Seagate Backup Plus Portable Drive 1TB obtained

The old USB HDD which is the Maxtor branded one is working fine although there were recent times that it was plagued with errors that corrupted various files away like the ISOs of the operating systems to be used on the VMs as well as the virtual hard drives used for those VMs. It is still fine using VMs with virtual hard drives stored on the USB HDD but since it's all consumer level stuffs, don't expect superior reliability as seen in the enterprise-level storage devices. Not to mention that the old laptop computer I previously used whose hard drive was messed up like there are no plans to get it repaired as no repair shops fix the old computing stuffs anyway. The better bet will be to replace it with the SSD but then, I may have to buy a retail copy of the OS to install on it if that's the case. The workaround will be to use the USB Flash Drive containing Ubuntu Live and then start doing virtualization stuffs from there with the virtual hard drives being stored on the USB HDD. Needless to say, I'm not sure if the ESD Wrist Strap is needed or not for hard drive replacement.
There are already tons of USB HDDs containing the bonus cloud storage for sale but I chose the one without that bonus as I already had my Dropbox and Onedrive cloud storages in use. Not to mention that there are other bonus ways to extend your Onedrive cloud storage if you have one. The good thing about the Backup Plus Portable Drive I bought is that it has the ability to transfer wirelessly from your mobile device to that USB HDD provided that it is hooked up to the computer with the services needed for that feature enabled. In addition, you can also add the cloud storage accounts to that program that came with that USB HDD.
