Playstation E3 Press Conference Live Broadcast

Wow, that was a great event viewed online and BEST OF ALL, Sony has done it RIGHT with the Playstation 4! Ok, so here were the followings from that event:

• Gaming freedom – You can borrow your friends’ games from his collection to play on your own PS4 without being charged or any stupid restriction whatsoever. You can even play games while they are partially downloaded and installed and that’s kind of fast. Also, there’s no way the console has some sort of governmental power against you so that there’s a reason for you to buy it. Finally, the backwards compatibility is here but it’s under cloud gaming that you have to wait until next year.
• Indie Game Support – I believe that those games will be available for PS3, PS4 and Vita so there’s not much to say other than those games looking quite interesting.
• Gaikai – In addition to PS Plus, PSN, there will be Gaikai cloud gaming that allows games to be streamed to the PS4 and the PS Vita. I don’t know if PS3 games will be streamed to the PS Vita but then games on that console can be gigantic compared to PS Vita games. Also, will there be PS1 and PS2 games available for Gaikai as well that will be played on PS4?
• Cross-Platform Playing – The PS4-Vita and PS3-Vita are already the great ways of remote-playing but PS4-Tablet or PS4-Smartphone, well, how the hell can that work for specific games? You think that the Smartglass like idea is kind of ideal, huh? At least, the Wii U tablet-like device is the combination of the game controller and the tablet that it is already that ideal enough to play and especially for the PS Vita which is also neat as mainly a game console for gaming purposes first.
• Music, TV, Videos – Uhh, WTF? Those contents look very western like by the way and I DON’T WATCH MOVIES, okay.
• Apps – You can share your gameplay videos as well as to post certain things about what’s going on in video games to the popular SNS sites.
• GUI – Looks kind of better than Metro UI, I guess as if things are visually making sense.

And that’s basically the greatness of this console that puts the Xbox One to complete shame. Well, that Xbox One is like the next CIS** by the way because not only it spies on the US gamers, but also the gamers around the globe so buy PS4 or Wii U at all costs if you want the freedom and gaming fairness as I already mentioned at the beginning of the list.

PC Show 2k13

This IT Show was really big at Singapore Expo and it was shown in the news as well like it might be one of the best IT Shows out there of this year. It might be large that it consumed like 1-3 hours of explorations and information and product gathering. For me, I don’t buy stuffs from the IT Shows by the way but here were some of the updates.
There were some car cameras that were similar to normal cameras and the cameras in your smart devices. Also, there were DVD players for the cars that feature GPS as well that can be useful. I might have discovered on the net that even the PSP can be used as the GPS as well but you will need some GPS related hardware and app you want so that you can hook your PSP on the car deck or something. It may be great but it can attract like a huge amount of laziness or something.
Plus, there were even more Android TV devices that provide even more useful purposes such as having a Karaoke on the Android TV for instance. How do you like that when you turn your home into another modern technology powered Karaoke room with the Android TV device. You can play games on that but I recommend using the actual Android device which is the smartphone/tablet one.
And of course, the Surface and Surface Pro were in this IT Show. Too bad that I still couldn’t see the Surface RT at Challenger at Tampines though but I was told that it could be found in Challenger elsewhere. The Touch Cover was kind of weird like a freaking toy or something but it served as a reminder of a dual-screen Acer laptop with the virtual keyboard at the bottom screen. Think of that laptop as the larger HD Nintendo DS system. But I told that person that there were some presumed technical problems haunting that laptop that I was given a Type Cover which was already better, right?
Lastly, the Pioneer booth. They surely had mixed modern technology with the DJing equipment. The only place to buy their DJ products is at Sim Lim Square which might be unfortunate to me anyway as I think that place is seriously vulnerable to scams or something. The least expensive one cost $100+.
Other discoveries included the interesting gaming computers, some IT *abes promoting their products as well as the ISP booths which were pretty large. For gaming computers, there were some cool features on one of those gaming laptops such as the secondary monitor on the right side of the keyboard that featured touch-screen ability. You can activate other features as well as to disable certain keyboard shortcut features like trying to prevent any irritation while you play games. There was a Samsung gaming laptop known as Samsung Series 7 Gaming laptop that has four freaking modes and one of them is the Gaming mode. The wallpaper and screensaver were damn cool looking but it could be extra better if the interface is looking futuristic as well, not the freaking default Windows 7 interface anyway. Also, the version 8 of Parallels Desktop had some sort of bonus. If you bought it under Windows 8 bundle, you will get the full version of Windows 8 as the Guest OS installed but that will mean extra cost compared to buying Parallels Desktop alone.
Unfortunately, as I went back home, it was already raining but I bravely dashed through the rain to the bus stop while getting drenched. That hurt my ears but I couldn’t get the water drops out of them as if I had learnt a bunch of retarded tips in public areas like that. Maybe I should take superior tips and tricks next time.

The Costly Mistake event

It's time to visit the past to see the fictional invasive catastrophe. It's more like a fictional sci-fi alien invasion thingy than a mysterious disaster sort of event as organized by DirectX Co-Creator. The event was supposed to take place in 1996 in Halloween. It had the reference to X-Files, Area-51 and so on but this was supposed to be a gaming related event. Sure, there would be cool games to play back then on Windows 95 days with the arrival of Direct-X technology. Why were you required to install that? Well, that technology was a new thing back then needed for advanced looking games for Windows.
In 1995, it was when DirectX was firstly shown in prototype stages before it was re-shown again in final stages as well as the introduction of Direct3D. The event in 1996 was supposed to be a huge one but then, it seemed that Microsoft had to cancel it at the last moment which was kind of unfortunate. For that event, things were supposed to resemble certain Sci-Fi alien themed shows as well as the involvement of some X-Files actors. For example, the interior was supposed to resemble the alien spaceship thing. On the inside for the event, people could see Bill Gates with the mask that would make them think that he was an alien or some sort. The event should be lasting three days and there was an online game tournament.
In the middle of the speech, it was interrupted and the developers were sent to the military base to see some huge alien vessel as part of the event.
Well, those were all the plans the DirectX Co-Creator had gotten as well as Microsoft. In 1997, he was apparently gotten a bad review of a 2/10 and got fired as a result for some silly alien abduction plans as part of the event. It was kind of controversial in the past to the company and the consumers as if there was a fake alien invasion all along planned by Microsoft.
Eventually, the alien ship thing was taken down and still sitting somewhere inside the company premise for years. Today. it looks like the same kind of mistake is bound to happen but in completely different way with the upcoming launch of Xbox One. That kind of modern event failure to that DirectX Co-Creator reminded him of his event failure in 1996 and that failure was kind of nostalgic.
You know, what that guy did was seriously unforgivable to Microsoft as if all the alien abduction stuffs were starting to look fake anyway and especially for the spaceship. Having to abduct people like that as part of the event as well as to make things extremely costly should not be parts of the event anyway. It should be displaying a bunch of epic looking games on screen similar to E3 today, not making up certain scenes from alien invasion movies like that.

Organizing & Sharing Information with OneNote Jump Start

Alright, it looks like I'm back for another Jump Start from Microsoft Virtual Academy and this blog as well. Hopefully, things should be peaceful this year like there won't be any need for emergency like blog-posting reaction from me like disastrous things that will be bound to happen in some year that I may to blog everything about the products that will be released on that year just like I did last year alot about Windows 8 and Office 15. This time, it's about OneNote and things should be that easier and especially when we're missing certain tricks needed to use for OneNote.
Before that, I had made various discoveries from that Jump Start. You can go to the Office Webinar like the next one will happen next week. Also, the Office Webinar happens like regularly except on some days like today due to the freaking Jump Start. Another thing was the Opalis Integration Server in which I have no freaking idea even if it is part of System Center family of suites from Microsoft. I don't know if that feature will be learnt in Microsoft Virtual Academy as well but we want the students to know what the hell is that as it left me kind of curious during the Jump Start.
For this Jump Start, it featured various keyboard shortcuts shown such as using Shift + Alt, followed by other key to do the tricks and especially Ctrl + . or / for bullets and numbering respectively. For Ctrl + numbers, those are for tags and you can make your own one if you want. Other features involved importing slides into OneNote, inserting embedded Excel and Visio documents, adding subpages and synchronizing OneNote documents to Skydrive, Sharepoint and Skydrive Pro. Even better is that you can use Lync with OneNote perhaps for online meeting, I guess, and you can try to edit the documents and take notes during the meeting. Lastly, you can record video and audio but is there a reason not to have the feature about inserting embedded videos? OK, I asked a question about that but I may assume that I'm not the only one who makes this kind of request. Sure, you can insert embedded videos in other document editing software but for OneNote, it's trying to be a different thing like its main purpose is about taking down notes. Other stuffs seen from the Jump Start involved the Event Template, Schedule Template, Resume Template and so on.
Unfortunately for others, there was some disgraceful technical problem that they were not able to get in the Jump Start even when it had started. It might have wasted their time but for me, the technical problems were kind of different though that I was kind of fine.
So that's it for this event and we'll be looking forward to more of these Jump Starts from MVA.

Xbox One to be released this year with next year's release being Next-Gen Kinect for Windows

A few days ago, there was a live event showing the Xbox One which was the successor to the Xbox 360 console. It uses the Blu-Ray drive, the 8-Core X86-X64 CPU, 8GB RAM as well as the 500GB HDD and the USB 3.0 ports. In addition, the new Kinect device has the HD camera and it's gonna be the same for the Windows version that will be released next year.
However, the controversy arose over some features that were taken out. First, the Backwards Compatibility is kind of gone although the original Xbox used the X86 processor unlike the Xbox 360 and it was even dumber to take this feature out entirely so if you want lots of arcade-style video games, you're best off with the Xbox 360, not the Xbox One. I don't know which console they will be in the future. However, it seems that the PS4 is going to have some Backwards Compatibility through Cloud Gaming where you can play games for the previous consoles but then, having to stream those games is a son of an ass. Well, it is for the PS2 and PS3 games as the load times may be assumed to be much longer and with cloud gaming, expect lots of lags. Second controversy that was already fixed was that the console had to be online at all times to play games. Well, there's no need for that, the console has to be online for patching purposes even if the machine is turned off or something. Third, the new Kinect technology is having some improvements such as HD camera, new IR, expanded field of view where you can pretty much play Kinect games on whichever size of room you want and especially when your whole room is completely full of gaming stuffs like you're a hardcore gaming geek. But having to include this device as part of the console is beyond belief. Well, it may be this competitive anyway as the original Wii comes with the Wii-Remote which may take players the time to get used to in addition to the default controller but for the Xbox One and PS4 according to their specs, they may be more expensive to buy. Forth, I don't know how the games will be installed onto the console hard drive before you play because they are not installed in the same way the PS Vita games are installed, that will be controversial. Fifth, the internal HDD cannot be replaced and is part of the console. However, you can get external storage for whatever purposes you want. Sixth controversy that was event exclusive, was that the whole console was advertised as the multimedia device. What the hell? Will that end up like the next CD-I or something? At least for the PS Vita, it at first lacked the required amount of common software and hardware features such as the missing ability to hook up to the TV for better video capturing as well as killer games but then, it looks like Sony had been doing things right and especially for the promised Backwards Compatibility feature for the upcoming PS4. Lastly, the freaking metro interface. If that looks confusing again to us in some parts of the screen, then what's the point of buying that successor console? It made the PS Vita more worthy for buying instead.
I may assume that this new Kinect device may support Windows 8 but I don't know if the previous one supports that OS. Buy the Windows version of Kinect if you want in case you have some projects to do with it but for the console, you have to rely on which Kinect games you like before you think that they are worth the reasons to buy. The shape of the Xbox One console, the new Kinect and the controller are surprisingly no longer in rounded shapes and the logo looks kind of solid.

Who Has Your Back privacy report

This one, is a fully-detailed report on which companies were supporting the CIS** bill until that time when the bill was bound to be split up. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Wordpress, YouTube and the list goes on when I went to that report. There were factors written down in the tables indicating on how the companies would do to your private data.
Even if the bill had already failed like we already predicted, my online account redundancy/cluster may seem to be incomplete by the time I saw a report like that. However, it seemed that I started my online account cluster extension like two years ago by starting my Twitter and Myspace accounts before another extension happened in which my AOL Mail is the main email account today. So what, will there be another online migration again? Why the hell do I want that? That kind of sounds selfish to me but thankfully, I have no plans for that.

Hacking Politics Ebook

OK, after the beginning of this month, there are like no more reports of whatever is going on with CIS** bill or any other thing that goes against the internet freedom. Instead, there were bonus emails sent to me regarding the book called Hacking Politics.
Hacking Politics is the work of the special people involved in defending the internet freedom against the bad bills like we already know of ever since two years ago. It talked about the first bill everyone had discovered like SO** and how we fought it for the internet freedom.
Surprisingly enough, Demand Progress seems to be a guest on The Flaming Sword of Justice. It's a podcast Aaron Swartz co-founded and we know that he's already dead this year or so by suicide after having obtained lots of academic documents that landed him in serious trouble. You can buy that E-Book that you can read the information about the bills and how actions were taken against for internet freedom.
