Read Mode in Word 15

This one, there's not much to say but at least we can see more of the features such as reading one or two pages at a time which is sort of like reading PDF files in Adobe Reader in one page or multiple page modes. Previously, you can see two pages in Print Layout in Microsoft Word but then, things are already too small that they are not optimized for tablet devices.
In addition to editing stuff in Full Screen Reading Mode, you can scroll the documents horizontally or vertically depending on the number of pages to be viewed on screen at the same time. In addition, the Navigation Pane similar to Adobe Reader allows you to choose which page you want. Interestingly enough, even if the tablet is rotated to Vertical Mode, the full screen reading is still there but in vertical mode of course which is kind of useful for using Microsoft Office for tablets in vertical mode.
Plus, you can tap on the specialized objects such as tablets, charts, shapes and even groups of objects but while this is useful for reading stuffs, it is still not easy to edit like that on the tablets. And that is where the flaw comes in for Microsoft Word for tablets.
Lastly, in case you get stuck on certain words and meanings you don't even know, there's the Reference Tools where you can find out the definition of the specific word. You can also search on Bing within the application as well as to translation using Bing Translation Tool. This allows you to find out more while reading the premises of the documents. Another feature that is rarely used is the Reviewing Tools which may consist of comments and Simple Markups you've put in the documents. Be warned, there may still be stupid comments invading on popular videos like that on the internet so make sure that the documents made in Word are not invaded with these.

System Administrator Day in July 27th

Lol, what was I doing like that by then? The Advanced SystemCare with AntiVirus on my computer expired yesterday that I had to uninstall it, leaving it running Windows 8 RP to be unprotected. In fact, I didn't even get the opportunity to get some full rest on that day by playing some console games but still, my computer got no rest at all. And worst of all on that day, the London Olympics had apparently started which almost ruined the special day for System Administrators.
Yesterday was the System Administrator Day and we had to give System Administrators a respect for their hard work and dedication. This was the day the administrators got some rest 24 hours. Everyday, the system administrator have their endless jobs to do 364 days a year. It is supposed to be 365 days a year but because of System Administrator Day which is the special day, it is decreased by one to 364. The more they work with good and serious business attitude, the more they get paid and they can spend their business cash on buying additional technical devices as parts of the jobs. It is a must when something goes down that repairing is required or when the technology in the company is getting damn old that it requires some upgrade.
Finally, we will like to thank the System Administrators for their hard work and they must ensure that things are working smoothly without causing the workers any technical problem that causes the clients the same problems as well.
So what does System Administrator do? Well, he takes care of the technological systems as his endless job. He is to clean up the computers and servers from viruses, errors and other technical problems and especially replace the devices that are not working anymore. Another thing he does is to bring storage devices from one server, disk arrays or even the current data center to another perhaps to process from another, perform backups from various networks to the others, for us and the company. It is the professional, with complex skills, ethical challenges and a daunting IT job. The challenge of this job is about making technological systems work smoothly for us even if one part of the device fails. Basically, it is about taking the staggering array of technologies, acronyms, protocols, networks, vendors, budgets, limited time, competing products and threats the computer network, and assembling them all together in a complete working system. The job as the system administrator is not only to be the geek in the corner who uses the computer and types on stuff all day, but it is also about bringing these diverse pieces of technology into order, and fitting them together to fill your needs. However, the downside of the job is that, things are still not perfect and we're still figuring out on how to make things perfect. Being a system admin takes a certain boldness, to be one of the first people to take on the challenge of turning difficult computers into easy to use ones. But in case one system admin gets stuck, the other can help so that system admin is not the only system admin in the field to work on.
Lastly, when you think of the system administrator, think of the people who run the servers that help you clean it off, the people who run the backup to make sure your data is safe, the people who bring you the network, the people who monitor things for security and the people who clean off the threats off your computer and replaces your failed devices.

Blazing Star for IOS and Android

Unexpectedly enough, we had just stumbled upon another Neo Geo game on the IOS and Android. How is this an emulation sort of thing when there are smartphone shmup controls for this game and having to keep on mashing the shot button is like, urgh? Well, it may be because the gameplay is based on Pulstar which is an Ex-R-Type game with Blazing Star being somewhat different or something while retaining the Pulstar gameplay. You can compare this to R-Type Leo as they have co-op play and it's the same for R-Type Dimensions for XBLA.
The graphics in Blazing Star and Pulstar are spectacular and amazing and some stages have true 60FPS FMV sequences as if the graphics are like 3D on 2D sort of thing on Neo Geo, similar to playing shmup games with 3D graphics on 32-Bit era and above. Strangely enough, Blazing Star is NOT the only Neo Geo game on IOS and Android but it is a surprise to see games like this on these mobile platforms. The only thing missing is that it needs the Neo Geo Station and Virtual Console releases.

Project Diva F Latest PV

What, what were the developers doing? Are they out of other resources? There's new graphical engine as well as new songs and modules... BUT THE SONG LIST IS AS SHORTER THAN EVER! HOW IS THIS A RESPECT TO NUMBER 39 LIKE THAT? Look at the song list, according to the PV video, the song list is like up to 31 new songs. The one that adds the song list to 32 songs is not new because it is already from Project Mirai on 3DS. The best bet is that the song list must be above 39 songs or it is going to be quite disappointing although the Edit Mode is able to save the asses of the custom music video makers.
Of course, there's going to be Phantasy Star Online 2 collaboration in this game like you may want some Vocaloid stuff on the non-Japanese version of PSO2 but the thing is, there are players of Phantasy Star franchise who are against that technology like they want Sega to kick those characters off this online game. Lastly, since Project Diva F is going to be on Playstation Vita, it may seem that those who are Anti-Vita may comment on why this game is not in Playstation Portable. The reason for being in PS Vita regards the new graphical engine which is quite new compared to the current Project Diva games we already know of. Perhaps you can save your ass with this new upcoming Dreamy Theater F for Playstation 3 next year like you may want to play that version instead after buying Project Diva F and Playstation Vita. If rhythm games are your reasons in buying Playstation Vita, so be it because the serious disadvantage right now is the console's expensive price due to lack of sufficient game library. What's useful however is the AR Live Mode similar to Project Mirai as well as some kind of real-life activity which may spoil you apart like you're playing Love Plus games or something.
Buy this game and DJ Max Technika as well as Playstation Vita if you like/want but you have to watch out for retarded douche-bags, fan-fags or whatever in any location you're in and don't get caught playing the PS Vita by them. But what the hell should we do in that case? Should we keep the console a secret?

Office 15 Preview - Let's Get Started!

Well, I already had Office 15 Customer Preview installed on my computer provided that I have my Windows Live Account. From the Office 15 Customer Preview official website, you can click on Sign Up button to get directed to the Office 365 Home Premium Customer Preview. You're allowed to install Office 15 Home Premium edition on up to 5 devices. Furthermore, you can access the Office documents on the cloud via SkyDrive technology. Also, you can click on one of the products under 'Explore the Office applications' where I think that you're still directed to Home Premium edition.
Below Home Premium edition part is the 'Services for Business' part. There, you can select ProPlus, Small Business Premium or Enterprise. Professional Plus is for IT Pros, Enterprise is for large enterprise business and Small Business as it suggests, is for small business companies. ProPlus Preview lets you create up to 25 users with 5 installations per user. So this kind of volume licensing method is under 'Per User' so one user can install Office 15 Preview on up to five devices which leaves 24 users remaining. Small Business Premium Preview and Enterprise Preview editions take the benefits of Office 365 Pro Plus edition that allow professional email, shared documents, and HD video conferencing but the Enterprise Preview has extra features like Exchange Online, including archiving and legal hold to fully manage your company's email in the cloud. The Enterprise Preview edition also includes SharePoint Online to manage, share and edit business documents and Lync Online to allow you to conduct meetings and collaborate across remote teams on the network technologically and your team members.
In addition to the new Office 365 split up into new editions and existing editions, there are newer versions of individual products that are separate parts of Microsoft Office such as SharePoint, Exchange, Lync, Office Web Apps Server, Project and Visio. For IT Pros, you can get the new version of SharePoint Server, Exchange Server, Lync Server, Project Professional, Visio Pro for 365 Preview and lastly, the Web Apps Server Preview.
Surprisingly enough, the Apps for Office and SharePoint service is at Developer Preview stage which is similar to when Windows 8 was in Developer Preview stage but it is likely to be for developers.

Hardware Acceleration in Windows 8

High-end computers are likely to be the must for advanced multimedia work, advanced computer gaming and of course, computers graphics work. You can still use those three purposes on mid-end computers but the performance will not be as good as the one in high-end computers. In the past from 80s to 90s, there were Windows Accelerators powered graphics cards which allowed the windows from the desktop GUI to be moved around the screen faster. As technology involves, so do the newer graphics cards and their new features as well as the newer methods from the developers. So far for Windows 8, there is still no sign of Windows Media Player 13 or DirectX 12 and yet, the recent graphic cards are already powered by DirectX 10 or 11 with DirectX 11 powered graphics cards being the latest opportunities for Windows Vista and 7 gaming users.
With the new Hardware Acceleration features for Windows 8, it seems that the Metro stuffs are starting to get smoother but unfortunately for Office 15 Splash Screen, it isn't quite smooth as we realized. Also, another goal from the developers of the operating system is that they want to provide a hardware-accelerated platform for all Metro style apps regardless of which type of app to ensure that things are performing smoothly as well as to add new capabilities to the existing DirectX to enable stunning visual experiences but with interface like Metro interface, I am not sure about the graphical features because in Office 15, certain graphical features are apparently different or perhaps broken. Even with the goals they have set to ensure smooth graphical performance, the great performance and graphics platform's capabilities surely depend on your computer's video card.
So far, NVIDIA already has the video card drivers for Windows 8 but since this is the power of prototyping, things may not be accurate.
But to a surprise without our knowledge through corroboration, even the latest Windows Live Essentials programs make use of DirectX perhaps for animations such as Mail, Mesh, Messenger, etc.
For text performance improvement in Windows 8, it goes a long way towards creating the better experience so web pages, email programs, instant messaging and other reading apps are able to benefit from high quality and high-performance text display. The Metro style design language ever since two years ago is used in the latest Windows Live Essentials, Windows Phone 7 and 8, the new Xbox 360 Dashboard and the on-going Microsoft official website.
For geometry rendering performance in Windows 8, is the core graphics technology used for tablets, charts, graphs, diagrams and user interface elements. The improvements deliver high-performance implementations of HTML5 Canvas and SVG technologies for use in Metro style apps and webpages viewed in Metro web browser apps. In IE10 Metro edition, it is already smooth enough in watching YouTube videos in HTML5 mode but even then, things are still not accurate in terms of performance. A new graphics hardware feature called, Target Independent Rasterization is used to improve the graphics performance when rendering irregular geometry. It enables Direct2D to spend few CPU cycles on tessellation so that it can give drawing instructions to the GPU more quickly and efficiently without sacrificing visual quality. It is available in the video cards that support Windows 8 and DirectX 11.1. Furthermore, Microsoft even collaborated with the developing partners of the video cards to design TIR. Dramatic improvements were made possible thanks to this collaboration. DirectX 11.1 video cards are already available today that you may want to buy a new computer with those video cards so that you can get the newest technology experience as long as you're using Windows 8 but more work still needs to be done so that TIR-capable products will be broadly available.
For image rendering through PNG and JPEG, the SIMD usage is expanded for faster image decoding on all CPU architectures. JPEG's improvement also has faster Huffman while PNG's improvement has faster image encoding and decoding by optimizing zlib implemented by Microsoft. The results are that the rendering time is much lesser in Windows 8.
Direct2D Effects form the new set of APIs that enable high-quality hardware-accelerated effects to be applied to any image. They provide optimal-quality renderings of image effects to suit the needs of wide variety of apps. They are also hardware-accelerated and work on a wide variety of graphics hardware. They provide many built-in effects and support large image sizes and up to 32 bits per channel. Lastly, custom effects can be combined with built-in effects or other custom effects. The SVG filter effects and CSS 3D transforms are implemented using Direct2D Effects features.
Overall, the rendering is much faster in Windows 8 and the new graphics features improve the new graphics capabilities. Hopefully, there will be newer video cards that support Windows 8 but my point is that there should be DirectX 12 because DirectX 11.1 is minor to us.

Virtual Keyboard in Windows 8

Ever since Windows XP Tablet Edition where there might be the virtual keyboard program which is the specialized On-Screen Keyboard in addition to the Handwriting area on the tablets with stylus in which you can write some text you want but then the virtual keyboard is way better than using virtual handwriting, right? On Windows 7, the touch screen feature may be improved but even so, the interactivity is still unfriendly enough on the tablet devices.
On Windows 8, you have multiple ways to enter text on the virtual keyboard such holding the tablet with two hands while using your thumbs to type, resting the device in which you can use your fingers to do proper touch-typing similar to typing like that on the laptops or you can use one hand to hold the device and use the other hand to type but that may be a challenge.
However, there may seem to be the problem interacting like that on the devices that make use of the glassy screen which may be troublesome but the developers are trying to find some ways to fix it. Glassy screen may be the reason on why the mobile devices are apparently using the term, Retina Display, to multiply the screen resolution by 2 which can make screen identification different. So if you see the mobile device with no real screen pixelation or whatever, that may indicate that the device is apparently using Retina Display and the result is that things are getting much sharper.
Then, there comes the Numbers part on the virtual keyboard. You may notice that the numbers are missing by default but then we prefer to type in the numbers through the number pad in which even laptops computers don't even have the separated number pad. Instead, the number pad is somewhere on the keyboard which may be weird in typing the numbers like that. Nowadays, there are laptops with SEPARATED number pad which on the right side of the laptop keyboard formed to make the keyboard a complete whole. Strangely enough on Android and IOS devices, if you want to type in the numbers, you may have to switch to another set of virtual keys, the one with the symbols and the numbers instead of the letters, that is. For Windows 8, there will be the virtual number pad if you switch to another set of virtual keys by switching to &123 mode. From there, you can scroll through the symbols you want to enter in in addition to entering in the numbers.
There was a prototype virtual keyboard which has the Shift key with multiple levels similar to Android and IOS devices, Numbers Key, Symbol Key, Tab Key and Emotions Key. However, not all special toggling keys were made available as the lab test on this apparently failed that it confused the shit out of the participants in which their typing came to a halt. Accented characters well, that should be in another set of virtual keys because holding one letter may be ridiculous like that. When did IOS and Android devices have such kind of feature like that?
Other than one to two flaws in virtual keyboard in Windows 8 for tablets, this feature is a must try just like using other tablet devices.
