Unity Technologies CEO's idiotic statement to game developers who are against microtransaction features

As if someone employed by EA wasn't idiotic enough for coming up with such an idiotic tweet recently that angered many game developers and gamers alike, this one from Unity Technologies CEO does the same thing with a different statement in which he claimed that game developers who shun microtransactions were brilliant but biggest idiots. If you're one of the game developers who's against the microtransaction & loot-box features because they are like gambling features in video games to you, there's a chance that you may or may not be offended by him. Switching game engines because of this recent offense is no easy path as you have to master another alternate game engine you've switched to. Even one game engine used by indie game developers is different than the other. Like Game Maker Studio when compared to Unity for instance, where you have a choice of making a 2D or 3D game based on your plans.

It's like the Unity Technologies CEO thought that game developers are going nowhere without implementing such nefarious features in their games for the sake of whatever he values. Game developers get hired to work in a game studio as professional game developers mostly due to passion and interest in making games. Even Satoru Iwata was full of ideas when it came to making a game console or a game software for said console when he was a CEO of Nintendo at the time and thanks to his vision, many of the Nintendo consoles were sold super-well and even the families had a blast in playing some Wii games together unlike Intellivision Amico which went on an opposite route by ensuring that families would be united with it according to Tommy. That made Satoru Iwata a well-respected CEO at the time, unlike the shady ones the content creators ranted.

Another ignorant thing was that Unity Technologies CEO didn't have the knowledge that many of the freemium mobile games made use of the Unity engine. The worse thing you can imagine is the future of game design courses having some microtransaction & loot box assignments you'll need to do and skipping them because of how fishy the microtransaction & loot box features are doesn't seem like an option. Another worse thing has to do with the villainous character the CEO had from the way he made his offensive statements like an idiot. It's like he's pretending to be on the same side when he's clearly not and the complaints that he offended the game developers were total barking nonsense to him.

There was a presentation from Mark Venturelli that criticized the NFT and Web3 stuffs at the event and many companies there were not pleased but the presentation drew praise from gamers for his heroic acts. Even Diablo Immortal was mentioned somewhere in that presentation for mimicking the casino experience illegally. It clearly shows on how super-predatory the monetization features are in that mobile game and he's brave enough to put it on one of the slides. It's part of the serious situation on what future of game development is like. I won't mention deeper about that presentation as this blog article is about Unity Technologies CEO's idiotic statement that disrespected game developers who didn't implement microtransaction features.

Know It, Prove It event

Taking Game Development challenge or whatever from Know It, Prove It event, I already made some major progress in various Jump Starts at MVA. But before that, I already made progress in the previous Jump Starts there and hell, this kind of event is sort of like the in-game event where you have to go deeper in the game and follow the event prerequisites in progressing on.
And this is the right time to talk about one of the controversial MVA Jump Starts regarding the Unity game development. Someone from Microsoft previously worked at that Comcrap/Shitcast or whatever you want to call it in a hateful way because people around the globe know how terrible and evil that US ISP is. Such a discovery of his public resume and profiles shown on social networking sites, MVA slides starring him. But the positive stuffs about him were that he had tons of previous professional experiences in software engineering including game development. That also includes some game development events he took part as well. What a controversial employee he is but you should be able to check out his stuffs if you're interested.
And after progressing in Game Development challenge, there are additional IT Professionals suited courses from that event to know from as the second challenge for me. Of course, I still have yet to do any contribution to that controversial Unity game development Jump Start by following the respective hosts on Twitter, going to their websites to see if there's anything interesting to know and obtain from for the sake of learning as well as to learn Unity game development the hard way.

Gaming Engines for Windows 8 Jump Start

OK, another Jump Start I attended with lots of details to explain on what went on in interesting ways. The tools mentioned in the Jump Start were Construct2, Game Maker and Unity 3D. Of course, Unity 3D is probably the most difficult to use as there may be involvement of the 3D graphics and the coding in addition to various useful features which also add to the difficulty as well. From the presentations, there are links to various sources where you can gather the resources/assets from such as the music, sounds, graphics, voices and so on. For Construct 2 and Game Maker Studio, there are already newer features compared to their previous versions. The official opinion stated that the Construct 2 is less difficult than Game Maker to use for game creation. Lastly, there's even the opportunity to publish the games made with one of those tools to the Windows Store but that requires the amount of steps and you may need newer technical knowledge of new technologies as Windows 8 technology contains a number of newer technological features we don't know of in the first place compared to the previous OSes. It's important to know the new technology as things are changing and especially when we take newer Microsoft certified courses at MVA.

Other tools mentioned were Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, Inkscape, GIMP and Paint.NET. Of course, the most superior one is the Adobe products but they can be bitches to find and buy so you're better off with the alternatives like GIMP, Inkscape, etc.

For music, I already have the tools like FL Studio and Noteworthy Composer where each stuff is made in both MIDI and MP3 but I don't know when will I post these MIDI files I made with Noteworthy Composer straigtht to vgmusic.com as this may mark a future opportunity as a gamer to post those arranges there. Of course, that website seems to be westernized so I have to follow that style and especially for the 16-Bit arranges I made and posted on YouTube. Note that not all 16-Bit arranges are credited as I fear that TheEightBit will not accept those Japanese like contents I contributed with that soundfont. But enough of these personal stuffs here. For actuality, I already used certain arranges for Game Maker as well, leaving the sound effects to be un-original as I took those sounds from various sources and provided the credits all along. Lastly, before this Jump Start existed, I already have the experience in using Game Maker but it seems that my works using that tool already turned out to be the project catastrophes like things not working well no matter how many improvements and changes I put in and especially when certain parts looked impossible to clear. Not to mention, the over-execution of the contents that caused other bugs on us as well.
