EMET or Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit from Microsoft is the detector of the exploits on the PC that are yet to be fixed. Recently, the version 4.1 was completely bypassed as if the intruders were allowed to penetrate the computers through those exploits. The upcoming version 5.0 will fix those exploits however, it is under technical preview so things are still not secure enough.
There will be two features such as Attack Surface Reduction and Export Address Table Filtering Plus. Attack Surface Reduction is designed to fight off the exploits found in Java and Adobe Flash as if you can use EMET 5.0 for increased security while Export Address Table Filtering Plus is like the improved version of EAF.
And of course, is there a good reason for this tool to be shown at RSA conference this week?
