OpenDNS update

According to the newsletter stated in one of my E-mails, it seems that even OpenDNS is against the bills that are against the freedom of the Internet. The on-going bills including those that were thought to be gone are still censoring the shit out of the contents on the sites. Now there’s even a bill that blocks off the 18+ contents which may be fine but the bill name when shortened is like an insult to soccer video games on PC.

This time, there’s a new policy from OpenDNS to reinforce a belief they have held since the launch six years ago. There will be no usage of OpenDNS just to censor all the shit on the net for the people.

And that’s it for the email I already received but wait, there’s more coming in from OpenDNS about this news. A new policy had already existed and it seems that OpenDNS does not provide content filtering services to governments or ISPs that contribute to oppression by censoring stuffs for their people. Think those kinds of bills were dead completely? Actually, other bills are still on-going and now we see a new one from the author of the first bill we discovered. Even his full name may have stupid guts to censor certain movies. That is something he also insulted with his bills. Also, OpenDNS will avoid providing state-sponsored censorship services to know that it is the right thing for their business, their reputation etc.

From inside the policy, they do not sell to or allow its security and Web filtering services to be used by governments or ISPs that engage in the censorship. So if you’re working at one of the ISPs, then I can assume that using OpenDNS for that can land you in serious trouble like the customers can file complaints on why things are censored online. OpenDNS operates with the core principle that governments and ISPs should not be empowered to dictate which websites are accessible at a national or regional level. They put forth every possible effort to ensure its services are not used in this capacity and will immediately cease providing filtering services if made aware it is enabling a government or ISP to censor the Internet for its people or constituents.

Now, there’s one warning from OpenDNS. If you believe that they are providing service to a government entity for the purposes of censorship, you can contact them so an investigation can be opened. After all, they are against the bills and want Internet freedom. Just don’t let your company you’re working at use OpenDNS to censor all the shit for employees. Well, the company still needs to use social networking, blogging, video sharing and other Internet categories as part of the business perhaps to promote the products they are working on.

Eventually, I’ll be using OpenDNS after this blog post like I’m making a comeback.

Eschatos on Games On Demand

It’s Eschatos on Xbox 360 again and today is the day of its Games On Demand version release. How catastrophic the name of the game is? You can take a look at the game story yourself. It takes place in the 22nd century and the catastrophic invasion has come to put an ultimate end to everything in this globe but it’s up to you to stop them in order to save the day and the global future.

Originally the last year’s release, this one is another region free shmup game from the creators of Judgment Silversword and the Wonderwitch tool. I had like wonderful interest on this game last year as this was something I should take a look at instead of that useless invasion Sci-Fi movie I talked about that was rumored to take place last year.

Now let’s imagine this. There’s some evil organization combining the solar power, nuclear power and the weather power, and all of the sudden, the catastrophic project is complete and the organization is ready to strike. There are organization induced tornados everywhere that burn the shit out of everything and make every place radioactive that no one can stop it. It may be up to some hero to save the day but then he ends up in the danmaku battle that no one else has ever seen against the mastermind who possesses these three powers. At this point, the whole area may already be turned into craters by then and the sky has already become a cloud of fire. Perhaps I may suspect that my wailing enemy from my secondary school days is behind those disasters that may be somewhat real to happen.

This kind of eschatology is freaking scary. Stay far away from all the disasters.

Sega’s Maimai

Looks like Sega is extra busy like that ever since last year. In addition to Project Diva series for the PSP and the upcoming Project Mirai for Nintendo 3DS, there comes another rhythm game with Vocaloid songs and this time it’s from Sega. Previously around this year, there was another new rhythm game with those songs as well by Konami named Sound Voltex Booth but I doubt that this isn’t the first time. It was like Namco and Taito were next to put in Vocaloid songs to their rhythm games, then now, it’s Konami’s turn. As Sega or perhaps Crypton Future Media is like surprised or something, it seems that Sega has decided to come out with a new rhythm game with those songs. One of them is Happy Synthesizer, which will also be in Project Mirai as well. There’s another one besides Happy Synthesizer but you can bet that it was recently in Project Diva Arcade last December. That was taken from Project Diva Extend if you can know the meaning of this.

From what we saw, the gameplay is something comparable to Samba De Amigo but the controller is obviously the touch screen circular monitor and the circular edge thing. You are supposed to press those buttons to the beat on the circular edges. Man, perhaps this is the quicker way of entering the passcode to open the door rather than turning the wheel to the corresponding numbers. There’s also the sliding feature on the screen and you have to slide your finger in the corresponding direction. Perhaps the cabinet is probably taller than the washing machine but then, who even has the opinion on the gameplay and cabinet concepts.

Accessing data in the cloud

The post from Building Windows 8 can be interesting. This is regarding the SkyDrive which is Microsoft’s cloud storage service for users. I have been using cloud technology ever since three years ago and the best example is DropBox. I already had the tool that encrypts the DropBox data and in fact, that is for extra protection to my DropBox data except that the protection can be done offline. The encryption takes place inside my USB Hard Disk. The encryption thing was likely to be due to discovering some IT news saying that even cloud storages can be compromised if in-secure. Today, I already have Windows Live Mesh that synchronizes the development data in between my computers and the Live Mesh Skydrive storage which is quite separate. Usually, this may be where the momentum can come from where I retrieve my good stuffs and then share with my mates but still, DropBox may be the best use and it has been mentioned by others as well such as my lecturers of my college for instance.

The college downside of cloud computing lies with that freaking faggot from one of Wireless Technology classes who presented with me the other time. That person is so inferior and the worse thing is that, there has been no knowledge of cloud computing whatsoever that the whole stupid success laid with the use of thumb drives again even all the way to the IAP presentation day where my presentation was hooked up to my liaison officer’s Macbook which uses OpenOffice Impress which already worsened the creative looking presentation, turning it into a shitty one. I don’t even know what will happen next to my Case Study and Module Assignment 5 presentations. Will they end up like that shitty one or turn out to be much better? Seems that that faggot was the one who wasn’t paying much of enough attention that that person may deserve a repeat this April until the respect or whatever is earned.

Sound Voltex Booth

Wow, another rhythm game from Konami under the latest Benami entry! Unlike the previous rhythm games by Konami, this one contains a series of songs with Vocaloid technology. There are exclusive ones that use that technology as well as the recycled songs from the previous rhythm games. Unfortunately, there were downsides for some of the remixed songs put in this game. How could the producer screw up Evans from Jubeat like that for this game?

So from what I saw, the speed is really crazily fast depending on the song you choose as well as the difficulty. The Beatmania like beatmap may seem to be having less notes than ever as to fit in the gameplay of Sound Voltex Booth. You have four standard buttons that behave like Beatmania but all you can do with them is the white notes. There are hold notes but those belong to the hold buttons in which you have to hold down the notes with the hold buttons only to the beat. Last thing is the volume control like blue and pink things. It may be something like playing the Breakout game where turning clockwise or anti-clockwise moves the paddle with the paddle controller but then there are also directional hold notes where you have to turn those things in the correct rotation. By moving in the correct rotation, you end up moving the ruler indent like thing in the right direction. So let’s say that the blue note starts from the left lane all the way to the right lane as if the whole path is quite long, you have to rotate the blue Analog Device thing in the right rotation to ensure that the indent thing moves from left to right. During the blue and pink directional hold notes’ appearances, there will be lesser white notes so you have to learn how to multi-task in this game.

There are like three clear levels such as Standard Clear, Ultimate Chain Clear and Perfect Ultimate Chain Clear. Getting the Perfect rating is going to take you experience, skills, time and practice in rhythm games.

There are certain Vocaloid producers as well as IOSYS and Sound Holic for their Touhou works that you can recognize so it may be a good opportunity to try out their songs and renditions in this game. It’s going to take you a bunch of quarters to try everything out.

So hopefully, we get to see this game in the arcades around the whole Asia after I have completed the Case Study presentation in March 7th as well as the two remaining tests because I will use those preparations as revenge to that inferior faggot. I will try to make the Case Study presentation even better to prove my capability!

Bullet Soul and Space Invaders Pocket obtained

Now that’s the good combined price to spend on these two games, Bullet Soul and Space Invaders Pocket. For Bullet Soul, I already know that it is region free and it was recently in Games On Demand two months ago. There were then two more shmup games to get from Games On Demand this year. They were Deathsmiles and Mushimesama Futari. Speaking of Deathsmiles, I couldn’t even dare or risk to get the Rising Star Games version because that version is for PAL consoles and I guess that it is the wrong version to be on Games On Demand. The correct version happens to be the version that was recently in Games On Demand this year and that is what I can get. I was also told that Deathsmiles should be able to work on Asian Xbox 360 the last time when I bought Project Diva Extend. For Mushimesama Futari, how I can get that when the game is missing its box art or something. Instead, it’s showing us the blank sample art or some sort. Also, it is another region-free game but I guess I’m better without those DLC stuffs anyway as I need to spend on the other Microsoft points on other Xbox 360 games, whether they are from Games On Demand or XBLA games.
By then, those were what I should spend on instead of that freaking Targus presenter device for that shitty IAP presentation anyway like I wasted $60+. Thanks to that fucking inferior faggot who presented with me the other time, the whole $60+ and the presentation were already wasted completely but this time, I’m already driven the hardcore gaming through the epic arcade gaming so expect things to be more difficult. In fact, I even managed to one credit clear Bullet Soul with that female character whose ship fires the electric laser beams but unfortunately, I couldn’t get to the second loop. Still, I got to see the ending sequence but the true final boss or whatever was not seen in that FMV like the explosion came out of nowhere. To get to second loop, I guess that you have to be even better at this game.
However, the bullshit thing about Bullet Soul Games On Demand version is that I can’t get those DLCs like getting additional character and additional mode. That additional mode is like Hudson Soft Caravan Mode so expect things to be quite identical.

The false removal of Vocaloid videos on YouTube

Hmm, at least I still have my Nico Nico Douga account all along in case redundancy is needed by using the Personal Continuity Technology method which is the personal edition of Business Continuity method. Well, I admit that I have some of those videos related to Vocaloid on YouTube. However, the removal of those videos is not probably due to some governmental actions. It is rather by someone crazy to do that for some rivalry reason. This has angered many of the fans as if the fan-war is bound to begin but don’t worry about it.

Now imagine this, play a song in rhythm games or any other game in hardcore difficulty or make your work even more advanced than ever then you’re found out by some faggots doing something so difficult or advanced that they are going crazily jealous at you. It’s like they want to confiscate your advanced stuffs for good if you’re not redundant enough and especially for the other online storage locations containing the same stuffs nobody knows of. Another retarded thing is that they may also want you to simplify things a lot in gaming by playing the simple looking ones.
