Megatex in January to February this year

Megatex is back this year but unfortunately, this is not mega enough as it took place in half the hall which was Hall 5B at Singapore Expo and that was it similar to last year’s Megatex IT Show in December. So far, the new discoveries were again the new keyboards from Rangers and this time, they had come up with the smaller keyboard with laptop touchpad on the right. Unfortunately, you can’t even zoom in and out and that’s one of the disadvantages of the device and of course, since those wireless keyboards are powered by either Bluetooth or USB, they should be able to work on computers, tablets and other devices.

One more thing, since the Lunar New Year is coming near next month, the IT Show has been currently broadcasting the LNY music but what the hell was up with the non-Chinese lyrics? Man, this is like imaging that even the foreigners are celebrating the LNY with us, lol.

4K HD TV’s next year in Japan

If the retina display resolutions are not high definition enough to the future, the TVs probably will have even larger resolutions or so fit into one whole screen that may eliminate the pixellation on the TV screen just like other mobile devices are. So far, the cinemas may be having like two full HD projection screens or some sort that you can get even sharper and more pixel perfect HD experience on the 4Kp HD TVs in the future starting next year.

Apparently, they are starting to have the World Cup thing in 4kp HD in July next year that is taking place in Brazil. Rather than using the directed broadcast satellites, they will be using the company communication satellites to do the broadcasting. With the resolution of the live match program so gigantic, can they broadcast such a program like that at higher transmission speed? Later on, this kind of plan will be spread to broadcast satellites for even higher definition TV programs. Of course, most of the TV programs will be blurry by then on the 4k HD TVs even if they are in HD by 720p or perhaps 1080p. Even if you make an HD video that is above 1080p, it can still be that blurry on the 4k HD TVs and this is going to be a huge challenge in the future for today’s technology.

Yukei Seikai Reconstruction

It seems that Sasakure.uk is one of the band members of UK Rampage and the band name surely has some reference to his name and albums. Last year, there was an album consisting of the band’s covers of the respective Vocaloid songs we know of but there are also songs I don’t even know of. It doesn’t matter if the songs are composed by Sasakure.uk or not, it is basically a cover album of the Vocaloid songs. This was released in October last year and there was a concert with their covers being played and at the end of the concert, there was an announcement that some of their songs will be in Jubeat Plus and Reflec Beat Plus. Previously, Jubeat Plus had the Vocaloid songs which were the original versions but with this pack for both games, all the songs are actually the UK Rampage covers. Perhaps, it won’t cause the controversy that way but even then, we can still recognize some of the band members as well as the songs in the pack. Hello Planet and Freely Tomorrow are the known examples if you have played Project Diva series before like I did. Other known examples include Ura Omote Lovers, Senbon Zakura and Strobe Last etc. Perhaps, it is UK Rampage’s intention to put in their covers in Jubeat Plus and Reflec Beat Plus while they had given credits to the original producers. Hell, even Mitchie M already knew that his song is going to be in those two Bemani games on IOS. Also, the music pack was already released recently sometime this month.

Happy Internet Freedom Day in January 18

A day has passed since the Internet Freedom Day and this is gonna be a special report. A year ago, many IT companies including the ones behind the famous blackouts opposed the bad bills we already knew of such as S*** and P*** ever since the discovery of them in December two years ago. But after those bills were dead, there came even more of those governmental stupid-ness of last year and we can predict that more of these will approach us in the future so the fight over the Internet freedom is not over yet. From the email I received from AccessNow, you can lend your voice to the Thunderclap and send a message like I already did but before that, you may need to register your account of course.

Reflec Beat Plus for Iphone

Two years ago, there was an Ipad release of Reflec Beat under Reflec Beat Plus as well as the sequel to the original Reflec Beat known as Reflec Beat Limelight. The Limelight has the colorful and clean look to the interface and it's the same to Reflec Beat Colette. The series features some sort of mascot which is Pastel. The arcade original has the High Definition widescreen resolution that the Ipad itself is losing various vertical pixels like trying to make the game pixel perfect but there are more horizontal pixels than the arcade resolution. Unfortunately, unlike Jubeat Plus, there wasn't an Iphone port of Reflec Beat until the last year's release in which the Ipad version was re-updated with additional stuffs, tweaks and additional song packs. For Iphone 5 version, it is surprisingly looking close to the arcade port but even then, the screen resolution is a little bit smaller.
So there goes the equal enjoyment for Iphone and Ipad users when playing Jubeat Plus and Reflec Beat Plus.

DJ Max Ray Update

Ver 1.04 and 1.05 have 3 song packs each and various fixes. For Ver 1.04, I may think that there's no need to backup and restore your account data just to update the game to the next version while it adds additional 3 song packs while for Ver 1.05 which may be surprising to you, you can preview play the songs similar to TapSonic on IOS before you buy them. In addition, the medal system is changed in Ver 1.05 that you can get the respective three medals depending on how well you play for the number of cleared patterns. However, to get the Rainbow medal, you may need to get the Full Combo clear for all of 9 patterns. The final update of this game of last year was Ver 1.04 and this year, we get the first one of this year which is Ver 1.05.

New DDR by Konami

After the release of DDR X3 last year, it seems that Konami had announced the upcoming DDR game that was location tested last year. We didn't know if this was going to be released last year or so but it turns out that this is going to be this year's release as they had recently released other Bemani games lately last year. Why is this named DDR only again in the arcades? There was already a Wii DDR game simply named DDR as well as the one on the Playstation 3 which is also known as DDR New Moves in the Europe. Okay, tell you what? This year marks the 15th anniversary of franchise so we should call this new DDR game as DDR 15th Anniversary. You can read it out here or in my Wordpress blog just to know that the franchise is celebrating its 15th Anniversary.
The new features include the TAG Play which replaces the Versus Play, the additional of Good Full Combo and other changes. It will have a new cabinet and increased monitor size and the TAG Play requires the synchronized play, sort of like Sega's Maimai where there is some synchronized play with two players. The downside of this upcoming game is that this may be the last one in the arcades with subsequent updates.
DDR 15th Anniversary game will be released sometime in March.

Additional songs to be put in Project Diva F for Playstation 3 by fan request

Starting from the day before Christmas last year to January 15th this year, you can choose which songs to be remade in Project Diva F on the Playstation 3 out of the whole series that were on the PSP. It might be a disappointment that the songs in Project Diva F were less difficult despite the fact that the song list is somewhat new from scratch excluding the tutorial and the AR songs. I had taken one action in the voting process but surprisingly enough, there’s no need to enter your name, address and other personal information if you want to vote on which song you want. Just the location, age and gender will do and there you go.

Going paperless this year

As discovered from Engadget, we had decided to go paperless this year and that there will be no more plans and intentions for printing my stuffs in the future. Concepts, sketches, storyboards and other stuffs will be done digitally and stored on the digital storages.

One of the already familiar technologies is Google Drive from Google in which we can use that for storing whatever documents we can have there but I surely have other cloud storages such as Skydrive, Box, DropBox and even more. Sure, why do we want to write and draws on the paper like materials when we already have the digital documents and why do we need to buy even more printing papers for printing stuffs? Two years ago, I got my ID money wasted on printing my Ipad cover design which was already unnecessary in the first place. Thanks for that stupid waste of my time like that.

Online fax is another useful thing for business in the future as real faxes waste papers and the inks are really expensive for printing stuffs. You can use HelloFax to send 50 pages of fax per month but then, this is for business purposes anyway as there is no reason to use one outside of business and especially when you need to manage your bills online which may be useful when you want to buy stuffs online.

E-Signatures are what you use in the E-mail clients and I hope that you should take some time to come up with one such signature needed for both business and personal use.

Lastly, you can try to create the online expense report as well as to send online invoices and receive payment online. I have no idea what’s with the fifth and sixth features but very soon, we’ll get to use them in business industry to save the environment.

My Top 5 Wordpress blog posts of last year

Welcome to my top 5 Wordpress blog posts of last year. So here are the following top 5s blog posts of this year in my Wordpress Blog:
  • Dodonpachi Maximum and Saidaioujou OST CD - There was an update for Dodonpachi Maximum which included an additional stage, updated Ketsui boss battle BGM, more sound effects and other gameplay tweaks. It also included the Easy Mode in case you find the game as hard as balls even in Normal Mode difficulty and above. The bonus songs in the CD are the arranges of the original Dodonpachi and the image song of Dodonpachi Saidaioujou. This year in Spring, you get to hear the Xbox 360 exclusive BGMs in the Xbox 360 port of Dodonpachi Saidaioujou as well as to see the opening and play as the new Xbox 360 exclusive character. Damn it to the Xbox 360 shmup openings, they look as simple as ever with the gameplay videos as part of the opening. Maybe the opening sequence to today's shmups is unnecessary anyway while the ending sequence may be optional depending on the game like escaping from the exploding enemy fortress with your spaceship.
  • Dodonpachi Saidaioujou OST CD Update
  • Eschatos Arrange OST DLC and Patch - Eschatos may seem to be great but the DLC is somewhat tremendously ignored as if people prefer the fan-made arranges instead. There are other updates that allow Tate mode for Judgment Silversword and Cardinal Sins as well as other patches for this game as well. Stay tuned for this February as Ginga Force will be released from the same creators of Eschatos.
  • Soreyuke Burunyanman for PC and PSP - The PSP version has the extra stage which is already ridiculously hard after the last stage and the third playable character is replaced entirely with a different character to make this game a 17+ compared to the PC version. However, these changes were already too late as things were already controversial between this and Galgun on the Playstation 3 which also had the DLCs taken from this game. However, the text is somewhat too small like that on the PSP version and there are more slowdowns than usual. The Playstation Vita port can fix a thing but it cannot be the same for the contents and graphics that this kind of port will not happen. I imagine that the Playstation 3 port will have even sharper graphics but the third playable character should be taken from the PSP version. You know, you're better off with other games instead of this and Galgun.
  • Calendar App for Windows 8 - Well, I've been using Windows 8 ever since the Developer Preview phase and this year, I may be using Windows Embedded Standard 8 Release Preview which may expire in April compared to Windows 8 prototype versions which may expire this month. What happened to the Metro apps? Well, as I'm still using the Release Preview version, the apps are not functioning anymore like it's a COMPLETE SHAME on Microsoft like that for making this operating system a major development disaster compared to its rival mobile operating systems whose apps are still as functional as ever. If not for the stupid Desktop stuff for tablet users, if EVERYTHING is metro-ized which includes EVERYTHING on desktop mode and Metro mode and if NOT for other bugs, it MIGHT have been a better operating system in the first place.
Stay tuned for more video game contribution stuffs of two years ago, last year and especially next year which may mean games released two years ago, last year and next year will be contributed. Unfortunately, this is already taking me beyond last year to complete the contribution like I still have yet to finish remixing the songs from the games released this year so you get to notice even more of these remixes I'll be doing this year. Lastly, you can click here to see the complete annual Wordpress blog report of this year.

Last message of last year from Free Press

Their project is at the beginning or something in protecting the internet freedom with the new sets of plans of this year so the donation thingy is not over yet. The tax-deductible gift will help power Free Press work in this year to protect free speech online, get everyone connected to affordable internet, stop runaway media consolidation, put diverse voices and perspectives on the airwaves and so on. For me, the online donation is not one of the online things I do but even we as the members of Internet Defense League and other internet freedom organizations will not back down no matter how big the internet threats are in the future starting this year. Anyway, that’s all for last information of last year before entering this year which is the year we’re already just in.
