Microsoft Movie Creator for Windows Phone and Windows 8

Both Windows Phone and Windows 8 are already struggling with the amount of good apps out there in comparison to IOS and Android which already have their own movie maker apps. Desktop apps like Windows Live Movie Maker and third-party ones don't count as we're talking about the Modern UI ones in which Windows Phone is heavily struggling with. What about the photo enhancement app for Windows Phone? I may assume that Windows 8 already has one with some third party apps which may be Photoshop Express or any other app that does the photo editing and enhancement as seen in the Windows App Store.
The worse thing is that there isn't any video editing app that isn't free entirely but this one surely arrives too late, leaving Windows Phone itself to be crippled due to lack of certain apps and games. Perhaps, it may be one of the on-going problems with Windows Phone as of today but we're not sure if the upcoming Windows 10 is going to cause additional good reasons to have more of those apps. As of Technical Preview days, nobody knows what the smartphone version of Windows 10 looks like.
There may be Themes for the videos in Movie Creator which may look like some sort of templates similar to the ones in third-party video editing programs and that feature is already part of Xbox One Upload Studio. I don't know if Playstation 4 has its own video editor app but editing a video like that on a home console is kind of awkward compared to using the portable touch screen devices for video editing which may have some ease. Perhaps, even the Playstation Vita should have its own video editor and photo enhancement apps as well as they can be comfortable in media editing thanks to the touch screen.

PhotoMath (Controversial educational app?)

Sure looks technically experimental to solve the mathematics problems for you but if the problems to us are manageable, you don't want to use this app at such kinds of moments like this as it is looking like you're cheating in doing your homework with this app. If that's the case of more retarded cheaters that will be attracted in the future thanks to this app, then the schools should ban this kind of app like this. All it does is to give you solutions instantly to whatever mathematical problems you're facing. You're better off getting solutions from your teachers, professors, friends or even tutors instead of this future controversy. They're basically dumbing down future students with this app no matter how many functional features it has in solving many types of mathematical problems.
Oh, difficult topics like calculus, multi-variable algebraic expressions? You should still be better off looking for solutions in the non-technical way because this kind of app is like a tool for cheaters to me. We want the proper learning tools in the world of technology, not the tools or features that attract cheaters. Genius people and hardworking learners won't be happy when they discover this controversial app.

Opera Mini for Windows Phone & Nokia X2 having Google services

As Nokia was purchased by Microsoft, anything related to Nokia will no longer be Nokia-ish piece by piece. The Nokia Windows Phones have the Nokia Xpress browser in addition to Internet Explorer and that Opera Mini will be the replacement. Also, it seems that the Nokia Android phones were done in a strange way that Microsoft added some Google services on them so that you can obtain more Android apps there while retaining Microsoft services and apps.
I don't know if the Nokia Android phones will be discontinued after various milking done by Microsoft after the acquisition while retaining the Nokia Windows Phones as the active second-party products. After all, having to support Android devices published by Microsoft such as the Nokia Android phones is a strange move like it ruins the competition for us and besides, nobody imagines Google or Apple publishing Windows PCs manufactured and developed by other companies. No! Google supports first-party and third-party Android and Chromebook devices by hardware business, not PCs or Macs. Maybe there should be a Google booth in some IT event that showcases Android and Chromebook devices but not anything else.

Onedrive update for mobile

There are more things to talk about the secure-ass services like the Onedrive and Outlook that will tell the fanboys of privacy invaders to shut the hell up. But enough of that, this update may include more features for the mobile version of Onedrive. However, not all versions may have the same features available in this update.
For Android version, you get to access the corporate and personal Onedrive storages in one app. For IOS version, you get the All Photos views where you can see all photos in a single view. Lastly, for Windows Phone 8.1, you should be able to access the Recycle Bin from the app although the Recycle Bin feature in cloud storage is completely kind of unncessary unless you may have deleted those online data accidentally.

Windup by Microsoft for Windows Phone

Unfortunately, this app may seem to be the research experiment made by Microsoft Research and it doesn't scream privacy anyway and therefore, it is nothing competitive. Even if you have used this app on Windows Phone, there is still room needed for improvement and at the same time, it has the number of features that perform similarly to the ones from Snapchat. Sure, there was some FTC ruling done against Snapchat and Facebook over privacy violations the last time but it may seem that Facebook is an even worse offender that you may want to bash on. I actually had something in my head about plans to bash on Facebook but then, there isn't anything appropriate so things are scrapped.
This app is for testing purposes and not said to be the core product from Microsoft and in the future, some rival of Snapchat may come up with their own app similar to that that has BETTER PRIVACY PROTECTION.! Certain Snapchat users were already not happy about the privacy violation the last time that they might have decided to ditch it completely in favor of other services but like Microsoft said, Windup for Windows Phone is part of the Microsoft Research experiment that those users can use Windup instead. Unlike Snapchat, the contents posted to Windup may be erased after some time.

Robert Scoble - Give up Windows Phone in favor of Android?

Nowadays, it seems that only Onedrive and Outlook are getting better for sure but it is not the same for Windows Phone and Android nowadays. For Windows Phone, there isn't so much apps released for it. Perhaps, there may be more interesting apps you can get on IOS and Android but it seems that Windows Phone has already done better with the amount of sufficient modern features and technologies that can be comparable to its rivals. But Microsoft Android phones? Well that's kind of stupid unless Windows Phone is lagging way too behind. It might have put Blackberry to shame no matter how good looking Blackberry is but as the performance is kind of better for Windows Phone, it is already what Blackberry is lagging behind with the unusual interactivity. Windows Mobile 6.5 back then was having some backported modern interface to keep itself on par with IOS and Android with multi-touch points, modern touch capable with the modified interface. Those were all before Windows Phones popped up to become more on par and Blackberry must have planned too late or something.
Not to mention that even Nokia was planning Android devices in addition to Windows Phones but it may be rare to see a bunch of people using Nokia Android phones due to the recent Microsoft layoffs. Sure, Nokia was more like a third-party before being bought by Microsoft but having Microsoft Android devices is like an unusual idea to me.
Another thing is that the Google Glass Robert Scoble blogged about. For me, it is a serious security vulnerability when this thing is worn. People may wear it for security breach as if certain buildings disallow the use of this technology. People may wear it for piracy of the media which is a fucking bad thing to extend piracy even further, STOP THAT! Or people may wear it for other bad things in daily lives. The worst thing is that there may be real-life mimicing of Robocop the technology similar to Google Glass. I don't know what will they do with that since it has both good and bad sides.
Lastly, the Hackathon was already started by Microsoft with the main person responsible for that being the new CEO. If Microsoft can do better after the recent layoffs and with the new CEO, then there may be better chances to bring customers back. During the previous events Microsoft was involved in such as the WPC, it appeared that they planned well and right.

Foursquare with Cortana

Foursquare is some social application/service I had used to record down the places I visited although I don't record down immediately the moment I enter various places to be frank when doing the Check-In feature so expect the timing to be damn late but we should be able to admit or whatever we had done there. Now there is Foursquare mixed with Cortana but I don't know how will she help us out in certain things once we have visited various places. Will she describe the new places we visit for the first time as well as to tell us on what to do there?
Also, I don't know if there's a similar answer to this for IOS and Android but even then, I don't use the voice command thingy at all. Maybe I can straight away turn that feature off no matter what as I may be shy to use it.

Live Lock Screen app for Windows Phone 8.1

This may surely put the IOS to shame due to its lack of the live lock screen and wallpaper but this one's inaccurate in terms of performance as people know that there's already some lag in the beta version of the app. The cool thing about the Live Lock Screen app is that you get the custom layout and custom fonts instead of the standard Segoe UI font that is everywhere in today's Microsoft products. It may look comparable to the Android OS since the Windows Mobile 6 onwards might have the third-party interface and live wallpapers and stuffs. Windows Phone on the other hand doesn't have these and Samsung is already leading like hell that puts HTC on life support or something.
I don't know what the app looks like in action since I don't have the Windows Phone but the minimum requirement is that you will need 1GB of RAM in order to work without lag. Until then, we don't know if there's some performance improvement in the final version of the app that will be coming out in Windows Phone 8.1.
Will that come out in the next Windows OS for tablets as well, unless some retarded desktop and laptop users may want this similarity badly for the next Windows OS for desktop and laptop besides the one for the tablets?

OneDrive for Windows Phone

Windows Phone users, be glad that OneDrive is back, even more secure than better. Apparently, this is the last update for Windows Phone 7.5 while Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 are still on-going which still have some Windows 8 related backdoors that they still have to freaking fix them. I don't know if the next Windows OS will not have any single backdoors for better security and performance as this is something I may expect for future performance improvement. Until Windows 8 was released, I probably expected that all of the traces of Windows Vista technology should be changed completely for faster OS but another challange approached the hell out of Microsoft ever since last year as things were the complete disaster for Windows 8.
If there's Windows Phone 9 or something in the future that will be based on the next Windows OS, provided that there are no stupid backdoors everywhere, then, there will be a better person for IT security powered consumers to buy those phones with the secure Outlook and Onedrive apps.

Facebook app listens in to your surroundings?

The worse case scenario is that certain apps in your IOS may end up bringing you to the Facebook app perhaps for linking those apps you're using to your Facebook account but here comes another offensive plan from Facebook as part of the dumbness act, listening in to your surrounding with the app. It may be an issue to the privacy but it may be simple to remove this app from your mobile devices. Today or perhaps yesterday in the eastern regions, there were already plans to Reset The Net and Google for instance was famously involved. However, it seems that Facebook is trying to betray us again with this controversial update to the Facebook app. Anything you say or type in the message through this app will be sent to the advertisers which is the main bullshit you may want to avoid!

Start Screen Backup for Windows Phones

We're sure that we are able to retain the apps that are installed in Windows 8.1, Android and IOS when doing the In-Place Upgrade but what about the one for Windows Phones and migration? With the Start Screen Backup feature for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1, you should be able to synchronize the Start Screen layout placements as well as the App Data between devices. I don't know if the IOS and Android can do the same thing but for the App-related stores, apps you have purchased from will be kept in your account that you can choose to download again but it can be annoying when trying to re-download those apps again for your new device. Why isn't there the App migration method for IOS? The Android surely has one due to the use of external storage but not all apps can be compatible depending on your Android device.
Right now, there is still the Developer Preview version of Windows Phone 8.1 and and when the OS is out in April 14, users are able to download the update to update the OS to the final version.

DirectX 12: Improvements for Xbox One

Until next year, the Xbox One is still inferior to its close rival, Playstation 4, in terms of resolution and game performance but with the arrival of DirectX 12, the console should be able to catch up although the graphics card is still using DirectX 11 technology. Maybe the graphics card should have the backported features of DirectX 12 for better performance and graphics but it doesn't seem to help out alot until the REAL DirectX 12 graphics card is out in the future. I don't know if you can replace the current graphics card with the DirectX 12 one for Xbox One but it is already possible for the desktop computers in the future. OK, you don't need to upgrade the graphics card hardware for Xbox One, Windows Phones and Windows tablets to get superior grahpics. You just need to do the software update of DirectX and that's it.
Downside though, only DirectX 12 games will make use of DirectX 12 graphics cards and the worse thing is that there will be heating issues for DirectX 11 graphics card. That is going to be a common downside and issue for devices using DirectX 11 graphics card and even Xbox One will be the included as the same victim too. Maybe next year, there should be a new Xbox One model with the DirectX 12 graphics card to fix this issue and get better performance.

Internet Explorer 11 Update

As part of the BUILD conference event, Microsoft is planning out Windows Phone 8.1, Internet Explorer 11 for Windows Phone 8.1 and the update to IE11 for existing multiple platforms. There will be similar features to Windows 8 for Windows Phone 8.1 such as the ability to pin websites to Start Screen, read better in Reading Mode as well as High Savings Mode which reduces the image quality and cuts data down by 60% to 80%.
The update of this web browser can detect the size of the webpage automatically but it seems that most of the websites do this on the web browsers on the computers. What about the ones for the tablet and mobile phones then? There's also the Enterprise Mode which is the Compatiblity Mode for displaying the pages in IE8 mode, just for the sake of compatibility and enterprises.

More Lumia reveals in April 2nd at press event

Tomorrow, Microsoft will be planning to reveal tons of their stuffs at the press conference at San Franscisco such as Office for Ipad, Windows Phone 8.1 stuffs, etc. Do note somehow that this press conference is held separately from the BUILD developer conference which is another event Microsoft is involved. Speaking of more Lumia reveals, those upcoming smartphones will be using Windows Phone 8.1 and we already have lots of anticipations for the upcoming Windows Phone updates like this and especially for more upcoming mobile devices coming this year. Certain of which were announced at the previous event like the MWC.

DirectX 12 for PC, Xbox One and mobile

At GDC in San Francisco, Microsoft had revealed the DirectX 12 technology for their platforms ranging from PCs, Windows Phones and even Xbox One. Now, how can Xbox One and Windows Phones get the DirectX upgrade when there's some different technical behavior of the Windows Kernel? It is said that there will be performance boost with DirectX 12 but then, it can be backported to Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 when possible to make them even faster.
Intel, AMD, Quadcomm, etc. are developing their new technology that will support DirectX 12 entirely by hardware. The ones today are still using DirectX 10 or 11 but I suggest playing games on the computers with DirectX 11 powered video cards for better performance.
With DirectX 12, the Xbox One will have better features for games and the PC games using DirectX 12 will be able to get the latest generation console level.
For NVIDIA, they have GeForce Titan Black in which you're going to buy that video card in the future for your desktop computer in case of superior future gaming or some hardware problem with your current video card that you may want to replace it.

Internet Explorer 11 on Windows Phone 8.1

Sure are tons of Windows Phone 8.1 update news everywhere but the next conference Microsoft is going to be involved will be the BUILD conference where Windows Phone 8.1 will be demonstrated.
The Stop/Refresh button is at the address bar for Internet Explorer 11 Mobile similar to the Windows 8 and desktop versions of the browser and other web browsers you're using. Back then for Internet Explorer for Windows 7 users, there were both Refresh and Stop buttons on the same bar at the same time.
Also, there's the Reading Mode where you can read articles without so much distractions as well as other settings you can make adjustment from. There will be extended support of HTML5 and WebGL and other stuffs, etc.

Nokia smartphones and BBM

This one's a big news about Nokia due to large involvement at MWC. The first they're announcing is the Lumia 630 and 635 Windows Phones. They may look like Iphone 5C or perhaps the Lumia 620 which is more or less what the Iphone 5C looks like.
As of now, we may have known that Windows Phone 8.1 will have virtual nagivation keys and Lumia 630 and 635 will be the first ones to have this feature.
BBM or Blackberry Messenger on the other hand will be coming to Windows Phone through Nokia Lumia devices this year. The previous release was the Android and IOS versions last year. Two more apps announced by Nokia for Windows Phone such as Photoshop Express and Food Panda. Note that Food Panda is obviously for India only so speaking of remote food order service from India, I guess that the people living in India can order any food from whatever shop in that country through telephone serivce like some commercial I can remember before. If you're trying to call for food order, you can only do so from whatever restaurant, coffee shop, etc. from whichever country you're living in.
Lastly is the Nokia Android devices called Nokia X series. But rather than Google online serivces, it's Microsoft's. Perhaps Microsoft will be buying Nokia soon or something. There will also be the app store run by Nokia as well as the third-party app storefronts. These Nokia X series smartphones will be available immediately in Asia, Europe, Africa, Middle East and South America.

Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone

From MWC today, it seems that Microsoft has confirmed that there will be Windows Phone version of Facebook Messenger. Previously, there was the Facebook Windows Phone Beta program in April last year that would allow the users to try out the app which has been developed entirely by Microsoft's own team. Right now, it is unclear on whether Microsoft will do the same thing for Facebook Messenger or not.

Windows Phone 8 to 8.1

You know, you should KNOW which IOS version is the highest version the previous IOS device can support and especially for the specs of that device and the higher system requirements for the future OSes. This may be the same for Windows Phone series devices in which Windows Phone 7 can be upgraded to 7.5 which is the highest version for Windows Phone 7 series devices due to the difference of the kernels between Windows Phone 7 and 8.
For Windows Phone 8 to 8.1, how can the upgrade process work? Will Windows Phone 8.1 still be based on Windows 8 kernel or perhaps Windows 8.1 kernel?

Lumia Black starts rolling out this year

Last month, the Lumia Black update was rolled out by AT&T to the users in US but the rest of the globe still has yet to receive it. For China, they will get the update next week with other countries to follow sometime in the first quarter of this year. This brings Nokia specific additions on top of Windows Phone 8 Update 3 in which it has some exclusive apps and usability tweaks in addition the Update 3's enhancements. The Chinese version will have Call Blocking and Application folder in addition to Glance screen, Nokia Camera and Storyteller apps, RAW support and Bluetooth LE 4.0. Perhaps the rest of the globe should also have the Call Blocking and Application folder as well as these features are somewhat common.
Well, if you do have Windows Phone 8 Update 3 preview as released in October last year, you can get the Black update sans Update 3 as noted by Paul Thurrott.
