Caladrius Blaze casual game for mobile devices

For whatever reason to keep the business going, MOSS had decided to make a simple casual game based on Caladrius for mobile devices. You just move the ship left and right and the projectiles are coming downwards from the top of the screen and you simply have to avoid them until you run into something that ends the game. It's kind of way too simple I guess but that is not going to give them tons of money due to how too short the replay value can be. At least, for Donpachin by Cave may offer the proper shmup gameplay but the annoying thing is that the game never ends. It has like endless amounts of levels similar to other casual games by King where there are already hundereds of levels in stores for you so who wants to play such a game with too much levels?
Before Raiden III, IV or any other shmup by MOSS, there were already previous games developed by that company in the 90s and early 2000s and there were already some shmup games developed by that same company in the 90s as well such as Macross Plus shmup for the arcades for example.

Maimai Orange

Even more recent games to blog about and this one recently came out in the arcades with new songs. For me, I don't play Maimai alot as there are already lots of people playing it non-stop for fun at the arcades and it may be same story for the prequels as well. The honest thing is that I had already attempted tons of Vocaloid songs as well as other licensed songs the last time. There might be newer gameplay mechanics in Maimai Green and Plus version and this sequel is going to offer even new stuffs. The game's so popular and fun that many people are eventually playing it non-stop at the arcades but for me, I play the same game two to three times before moving on.

GITADORA Overdrive Guitarfreaks First Play

OK, I was kind of shy to play such kind of rhythm games like this in the first place at least, I managed to outcome the shyness two days ago. Unfortunately, the entire place was completely filled with tons of players hogging everything but I happened to see the same uncle playing this GITADORA like always. I guess that he's a better individual player than me at this but it's rare for him to see me back playing Beatmania IIDX at the arcades.
Even better was that there were some cosplayers out there trying to show off their playing but depending on the intention, it may be a special show off or a normal one. Maybe there should be a list of animes that have some arcade scenes where various rhythm games are shown in action. Of course, as long as we can see some character playing the game, that should be something you should try to mimic at the real life arcades, like playing that specific game that character plays dressed up as that character and then trying to fulfill the same objective by fulfilling various goals from the anime if available, like getting full combo for example. If there's a song from that anime in that rhythm game and that anime has the song in the same game, this should be an opportunity for you. The example will be Connect by Claris on DDR in which its anime already involves the DDR machine playing that song. However, you should take note that not all things can de-fictionalized although there may be other epic real life in-game challenges for the cosplayers dressed up as those characters who play rhythm games in the epic way. However, those challenges are extremely difficult if you're going to take up the challenge like that.
So after sometime watching that uncle play GITADORA, I eventually took a turn in playing GITADORA Guitarfreaks edition myself, only to realize that I needed to get used to the controls of the guitar controller. The pick is kind of weird at first but you're supposed to shift it to both sides like you're strumming it so I had a hard time like that. Another weird thing is that to trigger the game option for adjusting timing, speed and other stuffs similar to the ones in IIDX is that you're supposed to press the purple button to toggle that option but I made the timing adjustment to 4+ as I still need to figure out the new interface which looks uneasy compared to the mobile version which is split up into three gameplay parts and the worse thing is that you won't have much time left trying to adjust all that. The Help button is more like an Info button to me which displays your gameplay information. Unless I adjust the timing correctly, it will still behave like crap on me when trying to play the songs, affecting the grades. I actually got better grades in the mobile version than the one in the arcades but I still need to keep playing the arcade version if I want to unlock the remaining songs from the remaining Collection Mall Volume sets in the mobile version. There are also Volume sets in the arcade version but that is more tedious than in the mobile version which requires additional credits. Better playing, we can care about that later because this is the first time I played Guitarfreaks in the arcade.
As this was the first play, I didn't need to insert coins or anything as stated by the First-Time-Play campaign and although IIDX Pendual recently came out, that doesn't mean I had played IIDX for the first time by playing IIDX Pendual for the first time as I had already played the previous ones. That means, I still had to insert 4 coins to get started in IIDX Pendual for the first time and then migrate my E-Amusement to the latest game, resetting everything. So, keep on rocking until we have enough Gitadrops needed for the remaining Collection Mall Volume sets from the mobile version to unlock the remaining songs so that I can video capture some.

Facebook, Google and Twitter to comply with the Russian censorship law

Now, it may appear that Facebook and Google are really ignorant to the recent Russian law when it comes to allowing only local products and services in lest the nation gets spied by the foreign one for no apparent reason other than the bullshit reason we already know of. While we know that Apple is announcing the increased hardware security for their IOS devices that you will be able to buy the new Iphone 6, Iphone 6 Plus or perhaps the recent Ipod Touch and Ipad models with the new hardware security that will make cyber-spying kind of difficult, it may seem that the censorship in Russia is kind of equivalent to the one in China. The US services, products and manufacturers are kind of ditched in Russia and China or something and if the three companies want to continue business, the Russian user data must be stored in Russian data center, not anywhere eles. It may do better that way but that doesn't end the cyber-spying once and for all.
But the thing is, we already know the Russian antivirus brand but not any other local products there at this moment that there will be more work in Russia than in China as China already has its own local services and products and especially for the stuffs made there.
What about the localized computer hardware components such as the China-branded CPU, GPU as well as the motherboard to call the computer a China-branded-made PC for instance? Besides the China OS in which we anticipate, we may also expect some other Asian-branded OSes as well provided that the OS in China is made from scratch with some new OS technology made in China entirely.

Developing games with Construct 2 Jump Start

Now, before I may start to talk about the topics from this Jump Start, there may be some controversies involving various origins of the game templates. The only controversial thing that kept me from paying attention was probably the clone of that Floppy Bullshit they were making, only to know the fact that the clones with completely original sounds, music and graphics may seem to be okay compared to the original which was kind of terrible that many people including me may want the original creator to be sued, anyway due to the unoriginal, uncredited and reference-less contents put in there. We already know the classic games and it may be the same for those working at the game companies, Microsoft, the companies behind the game creation tools, etc. So, who's to blame then? Well, that should be Doug Nyugen, the creator of that original bullshit I just talked about and I already had some rants about this on my Twitter account. The talks about this may be everywhere in all the modules but the third module was all about making a clone of that bullshit. Again, having to bounce like that non-stop instead of flying is kind of COMPLETELY BULLSHIT to me! Why can't the bird FLY NORMALLY? When you tap, it should fly up and when you're not tapping, it should FLY DOWN! Have you even seen the way Mario flies or swims? YES, WE FUCKING HAVE EVER SINCE OUR CHILDHOOD!
Negatives aside, there are already positives of this event. The first two modules are fine that they teach you how the game is made with various features that are differently common to the features in Game Maker but certain features are easily implemented unlike Game Maker such as the fact that you can have the enemy weapon to fire bullets from the end of the weapon tip and they will still fire from that even when the weapon rotates. Another cool thing is that you can get transparent sprites and background in multiple ways without having to buy the license unlike Game Maker where you have to do so. The rotation of the background and sprite should be easy without needing so much frames and taking so much memory. Again, it's a common thing between Game Maker and Construct 2 but you will need the full version of Game Maker if you want the easy rotation of the sprites. The layout and events are on the middle panes and are similar to rooms and events in Game Maker but be careful, you need to know the limitations of the number of events and layers in Construct 2 and it can pose a challenge to those developing games using it. Next thing is the amount of variables you can adjust on the left pane and some programming elements are needed when it comes to variables and it's a little bit more challenging than in Game Maker when implementing the text in there. For me, I can use the HUD background and then put in some variables as an example in Construct 2 just like in Game Maker without having to put in the strings in there.
The last module is about publishing your games to Windows Store for Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 that requires Visual Studio but if you're publishing games to other platforms, then I'm afraid that this last module is not for you. Not to mention that Windows Store may be notorious for low-quality apps and games compared to the high-quality ones which are the official ones.

Introduction to Programming in Python Jump Start Day 2

It's the second day of the Jump Start that took place two days ago. After the talks about the If and Nested If statements, there came the Lists, file reading, opening and writing along with appending as well as the For and While loops in which I had already done those before in the Coursera course of Python programming last time which was Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python. However, the difference between the course I took and the Jump Start was likely to be the programming tool you're using as well as the way you make use of the other files. From the online progarmming tool I used as part of the Coursera course, the files were pretty much part of the cloud technology but there's no way to access them easily through the File Explorer-like interface where you can look at the folders and files along with the different kinds on the window. Just think of the Windows Explorer or anything similar to that when accessing those kinds of files but I don't think there's such kind of interface at Coursera lest you end up accessing other students' work and then tempering with it using that interface. Another difference is that some of the topics were not common in between this Jump Start and that Coursera course. So, when it came to making use of the external files, writing and appending to files as well as reading them with the use fo the code, I don't think it might be exactly the same kind of coding in that Coursera course.
The last module from the Jump Start was about handling errors. You might have seen the occurance of those errors from the pervious modules and how the errors could have been fixed with the help of the advices and hints that were shown to you throughout the Jump Start. Also, they can be found on the slides which were available for download. But in case you have missed the Jump Start or something, you should be able to jump into it and get the presentations from there at the MVA website provided that it should be available two weeks after it took place live.
Lastly, I still have yet to do the challenges but with the help of that Coursera course I took, it should still be a challenge but I don't know if I can clear those challenges with enough meanings until I try.

Introduction to Programming in Python Jump Start Day 1

OK, I already have some experience in Python programming thanks to Codecademy and Coursera where I took some course related to that and it was a challenge but this Jump Start features everything including what was not taught in that Coursera course. Also, there are already additional challenges to take if I want to attempt from this Jump Start to see if I can use the experience to complete them. Using the latest version of Visual Studio with Python Tools for Visual Studio installed, you should be able to start Python programming straight away just like you do with C# or C++. I already used Visual Studio Express before and it shouldn't be a problem in running the program I wrote as part of the other MVA course.
Now, there's no related course at MVA in Python Programming whatsoever but at least, we got the challenges to do if we accept. It should take me some time to memorize the new concepts from this Jump Start as well as new tips and if you forget, you can check out the documentation on the specific functions such as the variables, if, else if, nested if, boolean operation, Mathematics elements, Print, Input, Quotes and so on. And what was up with the respective sports teams in the Jump Start?
Another thing is the \n along with unncessary triple quotes. Having triple quotes takes up more space a little bit I guess but if you split up the statement into two lines with triple quotes only, the print statement does the same thing as having double quotes and \n in the print statement overall.
The last thing was something I have to memorize completely such as the Date and Time. You can customize the format as well as to specify how many 0s you want with the .format feature. What that does is based on something like this {0:3} for example in which the 0 on the left represents the position which can be determined through the Find function. Other functions include the Count function, Replace function, Upper, Lower and Swap case functions, etc. Using the Count function, it counts like how many things are there based on your specification as well as the Replace function which says it all.
More tips ahead when it comes to variables. They SHOULD NOT start with numbers and that there SHOULDN'T BE SPACING. Also, when using print statements, you should have quotes for whatever text you want to display on the console otherwise, the text will be treated as variable. Any variable that is not found on the code will throw an error. What else can I recall, the Integer, Float, String, %d or something as well as the one where you can specify how many decimal places you want for the Float as there are already too much 0s without that specification.

Beatmania IIDX Pendual First Play (Read notice)

Current notice: I had removed the UI skin concept arts I made in this blog article as well as removed whatever I described about them after I got sickened by some highly disturbing Netflix movie involving non-teen characters as the main characters as well as the disturbing material of Pokemon and Harry Potter stuff done by one of the game writers of the upcoming indie game, Goodbye Volcano High, which is being developed by Ko_Op. There will be no more references to whatever franchise that involves such kinds of characters even if it is family-friendly. I don't want to discover another future controversy like the ones I mentioned at the beginning of the notice. Another thing I removed from this blog post was about plans to arrange additional songs from various Bemani games. Plus, I already changed my plans on how the song arrangement stuff I did for Bemani songs sometime ago starting with Mashup Remix/Deconstruction Remix due to Konami's bad reputation. So, the only kinds of arrangements of Bemani game songs you'll see from my main blog, my YouTube channel and my Soundcloud account are the Mashup Remixes/Deconstruction Remixes of those.

Revised blog post

There should be some more lessons I should learn such as the fact that everything will be reset once you migrate to the next game or the next season. What is intact is the songs you have previously attempted but then, nobody will know the grades and score data by then as the evidence of attempts from the previous games is gone. You have to re-attempt them and any improvements, you can show to your friends or something.
So, I started off with the songs from the latest game but then, there are already so many of them to attempt and it may be the same story for IIDX Tricoro. When will I fulfill this objective of attempting as many songs as possible from IIDX Tricoro and this one? Well, I don't know. I may have other stuffs to deal with that I may be busy with.

Other things I got to mention for updates are that in the Class Mode in Future Phase, the notecharts are all mirrored and that the way we toggle between Present and Future Phases takes a few days so plan carefully on which days you want to play this game.

Xbox One in China update

Due to the previous situations that occured at Microsoft China like their offices raided for unknown reasons probably due to the fact that Microsoft is the US based company and that the entire globe isn't happy about what's going on nowadays like privacy invasion, corruption and so on, it seems that the Xbox One launch was delayed in China. The Playstation 4 that will be launched there should have lesser problems but then, there are already newer conditions once these consoles have been launched.
The different way is that all the games for Xbox One will be released as digital downloads perhaps to reduce piracy or something but the thing is, retail or digital, there is still vulnerability that the game data can still be extracted or something for modification and then the game can be resold like that in China. Another problem is that the retail sales of the games may be really costly compared to digital in which the console gaming in China will do. Perhaps, there should be some different file formats that strengthen the games and protect them from whatever illegal modding so that the games can look as genuine as ever. Last problem is regarding the target audience. Is the game the M game which may feature lots of realistic looking but fictional violence in those games? It may already matter in some other countries where certain games will not be sold there due to indecent contents. There may be some petition to bring those games there but there's no guarantee on how the gamers will be affected in a bad way like that.
Lastly, it seems that the Xbox One will be released in September 29th in China unless some situation kicks in again unexpectedly at Microsoft China that may piss everyone off.

DuckDuckGo blocked in China

Great Firewall of China again! This and the extreme product piracy what are you don't like in China. Perhaps, the genuine products are highly expensive to buy in China and it's already true that import products are already that expensive to buy if you have found ones in your country. This time, it appears that things are getting strict again with the Great Firewall of China that local services are the reasons to get around this problem and they are already that popular in China. Bad news is, DuckDuckGo is the next target to be blocked in China perhaps it may be made in US of course but the next problem is, when will there be a China OS in the future? There are already China made products and especially for the products made there but belong to the US-based manufacturers.
Other US search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing are also blocked in China but you should be able to believe that the Chinese can keep on using the local search engines and services like Baidu, Sina, etc.

Apple Watch - Security of health data

Wait, what? Privacy concerns regarding health data in the tiny mobile devices like the Apple Watch? Good concern but what about the fucking Android Wear and other mobile devices that hold the health records, then? And what is Google doing nowadays to their customers when it comes to security?
In fact, it may seem that the Attorney General is concerned about this but we don't know what is his motive when it comes to privacy implementations. Will that fix the fact that the Apple Watch won't betray customers like what the Xbox One Kinect promises not to? If that device is not going to betray the hell out of you thanks to his motives, perhaps, that's the good thing for him but then, there are already controversies caused by this upcoming device similar to the controversies of the Xbox One console and its Kinect.
That is the first controversy of this upcoming Apple iWatch but the second one results in the possibility of the accident due to so much distraction caused by it while driving. The same controversy can also happen to Android Wear and the embedded Android Car technology, if not, the other smartwatches as well. Maybe whatever smartwatch should be BANNED IN VEHICLES for the drivers! And of course, we don't know how the embedded Android car devices will work without causing whatever accidents. They may be twice as worse than smartwatches alone since you will need your Android device to be connected to those devices.

Funan DigitalLife Mall

Man, it's like you get to explore TONS OF IT THINGS there! From the inside, it's full of various Challenger, Courts, Valore, computer manufacturer shops and other shops where you can take a look at various computers and accessories. There are some other stores where you can buy the replacement computer component like I already bought the replacement AC power adapter for my laptop as well as to get your computer device repaired based on the situation. Other places include the gaming shops as well as the shops where you can buy tons of figures. The figures I'm gonna buy for the sake of geekiness will be the ones from Good Smile Company such as the Figma and Nendoroid figures but where I do place them in the safe place in my home because every year the Lunar New Year takes place at my home, I'm sure my nieces will be coming in? The real fear of vulnerability for buying those figures is that my nieces will end up tempering with them thinking that those figures are child's toys due to the fact the parts of the figures can be attached, detached and even swapped. It is my responsibility to keep those figures I bought in the safe place lest I lose anything all because of those stupid mess-ups those nieces are going to do and especially for those unusual bitchy morons at my home who can try to offend me again by messing with my stuffs. There may be some shelves containing my stuffs but then, placing my figures there is like getting them tempered with by my nieces.
And of course, I was kind of surprised to hear Tell Your World in one of the gaming shops and the Xbox One console and the controllers were already there even before the console is officially out. They might have taken the console from some western country and the feel of the buttons is getting more clicky with the D-Pad looking quite classic.

New laptop AC adapter obtained

This kind of problem regarding the laptop AC adapter was something I had encountered in my life. It's annoying and the adapter short circuits at will at anytime it wants. I already knew that something was kind of loose on power cord and it might be the reason that I knew the culprit behind the problem. So, I went to Funan DigitalLife Mall at City Hall and found some shop where I bought the new laptop AC adapter that matched the power specifications I wrote down on my digital notes. After buying that, I eventually asked the shop-keeper about the technical concerns for custom PCs such as incorrect setup plan for example. If you're going for advanced gaming, you will need an even more powerful motherboard and the CPU, GPU and other stuffs should be part of the motherboard you're assembling at. I'm sure they have already tested one by one before sending those components to the customers because any incorrect setup during gaming is going to cause some annoying problems.
It may be a shame on online maps such as Google Maps for giving me confusingly inaccurate paths to specific places like Funan DigitalLife Mall but thankfully, there was some place list somewhere with the arrow indicating on where to go and based on the map I researched, I eventually reached that place.

IPv6 Multicasting by Dr. Chip

It was good to see him again ever since the IPv6 Essentials webinar he organized online the last time and the recent but different version of IPv6 Essentials webinar contained the involvement of nephos6 which is some other language for Cloud 6. This is some company he's working at and you can take some courses of IPv6 from there. Unfortunately, this is gonna be a tough kind of topic that I can barely understand even with the fundamental and essential level of IPv6. Perhaps, things look complicated and new to understand compared to IPv4 which I had already learnt back then but this is more or less the future technology and so far, I had already memorized so much of Windows OS Deployment with various tools. The tools I successfully used so far were the MDT, Windows ADK, etc. but I still ran into some learning problems like the network connectivity didn't work when it came to OS deployment through that so I did the local deployment with the custom ISO image to do the job but then, it seemed that I needed to activate the evaluation or something so that I could try the test OS for 90 days.
Since it's an online event, there may be possibility that I knew little things about IPv6 in technical details but this time, we got to know more things about Multicasting with IPv6 which is one of the most important methods of network communication. I believe that broadcast is of no more for IPv6 and the Anycast is the nearest version of Unicast. Like IPv4, the multicasting targets the multiple hosts in the group but not all depending on the content they are streaming from. Like the other methods of transmitting packets around the network, there may be multiple routes, hops, etc. like trying to reach the specific target hosts but you won't know where the packets are coming from at first. And if you don't know the basic and standard networking concepts, you will face deeper trouble like trying to understand IPv6.
Unlike IPv4, IPv6 opens doors to more networking types on the IP address such as link-local, site, organization and global. Obviously, all I got was like the link-local for IPv6 addresses back then and the public ones were what I didn't understand and know of back then when I gained IPv6 internet access. There are also multiple sources of where you get the IP address from.
From the ipconfig command, you can see the temporary IPv6 address and link-local in addition to the IPv4 addressing information. Plus, there are various terms of multicasting and this was where it will require taking some online courses of IPv6 through nephos6 if I want to understand more.

Beatmania IIDX 22 Pendual

Several days from now and the sequel will be released! Beatmania IIDX 22 Pendual features two UI types, the light that is called the present which looks kind of gothical in the light way and the dark that is called the future which looks like the mix of futuristic and dark gothic. The information here is not finalized until the game's release so the information we have got here is that the UI changes by real time. So when it's daytime, it uses the light side but the downside is that each side has its own songs as if you may end up going to the arcades in the early evening just to play the dark side songs or in the afternoon for the light side. The dark side being called the future is like we're entering the bad future with some gothical and futuristic stuffs being intact as if the future is already conquered with some kind of futuristic darkness. But when it comes to time as the visual theme of the game, it may seem that it is divided into two dimensions, the light and dark side. The dark side is a mix of purple and black while the light side is like completely white. So, what happens after Beatmania IIDX 21 Spada? Have we gone through the freaking time-gate or something?
For the song list, it seems that more recent DJs like P*Light, DJ Noriken, DJ Genki, REDALICE and other J-Core and UK Hardcore related guys will be joining in the game. That also includes the other artists from some popular BMS and doujin communities like OSTER Project, Sasakure.uk, etc. We surely like them and especially for their on-going entries in Sound Voltex series which is kind of popular with tons of Vocaloid, Touhou, originals and Bemani remixes.
There might be location test videos in which at the time, the game was missing various things compared to the final version of the game such as the missing badass door that closes after the Stage Result screen for instance. Other improvements include like each UI has its own UI elements, not two UI sides having common UI elements as seen in the location test videos, the extended judge window similar to other music games where you can extend the timing window in case you go too fast or too slow like it's impossible to get the perfect timing like always. However, that feature is one of the assistances and you may get the Assist Clear once you clear the song with that enabled. There are other elements that adjust the gameplay settings as well. Not to mention that the UI and its motion animations are based on IIDX Spada with modifications such as the Stage Result screen that looks like the one from IIDX Spada.
I can't wait for the game to be out in Asia so that I can attempt as many songs as I can from it! However, I should warn myself about the killer patterns in certain songs regardless of the song levels. I should not choose the same songs as the others play like I already did. That surely made me a jackass the last times.

Internet Explorer 12

OK, what do we have from there? The UI change that will look like Chrome itself and especially that the recent versions of Firefox surely look like it although in Firefox, you can change the UI layout back to the standard one like I already did by including the Menu Bar, Bookmarks Toolbar, etc. The top-left button of course is removed but the recent version of Chrome is like trying to copy the fuck out of Firefox UI by adding the menu on the top-right indicating your Google Account similar to the Account button in Windows Live Movie Maker.
In addition to the UI change, there will be extension support although we don't know if this is gonna be like Chrome and Firefox in 100% as there is like limited extension support for IE today.
You know what pisses us off? The lack of tab animation when opening and closing and there's no way to merge two windows into one by joining the lonely tab from one window into a window with multiple tabs in IE. Also, we don't know what kind of new engine IE 12 is going to have in order to be on par with its rivals.

Xbox games on your browser?

What the hell? This is unspeakably complicated and breaks the purpose of playing console games on the game consoles compared to Steam which is the PC gaming service! Why put in the cloud gaming thingy with the power of Xbox Live service that can be played in the browser? Can you imagine how the browser is accessed in multiple types of devices? Sure, Remote Desktop technology for gaming can be equivalent to Sony's Remote Play for the PSP, PS Vita when connected to PS3 or PS4 but this is not direct remote gaming for Xbox consoles. Xbox Smartglass may or may not use the internet connection to control the Xbox 360 or Xbox One console but I guess that basic local networking should be enough for remote controls. Other than that, it's kind of pointless compared to Remote Play which is a popular move nowdays like you can use your PSP or PS Vita as the second controller or secondary display. It may be before the Wii U existed with similar ideas but the similar ealier idea laid with the DS and 3DS where you can make use of the bottom screen to do easy commands with the touch controls to interact with what goes on the top screen whereelse on the Wii U, you use the Gamepad to do the same thing and the same goes for the Remote Play feature for PS Vita when connected to the PS3 or PS4.
And imagine this for the Xbox side. Having to use mouse and keyboard for Xbox remote gaming purposes is kind of fucking stupid and especially when using the virtual controller on the device running Xbox Smartglass. How complicated this can be? Playing console games on the browser as cloud gaming may spell trouble for the Xbox series consoles themselves! At least, they should use cloud gaming technology for Xbox One by having Xbox 360 games playable on that thing only! That is something Microsoft should do where-else Sony's already planning the Playstation Now service that will allow you to play Playstation 3 games on the Sony Smart TVs, PS4, etc. provided that you have the game controller suited but PS3 games on the Vita and Vita TV? Why can't you use the Remote Play instead to make things easier? Downside is the overall price, of course for the Sony side but for the Xbox side, it may be something Microsoft lacks and especially when there are no portable game consoles produced by them.
But be lucky that this is one of these research experiments conducted by Microsoft and there are other researches done by them to see if one of these can be used. This one's not perfect and the problem that has been keeping people concerned of is the lag when it comes to cloud gaming. The worse thing is that OnLive doesn't have enough interesting games available but turning the Xbox One or the entire Xbox Live service into the next OnLive is a no-no. The only appealing with the use of the cloud gaming is that certain Xbox One games make use of it and that the same technology can be used to contain Xbox 360 games to be played on that console.

Apple Pay

Can Apple do better again? Well, this time, they've come up with a highly secure payment process called the Apple Pay for Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 Plus. If you're using other IOS device, you're out of luck as Apple Pay will be one of the services that will be highly secure. It is said that it won't collect and know whatever you have bought with this service using the dymanic security feature. The only wonder is that if this makes use of your existing credit card that you may need to make use of or this thing is the entire new virtual card where you make use of your Iphone 6 or 6 Plus to buy various things. What the service uses is your Apple account along with TouchID sensor that will be part of Iphone 6 and 6 Plus through the iSight camera.
Unfortunately, when it comes to credit card services, the bad chances for privacy are that certain brands are already privacy-violated without your knowing. Perhaps, you should be better off with the credit card brands not affected by that if you can find one and then add the credit card you've bought or owned straight into your Iphone 6 or Iphone 6 Plus through Apple Pay. The API will be available next month to developers and Apple will be working with various credit card brands including the leading US banks.
Do I have a credit card? No, I never have one in my life but it's already best that we should plan to buy an alternate and safe credit card from the brand that is not privacy-violated. But the bigger problem is that where should your online purchase get smoother with no delays and that the product you're purchasing online should be 100% genuine. What if the website itself is messed up? What if your credit card purchase records get privacy-violated there when buying online? It may sound like another problem but Apple's already dealing with it.
Now, if only the other tech companies can come up with the similar stuffs as Apple's with higher security, THEN, we should be able to use it in the future. Will Google and Facebook technically shut the hell up about data collection we already call it the part of privacy violation? And what else are Apple and Microsoft busy with besides leveling up the security level? What if some fucking idiots try to challenge Apple and Microsoft in the court battle or something like it already happened to Microsoft over privacy protection? What if this all backfires? We must make sure that this kind of plan for higher privacy protection with better encryption for new and existing services should be implemented as soon as possible without backfiring.

Uta Kumi 575 obtained!

Oh man, the soundtrack if not, the song list isn't that great for this game that some of the songs may be memorable. The worse thing is that I may want to know what the rest of the game is like and all the official gameplay videos posted by the ones at Sega behind the game's official YouTube channel are using the Middle version of the songs. However, not all songs are video-posted there like I don't know what the rest of the game is like. The Long version of the songs may be really tough as if you have to know all parts of the songs compared to Middle which consists of first and second varses and choruses. As the difficulty name suggests, the songs may be really long and the notecharts may be somewhat different.
The first thing when you start the game is that the first year of the school starts in May and according to the character profiles, it seems that you start off in the first year but when you check the song list by month, you may have already predicted that it goes from May all the way to April next year. Each month has its own different songs and to proceed to the next month, you are to clear the story along with the Short and Middle versions of the songs.
There's also the arranged lyrics list which consists of the same songs but with different lyrics. It may be an example in the comedy show where the song is sung with some unusual but funny lyrics. Speaking of arranged lyrics, you can also modify the lyrics yourself provided that you have purchased enough input elements from the shop. From there, you can choose whichever words you want to replace specific parts of the lyrics with as well as to change the background and the outfits. Even better is that you can use this editing mode to study the lyrics and the language so that you won't make a mistake in the same song the next time you play it.
For the gameplay, you're supposed to input the right words in the right order on time to the music. If you're too late, that portion will be blank and blank parts won't be sung. The repetitve thing is that blank parts will be replaced with the "lalala" like thingy in the replay. That's right, if there are mistakes you've made in the replay, those things will be there. But if you input the wrong words, the words in wrong order or both, they will still be sung and you won't be penalized for that. The downside for getting around this mistake is the fact that you won't get the highest grade at the end of the song. To get the highest grade like in those videos I mentioned above, you're supposed to get full combo and 100% correct lyrics. Blanks won't be accepted though.
The last thing is that you will need enough Japanese knowledge if you want to play this game or you will end up anyhow playing it without knowing it like you can't seem to know what's going on. I do have some basic knowledge of it probably due to having self-learnt it from various contents seen on the internet but even then, I still end up messing up in this game and that's the tricky part.
For the game itself, you can't obtain it from the Asian PSN store so this one's an import copy and I paid $188 on the Premium Pack edition of this thing. I'm serious about that. It contains the straps which I have no idea how to attach them to the Vita or something as well as the wallet, school identity cards of the two characters and the Vita pouch which looks like some school pencil case or something. They surely look like the all-girls high-school themed accessories which may seem unusual for us to bring them outside as if you want to put in your own identity card inside that wallet from this game which can be kind of weird if you are male. Better still, stick on to using your own wallet and Vita pouch, not the ones from this game unless you're a female.
Perhaps some day, there will be songs from this game to be arranged in longer length. Sure, there were already those I arranged but the length was based on the Middle version of the songs. By then, you will already know that the game songs of this year will be updated.

New Privacy Checkup by Facebook

Ever since three years ago, it seems that we have been privacy violated by Fatbook/Devilbook or whatever name you may want to come up with against Facebook which is the original name. The new Privacy Checkup doesn't seem to be kind of enough or something against this on-going situation but it solves the fact that people have been sharing the private posts on Facebook into publicizing the hell out of them without any consent. With this new Privacy Checkup feature, it should determine which posts of yours are private or not so that nobody else can see them. Obviously, it has been a problem taking place in Facebook pages you haven't liked or the persons you have been following similar to Twitter like you can end up seeing their posts and then sharing some of the interesting ones without consent.
Speaking of Facebook pages, it seems that only the Administrators are able to post something related to the purposes of the pages but even then, there may be useless and spam comments on each post everywhere that they don't have time to take those comments down.

Samsung Gear VR

Talk about limited support for the new Gear VR which is the same mistake as the one from the original Galaxy Gear. This one may seem to be less expensive than the Oculus Rift and it looks like you can buy the Gear VR instead in the first place once it's out as the evil motherfuckers at Facebook are like going to screw up the Oculus Rift with some on-going stupidity of theirs. Sure, many people were interested in the Oculus Rift but then, it seemed that we were not able to drive Facebook away from this technology.
Then, there comes a problem when it comes to limited support for Samsung Galaxy Gear VR, it needs the Galaxy Note 4 to work or it may be completely useless. Useless? That is kind of technically bullshit compared to Oculus Rift! Also, a phone connected to the VR to play games? Well, that's another bullshit Samsung had planned. They should have come up with the PC support for this thing meaning that the Gear VR can be connected to whatever PC to play, not phones or tablets as they may have like limited battery. Also, who wants to wear the Gear VR on the go. Won't that make you look kind of suspicious in public?
Thanks for the more awful technical mistake like people should stick on to alternate VRs similar to the Gear VR and Oculus Rift.

Bullet Soul Infinite Burst obtained!

Bullet Soul Infinite Burst as we know of, is the Black Label equivalent to the original released three years ago. It has all the DLCs included as well as the new mode, new intro, new intro and ending songs as well as the arranged soundtrack. The original soundtrack is still the best by the way in comparison to the arranged soundtrack.
For Burst mode, it is equivalent to the Hyper mode. To gain the Burst gauge, you simply need to destroy the enemies. Simply shooting them before destroying them completely doesn't increase the Burst gauge. Once the gauge is full, you should be able activate the Hyper/Burst mode where you get more powerful firepower along with red medals. The medal system behaves like the one in Dangun Feveron/Fever SOS but the chain reaction is different and fair enough compared to that where scoring is based entirely on medal collection. The only way to activate the bomb is during the Burst mode. But getting hit ends the Burst mode abruptly and costs a life. You cannot activate the bomb in normal mode either.
Other game modes include the Normal mode and Caravan mode from the original Bullet Soul but there are some programming modifications in Infinite Burst edition such as the boss warning screen that flashes before the boss battle although it looks like ass and lazily done.

Opera Mini for Windows Phone & Nokia X2 having Google services

As Nokia was purchased by Microsoft, anything related to Nokia will no longer be Nokia-ish piece by piece. The Nokia Windows Phones have the Nokia Xpress browser in addition to Internet Explorer and that Opera Mini will be the replacement. Also, it seems that the Nokia Android phones were done in a strange way that Microsoft added some Google services on them so that you can obtain more Android apps there while retaining Microsoft services and apps.
I don't know if the Nokia Android phones will be discontinued after various milking done by Microsoft after the acquisition while retaining the Nokia Windows Phones as the active second-party products. After all, having to support Android devices published by Microsoft such as the Nokia Android phones is a strange move like it ruins the competition for us and besides, nobody imagines Google or Apple publishing Windows PCs manufactured and developed by other companies. No! Google supports first-party and third-party Android and Chromebook devices by hardware business, not PCs or Macs. Maybe there should be a Google booth in some IT event that showcases Android and Chromebook devices but not anything else.

Changes at Bugis Junction Virtualand

Sure looks like I went to the arcades again today only to find that the Rhythm Games section is moved to the escalator's left when it moves down and escalator's right when it moves up. In addition, there are other games there that are moved to different locations as well. Perhaps, there may be thoughts that BeatStream or any other arcade games will be arriving there soon once they are out. I don't know if BeatStream will be released in Singapore or not but even then, the gameplay is so fun just like Jubeat, Maimai and Groove Coaster that it may easily result in non-stop hogging. It will be the same for Beatcraft Cyclon for similar gameplay. Certain older games are moved to other locations and you can get up to 400 maximum credits on your card.
The coin mechanism nightmare returns again but the staffs should be able to get things fixed quickly so that people can keep on playing.
So, I made some progress in Sound Voltex again with two Skill Analyzer courses cleared. Last time I played Skill Analyzer mode, I failed one of the sets probably due to the Effector, PHQUASE, who has the killer patterns that will make the songs really hard. Also, I attempted the Event Mode in Groove Coaster only to see that there are three sets of songs so I attempted the Normal/Advanced difficulty set of songs as attempting the Expert one is way too difficult for me.

Sony EX110AP/Li Obtained

The Pokka Pulps earpiece I used was kind of inferior that I could hear other things outside it. And today, it seems that its wire was kind of defective and loose that one of the sides would not get the sound so I bought the new Sony EX110AP/Li earpiece as an urge to continue my personal work on music arrangements as well as to keep on rhythm gaming on the arcades and mobile devices.
The bass seems to be impressive but the volume may be sometimes too loud compared to other previous earpieces I used. The earpiece also has the Smart Key app that is suited for the Xperia phones. Just a press of a button from the earpiece and you get some various controls like controlling the call or the playback.

Gunbird 2 and Sengoku Blade for IOS and Android

The ex-employees of Psikyo might have come back in the new company named Xeronauts which might have published Strikers 1945 Portable on the PSP with slight graphical modification. The explosions in that version may have changed to the classic-ass ones which may seem to be disappointing and the boss music is somewhat missing. The worse thing is that it is based on Strikers 1945 Plus with still cropped vertical parts of the resolution in in which the original Strikers 1945 II version has.
Then moving on to the mobile version of Gunbird 2 and Sengoku Blade which make use of the Kakao Korean social networking service to play the games. The way you start the game is that you get one credit for free but beyond one credit is virtually costly. You can also enhance the gameplay with various mobile version exclusive items like the shield for example that will protect you from enemy attacks.
The disadvantage of these two games on the mobile device is that getting beyond one credit will cost you virtual money so good luck trying to clear them in one-credit if you're damn good enough. Another problem for Sengoku Blade for IOS and Android is that the gameplay resolution is completely stretched to 16:9. Similar issue as the one in Raystorm HD but on the 4:3 mobile devices like the Ipad, the entire game except in-game is squashed in 4:3 format. Originally, the game on the mobile devices is entirely in 16:9. The improvement is that they should add the wallpaper during gameplay for 16:9 devices and not flatten the god-damn non-in-game interface for 4:3 devices. Another problem for Gunbird 2 on IOS and Android is that the arranged music is like crap compared to the original and home console versions of Gunbird 2. What were they thinking when trying to modernize the music for that game?
Gunbird 2 for IOS and Android is known as Gunbird S and Sengoku Blade is simply named as Tengai, the same name for the overseas arcade release.

Otomedius in E-Amusement Cloud

It may be a nice opportunity for the fans of shmups in Japan to play the original Otomedius again in case they don't have the game for the Xbox 360. Being in the E-Amusement Cloud which is arcade gaming on the cloud that is to be played on the web browser that makes use of the Paselis to play. That's right, it uses the freaking Paselis if you want to play and trying to grind like that may take up more money to top up the Paselis in your E-Amusement pass. You will need your E-Amusement account if you want to gain access to the E-Amusement related portions of the game's website as well as to play E-Amusement Cloud games. The only problem is that this service is in Japan only. No Asian version, nothing else. It just makes use of the Paselis, not One Day One Free Play kind of thing unless some idiots may want to eat up your money inside your credit card just to play the games. We have already seen the news of someone eating up his father's credit card money just to buy a bunch of boosts needed to clear the levels in various King games.
The disadvantage of the original Otomedius is that the game is too short due to having four to five overall stages. Darius Burst Another Chronicle has more of these although each run may be short by three-five stages depending on the game mode you're in but at least, certain modes contain the huge amount of replay value that will keep you grinding. However, unlike other games on Taito Type X series systems, that doesn't use the NESYS card whatsoever. The game may keep track on the various amount of challenges cleared by various players in the Chronicle mode. In Otomedius, the more you grind, the more cards representing the weapons you get and the higher the level you get. Try to get the best weapon combination though as the weapon combination in the sequel is kind of inferior. The Platonic Break is inferior compared to Platonic Burst and some of the Platonic Breaks are crap in the sequel. In the original Otomedius, you should be able to use the touch screen or the mouse feature to align the crosshairs on where do you want to attack.
Another problem in the original Otomedius is that it is missing the stages the Gorgeous mode has for extended replay value with the arcade version elements and therefore, the grinding mechanic can be boring if you don't know what you're doing. In fact, you will need the right character with right weapons for right combination for specific stages because making the wrong combination will get your ass kicked.

Touhou Project fan-made games coming to Playstation 4

Apparently, the fan-made Touhou Project games made by other doujin circles are much superior to the actual ones made by ZUN. The graphics are superior, the arranged music is superior and the sound effects are quite doujin-ish. Even the artworks are superior as well but the thing is, will that combination of all of those make the doujin game look like the doujin game in next generation? Comparison between Playstation 2 and 3, the major basic changes people will need to know that the gaming has gone high-definition with 24-Bit True Color display for real. The textures are mostly in 8-Bit, 16-Bit or even 24-Bit but depending on the game, the textures may look sharp or blurry. Not to mention that certain games are already in 1080p and the various Touhou fan-made doujin games are either in HD 24-Bit True Color or SD High-Res Retro style in which we can still see pixellated graphics.
For 3D Touhou fan-made games coming to Playstation 4, you may probably expect the realistic graphics and effects to fit in the next generation gaming quality but the indie games don't have to look like that for the Playstation 4 and especially that the graphical style is looking comical, cartoonish or retro.
For this Playstation 4 Touhou Project, it allows the doujin circles to share their own fan-made creations of Touhou Project games. It may be a long time to buy those games for the Playstation 4 legally as the number of copies of the PC version are quite limited.

Cryptophone series

For smartphones with high security, there are Cryptophone smartphones running Android and Windows Mobile 6.5. The ones running Windows Mobile 6.5 are like not 100% modern technology friendly that they should make the new Cryptophone device running Windows Phone with hardened security. But doing so may make things even worse. Firstly, the core of Windows 8 and 8.1 are already messed up with a bunch of backdoors used for the cyber-spying purposes so security-wise, you may as well avoid them and stick to Windows 7 and below or use other OSes instead if you feel kind of betrayed by Windows 8 and 8.1. In fact, don't even use the Embedded or Server variant either for the sake of security but then, they also contain some new technologies that you may want to look for their alternatives.
The concern coming from Cryptophone is that dozens of fake cell phone towers are discovered throughout US eavesdropping on Android devices. How technically messed up the nation is? Well, it's pretty much way too high and too far but the protection of privacy is just at the beginning with various browser extensions as well as the services with high security that will make eavesdropping and cyber-spying even harder.
The first problem is that the phones are being forced to switch from 4G to 2G mode while technically lying to you that they are still in 4G mode. It's awfully slow and you're better off without Mobile Data thingy on unless you use a god-damn secure phone like the Cryptophone or Blackphone. You can try Cyangenmod on your existing Android device but I don't know if that will help prevent this eavesdropping from happening.
