This year’s TGS with PS4, Xbox One and GCCX game

Well, the recent episodes of Game Center CX might have made me blog about the Playstation 4 and Xbox One’s Japanese releases. Sure, they will be released in Japan next year but as of now, there may be western-made games for both consoles so we may to wait for the games for those consoles made in Japan. We don’t know what those games are at this moment but the preview at this year’s Tokyo Game Show might be a nice opportunity.

In addition, at Bandai Namco booth, there will be the third game based on the TV show that will be available next year on Nintendo 3DS. Interestingly enough, it is developed by G-Rev in which we know them for their games like Border Down, Under Defeat, Senko No Ronde, etc. It’s not the first time that the TV show was involved at Tokyo Game Show though. There might be previous games based on that show for Nintendo DS where you play the retro-style games. Well, the show is all about the challenge of completing retro games within 24-hours or less or the challenge will be the failure. The main objective is to beat the game with the true ending but doing so will not be an easy task so the hints are provided during the show.

Google’s policies are forbidden by law according to Dutch privacy regulator

We may have remembered on how Microsoft was criticizing Google the last with the Scroogled campaign but they might seem to have gone to other paths into bashing on other products Google’s having as part of competition. It’s like they had already told their users that they were fooled by Google, saying that Google has been collecting private information of the users for some unknown purpose. What about Microsoft then? Are they doing the same thing as well?

Last year, the change of privacy policy from Google had already made them look like cyber-corporate betrayals to the users in which your emails from your Google account were already collected without your knowledge for instance. Perhaps the interesting special video commercials from Google didn’t even help enough encourage you to use their products. They surely did to us last year but now, it looks like the betrayal had already started this year when the huge spying scandal already occurred. I might have already ditched the usage of various Google services like Google Plus, Drive and Gmail. Maybe I don’t give a shit of them in favor of other popular services like Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, AOL Mail and Sina Mail.

So in the end, it may seem that Google is in trouble for violating some European law by collecting data of users’ private information and we’ll see how the regulator is looking at enforcement measures against them in the upcoming DPA hearing. And Google’s way of ‘Telling Your World’ to use their products last year is more like betraying it.

SITEX IT Show November 2013 Edition

Sure are new ones to take a look at. The Hall4B consists of the major gaming area with the Pioneer DJ booth just after the entrance but at Halls 5 and 6, they may be full of IT technology consisting of mobile devices, computers, ISPs and TVs to take a look at.

The newest technology so far is Toggle by Mediacorp and holy shit, it’s so limited that you can buy that product at Singapore Expo until December 1st which is the last day. What this does is to make the sound louder by placing your mobile device on top of it. It may be something like placing the Wii Remote on the tissue box and you do the tapping to cause the vibration but here, when it comes to Toggle, your mobile device’s internal sound is causing the vibration which causes its speakers to vibrate as well. Plus, there’s even the set of cables for charging your mobile device via the portable charger. Also, you can buy the subscription that allows you to view the foreign content through your mobile device. Similar to what ViewQwest allows you to on your mobile device through the FreedomVPN but just like ViewQwest, you may need to buy the subscription extension online in which you will have to pay monthly fees.

At ViewQwest, I may have some concerns regarding Crunchyroll as if not all animes can be viewed there even with the free account probably due to living in Singapore and that can be the problem for us. The worse thing for us is that, certain animes we want to watch at Crunchyroll give us the previews as if the time length is quite short which is something we don’t want. Perhaps we’re more limited probably due to ISPs here blocking the shit out of Crunchyroll. But at ViewQwest booth, I didn’t know how the hell did they get through the restriction like I could watch whatever I knew of. Is it due to FreedomVPN being inside the router or perhaps the computer?

The last surprise is that there may be Microsoft tablet devices as I saw running Windows 8.1. It wasn’t much of a surprise to me as I have already known the types of computers a lot like what am I interested in when it comes to IT shows will be the new technology to be shown off there.

The last truth was that I wanted to buy the Pioneer DJ stuff home only to find that all the stuffs there are so expensive starting from $300+ and above but even then, I’m more of a bedroom producer than the DJ to be frank like there’s not enough reason for me to buy one such equipment like that home.

Last discovery is the Lenovo tabletop PC. What a cool thing like it’s a touchscreen computer on the table that is for home use. It may be useful for the family when it comes to casual games, but to business users, this PC may be more or less personal to them as if they can mimic the experience in using the tabletop PC in the business places. Sort of like the ones seen at Singtel room in the shopping complexes where you can explore the catalogs there.

Microsoft to encrypt more of their data to prevent NSA spying

Well, there might be multiple programs the NSA has been using to spy on the Microsoft users and Microsoft is trying to encrypt the data to prevent further spying from happening. The recent program, MUSCULAR, is targeting the traffic and data from Google, Yahoo and others and it may be reason on why Microsoft is trying to protect the users even further. But we don't know if those idiots can try to take stupid actions against Microsoft like landing them in court for going against their programs for instance.
Now, it may seem that the new Kinect device may be free from the bad motives but it cannot be the same for various Microsoft services and programs such as BitLocker, Windows OSes, Office 365, Internet Explorer, Windows Server OSes, Hotmail, Windows Live, Skype and so on.
One more thing, I might have forgotten to talk about the upcoming sports related events that will fall victim to the similar cyber-spies as well that will be coming in next year but then, I'm not into sports to be honest so my plans to blog about those were scrapped as those events to blog with may require more details.

Xbox One’s interaction with the commercial?

It’s kind of shameful on the makers for making the Kinect overly powerful enough to start this kind of technical craziness. Basically, the commercial of the Xbox One is displayed on TV and says out the command that turns on the console in your home itself. Perhaps there may be flaws with voice command barrier. The Kinect device is NOT supposed to follow orders from strangers! What if someone says out the commands from the outside or other side of the room?

It’s annoyingly confusing that the owners who have bought this console may have some sort of technical complaints. What were the makers of this new Kinect thinking like they forgot to check for additional flaws? What about the Kinect device for the previous console and PC? What about the Playstation 4 camera then? Will there be same flaws as what the Xbox One Kinect has? Your best bet will be to get the console and the Kinect device completely powered off and disconnected when not in use.

Kinect for Windows Version 2 Developer Preview

Apparently, those private stuff collection bullshits we mentioned against this device were of no more so this is likely to be a good news for Windows Kinect users. This new Kinect device will be released next year in order to evolve the full body motion technology even further. During the launch of Xbox One two days ago, there was even the Developer Preview version of this device sent to the testers.

From Kinect for Windows official blog, there’s even the beta version of the SDK in which the developers who signed up for the program will get the ongoing SDK updates and the final version of the device sensor during the product release.

If Microsoft can keep up with the freedom like that after the launch of Xbox One, then it may be reasonable to buy both that console and the Windows version of the new Kinect. Until then, we may have to wait until Kinect for Windows is released next year as the amount of freedom isn’t that high enough for the technology users.

Well, even with this kind of news, I don’t give a shit about the Kinect for gaming purposes. I can probably try to use that device to try out some technology for whatever things I want to work on but there’s no way to know where to buy the Windows version of this device from the retail store. So, I guess that there will be more products of next year to be blogged here.

Office 2013 Service Pack 1 coming early next year

Next year, there will be upcoming Service Pack 1 for the latest Office, SharePoint and Exchange products. This may deliver performance enhancements, feature updates and improve compatibility with Windows 8.1 which was already out months ago that Windows 8 users should upgrade to 8.1 whenever possible. OK, what else is there to say about this upcoming service pack? There isn’t much else to say from this official link: http://blogs.office.com/b/office-news/archive/2013/11/20/office-2013-service-pack-1-coming-early-next-year.aspx.

Office 365 Message Encryption

It seems that Google already has the full encryption on most of its service but it seems that Outlook.com is like a complete joke due to lack of encryption. This one’s powering the Office 365 services along with Windows Azure Rights Management which is part of E3 and E4 plans. Well, thankfully, the new Outlook site may seem to be part of the Office 365 cloud technology where you can use this new message encryption feature to encrypt your messages through your Office 365 ID or Microsoft account.

From the Message Encryption interface, it appears to be based on the Outlook Web App, in which Office 365 webmail is also using. With Message Encryption, you can customize the disclaimer text and header text in your company’s encryption emails as well as the company Logo and portal text that appear in your encrypted emails.

Office 365 Message Encryption will be available in the first quarter of next year and it is probably available for business users.

New firmware for LG Smart TV stops the spying

A smart move is that the LG had admitted that their TVs are spying on the users that the complaints were already filed and now that they’re planning on making the new firmware that stops this from happening. It’s like their TVs are doing what the Xbox One Kinect will do except that it may seem that the real betrayal nowadays is likely to be Google Plus for having similar spying feature for advertisement purposes when we may probably think that the companies have some motives in working with the spying agencies.

However, we don’t know if the promise to stop this spying is real as the users who have bought the LG Smart TVs are already complaining about it.

Full user communication encryption by Yahoo in April next year

Well, it seems that some companies like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft ,etc. are trying to regain trust by trying to distance themselves from those stupid spying programs everybody knows of but it may appear that they may be forced to contribute even further or their business will come to a halt with some stupid fines.

However, we don’t know if they are trying to distance themselves away or something. What if this whole thing is a lie like they’re trying to make more data collection reports? Even with the high amount of encryption system Yahoo’s going to get next year, that will not be enough against those stupid spies.

Lastly, what is Yahoo planning to do is that they are planning to encrypt not only its E-mail service, but also all data sent to and from the company’s data servers.

PrimeSense–Bought by Apple

This week, the Xbox One will be launched along with its new controversial Kinect device that consumers are forced to buy when buying that console. At least, the first Kinect device was good enough for technology users and it was developed by PrimeSense which has just been brought up by Apple. Perhaps there must be a Kinect-like device that supports the IOS devices and some IOS games already happen to be using that device invented by PrimeSense. I may have known one of those Sega IOS rhythm games that does that but I still have to know more info about that game. It may be something like Dance Central, Dance Evolution or Just Dance, I don’t know.

Additional information from the news can be found at Engadget and Slashgear websites respectively. After PrimeSense was bought by Apple, it seemed that that Microsoft was on its own inventing their own Kinect for Xbox One and there will be the Windows version that will be coming in next year which is sort of like adding additional fire to the fuel against the freedom months after Xbox One is released.

Xbox One Demonstration with Kinect

Didn’t you remind yourself already that each button to be selected with EyeToy takes a few seconds? At least for the Wii Remote and Playstation Move, you can press a button after pointing the cursor at some button for instant-clicking although I don’t know how the cursor is moved with the Wii Remote by the way since I don’t have the Wii or the Wii U.

Startup-wise, the Xbox One console is claimed to start up fast just like Windows 8 does but then, the console is pretty much divided into multiple parts such as the Windows OS and game section. It seems that the main OS is something like Windows Server Hyper-V that tries to emulate both that I can’t guarantee that the console may boot up that fast after some time. If the games and other stuffs are all in one OS for that console, then it may have the chance to boot up that fast.

There may be some abilities taken from Windows 8 that can be done with Kinect but then, having these may somewhat conflict with the Kinect games and having a touchpad for the controller combined with the Windows 8 Laptop Touchpad control features can make a headache even worse for the users.

Once again, I still find the voice command to be kind of embarrassing to use so I turned it off on my Xbox 360 console.

Playstation Exec takes a shot at Kinect

Great thing was that the Playstation 4 was launched a few days ago or something and compared to Xbox One, its camera accessory is optional. Sure I don’t give a fuck of some accessory like this to interact like that but it seems that I already have an idea on what project to do that makes use of that accessory.

Also, not all types of games are suitable to make use of the Kinect accessory and especially when the games are under the same game genre. Sure, not all kinds of sports can be implemented with this technology but it seems that some games are already the failure for implementing some sports games that are thought to be too complicated in terms of concepts.

So in the end, it seems that this kind of technology is going towards future technology implementation instead of gaming as if the standard game controller is being stuck back according to the SCE America CEO. Maybe the touchpad on the PS4 controller is good enough for gaming but can it be good enough for MMORPG and strategy games? I bet that MMORPG games on PS4, a keyboard or keypad may be needed.

Beatmania IIDX 21 Spada Ustream

THIS IS SPAAADAAAAAAAAA! OK, you should have known the 300 reference when it comes to the upcoming sequel to Beatmania IIDX 20 Tricoro. Good thing about Ustream is that if you have missed the live stream, you can watch it later as the live streams are stored on the site like forever.

The upcoming sequel is dark fantasy looking and especially when the title screen writes out the word, Spada with the sword which looks quite amazing. However, the background is static in terms of animation and the other background layer is like moving upwards. I guess the screen is divided into three after the word writing. At first, the backgrounds are gray-ish and there’s one more background layer that is rotating. I probably expect some real fire animation in the title screen but that will be difficult to produce.

The voice is low-pitch male like trying to fit in the dark fantasy theme. It’s in Game Start screen, Music Select screen, Mode Select screen and the Game Result screen. However, some parts of the game have traces of the previous game which may seem to be an inaccurate move compared to those gothic skins used in Lunatic Rave 2. It’s like there may be difficulty for players to look at if everything is completely changed including the in-game frame. Sure, the in-game frame is still looking like the previous game but the video section has its frames changed.

At the stage result screen, for whatever reason, the sound of the crowd is like having a victory in battle when you clear a song. After the stage result, the door eventually closes and the game moves on to either Music Select screen or the Game Result screen.

However, this is all you can see at UStream until the game is out. There’s some trick you can toggle Double and Single mode at Music Select screen as seen in the live stream. The game will be out in November 13 in the middle of the KAC Prelim rounds. I don’t know what the song list is like for Tricoro folder in the next game once it’s out but until then, we have a few days left of Tricoro. Music in IIDX Spada is orchestral, sort of like playing those traditional fantasy RPG games or some sort.

OneGuide for Xbox One in UK next year

TV, TV, TV, SPORTS, SPORTS, SPORTS? WELL, STOP IMPLEMENTING THINGS LIKE THESE! I don’t watch those shows even if they are watchable on the game console! WHERE ARE THE EASTERN TV SHOWS AND MUSIC IN MICROSOFT FREAKING TECHNOLOGIES? At least Apple has ALL kinds of music contents MADE AROUND THE GLOBE!

OK, the thing here is that the OneGuide will be part of the Xbox One in the US but it will be delayed until next year in the UK. And that’s all they have with bringing us external TV channels even in Asia Set-Top Boxes?

Also, there will be large of multimedia apps that will be available for that console but the company right now doesn’t know on how many of them that will be ready for the actual launch date. Another thing is, the users can find and watch TV shows via the freaking Kinect. What about the use of remote controls or the game controller for that app? If Kinect is the only way, then you’re better off watching those TV shows via the ISP’s Set-Top Box, not the one for the freaking console.

Facebook, the optionless betrayal by data collection?

While Google and Microsoft have their technical motives to collect your private stuffs for advertisement purposes, you can pretty much turn those features off like they have already promised over the users’ raging concerns. However, it seems that Facebook is starting to become the next betrayal for sure. Right now, we don’t know if there’s a way to turn off that technical motive Facebook is going to have against its users.

So when it comes to data collection, it seems that your mouse movements are Facebook’s first victim but we still have some more months before Facebook will eventually betray us technically. So if you mouse over a link or perhaps an ad, you’re pretty much spied.

And at the moment, it seems that Facebook is collecting two types of data from its members such as demographic and behavioral. Demographic is all about you, your location, y our school, your workplace, etc while behavioral is all about your friends, your likes of posts and other stuffs, etc. This is all absolutely BULLSHIT for the users as if the lawsuits against the spying agencies have been LIES!

Lastly, the new datacenter is likely to be coming soon in March next year so we don’t know if this kind of technical betrayal will arrive on that day.

Xbox One Privacy Policy updated before launch

We don’t know if your data will or will not be collected for advertisement as if we don’t believe if this is the truth or not but that was some previous news discovered from Neowin. We’re talking about the latest news taken discovered from that site site. The privacy policies are recently updated this week before the console’s launch in November 22nd.

According to the update, it states that the authentication information stays on the console and is not shared with anyone but we don’t know if this is the same for other features of the Xbox One Kinect such as the Xbox Music, Xbox SmartGlass and more. ‘Captured for Analysis’ for voice commands? What if that falls under that same motive? For me, I don’t give a shit about it so I turned it off on my Xbox 360 system but the fact is that I don’t want to use that feature as it may seem to be either embarrassing or inappropriate for me.
