Sound Voltex Booth

Wow, another rhythm game from Konami under the latest Benami entry! Unlike the previous rhythm games by Konami, this one contains a series of songs with Vocaloid technology. There are exclusive ones that use that technology as well as the recycled songs from the previous rhythm games. Unfortunately, there were downsides for some of the remixed songs put in this game. How could the producer screw up Evans from Jubeat like that for this game?

So from what I saw, the speed is really crazily fast depending on the song you choose as well as the difficulty. The Beatmania like beatmap may seem to be having less notes than ever as to fit in the gameplay of Sound Voltex Booth. You have four standard buttons that behave like Beatmania but all you can do with them is the white notes. There are hold notes but those belong to the hold buttons in which you have to hold down the notes with the hold buttons only to the beat. Last thing is the volume control like blue and pink things. It may be something like playing the Breakout game where turning clockwise or anti-clockwise moves the paddle with the paddle controller but then there are also directional hold notes where you have to turn those things in the correct rotation. By moving in the correct rotation, you end up moving the ruler indent like thing in the right direction. So let’s say that the blue note starts from the left lane all the way to the right lane as if the whole path is quite long, you have to rotate the blue Analog Device thing in the right rotation to ensure that the indent thing moves from left to right. During the blue and pink directional hold notes’ appearances, there will be lesser white notes so you have to learn how to multi-task in this game.

There are like three clear levels such as Standard Clear, Ultimate Chain Clear and Perfect Ultimate Chain Clear. Getting the Perfect rating is going to take you experience, skills, time and practice in rhythm games.

There are certain Vocaloid producers as well as IOSYS and Sound Holic for their Touhou works that you can recognize so it may be a good opportunity to try out their songs and renditions in this game. It’s going to take you a bunch of quarters to try everything out.

So hopefully, we get to see this game in the arcades around the whole Asia after I have completed the Case Study presentation in March 7th as well as the two remaining tests because I will use those preparations as revenge to that inferior faggot. I will try to make the Case Study presentation even better to prove my capability!
