In May, it seems that Microsoft will be connecting Lync with Skype for extended communication for business but what about the consumers when it comes to Lync? At least for Office 365 and Hyper-V, they were already available to consumers recently but that was like two years ago or something so we don't know if Lync will be next for consumers to use or not.
The example is that the employees using Lync will be able to communicate with their friends and family in Skype through their Lync business accounts. Perhaps it may be due to the use of the Microsoft accounts but they cannot be exactly common between the business and personal Microsoft powered accounts. I don't know if this will make sense when the employees use their personal account in Lync to communicate with those using Skype through their personal accounts as well.
Also, the Android client version will be available sometime in summer.
