Avermedia EZRecorder obtained

Hmm, perhaps I could have used a video capture hardware to video capture Android and computer games but it may seem that video capturing computer games through the hardware itself doesn't work or something. However, like other video capture devices used for capturing console games, Avermedia EZRecorder as an affordable video capture device for me takes a video or screenshot of whatever game you have played. But as affordable as this is, it allows for up to 30FPS for videos and that may seem to be a little bit unfortunate if you want 60FPS gameplay videos. There really isn't much else to say about video capture devices like this but I bought it from Funan Digitalife Mall which is more or less a professional and superior shopping complex compared to Sim Lim Square which is notorious for the on-going cheating cases. I can guarantee that the one I bought should be able to work 100% easily but when it comes to IT roadshows at Singapore Expo or Suntec Convention Center, you should be aware that certain booths may originate from Sim Lim Square. But if they also sell the same things at Funan Digitalife Mall besides Sim Lim Square, going to Funan Digitalife Mall is a safer bet.
Other discoveries at Funan Digitalife Mall included the iRig Mix which I'll buy in the future if I can as well as the shop that sells NAS devices which are unspeakably expensive. One interesting thing was that QNAP decided to bring NAS to the next level by offering virtualization and other roles besides the file server role for their NAS devices. You may be right that I thought that the networking performance can be sluggish for home use when it comes to virtualization on the NAS as the host but it turns out that you can use QNAP NAS devices locally by hooking them up to the TV or monitor for better performance. How do you use them locally with keyboard and mouse? I have no clue. Also, the shopkeepers mentioned to me that I should use 10Gbps of network connection for network use of QNAP NAS devices if I wanted better networking performance for virtualization but other than that, the NAS devices are normally for storing your stuffs through network connection.

Apple concerned over Investigatory Powers Bill

Braovs to Facebook and other US tech companies who supported the controversial bill that recently passed in the US which finally extended the illegal cyber spying stuff they thought that there would really be true security but that was not the case for tech companies like Apple, Microsoft, etc. that kept on opposing it every since the past times and now, it looks like the similar bill that will do the same thing by allowing access to people's metadata or whatever in the UK. Pretty much Apple has been concerned about how illegal cyber spying is. Privacy advocates had prepared sufficient efforts to combat bills that contain illegal actions and purposes done to the cyber-security but what about te****ism then? Do we despise ter***ism besides privacy violation? Sure, we despise ter***ism a little bit even more than privacy violation.
The new legislation is aimed at providing more transparency and accountability for the authorities but this is where many tech companies like Apple may get concerned of. Will they provide the same cyber-security level for the citizens without the need for tech companies to provide their own? Such a controversial bill in the US like I mentioned in the previous paragraph is already clashing with the bill that provides real cyber security and this has been getting out of hand when conflicting things pass like that with no real workarounds. It was kind of inexcusable not to realize the real flaws of a bill like that by signing stuffs without even realizing the mistake and letting it pass unnoticed. I can assume that they had already checked for mistakes or something before beginning a voting section to determine if the bill will be approved or rejected. Last time, the real Net Neutrality was passed with real respectful efforts of the privacy advocates and tech companies in the US like everything was checked before approval but it seemed that the whining US ISPs were unhappy about it that the same battle for the real Net Neutrality restarted again.
And if you think that cyber spying thing is not that something to worry about or important to you that you dare to tell us to stop worrying or something, the bigger shame will come to you should some cyber-criminal does that same spying shit to you as if your private information is known by that criminal regardless of the cyber-security tools you have. But if you know that cyber-spying is illegal along and you have been compromised by some cyber-criminal, that cyber-criminal will be unforgivable.

Phantom Squad the rival of Lizard Squad

I'm really SICK AND TIRED of this cyber-stupidity that has been going on online! Last time, there was a tool run by those idiots that would allow anyone to perform the security breach of whatever website for them and in fact, some of the group members behind the security breaches of Playstation Network and Xbox Live were arrested for that and news about this was everywhere!
And if that's not big and stupid enough, how about the rival group that does the same bullshit in a foolish way? Talk about some idiotic group that goes against the cyber-reality like there's no such thing as cyber-security when there's already cyber-security embedded in computer technology today. It's just that the cyber-security is not bundled yet and you have to enable it in various software yourself.

Hideo Kojima's Konami-era summary

Bravos to Konami nowadays, it seems that mobile gaming has fried the game developers' minds and made many people even MORE NEGLECTED THAN BEFORE IN EVERYTHING ever since last year or something probably due to the fact that the power of referenceless plagiarism has been running amok starting last year! In fact, this is the RIGHT TIME TO TALK TRASH ABOUT KONAMI FOR WHATEVER MAJOR DAMAGE THEY HAVE DONE! It's like they have lost the power of originality starting last year or something and especially for the fact that they had messed with the famous man behind the Metal Gear franchise! In fact, there were already tons of games released on IOS and Android based on various Konami franchises we know of. Funny thing is, I already played one of those Konami mobile games on my Android device.
The final offense done to Hideo Kojima was that he was barred from receiving the awards for his best work on MGS V The Phantom Pain and that the award was received by some voice actor involved in that game on his behalf. The worse thing is that today's Metal Gear games have removed the famous credit on the front box and all the game descriptions have excluded the mentioning of his full name. Another worse thing is the mobile gaming elements in both console and arcade games today. I'm not joking about arcade games having those elements like drawing out those Appeal Cards for no reasons other than to draw everything and it was inexcusable to announce that Konami is going mobile while leaving other gaming platforms the complete secret.
You know what should be surprising? There are of course songs from the Metal Gear franchise in certain Bemani games but that was the past collaboration in between those two franchises. Also, there are other Konami games Hideo Kojima was involved in the game development as well and especially that he worked on the game engine called the Fox Engine which is used in recent Metal Gear games as well as other Konami games that are not Metal Gear games.
What about the other popular franchises? We don't even know if Konami will continue to work on them for consoles and even Steam in addition to working on the games that are for the arcades. There's also the E-Amusement Cloud service which is the cloud gaming platform and it can be risky to keep on playing those games for that service or something as they use either Pay-To-Play or Monthly Subscription.
Another controversy is that Konami took down videos that mentioned Hideo Kojima and especially for the rant and interview videos that mentioned him. They can pretty much deny whatever damage they have done to their reputation and especially for the fact that they had made life miserable for the employees or something. As if the Konami-era Kojima Productions team was completely isolated from the other teams at the company, they were to work on the Metal Gear games locally and that wide-area communication was disallowed or something. Perhaps this was all done as a way to censor the hell out of Hideo Kojima or some sort.
This month, Hideo Kojima had finally gotten out of Konami and now he's decided to open a new game development business as an independent studio. He may have agreed with Sony to work on a new game for the Playstation 4 in the future as part of the new Kojima Productions studio. Maybe his core team members should migrate to the new Kojima Productions studio when possible like working on a new game like friends or something in gaming heaven. But by working elsewhere, the new experimental games he worked for Konami will be cancelled like the new Silent Hills game or something. I don't know if he can work on a new game that is kind of like the spiritual successor to the Metal Gear franchise just like the one working on the spiritual successor to the Castlevania franchise. What if the properties still belong to Konami?
Perhaps next year, you can say out to the fans of Metal Gear and Bemani franchises that you will absolutely not forgive Konami for the damages they have done to make the fans proud. Of course, don't say it directly to Konami via some tweets or during the 5th Konami Arcade Championship which will start next month. I guess that if you're a KAC finalist and you say that you won't absolutely forgive Konami to your supporters or something, the company may bar you from taking part in future KACs. It makes various external artists like PHQUASE forgivable for real. Hell, even Naoki Maeda had left Konami two years ago to make new music game at Capcom and some of the songs in that game sound quite similar to the ones you find in Bemani games due to similar composers. Who else will leave Konami to work elsewhere in the future then?

Adblock Plus for Microsoft Edge

At least Microsoft Edge seems to be spared due to various improvements over Internet Explorer and over time with newer builds of Windows 10 but compared to third-party browsers as we use it today, it is still using the most anticipated feature, the extensions. However, even with extension feature available in Microsoft Edge, chances are, not all common extensions are available for it and trying to apply extensions that are for Google Chrome to Microsoft Edge may seem to be a pointless one for me or something.
Adblock Plus will be available for Microsoft Edge but I think that you're already better off with uBlock or uBlock Origin as Adblock Plus takes up so much hardware resources compared to uBlock series addons. Also, there are security plugins that secure every web browser at the system level regardless of whichever web browser you're using. I never knew about this until there were comments about that on that Neowin article about Adblock Plus for Microsoft Edge. It may seem to be effective at the system level but I don't know how will that work for web browsers that are the Modern apps. Also, the bigger problem takes place in Windows 10 Mobile. Is there an ad-blocking app that blocks adwares at the system level for that OS like Adblock Plus does for Android?

Return of Repeat Offender Group, Lizard Squad

Firstly, there was a false article stating that the attackers might have communicated through the Playstation 4 console to plan out something illegal which wasn't completely true as we already know that they made use of Telegram program for that. Unfortunately, that article was spread to other blog sites, news sites and other sites that contained the same false information and in fact, it even added fuel to the fire in the on-going gaming platform war after knowing that false information without knowing the true information which later corrected the mistake in that article. So, such troll comments about this are everywhere on the net including the recent article about Lizard Squad's security breach of Playstation Network service again as seen in Neowin. It's basically another fuel added to the same fire but in a stupid way.
WHAT WERE THOSE IDIOTS DOING ON THE NET AND WHY DID THEY BREACH THE SAME GAMING SERVICES THIS YEAR? We really CAN'T STAND THAT GROUP'S ON-GOING OFFENSIVE STUPIDITY! And if you support that group over that article stated above, then you may be one of the COMPLETE EPIC FAILURES in the gaming world! It's kind of like someone would say to you things like, "That/this system is used by attackers", "You use that stupid system, you're more or less an attacker", "They're full of shit in marketing that system", "They surely are helping those plan the operation with that stupid system", or something like that BUT KNOCK THOSE INAPPROPRIATE NONSENSES OFF! We're adults after all and we don't say those kind of childish crap like those examples above. When you're an adult, you may have the ability to seek some help and solution for whatever stuff you're doing and especially that you'll be using many of the competitive branded products regardless of on-going competition.
And in fact, such a repeated idiotic cyber-attack already landed some idiot behind it in trouble. It's not that the group will organize the perfect hacking lesson online or some sort because it still sounds completely stupid in the first place and nobody will contribute to or anticipate it. Okay, there might be a tool of attraction we had seen last year where there might be external contributors welcome to penetrate some shit for fun or something but it might seem to be part of their stupidity. Also, I've already seen tons of cyber-security news about some corporation's comprising of consumers' information for the sake of advertising through their products/services through the spyware kind of the malware. I can guess what a motive is and it's already pointless saying that people like me don't know how to migrate to this kind of new technology that is as vulnerable as I know it.

Focus by Mozilla

As a solution suggests, it's a third-party ad-blocker from Mozilla for IOS. Unfortunately, compared to third-party browsers like Firefox, it is supported on Safari on IOS. Maybe it is due to some limitations on the IOS that Mozilla is not able to implement the same addon to Firefox on IOS and Apple doesn't support ad-blocking features on third-party web browsers. It does the same thing as private browsing on the desktop version of Firefox does with the same blocklist as Disconnect. Besides Adblock Plus on Safari on IOS, this is another security opportunity for your IOS device running IOS 8 and above.

Tor to be banned in France by French security forces

While having better security is an important thing for the present time against cyber-attacks, you may have to make sure that the system has stable reliability, performance and functionality and this has been the case with Tor technology which uses the VPN from some unknown source that contains a slower bandwidth speed for safe browsing undetected but do you want to browse the net with such an unreliable speed? Even worse is that you can't even check the favorite sites you check in regularly probably due to the Tor browser being overprotective and yet there are baddies still using it undetected despite these problems. It doesn't matter how much improvement the Tor technology is going to have with minor updates, it is still posing a serious challenge in getting those baddies tracked.
There were claims that there were proposals of getting Tor banned in France by French security forces probably due to the serious attacks that took place in Paris last month but the thing is, how to make that proposal a technical thing like calling French ISPs to ban Tor technology technically on every platform including its alternative? There were also claims that those destructive te*******s made use of Tor technology but we don't know if this is true or not. If there are official evidences that Tor technology was used by those attackers, it can ruin the reputation of the company behind the technology in the first place.
What else is surprising is that according to some security expert, Telegram was notorious for false advertising and weak security. Talk about the liar with the biggest foul mouth and brain that stink the MOST! It did some data collection stuff that even Whatsapp users like us became victims of that and trying to find a better alternative to Telegram is a bigger challenge. As if the continuous usage of Telegram by the attackers made Telegram company know about it, the corporation took technical actions against them by taking down their Telegram accounts for illegal actions probably due to the fact above the company was able to track those accounts down. Maybe the encryption was not there at all or something. That was some news you could see in Engadget, Softpedia, etc. and it may be why we still stick on to using Whatsapp and LINE if that's the case as the good people. There are already tons of services and devices with better security you can use but you should be warned but you SHOULD NOT be using them for anything illegal.
I already ranted on the Tor Messenger thing like who the hell wants to use it once it's reached the final stage and you could have gone for better security technology. It's not okay. It defeats the networking performance and reliability, and the functionality of the websites. Even the public Wi-Fi will be inaccessible in affected areas in a state of emergency but there's another problem that goes against the proposal. What if the attackers use the mobile broadband or mobile network instead of public Wi-Fi for that?
It's either a rejection for wrong and incomplete solution or approval for complete and right solution but who knows if one new proposal can be approved like that based on the real situations with sufficient evidence on why do you come up with it.

Sound Voltex III 2nd Season First Play

For whatever reason, the story doesn't end here after various episodes that the second season of Sound Voltex III had recently arrived this month with additional episodes and songs. The second season update has different system BGM, different backgrounds, different title screen and the new intro. Of course, since this was the first play of 2nd season, I eventually knew on what the music was like throughout the entire game as if I was waiting for something. No, I wasn't waiting whatsoever although the time already ticked down to some seconds left by the time I tried to hear the system BGM for a long time.
There may be updates for other rhythm games as well but the main topic will be Sound Voltex topic and the in-game events are sort of tedious and grindy to clear on time. Perhaps, I can try to attempt as many Sound Voltex III songs as I can and trying to unlock those KAC songs has been a tedious thing. Also, the song list in the Track Input section is unspeakably long although there are additional filters this time with 2nd season update such as the Mission related songs, songs attempted by rivals and of course, Favorite songs. I may be sure that Beatmania IIDX today already has the ability to toggle Favorite on for whichever songs you like and it should be the same for SDVX III with this update.
Meanwhile, the 5th KAC had already begun but I still have yet to see what the KAC courses are like for it and needless to say, Level 14 onwards is seriously difficult and so far I cleared some of the Level 14 songs. So am I ready to attempt those songs? No, if there are already Level 15 songs in those courses from Skill Analyzer, I may be out of luck.
There may be officials videos of 5th KAC from Konami's official YouTube account but you are warned that any comments about Konami games not part of KAC such as MGS games for example on those YouTube videos will make you look like a spammer. Don't even try to be stupid enough to think that we are Konami defenders or something like that. We don't know what will happen to Benami and other arcade games next year by the time Windows XP Embedded goes out of support and the controversial music game, Museca comes in the arcades like this month or something. I might have seen the 4th KAC videos of Sound Voltex and surprisingly, Everlasting Message in Gravity difficulty was seriously difficult that nobody can pretty much forgive the one who came out with such a tricky notechart. You can surely dis-forgive him but freakouts at the arcades are not allowed as any freakout from you will get you escorted out of the arcade premises.

Let's Encrypt public beta by EFF

Let's Encrypt by EFF is the web certificate for ensuring that your website stays secure in HTTPS mode. The aim for the website owners is about making things easier in enabling HTTPS support for the website. If you do have the Unix/Linux based OS, you should be able to install this prototype certificate for your website running on the server. Hell, you can also try using this on your Raspberry Pi device as it is running the embedded Unix/Linux based OS as well. Maybe I should be able to find and buy a Raspberry Pi if I can but if that's not found from the retail store, I guess that buying stuffs like that is not an easy thing.

Official PS4 Remote Play for PC and Mac

While the person behind the unofficial PS4 Remote Play app for PC is still in development, it seems that Sony is doing the same thing for their own official version. Who knows if the unofficial one will be discontinued in favor of the official one but it's better to keep using the official one as there may be risks of undesired results for using the unofficial one. While we might have seen the unofficial Remote Play in action, there isn't anything else to say about the official one in details although the official Remote Play will be coming in the future via firmware update.

SITEX 2015 Day One

Creative may be famous for their Sound Blaster products and especially that I knew some of the modern products like the external USB Sound Card and other stuffs that allow you to control the volume and other audio effects. Unfortunately, when it comes to today's products from Creative, it looked like I missed out everything they showed at Singapore Expo. The speakers have their own music player/recorder feature in which you can use the micro-SD card to record and play sounds stored on it. Without the card, the music player/recorder features are kind of pointless. There's also the NFC and Bluetooth support for most of Sound Blaster Roar speakers. I might have technical knowledge about Bluetooh technology like it's a Personal Area Network and it does have a short range of connectivity compared to LAN or even WAN. However, as there were too many Bluetooth interferences there, there might be delays no matter how good and professional the devices are. There were already so much of products that come with wireless/wired control-like devices. The microphone record device I saw was the SoundBlaster R3. It had the volume and reverb control as well as the microphone jack and multiple headphone jacks but the output device was obviously the computer or perhaps, the mobile device. Plus, there is also support for some other features for Sound Blaster Roar series devices. The iRoar has its own wireless microphone device and whenever you speak, the sound also comes out of the iRoar speaker which can be useful for karaoke. However, it may seem that gaming or some other multimedia technology is a true purpose for me if I want to buy those speakers.
Other speakers include the Sound Blaster AXX which may have the same functions as Sound Blaster Roar series but I think I might have seen it on some Japanese YouTuber's video showing him singing out the YouTube theme song with the speaker active, and the X and E series Sound Blaster amplifiers which may look like some docks to me where you can hook up multiple headphone jacks.
Lastly, there are gaming headsets from Creative which still have the same specialty as the other Sound Blaster products as well as other accessories where you can adjust the sound quality in a special technical way.
It was a major shame that I missed out on so much modern Creative products as they are seriously professional and superior. The next roadshow Creative will be involved will be next year's CES and I guess that they will be showing the same stuffs there.
There are multiple gaming booths this time and especially that Acer took the roadshow by surprise by entering the gaming PC market as well. The Aftershock gaming desktop computer which was HyperGate looked completely cased with no optical disk drives and front ports whatsoever from what I saw but on the inside, there were cooling systems cranked that made the computers bulky to carry. Also, you do get the external DVD drive as a compensation should you choose to buy that computer or Aftershock Tremor. The way you turn on the Aftershock Hypergate is due to the fact the that the power button is located at the top which may be unusual in terms of design and it appears that there are way so many ports at the back which can be useful for hooking up multiple monitors for hardcore gaming at the cost of so much electrical power from having multiple graphics cards. Also, there are ports at the top of the case of Hypergate as well where the power button is. Needless to say, Aftershock PC is another local company like Creative Labs is. How did they get involved in the gaming PC market anyway?
There's the Acer gaming tablet whose design is very gaming computer-like. It looks hardcore to say the least for the design but trying to find games that suit this device well is a challenging thing. However, it appears that Acer Predator tablet is not the only gaming tablet out there. There are other gaming tablets if you look up on the net but obviously, on the internal case design part, it seems that the Acer Predator tablet is the only tablet that has special design. I'm NOT talking about the external case where you can attach to your phone or tablet or something, I'm talking about the internal skin of the device. Even if you come up with a gaming tablet case to match that Acer Predator tablet, the quality won't be that best like that unless the case has its own speakers where you can hook it up to the headphone jack. Unfortunately, the Acer Predator tablet is likely to be shown on the second day of SITEX event. Also, according to reviews, the technical specs of the tablet don't seem to be as great as the tablet design itself when compared to other epic Android devices for gaming.
Lastly, I was persuaded to buy the earpiece from Klipsch as if that manufacturer can be 100% trusted due to the fact that their products are seriously superior in sound quality. I tried it and adjusted the computer's volume to 64% and I still can hear the typing sound of the keyboard despite having the output sound.

Raspberry Pi 2 and Zero

Raspberry Pi is the credit-card sized embedded computer system that is useful mostly for developers and engineers where they can program stuffs and run on Raspberry Pi devices but there are other purposes if you're not a developer like turning one device into a media center, server and other stuff you want the Raspberry Pi to act as. The CPU and GPU are obviously different but useful for embedded devices and the OS is whatever Linux based distribution you can run on. There's also the default OS along with default packages for Raspberry Pi devices as well as the hardware addons like the touch screen monitor, casing for the device, breadboard for whatever engineering stuff you want, etc.
Raspberry Pi 2 has support for Sailfish OS, Snappy Ubuntu Core, Windows 10 IOT and the list goes on. The Raspberry Pi devices may be the definition of IOT but speaking of IOT, there may be chances that they may be more vulnerable to cyber-penetration that you may need to find some services or apps to secure the devices.
Unfortunately for Raspberry Pi Zero, although it may be faster than the original Raspberry Pi, as the title suggests, it has some of the features missing from both the original Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi 2 such as the lack of Ethernet port and standard USB ports, and some parts of the system specs are inferior if you compare Raspberry Pi Zero to Raspberry Pi 2.

Unofficial Remote Play for PC that streams Playstation 4 games

Undoubtedly, Xbox One and Playstation 4 have several processor cores that make them so powerful for hardcore console gaming but there are already official workarounds in making console streaming smooth ever since the Playstation 3 era where you can use Playstation Portable or Vita to remotely stream Playstation 3 console through Remote Play and it's the same for streaming Playstation 4 on the Playstation Vita as well using the same method. There was also Remote Play feature for PC that allowed you to stream Playstation 3 games but that was for some Sony-branded computers. Unofficially, there was a similar program for non-Sony-branded computers that allowed you to do the same thing but it may probably defeat the purpose of competition as it may look like an unofficial third-party solution. Those I mentioned above were official methods and it's the same for Xbox App for Windows 10 which is the official streaming method by Microsoft where you can stream Xbox One system on a computer running Windows 10. I guess that your computer must be seriously powerful enough to stream Xbox One system as a Remote Play feature.
Then, there is an unofficial Remote Play feature for PC that allows you to stream Playstation 4 games. However, there are already doubts that Sony will sue the person who's making this feature and besides, it's looking third-party-ish if you ask. There was an Android version which is free but the PC version will be paid which is kind of bullshit. Xperia devices have the official Remote Play feature but mixing console technology with smartphone and tablet technology isn't going to help and Playstation for Android was already a flop that Sony went back to focus on console part which is already a big hit again thanks to Playstation 4 being done right although the Playstation Vita is made a legacy in the West but popular in the East and it is kind of like Sony's version of Saturn or PC-Engine.
Funny thing is, my first discovery about this feature came from Lazy Game Reviews' tweet about it. Perhaps, DOS gaming and classic computers were the reasons I discovered and subscribed to Lazy Game Reviews' YouTube channel but I don't know if I may get interested in playing DOS games one day in the future. There might be some DOS games I played before in my childhood but now, things have changed and somehow, some of the DOS games couldn't even work correctly back then.

Comcast's man-in-the-middle attack as a method of accusing users of copyright infringement

Well, if you live in the US and your family happens to be using Comcast as the US ISP, you already know that you've been having a hard time trying to get things much smoother and more fair but one day, if you're going to relocate to your new home and you know how seriously evil that ISP is, you may have a smart option to choose other ISP instead. If you thought that Verizon's illegal data collection with various smartphone apps and services wasn't bad enough, what about the fact that Comcast has done the man-in-the-middle attack on users with insecure connection that accuses them of copyright infringement? This is obviously the same kind of security breach as the cyber-criminals had done in the past which they demanded the users that users' private information be released or something.
Man-in-the-middle attack is that while you're sending email to the other person for example, the attacker can sneak in and try to modify it before the email is reached to the other person. When that happens, it can pose a cyber-relationship problem between you and that person and it will take time for you to explain the truth that someone has tempered with your email you're sending. The attack can be mitigated with HTTPS connection and nowadays, the search engine websites are already in HTTPS mode so you don't have to worry about that but it's not the same for the other websites and you're going to need HTTPS Everywhere from EFF that forces every website to be in HTTPS mode for secure surfing.
It's such an easy-level cyber-security attack that can be easily prevented but of course, when it comes to on-going cyber-security attacks that will take a long time to get a strong but reliable security solution against them, it's nothing easy. On top of that, the cyber-security problems have evolved to the next level and so does the technology.
And lastly, this is probably the STUPIDEST cyber-security attack at the CORPORATE level the users of that ISP have ever ENCOUNTERED IN THEIR LIVES! Data collection by various companies for advertisement was already bullshit enough but this makes those users think on what the hell goes through that ISP's knuckleheads. Also, people around the globe already know on how extremely bad Comcast is in general as if that ISP can do whatever evil things that ISP wants. What this attack does is to deliver the warning pop-up message on insecure websites you visit via the six-strike system as if they will throttle down your connection speed or perhaps terminate your access but no, like I've mentioned, it's more like a security breach, that kind of security attack is something a cyber-criminal can do to us at the standard level that we can easily prevent it.
By the way, about this year's Consumerist's Worst Company in America tournament, there will be surprises when they see the final results one day perhaps sometime at the end of this year or maybe sometime next year. This is something the US people can be interested to take a look at and especially that various Wikipedia articles about those companies have mentioned the WCIA campaigns/tournaments but for those who don't live in the US like me, I guess that we know a little amount or nothing about other worst companies in America.

Beatmania IIDX 23 Copula first play

Now that we know that Beatmania IIDX 23 Copula recently came out last week, I figured out that it was a proper time to get going to the arcades again. Songs that were in parts of One More Extra Stage and Course modes in IIDX Pendual are normally playable. New to the gameplay includes the Hell Charge Notes, more assistance options although going for Easy Clear, Auto-Scratch or both may seem to be the standard options to be used in case the song is getting much harder to clear normally, and the ability to choose Normal, Mirror, EX or EX-Mirror in the Class mode.
Again, the rhythm game machines were arranged and now, there are two Beatmania IIDX machines instead of one this time again. I don't know about the machine on the left but man, please don't tell me that the IIDX machine on the left is the one with the LCD monitor again. It was a pain in the past like I thought that the machine wouldn't respond well in network connectivity stuff but it turned out that the machine was having some problem with the hard disk drive or something that replacement would be needed or something.
Also, the policy is getting more strict than ever that anyone who damages the machine in the arcades will have to take responsibility and the arcade center staffs have the rights to shut it off when that happens. Anyone who refuses to cooperate with them will be reported to the cops and worst of all, there will be no refunds for any machine that is damaged. Maybe there should be security cameras in the arcade if that's the case but since the rhythm games nowadays are suited for players aged 16 and above as I guess, you won't find any childish and mischievous troubles that easily.

Yahoo Mail locks users out over Ad-Block but it was a test

Great, nobody knows what the hell Yahoo is testing for new product experience but nowadays, things have already changed and I'm already checking emails on my AOL, Outlook and Sina accounts. Jeez, I wish I could have migrated every mail subscription from my AOL account to my Outlook or Sina account as a safer bet and especially that I'm receiving new mails from newer subscriptions. In fact, who the hell uses Yahoo mail in the present time?
Last time, Google Chrome users with Ad-Blocker extensions were forced to watch the full-ads on YouTube despite having those extensions due to a bug and that things would be fixed in the later versions of Google Chrome that might be based on later versions of Chromium but here, what Yahoo did was more of an experimental test and nobody knows what are they planning this time.

Playstation 2 backwards compatibility for Playstation 4

Perhaps, this is where Sony is doing it right again while still preparing the bullshit Playstation Now service which is seriously as costly as watching rented movies and TV shows from Netflix or perhaps using Windows Azure for awesome cloud virtualization. Microsoft already had the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility for Xbox One starting with the New Xbox One Experience powered by Windows 10 and there may be some rumors indicating that the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility is done using software emulation via virtual machine. This might be due to the fact that cloud streaming like Playstation Now does was going to be problematic for Microsoft that the legacy way of backwards compatibility was being used again. Maybe, the Xbox One uses the Hyper-V to make use of Xbox 360 VM for Xbox 360 games but where, in the game OS part? It may even pose more theories about how hypervisor works for Xbox One itself as the host OS in which it is divided into two parts, Windows OS and game OS. It's kind of like the Hyper-V OS is based on Hyper-V Server 8 that emulates the game OS and the modified Windows OS for that console.
For the Playstation 2 backwards compatibility for Playstation 4, the emulation program may seem to be the same as the one for Playstation 3 or maybe a different one which is Playstation 3 emulator running Playstation 2 emulator on the PS4. On the Playstation Vita, if you're playing Playstation 1 games, chances are, it makes use of the Playstation Portable emulator which runs Playstation 1 emulator for that inside the console. Some of the games may have less slowdowns, the others may have slowdowns in some stages due to inaccurate backwards compatibilty. This news of Playstation 2 emulation on Playstation 4 is due to the arrival of the Star Wars bundled Playstation 4 system in which there will be some Star Wars game that were originally on the Playstation 2 coming in for the Playstation 4 via emulation. Indeed, the emulation of previous Playstation consoles for Playstation 4 is on the way.

Windows 10 Enterprise with November Update

From the previous Know It, Prove It event from MVA, I was brought to Getting Started with Windows 10 for IT Professionals course in which I had additional technical knowledge from. However, certain courses still make use of the non-final stage versions of the Windows OSes. Features such as Windows Update for Business, Windows Store for Business, Mobile Device Management, Azure Active Directory Join, Credential and Device Guard and Windows Hello were what I knew things about from the course. But don't expect questions from you about how much I know of these enterprise exclusive features as some of the features are quite new.
Windows Store for Business has the enterprise exclusive apps you can buy for your business and there's also the Company Portal which is based on Windows Store except it takes place on-premise which is inside the organization run by the company data center where employees can gain access to. Windows Update for Business allows the IT Professionals to control which updates can be deployed to the production environment and which ones can't based on the patch testing in the test lab environment to see which if there are any bulky updates. Not to mention that there are also newer builds of Windows 10 which may pose challenge to IT Professionals themselves. Newer builds may feature improvements as well as newer stuffs available in Windows 10 but it was an absolute shame that Microsoft released Windows 10 in an incomplete state that they keep on milking it with later builds that are still available for Windows Insiders.
Next is the security problem at the hardware level. There may be rare chances that the malware attacks may take place the moment the computer is turned on like it may take place at the kernel level of the system even before the OS is booted and there are already questions about whether to use the pre-boot passwords or not. It turned out, you don't need to prepare pre-boot passwords as there are already other ways to secure a Windows 10 machine at a hardware level. Another security problem takes place at a corporate level like data leakage. It has been on-going but most of the data leakages are accidental. It may be due to minor technical or human errors but minor or not, things can be worse when that happens. What I saw from that MVA course had the interesting concept where corporate apps and personal apps are kept separate on the same device. Of course, VMWare already came up with the same technology for the Android devices that are suited for BYOD and it is where MDM comes in handy. Unfortunately, that MDM-like feature for Windows 10 is under testing and will be available soon to Windows Insiders and I don't know if that course will be updated with the final version of Windows 10 along with the final versions of the features all mentioned in the course.
About Windows Hello, it uses the camera with IR illumination similar to Kinect or Intel Realsense. The important criteria to get yourself identified is that your body must be live and that it is done through facial or iris recognition. Even if there's a change in your body, chances are, you still can get identified and especially for how dark the environment is. For Microsoft Passport, it makes use of network, software and websites to make use of PIN or bio-metric to authenticate users without the need for the password.
Lastly, you can use Group Policy, MDM, Windows ICD or Unattended for turning off the telemetric features in Windows 10 but this may be a challenge when it comes to deploying the OS with those things off for the corporate environment. I think that my choice will be Group Policy level that will be part of Windows 10 test deployment. You can add the GPOs in System Center Configuration Manager or Deployment Toolkit which I use for Lite-Touch deployment. Unfortunately, some of the features may have to be turned off manually even with Group Policy or any other methods.

Firefox OS 2.5 Developer Preview

Another Android launcher? In fact, this is more underrated than Firefox OS itself for the lack of support of the common local apps and I don't know if it will have support for HTML5 apps that you can try out similar to devices with HTML5 support today. Like Sailfish OS and Ubuntu Touch, Firefox OS can be installed on various Android devices but I guess that Sailfish OS is the better choice as it may have support for Android apps that it is more or less a secure alternative to Android OS. Another risky thing is the bricking of devices that you may need to take a caution of.
Sure, Firefox OS 2.5 may have the latest features to catch up with the current versions of Firefox web browser but I may suggest the Ubuntu Touch and Sailfish OS versions of Firefox if possible.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax obtained!

This one should be manageable in one-credit, right? Even then, we should think again there may be a stronger boss fighter that replaces Akira as the last opponent. I don't know how do you face her instead of Akira but I guess that you have to be really damn good in surviving everything as well as to fulfill special conditions needed for that.
Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is a licensed fighting game developed by Ecole and French Bread, the developers behind Melty Blood and Under Night In-Birth featuring characters from various Dengeki Bunko franchises. Don't expect this to be as great as Under Night In-Birth or Melty Blood though as some of the Dengeki Bunko franchises are found to be mediocre to me. Another strange thing is the game design. Why is the game taking place in various places from various Sega games? That is attracting unwanted audience and a bad idea when that happens. Not to mention that some of the fighters have some serious disadvantage from the way they attack but then, most of the fighters are really epic and badass although it's not the same for some spoilt fighters in terms of behavior. If you have known those Dengeki Bunko franchises, your opinions may affect your opportunity of playing as various licensed playable characters.
Version 2.0 also known as Ignition edition will have the Ignition attack in addition to Climax Arts as well as the fact that you can change characters after each round. There will be additional characters and stages but that's how the game is updated to newer versions. It was already out in the arcades in July this year and there will be a console version coming for Playstation 3, 4 and Vita by the year-end. The original one was also out in the arcades last year with All.NET Plus support where you can use your Aime card to record your progress similar to Nesica X Live arcade games.

King of Fighters 97 OL

What the hell happened? It was looking like SNK Playmore went mobile starting last year or earlier after a serious struggle with Pachinko slot machine games in which not many of the gamers are interested in and I'm severely against gambling stuffs as they ruin your life that easily. Rhythm of Fighters was kind of strange although Metal Slug Defense was like popular to the developers that they kept it going until today with additional units, crossover characters and even crossover stages that lasted a while. Yes, that game surely looked like Battle Cats which was released three years earlier than it so the word, defense, is a misleading word to the gameplay when comparing it to Battle Cats. Unfortunately, the developers of Battle Cats didn't even mention the complete origins of Metal Slug units and instead, they mentioned by in-game text that those units came from Metal Slug Defense. There may be units exclusive to Metal Slug Defense of course but too much crossover can pretty much ruin the image of Metal Slug series. Then, there was Beast Busters featuring KOF which I already finished most of the areas like I eventually stopped playing it. Even worse is that this year, SNK Playmore is acquired by the Chinese company, Ledo Millenium, in which Ledo Interactive developed KOF 97 OL for IOS and Android.
At first, we thought that this was an HD remake but it's not. It's a beat-em-up spinoff game of King of Fighters 97 and fans of the franchise were really annoyed about this as if the franchise or perhaps SNK Playmore itself is on life support. Everything is redone in HD and the gameplay controls are way too simple for the genre. You just mash the specific buttons that represent the respective moves like normal move which does the comboing in normal way plus the special move, the special moves that once used, you have to wait until they're available again, the desperation move and so on. If you have played tons of beat-em-up games or fighting games, you will notice that some of the stuffs are missing in the gameplay. You can't jump, air-dash, ground-dash or even throw something. There may be ground-dash attacks but they originate from the original KOF games so that doesn't count as a normal ground-dash attack in terms of the beat-em-up genre. Unlike Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds, you can't even guard yourself against enemy attacks. Yes, even Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds is the spinoff of the fighting game using the same genre as KOF 97 OL. A KOF beat-em-up spinoff game will be a decent idea since you're fighting tons of baddies like a fighter alongside other KOF characters in your team with other teams awaiting you as your rival teams. Perhaps, a real 3-vs-3 may make sense in this one where all team members are fighting the rival ones at the same time unlike the KOF series where it's still a 1-on-1 match with the other team members watching it and one fighter down may mean other team member taking over.
There's also a warning message telling you that the enemies in that stage you've chosen are too strong that you may need to strengthen yourself if you want to get in but you do have the options on whether you have to strengthen first or enter the stage anyway. There are tons of items that can be used as well as the outfit parts that can be strengthened. Plus, strengthening yourself may cost in-game currency and unlocking other fighters may require collecting cards representing them. There are also assist fighters that will help you out for extra overall strength. Like Beast Busters featuring KOF, each stage is short and features a boss at the end where you have to tackle him/her within the time limit.
Lastly, the FMV intro and loading screens are way out of place as if the fans are like, "What the hell is this?", "What's up with the look of the characters? How could SNK Playmore ruin their image like that?", "Why is this going all 3D CGI like in KOF Maximum Impact?". In fact, there might be cosplayers involved in the promotion of this game. The cosplay itself is fine but having to promote this game with it poses the fans a couple of challenging questions.
The worse thing is that King of Fighters XIV is going all 3D graphics via Maximum Impact series and there is some assumption that it is using Unreal Engine 4 with realistic effects or some sort but from what I saw in the trailers, the overall graphics looked like they were done in Unreal Engine 3.x or something. I mean the flame effects are not quite realistic enough and the smoke effect is half-assed as well. And what's up with the look and outfits of the characters? WHY DID SNK PLAYMORE ASSIGN THIS TO SOME EXTERNAL COMPANY LIKE THAT? Going next-gen is supposedly a requirement but going 3D like in Street Fighter IV or Maximum Impact series is a major disapproval to the fans. Hell, even the FMV intro of KOF 97 OL is like graphically better but keep in mind that KOF XIV is still under development and I don't know if KOF 97 OL will be superseded or not by the time it comes out next year for Playstation 4.
In summary of unacceptable flaws of KOF 97 OL,
  • Lack of standard abilities as required for a beat-em-up spinoff such as the lack of jumping, dashing and even throwing.
  • The way the sound effects are executed is flawed.
  • What's up with the loading screens and FMV intro?
  • For the music, the way it loops is that it cuts off certain parts of each song or something. (Example: Psycho Solder's theme song has chrous and post-chorus cut completely)
  • The stage uses the same background for every phase or something
Sure, there can be fighting game elements in today's beat-em-up games like special and super moves, guarding, surrounding shockwave that repels every surrounding enemy off as well as to summon your assistant to help you along to make things more epic in the next level so why not?

Tor Messenger Beta

A messenger with Tor? Seriously, no matter how much of these apps/services they have come up with that make use of Tor technology, there isn't any point for privacy advocates to live with that since it is over-protective. What Tor Messenger does is that it makes use of Off The Record messaging and allows you to connect to services like Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook chat, etc.

There are better security related technologies that don't go against the functionality, reliability and performance that you could have used better while going on in your daily computing activity. Just don't use those technologies for bad things and you should be fine.

Internal Tracking Protection for Firefox

If you have been seeking privacy like I'm have been seeking, that's the good thing as if you already have the addons related to security for the Firefox browser but if you don't have any and yet you're using Firefox, this is something you're going to take note of in the future. Firefox version 42 will have its own tracking protection that does the same way as Ghostery and Privacy Badger do. However, that protection feature is for Private Browsing mode and not the normal mode so you'll need those security addons for whichever web browser you're using.
Unfortunately, having too much of security protection applied to the browser may sacrifice the functionality, reliability and performance of the browser and networking on your device. Some of the websites are misbehaving on you like idiotic sites with those security addons on or perhaps on the third-party web browsers as if the same sites work better on the first-party ones.
It's like the tech giants have HALF the amount of RESPECT and SUPPORT for privacy related technologies like they want to sacrifice the other half for advertisements for earning money and therefore, the reputation over privacy respecting is half-assed. But making the privacy reputation too positive is not easy and may break the functionality, reliability and performance of the device like it already happened with IOS 8 and Android 5.0 that the law enforcement agencies already had the suspicions about improved security that would allow the criminals to use those technologies unnoticed. Also, another downside is the price of the devices containing that same amount of security and it may be hard to buy one of them from the retail store as well as the fact that they won't come with default services you already know of. It may be a waste like you don't know what those alternative technologies in software are all about but what about the ones on the hardware side.
Unfortunately, some of the addons can render the browser unusable like it already happened to Android version of the browser on my Android device and I may need to find a way to start over. Maybe reinstalling it should be able to help in case of the above trouble I have so that you should can find which culprit was behind that and that you should be careful for the desktop version as well.

Facebook alerts users of state-sponsored attack

Illegal state-sponsored attacks may come from companies or perhaps some government agencies that tech giants and their consumers are really concerned. If a company does that on their own accord with their product or service, the reputation is obviously super worse that it makes government agencies more respectful when it comes to the on-going situation on the outside. Such illegal actions can be exposed and found out by the privacy advocates. The on-going cyber-surveillance may be a good time to detect the place for further illegal activities taking place but what makes it really illegal in itself is the privacy violation of the civilians' as if such ideas are not always perfect.
Google might have planned this notification system for the users years ago before Facebook comes up with one but having to make things over-protective can open doors to undetected illegal activities and especially for those controversial bills that extend the illegal cyber-surveillance are always coming back that we have to fight them. What about those illegal activities done by the baddies then? Who's going to tackle those illegal activities for us?
The notification works like this. Basically, the victim is notified of the cyber-attack conducted by some attacker working on behalf of nation-state. In addition, the victim is also warned of the suspected unidentified malware as part of the attack that will likely infect his/her system. Turning on Login Approvals will keep this kind of cyber-attack from coming in.

Taiko No Tatsujin V Version

Taiko No Tatsujin reboot is in the arcades in Japan and Asia starting from four years ago with the Japanese release with the Asian version being released last year but it appears that my country is not getting the latest Taiko No Tatsujin game which is the one in HD widescreen and that's a shame. Thankfully, the upcoming Taiko No Tatsujin game for the PS Vita might have popped up in the Asian PSN and I tried out the demo like it's the first Taiko No Tatsujin game I have ever played. I can assume that the PS Vita version should be out in the local retail stores in this present time. The PS Vita game of Taiko No Tatsujin is similar to the one on the PSP where you press on the corresponding buttons on time to the music. I guess that physical buttons are much more preferred as the screen is somewhat too small to incorporate the touch screen elements like the IOS and Wii U versions have.

Strikers 1945 III on IOS and Android

This one's a special treat to show as I had one-credit-cleared this game on my Android device in the highest difficulty as shown in the screenshot below. Unfortunately, unlike that screenshot, my gameplay videos on YouTube took more than a credit to clear but it seemed that I was able to tolerate things quite well as if the game on IOS and Android is less difficult than the arcade version in which the enemy bullets are much faster in the arcade version. Another thing to talk about is the lesser amount of grinding in this one unlike the prequel on IOS and Android which is much more tedious. You should be able to get more virtual coins throughout the game than spending the overall amount of virtual coins in starting the game. What this means is that you can pay virtual coins in randomizing the choice of the fighter for full power as well as to enable a partner fighter to help you out before starting the game but by the time you have gone through the entire game, you may have gotten more virtual coins from some missions than consumed those virtual coins from random fighter choice + partner. This reduces the amount of grinding or some sort but another improvement is the inclusion of additional goals as different ways of unlocking fighters. For instance, you need to upgrade the fighters by spending virtual coins on getting full power, shield and higher charge weapon level so that you can get that amount of power the next time you start the game. Of course, you may need to do the required amount of upgrades to unlock that fighter.

Beast Busters featuring KOF DX

It has been a year since I played the original Beast Busters featuring KOF on my Android device and surely, it took tons of resources that there were choppy framerates as well as delays in the buffer. In fact, it may look like new contents are on the DX version with additional stages, removal of some social gaming elements like you can play it at anytime as many times as you like. Needless to say, some of the bosses of the last areas of last missions/area-sets are really tough. There might be gameplay videos of the original on my YouTube channel but like I mentioned in the previous blog post about Beast Busters featuring KOF, each area is really short compared to the standard rail-shooter games where each stage is really long due to multiple areas to take place in.

Synchronica by Bandai Namco

Taiko No Tatsujin franchise is highly popular in Japan and besides that, there's also the spinoff rhythm game from Bandai Namco for the arcades which is Synchronica. It's sort of like Osu/Elite Beat Agents but there are differences in the gameplay. There are notes where you have to drag from start to end point. You don't have to follow the path directly but you must make sure that you reach the end point in time and reaching there too late will result in breaking the combo. You can reach the end point as fast you wish and stay there but sometimes, portions of the path notes will be shown that you may have to follow along from start to end like one of the beatmaps of Namco Original songs. Also, the game makes use of multiple touch points that you may have to tap on two or more notes that appear at the same time to the beat. Other notes like normal and hold notes are self-explanatory.
I don't know if anyone may port those beatmaps from this game to Osu! simulator on PC or perhaps mobile devices but let me warn you that it is pretty much illegal to port them to simulators like that just because of similar game play. We have already seen a warning elsewhere stating that it is kind of illegal to port Bemani songs and their notecharts directly to LR2 or something as a way to avoid getting the simulator developers getting sued or something but who cares.
There are also songs from other Bandai Namco games like always such as the ones from Idolmaster series, Taiko No Tatsujin as well as the songs from other rhythm games not made by Bandai Namco as part of the rhythm game crossover festival or something and right now, that crossover is going second round where songs from other games were already available recently.

Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage

Well, this one may be the answer to Love Live School Idol Festival which was released two years ago and the interface during gameplay is somewhat similar except that everything else is different such as the gameplay, the room management which is unnecessarily social-ish, 2D and 3D graphics modes and so on. Idol Chronicle by Taito already has the 3D graphics which may render non-current Android devices incompatible with it as it takes up more resources that way but it should be able to catch up with Playstation Vita rhythm games made in Japan like Project Diva series, Persona 4 Dancing All Night, Utakumi 575, etc. This may have superseded other idol themed rhythm games on IOS and Android with so much exclusive features like multiple graphics modes, room management, multiple technical workarounds, etc.
Unlike Idolmaster Shiny Festa which has mini OVA animations included in the game, this one is based on the TV animated series which is based on the mobage of the same name. Like the Idolmaster TV animation series which is closely related to the Idolmaster games, the concept is the same for this one although the idol characters that will be in both this game and the TV animation counterpart are based on the popularity as like Starlight Stage, the original Idolmaster Cinderella Girls surely has tons of characters represented by cards.
The Communication Mode is sort of like the Story Mode which contains both the Main Story and the Side Story known as Story and Idol respectively, the Idol Mode is obviously the card management mode where you can level up various cards in your collection and the Room Mode is going all Farmville-ish indoor where you can decorate the producer's office in the enterprise of 346 production. Who thought the Room Mode was a good idea for this game? You can't decorate the offices like that. Unlike Love Live School Idol Festival, the story modes will sometimes give you multiple options similar to the main Idolmaster games. So be warned, making a bad choice will result in a bad communication. There's also the affection stuff but I don't know if that is similar to or different than the bond bonus from Love Live School Idol Festival.
Other factors in unlocking the songs include the Panel Mission which is kind of like the mini-quest, upping the producer rank, buying additional songs through the Jukebox and so on.

Lastly, like Love Live School Idol Festival, there will be plans to arrange the songs that are available in this game although I don't know if the songs from this game will have the same copyright level as Love Live School Idol Festival songs as not all songs are necessarily from the TV animation. There may be cases where gameplay videos of some songs are completely muted not because they are from the TV animated series or something. Also, like other idol-themed rhythm games on IOS and Android, this one remains in Japan for some reason so don't expect a global release.

Love Live School Idol Paradise

I don't know what went wrong with Dingo when developing a music game based on the multimedia animated franchise, Love Live School Idol Project. The overall graphics are equivalent to the graphical style of MMD or a PSP music game with 3D graphics. It's an epic disappointment when we saw the game in action before its release last year even when the game was finalized. We expected the graphics to be the same as the ones in Project Diva series just because the game was developed by Dingo, right? When a music game like this is developed by Dingo, you expect the graphical level to be as equal as Project Diva series level. The gameplay doesn't have to be exactly the same though.
Another disappointing impression was that the total amount of songs. Getting at least 30-40 songs should be an acceptable requirement for me but this is not supposed to be an exception because there should be tons of songs available to choose from and by the time you've reached the game's end, you might have chosen the same song, few songs or maybe several songs. I guess this is what the flow of the Idolmaster franchise is about like choosing costumes, accessories, idols to manage and of course, the songs but what increases the replay value is the large amount of choices. Like the Idolmaster PSP games, Love Live School Idol Paradise is split up into three and you can choose various costumes, stages and the songs as well as to adjust the stage settings. I guess that Love Live School Idol Paradise is the closer answer to Idolmaster Shiny Festa as it is more of a rhythm game with storyline than the idol management simulation game.
Perhaps, there should be game called School Idol Producer or something but Love Live related or not , that will break the originality and rip off the former competing franchise that there will be lawsuits from Bandai Namco because its existence can cause a serious war over these two franchises despite their differences in concept even when the awesome collaboration of these two franchises took place this year. Hell, even one of the songs from Love Live School Idol Project franchise is playable in Taiko No Tatsujin but that's pretty much it as if Bandai Namco has no plans to put in additional songs from the that franchise at this moment and it's already a limited opportunity.
And of course, what's up with the part where you have to draw the on-screen symbol for a boost? That is unnecessary and it should belong to some kids game on the DS or 3DS. Sure, the game itself may be suited for teenagers and above and especially for the fans of the franchise but that feature is a strange move to me.
The game overall is pretty much a disappointment to the fans as if they may stick on to playing School Idol Festival on IOS and Android due to sufficient contents and replay value. As of this time, there are already songs in School Idol Festival taken from the animated movie that was already in theaters months ago in Japan and it was also in theaters outside Japan recently. I imagine that when the music starts, the fans at the cinema theaters may end up turning the whole place into a concert which may be strange to those who watch tons of movies but not the Japanese animated ones but be warned, there will be spoilers and I don't know the entire plot of the movie at this time. I guess that a huge amount of sadness awaits those who watch it provided that they know the plot of the TV animated series season 2. Again, you won't find information here about what went on in that show but there should be references to both seasons 1 and 2 in School Idol Festival game which is still on-going and I'm still lagging behind the latest chapters due to painful grinding that I have to face.

Groove Coaster 2 for Arcade, IOS and Android

For Groove Coaster 2 Heavenly Festival, there are changes to the game-end system in which you use the Groove Coins to buy songs, items and other stuffs, replacing the Level Up system that has been present in the original Groove Coaster including its EX variation. The Level Up system is still intact in Groove Coaster 2 Original Style and there's a new control method where you can make noise near your device while the device mustn't make any sound to get a beat which is unspeakably strange and replaces various types of notes with normal notes. Worse thing for using that method is that your scores will not be saved as if things don't count. In addition, the Original Style version has difficulties from the arcade version of Groove Coaster series although the song level range between these two versions is different that it kind of confuses me to determine which level number is the highest for each version. Heavenly Festival has some changes done to the versus multiplayer mode as well as you will notice in the results screen and Original Style has included the Ad-Lib in the results screen as well. Getting 100% of Ad-Lib what you'll want to get that should boost your scores even higher for better grades but it's not easy to get one unless you can memorize where all the Ad-Lib notes are for each song. You can try using Visible item to reveal those notes as the assist item.
To be frank, I might have gotten the No-Miss in certain songs which is the standard full combo. For a true full combo, a Standard Full Combo and 100% Ad-Lib combination is a must which is more difficult for me in the first place. Starting from today, I have already set up the same goal of attempting the new songs from Groove Coaster 2 Heavenly Festival.

Project Mirai Deluxe for 3DS

The second game features additional songs, mini-games and even the item events similar the ones in Project Diva series' Diva Room. There's also the editor although it doesn't seem to be as big as the one in Project Diva series where you can use the MP3 files along with custom scene, dance movements and custom notecharts for a custom song. That is the biggest feature that increases the replay value. In addition, there are multiple vocals for the same song but that depends if the song supports that. Last major change is the gameplay. It's sort of like the 2D variant of Groove Coaster the way it approaches the notes and depending on the control method, you have to press the corresponding physical buttons or tap on the corresponding on-screen ones. For the touchscreen gameplay, there's also the flick feature in addition to having to tap on the pink or blue one.
For the Deluxe version which has additional changes from the second game, the music videos are changed and there is one more song exclusive to it as well as the change of the charts for certain songs. This is the first Project Mirai game to be released outside Japan and people should be glad when buying this on their own 3DS besides buying the Project Diva series on their Playstation 3 or Vita. Some of the songs from Project Mirai series are already available in Project Diva Arcade and Maimai in which there are major graphical differences between Project Mirai series and Project Diva Arcade.

Prismatic Solid for Playstation 4

Originally an Xbox Live Indie game developed using XNA by some former Squaresoft programmer, Prismatic Solid pushes the limits of the Xbox 360 console without any lag by having tons of particles, bullets and shards at the same time. If you thought that bullet hell shmups today take up tons of resources with bullets only, this one has more than that without any slowdown whatsoever. Resogun surely has tons of particles and voxels as well as superior graphics to this but as least, it is a test of technical capability of XNA and Xbox 360 themselves. There's the glow effect below the ship similar to the one in R-Type Dimensions and like the R-Type series, the options protect you from enemy bullets. Each shot has its own formation and each option has its own smartbomb that decreases the power everytime you activate it. There are power orbs in three different colors that increase the power and the tentacle arms of the corresponding options.
On the Playstation 4 version, there's really not much to say other than the smooth gameplay in 1080p at 60fps with no graphical differences whatsoever. I might have seen some changes in programming that make the game more challenging in this version or maybe my witnessing is somewhat wrong as the game itself is so underrated not because it's an indie game or something. The only special thing about the Playstation 4 version is that even the Playstation 4 is put to the technical test on how well the system can handle the game the same way the Xbox 360 does.

Persona 4 Dancing All Night

*Sigh* More rhythm games on Playstation Vita are coming in and even IA/VT Colorful is released this year after some delays and the announcement from last year. This one to a surprise is developed by Altus with Dingo being excluded due to the reshuffling of the game development staff. I don't know why did they exclude Dingo like that but the gameplay should look and feel familiar to you if you have played Project Diva games. Somehow, the gameplay concept to me is sort of like Project Diva mixed with Maimai/Samba De Amigo because the notes appear from the center of the screen and the on-screen keys such as the buttons/arrows at the end are placed in circles.
Another surprise is the fact even DJ Dolce has played the game in the official live stream and somehow, he's like the master of the genre, able to manage every rhythm game he can show off and especially that he's played other rhythm games like Chunithm, Drummania, etc.
As a spinoff of the Persona series, there are songs taken from other Persona games as well as the songs exclusively new to this one. I don't know if I'll get some time to arrange any of these as well as to buy the game itself. Needless to say, there are way so many songs, costumes, accessories and other stuffs available as DLC and I guess that it may have outnumbered the number of DLCs from Project Diva games due to to tons of fan requests or something.

Chunithm

At first glance, people in Japan probably dismissed Chunithm as the ripoff of Sound Voltex but after sometime, the close comparison to Chunithm is Deemo in which the gameplay is somewhat similar. Unlike Deemo, Chunithm has multiple lengths of the notes which range from tiny to large and they are positioned anywhere in the playfield. The playfield is obviously divided into more than several note panes as if they represent the corresponding piano keys. In addition to the notes in various sizes, there are also notes where you have to raise your hand above the keys while being at the corresponding positions those notes are on. The laser notes in Chunithm have the starting and ending points anywhere similar to what Sound Voltex III has. Prior to the third game, the starting points for the laser notes are left for blue and right for pink but unlike Sound Voltex, there are no horizontal paths (Whoosh parts) where you instantly shift to the other side and Chunithm has more than two laser notes on the field. The major challenge is the fact that the virtual keys are kind of crammed that you may need to find other ways to ensure that both hands don't collide when sliding from one side to another but obviously for zig-zag like laser note patterns, you can split up the group of virtual keys into two that easily.
The keys are not physical and I guess that Sega might have used the same technology for the controls as the one for Project Diva Arcade Future Tone. It should support like multiple touch points and Chunithm has the sensor technology for the air notes. The strange addition to the cabinet is the large black & green LED display on top of the main monitor like it tries to act like the VMU or some sort during gameplay. And of course, there are elements where you have to choose one of the cards representing whichever character as the assist items for gameplay.
To compensate for the un-originality of the gameplay, there was some collaboration between Chunithm and Deemo which was a promising stumble that some of the songs will be commonly playable. Of course, expect some differences between these two games and it looks like Sega's finally doing right this time. Other rhythm game collaborations include some Bemani songs as well as the ones from Paca Paca Passion, Persona 4 Dancing All Night, etc.

Gensou no Ronde for Playstation 4

This one's a special discovery as G.Rev was already aware of what that game is all about when it was announced for Playstation 4. The game itself is basically Senko No Ronde with Touhou and for the original version on PC, it uses the 4:3 resolution for whatever reason and that the only shiny thing about the graphics is the amount of glowing bullets on screen. The gameplay is so similar but there are some differences to reflect the purpose of the Touhou Project franchise.
The Playstation 4 version was announced with licenses obtained from G.Rev to allow the release of the game. It features HD graphics as well as online matches and other stuffs available as DLCs. The PC version was taken down but I guess that the developers of this Senko No Ronde clone are improving it to make it on par with the Playstation 4 version. Of course, they still need to obtain the license from G.Rev if they are to release the PC version in the future.
Needless to say, I'm not a goodie at Senko No Ronde as the gameplay concept is unspeakably complicated and it looks like there's no way we can try out the PC demo version as of this time if there's one of course to see how things go.

Astebreed for Playstation 4

This one's an indie game and as you can know, it is originally on PC that showcases the next generation graphical power for the genre. At that time, it is another game that tries to supersede Under Defeat and puts Strania on XBLA and Nesica X Live to shame in terms of the amount of content and graphical level. Astebreed has cutscenes with voices which Strania has cutscenes but with insufficient content. Unfortunately, the 2D cutscenes are not animated at all and it may be a disappointment for people expecting full animated 2D cutscenes in both Arrange and Original Modes of the Playstation 4 version. The Playstation 4 version has additional stuffs done in terms of programming as shown in the official version comparison video as well as better modelling and textures. Even the Arrange Mode has improved gameplay as well and on Chapter 5, the mode has additional BGM as heard in some game trailer for the Playstation 4 version. Not to mention that you get improved firepower in the Arrange Mode. Unfortunately, the story doesn't have enough extension in the Arrange Mode to call the mode Story Mode but I think that the full story should be in Story Mode with no gameplay differences whatsoever. The Arrange Mode shouldn't have story difference or extension either.
On the PC version, there's also the opportunity to play the game at 4K or even 8K HD but that is too unnecessary since most of the games are up to 1080p and trying to make the game support 4K or 8K may require a more powerful system, electrical power and higher resolution textures. What the hell? Nobody knows what future gaming generation era is like and not even Mid-End machines can handle 4K gaming like that let alone 4K videos and 4K or 8K monitors or TVs are not the right times to buy right now.

Super Stardust Ultra

To be frank, I've never played any of Housemarque games before. The interesting discovery of Housemarque games started with Resogun for Playstation 4 which is one of the launch games. It is also available on Playstation 3 and Vita with downgraded visuals. It was seriously interesting from what I saw like tons of vowels and particles scattered on screen that it takes up the most amount of hardware resources of Playstation 4 system. The Playstation 3 and Vita versions are having those things reduced while leaving various graphical effects intact. However, the Playstation 4 has additional game modes that other versions don't have like those DLC exclusive modes that inlcude Protector Mode, Demolition Mode, Challenge, Commando Mode and so on.
For Super Stardust Ultra, the planets look different and so are the spacey backgrounds. Even the soundtrack is different as well and the Playstation 4 version features cinematic cutscene for every stage. A new mode exclusive to Playstation 4 version is the live stream mode in which like other gaming live streams, there may be people trying to deliver some help or cause some disturbance to the player. Of course, there are controversies taking place in live streams like those naughty idiots pulling those criminal level pranks like getting the player or someone else s***ted or something. These kinds of behaviors are really offensive and can land those idiots into trouble like what already happened last year so you'll need some security when planning out your gaming live stream.
Gameplay in Super Stardust HD is like Asteroids and Geometry Wars mixed together. In the original, it's more or less an Asteroids clone but the original has the 3D stages that are kind of like Galaxy Force II or Space Harrier and that version has rendered CGI graphics for both 2D and 3D gameplay. It surely pushes the limits of the later Amiga hardware and there's also the DOS version in existence to the test. Unlike the original version, you get full controls of the ship with two analog sticks and each stage has all phases taking place on each planet with no interruptions. The original version has phases scattered throughout each stage, sort of like Galaga 88 on versions excluding PC-Engine and Game Gear versions. If you want a giant map representing a stage in Super Stardust, that will require warping from one phase to another for a short time. Super Stardust HD removes all those time-wasting elements from the original.
There are other ports of Super Stardust HD such as PSP version, PS Vita version and of course, the PS4 version. Each version has different name, soundtrack and other differences as well.

Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds Overdrive

The Playstation 4 version that was released this year has the additional skills, 16-bit BGM as well as higher amount of enemies to deal with. There are also special magic spells that cause lots of money or other items, summon various attacks or do the recovery. It surely makes things overall intense with lots of enemies on the battlefield but it can mean the increase of difficulty overall like you're going to have a hard time in higher difficulty even at the highest power. In addition, there are other changes in this version as well such as different announcer, the way the enemy disappears or takes damage and the real fog effects. These changes may be strange to be frank and they still don't increase the Playstation 4 usage level much further and especially for the insane amount of enemies and items on screen which are the only major resource usages of the system. Also, the retroness level is getting that less due to the fog, lighting effects and other effects the retro game systems are not able to handle. Even certain sound effects are not retro at all.
Having to level up and unlock skills is a tedious task and that concept to me should not be in the game. Also, another strange thing is that other characters are completely powerless that they are seriously weak in the first place and the worse thing about Arcade Mode is that there's no way you can strengthen the characters after every stage. Lastly, the Playstation 4 version worsens things a little bit with the decrease of retroness level by adding real fog and lighting effects which are way beyond many retro game systems can do.
These enhancements mentioned above can also be in other versions of the game as well but I don't think that will happen at anytime.

Gothic wa Mahou Otome

As of last year or two years ago, Cave was already going mobile due to the serious financial issues from making so much of arcade shmup games for the arcades and Xbox 360 with some of them on other systems like PS2, PS3, DS and even the 32-bit ones and the genre is already overwhelmed by other genres which are more popular. There are also non-shmup games developed by Cave in which not all reviewers even know of and certain reviewers put the blame on the publishers as if the reviewers are like what the publishers are thinking without even knowing that Cave is the culprit behind those games.
Two years ago, there was Donpachin for IOS and Android which was already discontinued after some time in favor of Gothic wa Mahou Otome and people already gave an initial negative impression upon seeing the game trailer on why was the game going quite opposite. It's the same for Gothic wa Mahou Otome but unlike Donpachin which goes by the endless level concept via Candy Crush, Gothic wa Mahou Otome uses the chapter by chapter concept where each chapter is divided into various stages and has the virtual card management just like other social games made in Japan. Each card has its own purpose and attack but getting those SRs and URs are more recommended for higher score and power. Of course, it will take you days to level up SRs and URs to the max like I already had the tedious time in various smartphone games I already played.
The gameplay is an improvement over Donpachin in which you can move anywhere and make use of the cards you selected for special attacks as well as to choose the cards for character switching/shot switching. That's one major difference than the one in Donpachin when it comes to your cards ready during gameplay. For boss battle, there's another major difference. Unlike Donpachin where you attack enemies to power up your cards for stronger attack on the boss for Attack Mode, the boss in Gothic wa Mahou Otome has those multi-colored stuffs where shooting the specified color causes major damage to the boss. You can also use the attacking cards to summon those special attacks. Last thing to mention in the gameplay is the Love Max feature which is kind of like Hyper feature but I think that applies to the cards that are not at the highest level or something.
As the game is popular or some sort, there's the mini website of some toothbrush simulator or something where you have to tap rapidly to fill up the Doki-Doki meter. Somehow, I see that as a weird and strange way of promoting the game and I don't think I'll ever get in to it because that's for highly spoilt nerds.
Lastly, as there's also the event stage which may be a special stage, or perhaps a score attack stage. A special stage may have its own BGM and there are some Deathsmiles cameo appearances whether it's an in-game event or not.

Blackphone 2 by Silent Circle

This one may look like it's suitable for business people looking for devices with higher security. The successor to the original Blackphone surely has superior specs although it is a little bit more expensive than the Iphone 6s for comparison. Android devices running Android 5.x should have the same level of security and especially for Iphone 6 series today although the price is obviously the downside due to how superior those devices are and especially for the ones made by Samsung which may cost like a price of a standard computer. The Blackphone 2 OS is obviously the same OS as the first Blackphone is although I don't know what exact version the OS is but again, I still know that it is based on Cyanogenmod. And of course, the Blackphone 2 can be suitable for mobile device management. To keep both enterprise and personal stuffs separate and private, there should be something that is akin to VMWare's Android virtualization program where you can open up the Android VM containing the enterprise stuffs although it may look like either a remote desktop kind of a technology or maybe a local VM technology given to the employees but even then, it's a recommendation that the enterprise data should be stored in the organization when possible unless you need to work on it from home after work.
The last thing to say that Google had just made an announcement for Android 6.0 release that will take place in early October as if it may look like a good time if done correctly like what IOS9 is.

Windows 10 privacy news update

I had already mentioned that most of the options for opt-out can be disabled for higher privacy but the problem is that some of the options cannot be disabled unless you're in Enterprise edition which gives you the full control. It seems that Microsoft was already under fire for this by various lawsuits but they already mentioned that consumers are able to disable those options like it was a cakewalk ever since Windows 10 came out. The question at a deeper level is that some of the privacy violations stuffs were still intact even with those options disabled and it's like Microsoft could tell in court that they can be disabled in higher edition of Windows 10 like Pro or Enterprise.
What else can I say here after another news like this popped up in various tech news and blogs including Neowin which has been the main reference for blog posts here? Here's what Microsoft told about:
  1. Data will be collected and sent to Microsoft for improvement purposes of Windows 10 and especially that the Insider Preview has been on-going which obviously makes sense ever since I beta-tested it although the Fast Ring Mode is going to make you freak out over instability of the OS behavior like I already did unexpectedly before going back to Slow Mode.
  2. Like I already know from few to several times, you have full control on what will be collected and what will not be collected. It's easy to disable those options and especially when you start up Windows 10 for the first time that you should go for option customization.
  3. The data collection is still there but Microsoft has a strict policy that it will not be used for advertising purposes.
So it may look like Outlook still has that strong security intact but for Onedrive, there was a false fear and doubt of that? In fact, other personal assistants are doing the same illegal thing like Siri and Google Now when you try to ask them for something. Why don't you try to tell your friend or something for information locally?
Then, what about Windows Update and Wi-Fi Sense? That Wi-Fi Sense may sound like one of the stupidest features I have ever seen in terms of security. It allows your friends or guests to bypass the Wi-Fi hotspot password through Windows 10 devices or something and the worse thing is that, not all devices are running that OS and I find that Wi-Fi Sense is starting to become pointless for sure.
Lastly, Xbox One users that run this OS one day can finally calm down again over this news update regarding the privacy policy and it may seem that Microsoft will make a sense-ful privacy policy that people can understand. Speaking of Windows gaming nowadays, I don't know if the problem about the controversial anti-piracy policy in which people are not able to play some games affected by it is solved or not but the worse thing is that it is also spread to Windows Vista, 7 and 8.1 and somehow, Microsoft might have dropped support for that part of gaming.

Cortana Button for Windows 10

A third-party hardware addon for Windows 10? You could have activated Cortana easily with Windows key + C for communication or perhaps you might have turned that off completely for the sake of security! I don't see the point of this on devices running in Windows 10 but I guess that the only useful thing is that it can be useful for embedded devices running Windows 10 on the car or something.
This device by Satechi uses the Bluetooth 4.0 LE technology and promises 2 years of battery life. All you have to do is to press the button to begin communication on the go but that doesn't seem to be the point when you already have a smartphone/tablet having Cortana in there that you can activate it easily.
And this is more or less your opinion of whether this Cortana Button is pointless or not but when it comes to Android or Windows embedded car devices that have the personal assistant feature that can be activated locally without the need for a phone which can also be done the same local way, this is where the Cortana Button is becoming really pointless for me when you can already activate Cortana locally on your computer, tablet, smartphone and other devices that support personal assistant feature without the need for USB, Bluetooth or network connections. It's a wonderful waste of everything spent on making hardware addons like this when you can actually activate personal assistants locally. The only place that's Intranet-ish in terms of the way the personal assistant searches for is the military network. She/he may have known whatever that goes on in the places one military side is in but she/he can't know anything from the enemy side.

Telegram's controversial conference

The CEO of Telegram has made the conference and speech CONTROVERSIAL by mentioning that even te******ts use their services for the sake of security and in fact, they even take privacy as a higher level of importance than fighting te****ism like really, higher privacy is No. 1 priority with anything else being at lower priority? Has any tech giant have any BRAINS in BOTH protecting and respecting customers' privacy AND fighting te****ism as the same top priority? If there's any unbalancing of these importances, it will attract some fearful situation.
And it is already at the WRONG TIME to criticize Whatsapp for the lack of privacy at this time. Have they even known that their technology is nowadays used in Whatsapp as well for improved security? With Telegram in Whatsapp and that Whatsapp being the most popular texting app besides LINE and Wechat, there won't be any need to use Telegram as not all people know what the hell it is.
Having to mention such stuffs as stated above in the publicized conference is a complete no-no. It's like the CEO has unexpectedly attracted those cyber-spying agencies like Telegram is next to be on their list for being used by those baddies. It may be true that popular services with high security are used by every kind of people alike including those baddies that make may things difficult for those agencies to track down.

AVG sells browsing history to third-parties

That has been one brave but stupid thing AVG has ever done, collection of browsing history and delivery of it to third-parties on their accord. We already know that AVG is already on the list of popular anti-virus brands containing the backdoors used by those cyber-spying agencies. Even Kaspersky and F-Secure are on the list as well for challenging those agencies with better security and the result is that their security isn't 100% perfect. It may be the same for tech giants services we thought were more secure than before probably due to the fact that they betrayed us again with their new recent products with unfair security policies.
Wired UK had spoken to AVG about this situation and they stated that their previous policy was already in effect but didn't make it clear to the users that they have been collecting browsing history until sometime in October this year, they have altered the policy like trying to make it more senseful. The new policy from AVG allows you to opt-out of this data collection once it is active next month.
It's an epic shame on you if you don't care for the importance of privacy and how dangerous those famous destructive groups of baddies are as if your data will be exposed easily by cyber-criminals for instance and you get captured into joining those groups like a slave for instance. A bigger shame will come to you if you support cyber-spying and other security violation stuffs and we despise liars that disrespect their customers through security violation and denying any wrongdoings.

Twitter sued for eavesdropping on Direct Messages?

What the hell? Wasn't Facebook quite an offender to you the last time over privacy issues? You should be able to opt-out of this in Twitter fairly but according to the recent lawsuit someone had filed, it appeared that the secret offense Facebook had came from Twitter in eavesdropping on Direct Messages by collecting data for advertisements during Twitter servers with the use of shortened links. Certain kinds of shortened links would show me a blank page like things had no response whatsoever on purpose but illegal eavesdropping from a company on their users is what spreads stupidity all over.
You should keep in your bloody mind that not a single tweet is private when everything is shown to both followers and non-followers. That surely includes direct messages as well and they are not private messages or some sort unless there's a setting that makes tweets accessible to followers only as well as the silly follower approval setting that is similar to the approval settings for new group members on Facebook.

Google Chrome reportedly bypassing Adblock that forces users to watch video ads

The actual culprit behind this bypassing is the unintended result of fixing the previous security issue and the developers behind the Chromium are already aware of it. The patch is likely to be on the way to Google Chrome 46 and until then, the only way to get around this situation is to disable Adblock, whitelist YouTube or maybe uninstall the YouTube app. Wait, YouTube web app on Chrome? That sounds kind of bullshit to you for your sake! You could have used the YouTube with HTML5 for smoother browsing right now on any web browser. You could have also used the YouTube app on mobile devices which obviously makes any sense.
OK, it may seem that many people were like putting blame to Google for causing this security problem but once again, the actual culprit is the one stated above at the beginning of this post. It may be a minor or normal issue level.

Adblock Plus Browser on IOS and Android

Back then, the Adblock Plus was taken down as it goes against the advertising policy made by Google and especially for the Adblock Plus Browser. You could have installed Adblock Plus by sideloading it on Android and then making manual adjustments to the proxy according to the information from the app to get it activated. From my experience, the networking performance isn't that great with Adblock Plus activated on the Wifi hotspot I'm using. It also has disabled the functionality of certain parts of certain apps in which I can't see the notices, updates or whatever and the worse condition is that some of the secure web browsing proxies require that you have their apps active if you want to browse the net that way like the Orbot for instance, once you have its proxies entered on Firefox, you must have it activated or you can't browse at all.
The release of this web browser on IOS and Android is probably due to the support of extensions in Safari in IOS 9. I don't know if Safari on computers will support the same thing as well. It's a bonus opportunity for Eyeo to port their famous Adblock Plus to IOS 9 Safari web browser in addition to having released Adblock Plus Browser on both IOS and Android.
On Android, I think the best bet will be to have both the sideloading and Google Play Store methods as there may be less guarantee for the Android version to pop up in Play Store.

Windows 10 Preview in Xbox One

As things are getting more universal with Windows 10 on tablets, smartphones, computers and even the Xbox One, it may seem that the same apps that are in Windows 10 on computers will be available on Xbox One as well through the same kind of code. It is said that Windows 10 on Xbox One will have improved speed and social media such as a community section for social networking interaction, revamped TV features and optimized Xbox store for easier navigation. The Xbox 360 store surely has divided into three parts in which the game part is the main part with games, DLCs, etc. with the app part being the one not related to gaming and avatar part for customization. Sure, the avatar app in Xbox 360 is still good looking in visuals but the navigation combined with painful networking make it a total pain. I don't know if the avatar customization app in Xbox One is an improvement or not.
And of course, I may expect Microsoft Edge in Xbox One as a replacement to Internet Explorer as we anticipate its superior and common features like improved tab interactivity that makes the browser on par with its rivals. Hell, even Firefox is already on par with that same improvement but until the time Microsoft Edge is on par, we also expect extensions on it but we have to bear in mind that not all extensions can be installed universally. I don't know if the Edge and Firefox for Windows 10 extensions are made universal or not at this time.
Other features I can imagine like the Cortana support for Xbox One, streaming in between the console and the Windows 10 device in which the only useful thing about it is video-capturing. Having to buy that console just to stream PC games to it is kind of a stupid idea. Perhaps, a cross-platform play is a better idea like it doesn't matter which gaming platform you own the game for.
Lastly, I don't know if the respect for security is getting much worse in Windows 10 for Xbox One like only certain privacy violation options can be disabled or something. Also, who knows if there will be complete backwards compatibility as well at this time.
