Blast Processing on PC Bootup

The Lenovo PCs have the ability to boot up damn quick and they are damn fast without the need of using the SSD but they can be super fast with the use of SSD. However, any faster and you won’t be able to interrupt the boot-up on time with the F2 or F8 key in case you have some technical problems. Well then, this still has to be explained here just in case. Also, the interruption is somewhat needed for BIOS configuration.

For computers using SSD with UEFI BIOS, this can be a serious problem in trying to strike F8 key. So with Windows 8, the problem can be solved by adding the BIOS configuration as part of the Windows 8 boot menu which can be useful for tablet devices as well in case you have some technical trouble where maintenance is needed but keeping both Windows 7 and 8 on the tablet is like a no-no.

In case you have a problem booting up Windows 8, the automatic failover behavior will take you directly to the boot options menu. This even includes cases where it appears that the boot has succeeded but the PC is actually unstable. An example includes the faulty driver installation that causes the login screen to go blank. If that is a better solution for tablet devices, so be it. The boot options menu is also taking place inside the Windows RE.

You can also to choose to configure certain things from the Advanced Startup. Go to PC Settings from the Charms bar and then proceed to General command. Move down to Advanced Startup and tap Restart Now to restart your computer and this time, it will display the additional boot options. There will also be Shift+Restart option because the boot options need to be available even when no one has signed in to the PC. It may help to save time in striking that freaking F8 key upon restarting.
