Student in Japan arrested for making threats to Konami due to the bug in mobile game

This isn't the first time I knew of a case about someone getting arrested for making such threats to the game company. The previous case was about a suspect making such threats to Square Enix over what, the loot box feature in mobile games or something that he got arrested for that but in the recent case, it's about the high school student in Japan making such threats to Konami over the bug in the Pro Evolution Soccer mobile game in which the series is also known as Winning Eleven in Japan.

What kind of mental issue was that that drove him to making threats like that? And when it comes to the mental issue topic mixed with Konami, there were wild guesses from people like "It's something due to the company not offering whatever new games from the classic franchise he wants", or something like that. But no, it's not all due to Konami having no plans to come up with newer games from various classic franchises like Castlevania, Metal Gear or even Silent Hill. So if you think that Konami has nothing left after whatever happened to Castlevania, Metal Gear or even other classic franchises you know of, you may be mistaken. Some other franchises like the Bemani and sports video game franchises are still on-going even today with newer sports games from Konami like the ones centered on baseball or soccer are still being released on consoles and mobile. There's one warning though, later sports video games from Konami may or may not have microtransactions and loot boxes.

Another recent progress is that some of the franchises already made a comeback but even then, there's no guarantee that such comebacks may restore those franchises' reputation. Contra Rogue Corps and Metal Gear Survive are already bad examples with the other recent games being the opposite.

Sure, the reputation of Konami had become that bad but it doesn't give anyone like that student the excuse to make such threats to them over whatever happened to him like he lost match due to the bug that angered him. Of course, many players vent their frustration over highly difficult obstacles in video games but it takes them time to succeed after sometime even with sufficient solution. Another situation will be you challenge other human players online. Who knows what will come at you when you are like, victorious or some sort but that's a situation of another time? One more gaming situation regards the microtransactions and loot boxes in video games where you draw a box/card pack of random rare items at the cost of in-game currency. It's no easy feat to collect a complete specific group of items like that that it may require tons of luck like it's gambling or some kind. Some of the Virtual YouTubers are seen drawing card items like that in certain mobile games and their behavior is unspeakably insane or some sort. The worse thing about microtransaction+loot box practice is about spending tons of real money just for that combined bullshit and the same practice can be found in the arcades via some of modern Konami and Sega arcade games there where DRAWING EACH REAL CARD REPRESENTING A CHARACTER REQUIRES EACH CREDIT or something. Plus, I don't know if such practices may advance the gaming addiction or not.

Another off-topic will be the JAEPO event which is a gaming event in Japan that showcases arcade games, redemption games, vending machines, etc. I'm sure that Konami has been involved in that event like regularly and especially for the Konami Arcade Championship. However, if you're going there just to demand Konami or Sega to come up with new games from whatever classic franchise like they're your puppets or something out of your immature mind and you have blatant disregard over whatever they're showing there, you may as well be banned for causing trouble like that.

"If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die" the animation

Like High Score Girl, this one should be a great reminder regarding the behavior of the idol nerds. For High Score Girl, there are notorious moments like someone banging the machine as tantrum throwing whenever they lose in the game at the arcades as well as someone getting into a fight over the game as well. Those same notorious moments can happen anywhere besides the arcade centers or maybe there are more than two notorious moments I've mentioned. However, in this cartoon show that aired in January to March this year, things are quite different. When it comes to idol concerts in Japan, most of the concertgoers sort of do the calls and responses to the songs and there are even those who the glow stick dance known as the Otagei which some man already filed a lawsuit and there was a news like that. I don't know if that man would be called out by the other nerds for that lawsuit. Not to mention that the lawsuit was dismissed by the court at the time.
The protagonist of that show by the name of Eripiyo, is leading the normal life until she discovers the minor idol group and gets herself heavily obsessed with the least popular member that she eventually overspends money on the idol-related merchandises like buying tons of copies of that idol's merchandises. I don't know if other nerds had done the same thing or not like buying tons of copies or not but then, there's another news I knew of in the past in which some nerd bought tons of copies of the same CD as a way to support some idol which is obviously stupid, waste of money and resources, the home hoarding issue and an act of unfairness. How's this unfair? Well, from my assumption, the other fans may want to buy the same CD but of course, they'll buy ONE copy for themselves to listen to.
Today, there are other ways to enjoy the music as technology evolves like listening to music online legally through various music services like Spotify, Beatcamp, etc.

A new law in Mexico

I don't know if this is something controversial or not but it already became law before anyone from outside Mexico found out about it. Unfortunately, it seemed that there were tons of misunderstandings and misinformation about some new law that caused some sort of false alarms.
In reality, it's okay to install Linux on your computer, change the computer components like the hard drive for instance as well as to install the custom ROM on your Android. According to the YouTube comments, there are actually some corrections like the new law prohibits the ISPs from monitoring your activities unless you're suspected of doing something illlegal and the fact that you're allowed to modify the device if you're the owner of it unless the modification opens doors to something illegal like removing DRM for instance. It's obviously illegal to circumvent the DRM ptotections of the software or hardware in the first place.
Sideloading of Android apps isn't prohibited by that new law in Mexico so the businesses don't need to worry about that. What the law prohibits is the illegal stuff like the kind of modification that opens doors to such illegal stuff in the first place. One notorious example involves the illegal sales of devices containing Kodi with illegally pre-bundled stuffs. It's basically one definition of piracy in my opinion. Another thing to note is that flashing custom roms on an Android phone with locked bootloader is sort of illegal as it is considered circumventing DRM protections although not all Android phones come with that feature. Why would the manufacturers come up with such protections for the Android phones in the first place?
The video by Switched To Linux has like tons of things to mention about but even then, the information in the video is partially accurate. Not to mention that the original articles are in Spanish which the tech YouTubers put in the links in the video description.

In the end, it's STILL okay to for anyone in Mexico use Linux on the computer. Plus, open-source stuff like Linux has been welcome by various tech companies like Microsoft and some of Microsoft apps were already open-sourced that they can be used in Linux besides Windows and Mac.

Goodbye Volcano High Controversy Part Two

Edit: I forgot to mention here that none of the parts from whatever model are used for other models as I wouldn't do something like that. Instead, many parts of some models are disabled using MMEffect.

Part two has the MMD animation video I did of the redone Goodbye Volcano High Reveal Trailer which I sort of posted on my Twitter account. Unfortunately, it is missing some parts the original trailer has as well as one more character. What's not replicated so far:

1. The scene where the protagonist is standing with the door behind them: I've no idea where it takes place at as it looks too zoomed in, focusing on the protagonist character so it couldn't be replicated.
2. The street at night scene with the female character saying something to the protagonist: Nobody knows what she is saying and there has to be a MMD model of the street scene or some sort.
3. The performance scene: I've no idea where it takes place at and I don't think I can replicate it faithfully. Instead, I can try to animate that scene where the protagonist is seen DJing or some sort.
4. The graduation scene.

MMD models of the alcoholic drinks will NOT be in the main scene which is the night scene where all the main characters surround the campfire as I bet that it's an inappropriate idea for me. Also, sometime in the video I posted on Twitter has the stage showing part taking place outside the school. What I mean by that is, before the match in Blazblue series starts, the stage is being shown before the camera focuses on the area where two fighters face each other. However, this is where things may be different after the stage is shown where the gameplay portion may or may not be the same. If the gameplay is sports festival-based, the camera focuses on the characters standing before the starting line for dash-type/obstacle course. If the gameplay is 2D/3D action-based, the camera focuses on the area the main character is on and follows their perspective. Or if the gameplay is fighting/puzzle based, the camera focuses on the area where two characters face each other but for competitive puzzle, that's not necessarily the case. A sports festival or competitive puzzle is something I can go for according to my take of the open-source idea regarding the gameplay of Goodbye Volcano High redo.
The Story Mode of the redo is said to be taking place in the original virtual world of Goodbye Volcano High with stages based on the original scenes. This is where the actual battle between victims and the characters originally depicted in the game with the victims being human characters dragged by some culprit to the virtual world. The other modes will be Dream-Match-like and include scenes of the reconstructed virtual world as bonus scenes/stages.

Windows 12 Lite Controversy Part Two

Well, I made a tweet to Michael MJD and Billy Coore and MJD put his plan in motion in making a video about Windows 12 Lite with my tweet being used in it. From the same online store where Windows 12 Lite could be bought, there's even the computer that will be pre-loaded with multiple OSes including Windows 12 Lite as well as the phone with such a political reference I won't dare to mention here. The site itself is more or less a scam and so is the Windows 12 Lite website itself although the product name on the latter website was changed to WiinZoom 12 Lite/+Lite but other than the description change, the screenshots weren't changed whatsoever.

Windows 12 - The Bizarre OS You've Never Heard Of by Michael MJD

I guess that Microsoft found out about this or maybe the backlash might or might not have happened that the person who did this counterfeit Windows 12 stuff must have changed the website description of it. I guess that if the number of modification to Linux Lite was small when compared to original state of Linux Lite when you try to compare the package lists of the two as well as the themes, then, I assume that that may seem like a disappointing way to make an OS based on Linux Lite. Plus, it may seem risky for Michael MJD to make the ISO image of Windows 12 Lite available for free download as Microsoft will find out about it just like they found out about the Ninjutsu OS.

Ninjutsu OS Controversy

It's really unbelievable that someone would come up with the modified Windows OS that offers tons of penetration tools that makes it the answer to Kali Linux. Penetration Tools being that OS' specialization is what causes a bigger controversy in addition to the other tools and software that are bundled with it including the 3rd-party media players, 3rd-party web browsers, terminal software and the list goes on. I don't condone the penetration actions or tools as anyone can use them for whatever nefarious purposes but there's a weird reason on why the customized OS was issued the DMCA.
The claimed problem is that the OS has a couple of 3rd-party tools that add/remove Windows features with pre-removal of Windows features as part of privacy protection being copyright violation.

From what I saw of the video, there happens to be a post-startup script that disables various services, removes various apps and features as well as installs various features like Hyper-V, WSL, etc. The top part may look like RocketDock or some sort containing tons of penetration tools but again, I do not condone penetration stuff when it comes to cyber-security that the modified Windows OS itself is more questionable than the removal of Windows features as part of the script.

Another real questionable thing is the unofficial GUI skin as well as the unofficial patch that enables that opportunity as indicated by the different top-right buttons and different scroll bar. You can try switching to Tablet Mode for awhile but of course, the scroll bar and the symbols for the buttons at the top-right of the window are not changed whatsoever. Even the icons are customized as well so I guess that these unofficial customizations should make Microsoft concerned.
The links were already taken down and I think that it's already better that someone should make a better customization than this without all the stupid bloat and penetration tools. Sure, having a script like this to automate such operation post-startup is kind of unofficial but to claim that removing certain Windows features being copyright violation is ridiculous.

Goodbye Volcano High Controversy

As part of the event where the upcoming Playstation 5 games were revealed, this one's a controversial one as its writer had written the extremely disturbing Harry Potter and Pokemon materials involving underaged characters from two franchises. That was her past work but it's not the first time I discovered a controversy like that. A few previous ones included the M1 Fringe Festival 2017 which was like an adult festival and it was called out for disguising something disturbing as art as well as the cancelled Steam game, R*** Day, that was supposed to be published by Arcane City Game Studios. For that Steam game that was cancelled, it was kind of victorious for those who came up with the petition as if the Nu***u console is the only platform left for it as someone from that publishing studio stated that he liked something disturbing I can't mention here from his interview.
The writer, Kate Gray, was recently called out for her past work and her recent involvement in the development of Goodbye Volcano High for Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and PC like it's a cancel culture for people. You can give her a second chance but it's too bad that she blew it with the weirder character concept used in the game she works on. A family-friendly content she works on should be finer enough, damn it! That way, she's keeping a low profile but I suppose this is not quite the point for me.
When the trailer video was posted, it had tons of dislikes probably due to the character concept more than the writer herself. Even the name of the fictional high school/academy seems stupid for me although I can let the same name of the fictional high school from the movie, Volcano High, off since that live-action movie is about the martial arts stuff AND it has human characters.

Redo ideas

The story will be redone from scratch and in summary, it's about you battling your way through the weird fictional school in an unknown world you were dragged in and then dealing with the culprit if  you want to return home. The gameplay idea is up to you like it's an open-source idea I can come up with for you, be it an action game, puzzle game, fighting game or even a sports day game like River City Super Sports. In my case, it's going to be a puzzle game kind of an idea since it focuses on the native human characters' perspective with the opponent side being the game's characters' side. It may seem tough but the Spriters Resource website is the only place to take the assets of this game from for the opponent side although I have concerns about being called out for redoing shit like it's a fabrication.
Currently, I'm redoing the game trailer via the MMD animation consisting of mostly the models and accessories taken from various websites as well as to put in alternate music if I want to but story-wise, this is taking place in a reconstructed post-battle digital world where characters can do whatever good things they want like it's a virtual park to begin with. Unbeknownst to the culprit, the reconstruction of the fictional virtual world kicks in after you and other victims return home with the administrators formatting and reconstructing the virtual world after one of the victims calls them for the investigation.
Consider this all a prototype story and idea as the actual developers, Ko_OP, are still developing Goodbye Volcano High that will be released next year. It will also be released on other consoles after the timed exclusivity of Playstation 4 and 5 releases.
