About the lawsuit someone came up with as stated in the forum thread, they even wanted Sega to be involved in suing Lab Zero Games over that character added in the game. I don't know if that is a reference to the S***c franchise which I don't give a native and faithful shit about but at least, S****Fox is a better character than that retarded and eccentric S***Chu comic franchise whose comic books and merchandises were like sold illegally without any official approval from both Sega and Nintendo. In fact, you can even come up with your own nickname/artist name that has the word S***c in it except that it has NOTHING TO DO with that S***c franchise. I've already seen some artists/DJs having that word in their professional alias. I even played some games that have that word in their game name.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore Steam version - Controversial addition of S****Fox
Skullgirls is one great fighting game including its 2nd Encore edition upgrade and many versions of it were released in the past years but the recent addition of S****Fox as the background character in Skullgirls has angered the fans of the game and the genre, resulting in review-bombing the Steam version as well as the forum thread that would include the lawsuit or some sort. For that person, they're more or less an E-Sports player with an unusual persona route like he represents himself as a blue-and-white anthropomorphic fox. They're part of the fandom that has things about the animal characters with human personalities and characteristics. Such kinds of fictional characters already existed in the past as well as human-like characters based on the fictional monsters like those from the Pokemon franchise for instance. As an E-sports player involved in EVO events, they even overpowered other players in some tournaments. I guess that their character is one reason people frown upon or something and their addition in Skullgirls as the background character had caused some anger.

Sony's censorship policy in games (Part 2)
Last year, there had been news regarding Sony's controversial censorship policy in video games but this time, there's a confirmation on where did the reason come from. Someone from the radicalized MeToo movement had manipulated Sony into censoring stuffs in mature games, mostly the mature Japanese games like Senran Kagura series, various visual novels, Omega Labyrinth-Z, etc. Those kinds of games are famous for the large amount of fanservice stuffs as well as the fact that there are some mini-games or modes where you can interact with the characters in anyway you want including things that are distasteful to certain people. Seriously, if you find this kind of stuff distasteful, why do you want to take a look at those games or even buy/try and play them in the first place? It's not like video games may cause negative influence on grown adults. Grown adults already know the difference between reality and fantasy.
To put a blame in movies, video games, dramas, cartoons and other media contents over 'negative influence' is already bullshit enough. Plus, to take actions of false justice like censoring those things in those Japanese-made games is going to anger the fans and it's already wrong. And don't even be stupid enough to play the same games on the laptop computer, PS Vita or even the Switch elsewhere as if your home is probably the safe way although there's still no guarantee in my opinion.
Even some of the AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Devil May Cry 5 are affected by this situation as well like some even parts are censored for the same reason but this is mature atmosphere for a mature game, mind you. I don't know if this is okay like that for those AAA games or not but it seems that it's not as Sony has gone too far in the censorship policy, ranging from censoring things in those niche Japanese games to even some AAA mature games. I also don't know if even the Playstation Vita is affected by the same policy as well.
For Cyberpunk 2077, there's one part where the main character goes to the scavenger base to stumble upon a bunch of naked bodies there, both male and female. That's something to do with the trans-human concept stuff like it's some kind of an experiment. Again, I don't know if people may find real evil experiments distasteful or not if there are ones in existence in the future. The story seems to be dark like it's taking place in a dark future. As this is one of the AAA games that's going to be affected by the on-going censorship policy, the alternatives will be to buy the same game on the other platforms which have everything intact.
Overall, the policy Sony came up with is more controversial than before and it's not a good idea to begin with. For a strictness like this, you can't tell if it is real or not. And for protection of children stuff, this policy is going in a wrong direction. You can come up with a house policy against your children playing those kinds of games even when they're fully grown but to get a company like Sony to come up with a policy like that is already causing outrage among the players. To the west, there are people who may find that sort of fanservice kind of weird or distasteful but that's cultural difference for you.
And because of that policy, there might be delays for the release of such games on Playstation 4 in the west or even worse, cancellation and people got pissed as a result. The ESRB rating had been there for review of the games to see if they are mature or not ever since the time the controversy went on about the past games like Mortal Kombat and Night Trap for instance although Night Trap seemed to be rated T for some reason.
Then, there are additional questions below.

- Isn't Nintendo supposed to be a family-friendly game company to begin with?

Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds Overdrive on Switch
I forgot to blog about the Switch release of Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds Overdrive which sort of came out like this year or something. It is likely to be based on the Playstation 4 port with additional contents, additional shaders, additional enemies on screen as well as different soundtrack. It's a shame that there were rarely gameplay videos of the entire game on the Playstation 4 at the time after the game's release although there were already tons of them of the other versions. I don't know the difference between the Switch and the Playstation 4 versions although I already made guesses that the Switch version is identical to the Playstation 4 version.
Perhaps, people were already interested with next-gen looking Playstation 4 games as if they fulfilled the standards of the next-gen console. This on the other hand, had graphical enhancements when ported to Playstation 4. Sure, it looks like an indie-style game that whatever enhancement is unnecessary but this is made by the actual company. The other games whose graphics are like one generation behind the Playstation 4 are probably Darius Burst Chronicle Saviours, Super Stardust Ultra as well as the other games originally released on Type X2 and Ringedge 2 for the arcades. Obviously, it is quite unnecessary for the developers to redo the graphics from scratch for the sake of fulfilling the standards of the next-gen console as those games started off in the arcades originally.
The bigger reason of playing Phantom Breaker and its spinoff is the guest characters like the ones from Steins Gate and Chaos Head series and the 5PB visual novel games are still on-going as we speak.

King of Fighters 97 Global Match
There's probably not much to say about King of Fighters 97 Global Match on Playstation 4, Vita and Steam as it's essentially a re-release with online match support. It may be the same for other classic SNK games released on modern gaming platforms with wallpapers and stuffs instead of the interface you know of from Hamster Arcade Archives.
I don't know who actually ported King of Fighters 97 to those platforms mentioned above but there is one particular fact I know of. The game is so much popular in China and we already know that SNK as you know it was acquired by the Chinese company so expect the King of Fighters franchise to grow even bigger than ever like it already did with comics, short-animations based on KOF Maximum Impact series as well as the 3D animation produced by a Chinese company which you can watch on SNK's official YouTube channel.
Also, don't expect something new for King of Fighters 97 Global Match like arranged music, redone graphics, etc. Although it has the new subtitle, it is not a remake like KOF 94 is remade on Playstation 2 as King of Fighters 94 Rebout. There may be a beat-em-up game on mobile named King of Fighters 97 OL but keep in mind that it is a spinoff, not a remake. It may be the same for King of Fighters 98UM OL but that's a tale for another time.
There may be Gallery Mode where you can view high resolution artworks as well as other game modes in addition to the Arcade Mode.

Persona 3 & 5 Dancing spinoffs
Unlike Persona 4 Dancing All Night, Persona 3 and 5 spinoff dance games have a non-canon story mode and the interactions between characters take place in the Velvet Room which looks like a club, the same setting as in Persona 4 Dancing All Night. The character interaction is different this time as you get to interact with the characters from both games. The settings are taken from the original Persona games rather in a brand new location like in Persona 4 Dancing All Night. The dance moves in Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night will be acrobatic based while the ones in Persona 5 Dancing Star Night will be realistic dance based.
There will also be the Playstation 4 release of Persona 4 Dancing All Night as a digital download and both games will be released in May this year in Japan. For the protagonists of Persona 3 & 5, they have an actual name this time with the protagonist of Persona 3 having the same name as the one in Persona 3 animated movie.

Superbeat XONIC for Switch
Originally, the game was released on Playstation Vita being getting the Playstation 4 and Xbox One releases. The Switch version is the next version to happen as this is the second portable console version next to the Playstation Vita version. It will have all the songs along with the songs that are previous DLCs for the previous console releases. One bonus celebration is that the new DLC-songs will be free for Switch users. The same DLC-songs will be available in Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions. I don't know if the Playstation Vita version will have those DLCs as well.
Basically, the game originated from the arcades as Beatcraft Cyclon although the home console versions are closely based on the Playstation Vita release and even the Switch version will follow as well. It's a similar story to how DJ Max Technika Q has similar rows of notes to DJ Max Technika Tune in which you get three rows of notes on each side instead of four rows as used in DJ Max Technika series in the arcades. Maybe the size of the device is more or less an important factor and it may be same for the upcoming Switch version of Superbeat XONIC.
The release date for the Switch version in the US will be sometime late this year although there was already a delay from the intended release date which was sometime a month ago.

Akiba's Beat Special Edition copy for Europe version - Controversy?
Well, whoever came up with this life-ruining Special Edition copy of Akiba's Beat for Europe release on PS4 and PS Vita, surely had ruined the entire purpose of what a cartoon/gaming nerd can be. Sure, only radicalized nerds may be filthy enough to buy the game through their heavy obsession with the Japanese animation stuffs like it's starting to get their parents worried about their future. This is pretty much it, the deepest of the barrel you can see from the European Special Edition copy of the game where people with no decent or professional ambitions like Doctors, Firefighters, Engineers, Basketball Players, etc. for instance, may grab the guts to buy the game as if they don't even care about their decent future. It doesn't matter if they bought it through Special Edition or Standard Edition copy but based on the content decency of the Japanese animation stuffs nowadays, we can design an infographic of the life altering level from Japanese animation stuff starting from the top level being the positive cartoon shows you can watch without any problems with the bottom one turning you into a future-less slacker once you watch any one of these at that level.
I have been seeing a couple of registration forms on various websites where even an Organization is needed to be filled in addition to your personal information and especially for your professional role depending on the form. Obviously, those kinds of stuffs welcome the employed and especially for some DJ pools which have the same kinds of criteria when registering. But in case of European version of Akiba's Beat Special Edition copy, this is all the opposite as if the copy applies to those who don't care about semi-decent or professional careers at all like they have no plans to begin one on their own. Not to mention that dropping out of school just for this bullshit or becoming a YouTuber is already a foolish idea.
This is already pissing me off upon seeing a news like that from Siliconera's Twitter account for the first time but it's not the only gaming news site, isn't it? If you don't care for Akiba's Beat like you have no interest whatsoever, good for you.

Project Diva X
It may be time to move on to the next generation with Project Diva X for Playstation Vita and Playstation 4 where we may expect some new graphics that challenge the potential of the Playstation 4. In the present time, the Playstation Vita version was already out but the problem against buying it is that the game has story mode in addition to Free Play mode. Not to mention that the main menu takes place in the Diva Room and you'll be requested for some stuffs for real as if the Diva Room is getting more improved even more in terms of behavior. Other flaws people know of are that the songs in Story Mode are played in lower difficulties and you need to unlock those songs through that mode.
Perhaps, I'm waiting for the English version to be out for full understanding of the Story Mode if I want to get through in the future.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax obtained!
This one should be manageable in one-credit, right? Even then, we should think again there may be a stronger boss fighter that replaces Akira as the last opponent. I don't know how do you face her instead of Akira but I guess that you have to be really damn good in surviving everything as well as to fulfill special conditions needed for that.
Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is a licensed fighting game developed by Ecole and French Bread, the developers behind Melty Blood and Under Night In-Birth featuring characters from various Dengeki Bunko franchises. Don't expect this to be as great as Under Night In-Birth or Melty Blood though as some of the Dengeki Bunko franchises are found to be mediocre to me. Another strange thing is the game design. Why is the game taking place in various places from various Sega games? That is attracting unwanted audience and a bad idea when that happens. Not to mention that some of the fighters have some serious disadvantage from the way they attack but then, most of the fighters are really epic and badass although it's not the same for some spoilt fighters in terms of behavior. If you have known those Dengeki Bunko franchises, your opinions may affect your opportunity of playing as various licensed playable characters.
Version 2.0 also known as Ignition edition will have the Ignition attack in addition to Climax Arts as well as the fact that you can change characters after each round. There will be additional characters and stages but that's how the game is updated to newer versions. It was already out in the arcades in July this year and there will be a console version coming for Playstation 3, 4 and Vita by the year-end. The original one was also out in the arcades last year with All.NET Plus support where you can use your Aime card to record your progress similar to Nesica X Live arcade games.

Taiko No Tatsujin V Version
Taiko No Tatsujin reboot is in the arcades in Japan and Asia starting from four years ago with the Japanese release with the Asian version being released last year but it appears that my country is not getting the latest Taiko No Tatsujin game which is the one in HD widescreen and that's a shame. Thankfully, the upcoming Taiko No Tatsujin game for the PS Vita might have popped up in the Asian PSN and I tried out the demo like it's the first Taiko No Tatsujin game I have ever played. I can assume that the PS Vita version should be out in the local retail stores in this present time. The PS Vita game of Taiko No Tatsujin is similar to the one on the PSP where you press on the corresponding buttons on time to the music. I guess that physical buttons are much more preferred as the screen is somewhat too small to incorporate the touch screen elements like the IOS and Wii U versions have.

Love Live School Idol Paradise
I don't know what went wrong with Dingo when developing a music game based on the multimedia animated franchise, Love Live School Idol Project. The overall graphics are equivalent to the graphical style of MMD or a PSP music game with 3D graphics. It's an epic disappointment when we saw the game in action before its release last year even when the game was finalized. We expected the graphics to be the same as the ones in Project Diva series just because the game was developed by Dingo, right? When a music game like this is developed by Dingo, you expect the graphical level to be as equal as Project Diva series level. The gameplay doesn't have to be exactly the same though.
Another disappointing impression was that the total amount of songs. Getting at least 30-40 songs should be an acceptable requirement for me but this is not supposed to be an exception because there should be tons of songs available to choose from and by the time you've reached the game's end, you might have chosen the same song, few songs or maybe several songs. I guess this is what the flow of the Idolmaster franchise is about like choosing costumes, accessories, idols to manage and of course, the songs but what increases the replay value is the large amount of choices. Like the Idolmaster PSP games, Love Live School Idol Paradise is split up into three and you can choose various costumes, stages and the songs as well as to adjust the stage settings. I guess that Love Live School Idol Paradise is the closer answer to Idolmaster Shiny Festa as it is more of a rhythm game with storyline than the idol management simulation game.
Perhaps, there should be game called School Idol Producer or something but Love Live related or not , that will break the originality and rip off the former competing franchise that there will be lawsuits from Bandai Namco because its existence can cause a serious war over these two franchises despite their differences in concept even when the awesome collaboration of these two franchises took place this year. Hell, even one of the songs from Love Live School Idol Project franchise is playable in Taiko No Tatsujin but that's pretty much it as if Bandai Namco has no plans to put in additional songs from the that franchise at this moment and it's already a limited opportunity.
And of course, what's up with the part where you have to draw the on-screen symbol for a boost? That is unnecessary and it should belong to some kids game on the DS or 3DS. Sure, the game itself may be suited for teenagers and above and especially for the fans of the franchise but that feature is a strange move to me.
The game overall is pretty much a disappointment to the fans as if they may stick on to playing School Idol Festival on IOS and Android due to sufficient contents and replay value. As of this time, there are already songs in School Idol Festival taken from the animated movie that was already in theaters months ago in Japan and it was also in theaters outside Japan recently. I imagine that when the music starts, the fans at the cinema theaters may end up turning the whole place into a concert which may be strange to those who watch tons of movies but not the Japanese animated ones but be warned, there will be spoilers and I don't know the entire plot of the movie at this time. I guess that a huge amount of sadness awaits those who watch it provided that they know the plot of the TV animated series season 2. Again, you won't find information here about what went on in that show but there should be references to both seasons 1 and 2 in School Idol Festival game which is still on-going and I'm still lagging behind the latest chapters due to painful grinding that I have to face.

Persona 4 Dancing All Night
*Sigh* More rhythm games on Playstation Vita are coming in and even IA/VT Colorful is released this year after some delays and the announcement from last year. This one to a surprise is developed by Altus with Dingo being excluded due to the reshuffling of the game development staff. I don't know why did they exclude Dingo like that but the gameplay should look and feel familiar to you if you have played Project Diva games. Somehow, the gameplay concept to me is sort of like Project Diva mixed with Maimai/Samba De Amigo because the notes appear from the center of the screen and the on-screen keys such as the buttons/arrows at the end are placed in circles.
Another surprise is the fact even DJ Dolce has played the game in the official live stream and somehow, he's like the master of the genre, able to manage every rhythm game he can show off and especially that he's played other rhythm games like Chunithm, Drummania, etc.
As a spinoff of the Persona series, there are songs taken from other Persona games as well as the songs exclusively new to this one. I don't know if I'll get some time to arrange any of these as well as to buy the game itself. Needless to say, there are way so many songs, costumes, accessories and other stuffs available as DLC and I guess that it may have outnumbered the number of DLCs from Project Diva games due to to tons of fan requests or something.

Super Stardust Ultra
To be frank, I've never played any of Housemarque games before. The interesting discovery of Housemarque games started with Resogun for Playstation 4 which is one of the launch games. It is also available on Playstation 3 and Vita with downgraded visuals. It was seriously interesting from what I saw like tons of vowels and particles scattered on screen that it takes up the most amount of hardware resources of Playstation 4 system. The Playstation 3 and Vita versions are having those things reduced while leaving various graphical effects intact. However, the Playstation 4 has additional game modes that other versions don't have like those DLC exclusive modes that inlcude Protector Mode, Demolition Mode, Challenge, Commando Mode and so on.
For Super Stardust Ultra, the planets look different and so are the spacey backgrounds. Even the soundtrack is different as well and the Playstation 4 version features cinematic cutscene for every stage. A new mode exclusive to Playstation 4 version is the live stream mode in which like other gaming live streams, there may be people trying to deliver some help or cause some disturbance to the player. Of course, there are controversies taking place in live streams like those naughty idiots pulling those criminal level pranks like getting the player or someone else s***ted or something. These kinds of behaviors are really offensive and can land those idiots into trouble like what already happened last year so you'll need some security when planning out your gaming live stream.
Gameplay in Super Stardust HD is like Asteroids and Geometry Wars mixed together. In the original, it's more or less an Asteroids clone but the original has the 3D stages that are kind of like Galaxy Force II or Space Harrier and that version has rendered CGI graphics for both 2D and 3D gameplay. It surely pushes the limits of the later Amiga hardware and there's also the DOS version in existence to the test. Unlike the original version, you get full controls of the ship with two analog sticks and each stage has all phases taking place on each planet with no interruptions. The original version has phases scattered throughout each stage, sort of like Galaga 88 on versions excluding PC-Engine and Game Gear versions. If you want a giant map representing a stage in Super Stardust, that will require warping from one phase to another for a short time. Super Stardust HD removes all those time-wasting elements from the original.
There are other ports of Super Stardust HD such as PSP version, PS Vita version and of course, the PS4 version. Each version has different name, soundtrack and other differences as well.

Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds Overdrive
The Playstation 4 version that was released this year has the additional skills, 16-bit BGM as well as higher amount of enemies to deal with. There are also special magic spells that cause lots of money or other items, summon various attacks or do the recovery. It surely makes things overall intense with lots of enemies on the battlefield but it can mean the increase of difficulty overall like you're going to have a hard time in higher difficulty even at the highest power. In addition, there are other changes in this version as well such as different announcer, the way the enemy disappears or takes damage and the real fog effects. These changes may be strange to be frank and they still don't increase the Playstation 4 usage level much further and especially for the insane amount of enemies and items on screen which are the only major resource usages of the system. Also, the retroness level is getting that less due to the fog, lighting effects and other effects the retro game systems are not able to handle. Even certain sound effects are not retro at all.
Having to level up and unlock skills is a tedious task and that concept to me should not be in the game. Also, another strange thing is that other characters are completely powerless that they are seriously weak in the first place and the worse thing about Arcade Mode is that there's no way you can strengthen the characters after every stage. Lastly, the Playstation 4 version worsens things a little bit with the decrease of retroness level by adding real fog and lighting effects which are way beyond many retro game systems can do.
These enhancements mentioned above can also be in other versions of the game as well but I don't think that will happen at anytime.

Uta Kumi 575 obtained!
Oh man, the soundtrack if not, the song list isn't that great for this game that some of the songs may be memorable. The worse thing is that I may want to know what the rest of the game is like and all the official gameplay videos posted by the ones at Sega behind the game's official YouTube channel are using the Middle version of the songs. However, not all songs are video-posted there like I don't know what the rest of the game is like. The Long version of the songs may be really tough as if you have to know all parts of the songs compared to Middle which consists of first and second varses and choruses. As the difficulty name suggests, the songs may be really long and the notecharts may be somewhat different.
The first thing when you start the game is that the first year of the school starts in May and according to the character profiles, it seems that you start off in the first year but when you check the song list by month, you may have already predicted that it goes from May all the way to April next year. Each month has its own different songs and to proceed to the next month, you are to clear the story along with the Short and Middle versions of the songs.
There's also the arranged lyrics list which consists of the same songs but with different lyrics. It may be an example in the comedy show where the song is sung with some unusual but funny lyrics. Speaking of arranged lyrics, you can also modify the lyrics yourself provided that you have purchased enough input elements from the shop. From there, you can choose whichever words you want to replace specific parts of the lyrics with as well as to change the background and the outfits. Even better is that you can use this editing mode to study the lyrics and the language so that you won't make a mistake in the same song the next time you play it.
For the gameplay, you're supposed to input the right words in the right order on time to the music. If you're too late, that portion will be blank and blank parts won't be sung. The repetitve thing is that blank parts will be replaced with the "lalala" like thingy in the replay. That's right, if there are mistakes you've made in the replay, those things will be there. But if you input the wrong words, the words in wrong order or both, they will still be sung and you won't be penalized for that. The downside for getting around this mistake is the fact that you won't get the highest grade at the end of the song. To get the highest grade like in those videos I mentioned above, you're supposed to get full combo and 100% correct lyrics. Blanks won't be accepted though.
The last thing is that you will need enough Japanese knowledge if you want to play this game or you will end up anyhow playing it without knowing it like you can't seem to know what's going on. I do have some basic knowledge of it probably due to having self-learnt it from various contents seen on the internet but even then, I still end up messing up in this game and that's the tricky part.
For the game itself, you can't obtain it from the Asian PSN store so this one's an import copy and I paid $188 on the Premium Pack edition of this thing. I'm serious about that. It contains the straps which I have no idea how to attach them to the Vita or something as well as the wallet, school identity cards of the two characters and the Vita pouch which looks like some school pencil case or something. They surely look like the all-girls high-school themed accessories which may seem unusual for us to bring them outside as if you want to put in your own identity card inside that wallet from this game which can be kind of weird if you are male. Better still, stick on to using your own wallet and Vita pouch, not the ones from this game unless you're a female.
Perhaps some day, there will be songs from this game to be arranged in longer length. Sure, there were already those I arranged but the length was based on the Middle version of the songs. By then, you will already know that the game songs of this year will be updated.

Project Diva F 2nd Obtained!
Okay, I bought this game yesterday night after there were additional copies of it in stock that night and some customers already bought it before night. Also, that cost like $88 once the game was out. Well, I don't want to annoy anyone like that but I have been embarassed to mention out these things like this game and other stuffs I want to buy and support.
Nowadays, most of the Vocaloid songs in the arcade rhythm games are rock-based and especially for the ones in Project Diva F 2nd. In addition, certain songs that will be in this game already made it to other rhythm games before the game's release. Hmm, be it Maimai Green Plus, Sound Voltex II, or whatever. They are obviously licensed Exit Tunes songs but they should be listed as Vocaloid songs as well as not all Exit Tunes songs are Vocaloid songs actually so there's such a Category you can see in rhythm games in the arcades nowadays. You see the Exit Tunes, Vocaloid, Originals, Touhou Arrangements, etc. Speaking of Originals, we surely prefer the ones from Bemani games alot but for Vocaloid songs in rhythm games nowadays in the arcades, there may be tons of them in stores to play as if they were already our first reasons to play Maimai and Sound Voltex.
The music videos for the existing songs from the previous Project Diva games are remade with multiple endings and the intro video has those hovering stuffs that look like the ones from BTTF II. Yes, this is where you can compare those to the ones from BTTF II, not the ones from ***** Free Riders as that game is really terrible to me. The main menu is for some reason a futuristic/digital/cyber move in this game compared to previous Project Diva games. You move around with the touchscreen or D-Pad and 'the interactivity works'.
Plus, in AR Mode for the Vita version, you can have the Vocaloid character to perform in front of you. With all those improvements, it may look like a strange move to us as you may look like a freaking producer watching that character perform in front of you while you're holding your device. Also, the W scratch note is another strange one. You're supposed to slide the screen the same way you press the corresponding buttons from both sides at the same time to do the Arrow notes.
In the prequel, the song list kind of falls short until the DLC popped up that increased the song list but it wasn't that enough until this game was recently released which has 40 songs in total. Now that meets the 39-song objective but then, there should be more songs after the game's release if we want this next generation Project Diva series to be on par with the previous one.
The bottom-line, this series is a must buy for fans of the Vocaloid technology like us

Project 575 for IOS and Playstation Vita
This is another franchise we may be looking forward in addition to Project Diva series. The gameplay may be completely different as we can tell. It's that you have to tap the corresponding buttons when the notes approach down but be careful of the blue notes that in addition to tapping the corresponding buttons, you also have to tap the corresponding sides of the back touchpad of the console. Also, you get parts of the lyrics you have to insert on time but don't insert the wrong ones or the ones in wrong order as you will break the combo. When inserted on time, they will be sung even if you insert the wrong parts or the parts of the lyrics in wrong order. Of course, the results screen will tell you which ones are wrong and which ones are right but you can already know which ones are right or wrong from the bonus during the song. What a difficulty curve of the game if you don't know the Japanese language as if it may be one of the negatives of the game.
Another unncessary feature is the lyric arrangement which may make the lyrics being sung like ridiculous, funny or crap depending on the setup in which you may want the original lyrics even better. You can probably use this feature if you want something funny but don't put in anything offensive in the lyrics. It may be the same for the IOS app. The third downside of the game is that there's a lack of pop idol elements in the game. Instead, it's completely slice of life kind of the game and I don't know what the game ending is like. I may expect some kind of live idol stage in school with two characters performing in this game with some gameplay while retaining the 5-7-5 haiku concept which is interesting as hell.
Just like other rhythm games, not all songs are that great and the best ones are already in the game's soundtrack CD that is being managed by EXIT TUNES. Another interesting thing is that it's a Vocaloid kind of rhythm game by Sega similar to Project Diva series. The IOS app uses the same technology but the thing is, the lyrics have to be entered in 5-7-5 way. Downside of the IOS app is that you can't use both voicebanks at the same time and those voicebanks are IOS exclusive. So if you try to extract them and use them in the Vocaloid software on the computer, that is considered illegal and piracy. Since the game is not on Asian PSN, I'm afraid that there won't be some good chance for me to buy it one day. Maybe I'll check at the game stores to see if that is available. Man, it's like the Playstation Vita is starting to be full of rhythm games besides their exclusives including the popular games made in Japan for that console.

IA/VT Colorful for PS Vita
Another Vocaloid rhythm game to be released? That should be worth buying in addition to Megpoid: The Music on PSP. Shame that I wasn't able to find that game to buy for the PSP and it's not in the PSN Store either. This one features 60 songs and certain songs in this upcoming game are already in Groove Coaster arcade in which you should be to play before the game is out in July. Project Diva F 2nd is like out-numbered by this probably due to the disappointing number of songs but it seems that the developers don't want to put in the underrated songs like they already did in previous Project Diva games. They surely want the best songs so that people can play them but the problem is that the song list in Project Diva F 2nd doesn't meet the 39-song objective. Speaking of underrated songs, I don't know which songs in IA/VT Colorful are underrated. From the research, certain songs are already available to listen to and the rest are game-exclusive.
This is being produced by the person who produced Senran Kagura series and developed by Marvelous AQL. There will be some DLCs but I don't know if that is going to happen or not.

Magical Beat for PS Vita obtained
Originally in the arcades two years ago, the Playstation Vita release took place this year and after some time the Japanese version was released for the console, there's even the Asian release on Asian PSN in which I was finally able to play it and get the Nesica X Live like arcade experience.
Unfortunately, it looks like there isn't the online play feature for this version and instead, we get the ad-hoc feature in which it will disconnect the console from the network and perform ad-hoc connection. What a shame. I can assume that the arcade version has local network battle but then the game isn't that popular by then.
Firstly, the idea of putting Vocaloid music in a video game is a good thing but too bad it is done in the wrong way that the music sounds freaking repetitive compared to the rhythm games containing Vocaloid music I had ever played in the arcades such as Sound Voltex, Maimai, Project Diva, Groove Coaster, etc. The workaround is the alternative to this repetitiveness by putting in the music from other Arc System Works games such as Gulity Gear, Blazblue and so on. They sound even better and they are the better reasons to play this game.
Secondly, is the controls. Pressing down does nothing so you may have to use one of the buttons for instant drop. Also, there's another technique where you can scatter the pieces of the dropping block and placing them in specific location. I don't know how to do that and besides, I don't know how many buttons are there for the arcade version, is it 3 or 4? If it uses 4, things may have made more sense as if the forth button does something else to the dropping block.
Gameplay is something like Lumines but the way you merge the blocks is the use of Puyo Puyo method which means merging the blocks in any shape where-else in Lumines, you form a large rectangular shaped block by forming 2x2 of the same color. There can be 2x3 or 3x2 if you will for example but the minimum area you must form is 2x2. Just like Lumines, the merged blocks don't go off immediately once they are merged but unlike Lumines, you must time correctly when dropping the blocks instantly as the game is both the puzzle and rhythm game. Be on the lookout for nuisance blocks as well and the way you eliminate them is similar to the ones in Puyo Puyo series.

Project Diva F 2nd Update
The update looks interesting in which the Diva Room and Edit Mode are improved even more and so is the new gameplay mechanics but it can also mean the expensive prices for the console and the game's controller themselves.
In the Diva Room, you can deliver them presents and do some interactivity with them but doing either one of these too much can drive them mad. Even worse is that your presents may be rejected if you try to place too much stuffs in the room as if there's not enough space. Certain items cannot be given as presents so you have to place them yourself in the rooms for decoration. Other presents will trigger the cutscenes which may be another positive thing about the Diva Room. So, you should know what you're doing. Sometimes, they will request you for certain stuffs so you will need to follow those requests. Doing so successfully will increase the friendship levels quicker.
Unfortunately, some of the interactivities are impossible to do so between virtual and reality such as having to hug them. Some of the cutscenes that involve them doing something to you are kind of pointless as well. This is way much further than the prequel and the fever mode for that interactivity is obviously to make things more complicated.
There are existing songs from the previous games but with newer models and different scenes.
Project Diva F 2nd will be released for Playstation 3 and Vita on March 6th.
