you can upload them to YouTube besides uploading them to Twitch through the game console. Xbox One already has the YouTube service but I don't know if you can upload the exact same video to YouTube that you have already previously uploaded to Twitch. What about the other gaming platforms? Is this another good reason to use Twitch besides those two consoles?

Shoot Shoot Nitori by Tasogare Frontier

Another Touhou spinoff to be released on the same day Touhou 14.3 was released, this one is horizontal based and as the title suggests, you are playing as Nitori from Touhou 10 - Mountain of Faith. The messy way about powering up in this game is something like from Katamari Damacy where you attract various objects and form a huge ball of them for you to roll. But this one doesn't involve forming a ball shaped group of those objects or any other shape. The objects you take from also do the shooting in whatever angle.

Net Neutrality update for US

OK, the big day had come with the huge amount of open internet and net neutrality supporters out there in the west but things went quite inaccurate for them due to the actions below.
Here, it seems that FCC had voted 3-2 to develop new rules, which allowed the ISPs to maintain solid net access to every web site and service no matter what. But the downside is that they left the option for the some ISPs people know of to allow faster speed for certain services. We don't know if those ISPs will force people to pay higher price for faster speed access with these new rules. Not to mention the minimal speed limit the FCC will want for the ISPs under this new proposal.
Right now, we may be given 60 days or less to think about this proposal and another 57 days for reponses. If we make sure that the real net neutrality happens in the US just like the net neutrality in the europe is going to happen for real in which Microsoft accepts, then this sort of problem will be solved although such as approval like that is going to attack back AT&T, Comcast and Verizon. And of course, nobody sees the point of Comcast this year even if the proposal for real net neutrality passes or fails. So, is net neutrality still alive and kicking in the US? Until the days of responses from FCC, we don't know if that will be saved or not.

Edward Snowden: The Movie?

OK, this is somewhat a controversial idea in making a movie of a whistleblower like that. How about a fucking book or a fucking documentary about him? But a movie of him? HOW? The serious downside of this idea is that there may be fictional characters working at the government agencies we already know of in addition to non-fictional ones working on some bad technologies where they will be eventually leaked by him and he will be on the run after that. Another serious problem is that those agencies may somewhat threaten the ones behind this movie to cancel it. Perhaps, they may be some fears that there may be his successors or whatever in the future. Third controversy is that he's already on the run and his alybss or whatever is not going to last even longer before he gets his ass arrested. And if that's the case, there may be some actor playing the role of that whistleblower which is sacrificing everything in the first place.
The movie is based on the book made by some journalist about the on-going cyber-spying saga but that's not enough that the one behind that book has to make even more chapters of new information. It will be out sometime next year and we don't know if this is going to be a global release. Speaking of global release, it's going to be a forth controversy about the movie. It may be banned in certain countries although it provides the impression that will change the way the movie viewers use the internet. OK, what about those who haven't watched? Will they know something that will require some check-before-change process? OK, Check-Before-Change is some term I have come out with. What this means is that you have to check everything for requirement of change but the downside of this term is that there may be bad changes as well as if this term has been used by many corporations and agencies.
It's not gonna be that great! STOP THAT! Focus on other media ways to protect people online!

Even Tor can be spied?

If you have known about the controversy of the Tor web browser, then it may be one of the reasons on why those agencies are trying to break into the Tor network to track down the criminals. It is true that the web browser has been used by the criminals for various standard criminal activities in addition to the good guys like us so this is one of the controversies out there. At least, the ones behind the Tor technology should have the set up the Terms and Conditions to address this controversy to ensure that it is used by good guys.
Using the various .onion data along with the addons installed in the Tor web browser which are not fucking recommended unless you want to purposely get spied by retaining those addons in Tor web browser, it appears that these are what the spying agencies can do according to the warnings from Microsoft.
And before we have discovered more news like this from Neowin, we already had found something similar to Tor except that it is using Google Chrome. That is Aviator web browser and it comes with Disconnect addon installed by default. However, I may think that the overall security level of Aviator doesn't seem to be as good as Tor web browser.

Technology companies support Net Neutrality

Even the technology companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc. are pissed about FCC's plans to kill off Net Neutrality. Without Net Neutrality, there may be chances that the bad companies in the west like AT&T, Verizon and even the stupidest company of all, Comcast, can do whatever they want to slow down the fucking bandwidth speed of the users while making speed faster on other stuffs and charging the users and the companies for using various services like Netflix or Hulu for example. Not to mention that even the spying agencies may get more power to do whatever bad things they want against the citizens and internet freedom as well.
Previously, the rules on Net Neutrality were stuck down by the court as if the Net Neutrality was dead so this today is like an overkill plan on Net Neutrality as if FCC is like making sure that the Net Neutrality is gone for good that people in America may end up living in the Net Darkness. Yes, it appears that the net is like being conquered there by those bad companies and agency and going on the dark side as if the people there may be unhappy over the privacy invasion.
However, inside the FCC as of today, it appears that even FCC is aware with the new rules that go against the Net Neutrality and that's a good news for us but the business fanboys of AT&T, Verizon and Comcast are the enemies that we may have to deal with as they are the ones making sure that the new rules are in effect starting in less than several days.

Technology companies drifting away from data request

The brave thing is that many of the big IT technology companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo and so on are drifting away from the data requests coming from the government agencies probably due to lots of illegal cyber-surveillance going on even today coming from them that may have annoyed many customers and other companies that they have decided to plan to level-up the security level in even stronger ways. However, such plans like those should be done at the fast and right time if they want to gain some respect from the customers regarding better security for privacy.
The downside of this plan is that the criminals may make use of this security level for illegal activities undetected. When that happens, there should be search warrant like always no matter how hard. What is so difficult about the search warrant ever since the past? A search warrant for investigation is like a firewall exception.

Privacy Badger

OK, I already have the plugins for Firefox like Adblock Edge, Cookie Monster, Disconnect, DuckDuckGo Plus, Ghostery & HTTPS-Everywhere but this one may seem to look like a prototype extra. So, am I getting unnecessary add-ons or what for the sake of higher privacy level? What over-protects you is the NoScript and the other one that prevents whatever request. With those add-ons enabled, you won't be able to go to the popular websites you visit to everyday such as the video sharing sites, social networking sites, etc.
At this level, Privacy Badger is nowhere as good as the add-ons I'm already using for Firefox not because it is at the alpha phase.

The Tech Expo by Harvey Norman

Sure are loads of computers, tablets, earpieces, phones and so on but that's the same IT technological side at The Tech Expo by Harvey Norman but I had discovered other new things there. It ranged from house furnitures mixed with some technology as well as the mosquito trap and the mini-projectors costing $400-700+. Even though the mini projectors are quite tiny, they can be expensive as hell. But do you probably want to buy those projectors so that you can project whatever you want? I may recommend the normal-sized portable projectors for such presentations like that.
And of course, I may have an emergency wish of buying one mosquito trap at any time as needed as those stupid flies have been following me for no reasons.

Sailor Zombie AKB48 Arcade Edition

OK, this is like the weirdest or wackiest idea I have ever seen. Idols from the popular idol group being turned into zombies and you have some weapon to purify them like turning them back to normal? In addition, there may be monsters to deal with with the same weapon and there's some weird/strange rhythm game element in this game. I don't know how the gameplay works on the music side but there should be something to shoot at to the beat.
The gun controller is the freaking ship weapon controller similar to the ones from the previous Namco lightgun games taking place inside the spaceship. What kind of concept/idea is that from Bandai Namco? Were they thinking wrongly or what? Or maybe, you're in the vehicle equipped with those weapons, shooting zombies and driving at the same time? I don't know if this is the flaw or perhaps the good move for me but this licensed game was recently released in the arcades in Japan.
Perhaps the game based on the popular idol group may look quite interesting but this is not the first game Bandai Namco was involved. There were previous games on the PSP and PS Vita about having a date with one of the idols but then, implementing the real life idols in the game like that is not quite easy as if there may be too much of real life graphics and FMVs going on. Perhaps you may be better off communicating with the fictional idols as a producer and that is something Bandai Namco is going in the right direction.

Touhou 14.3 in May 11

Another Touhou spinoff besides the fighting games and Shoot The Bullet series, this one's the Spell Capture kind of game based on the Spell Capture mode in Imperishable Night where you have to capture the spellcards one by one. Each spellcard may take place in each battle and just like Shoot The Bullet series, there may be like tons of Spellcards to deal with.
When you start the game, you can choose whichever kind of bomb-like self-defense you want and then use those self-defenses for survival. I guess that getting hit will fail the scene similar to Shoot The Bullet series.

OnePlus One will be available widely in June

*Sigh* The disappointment is still here with the on-going Invite System but there will be large range of invites making things easier to purchase the phone. The pricing goes from $299 for 16GB and $349 for 64GB model. These phones are likely to be released sometime in May and june with the larger batch of invites. Once the product is widely released in June, there may be less trouble in getting people invited to purchase this device.

Google to stop scanning students' Gmail accounts for ads

Previously, the one behind the Windows 8 leak was already arrested this year as if the email scanning thing from Microsoft was over or something but it seems that Google is finally doing this right this time by stopping scanning students' Gmail accounts for advertisements. I don't know if those are personal or educational but even then, it is twice as better for the company to stop this scanning bullshit! Another bullshit reversal is the fact that Google will stop scanning business and governments' Gmail accounts for the same bullshit as well. What about the normal users like us, huh? What about the encryption of Gmail services like Google is planning? Well, it's going to take time for necessary resources and solutions to fulfill this plan but leaking out the plans can cause the spying agencies to know and then try to make the encryption thingy backfire.
